[ * 1x1 request intro ] hihi, i'm seeking 18+ writers only for a dark romance / possible dead dove. oc x oc pairing of the: daughter of rich man's mistress (f) x rich man's legitimate son (m). i'm practically gnawing at the bars of my cage because i crave this one specific dark romance plot so badly. please, come at me if you wanna give me tension, twistedness, and crossed lines... i need red flag actions and toxic emotions in spades for this one,, pls gang,, lets serve chaos and obliterate the thin line between love/hate with this rp 🙏

[ * the plot basis ] f oc is the daughter of m oc's father's mistress and her irrationally beautiful and irreverent existence makes the cruel and prodigial son feel sick with so many intense and unspeakable emotions. he wants revenge and to rule, while she wants to survive and escape. the ocs trauma and upbringing provokes them into a dark game full of revenge and twisted desires. after all, f's existence has cast a shadow on m's iron-fisted rule, so he needs to put her in her place for his family/revenge's sake. while m's cruelty has led the f into a victimhood that she never desired to have, with a resentment building as she fights against him... they'll finally settle their familial debt by using their minds and bodies as a makeshift canvas and scoreboard.

[* setting ] an old money and upper crust seting full of endless money, power-fuelled hierarchy, and cutthroat machinations. i can see dark academia themes and secret society's as a possiblity. modern-day royalty, corporate elite, or a political dynasty are all viable as the family's elite basis. need a very dark family history with a lot of family secrets and in-fighting. lets have fun with with possible worldbuilding and plotting, just as much as the romance.

[ * notes ] details pending on how the cat n mouse game / revenge seeking would pan out because i can go as dark or as light as my fellow writer desires. bad endings full of mindbreak/torture are a-okay with me, AND i'm also fine with a toxic codependant romance forming to soften the ocs into a happier-ending. could see lots of dead dove ⚰️🕊️ themes in the plot if the other writer is comfortable with it (mindgames, dubcon/noncon (?), power imbalance, incest/fauxcest (?), toxicity, darker kinks, possessiveness, psychological horror, god complexes, ownership/obsession, etc). ultimately, i need the m being completely obsessed with the f, and it culminating in him wanting to break her. while she will fight back as best as she can because she is her mothers daughter just as much as he is his fathers son. possible reverse harem / poly antics are fine with me if m's best friends want to get in on the action but not a necessity. maybe secret society and fucked up frat rituals are in play. possibly, an elite academy or university setting, or alternately, a set-up for a fucked up arranged marriage. i would love an exploration into both ocs very fucked-up mindsets. we can workshop things together. <3.

ANTI MALIA/SCALIA

I think everyone has a right to like and dislike characters, as a writer I sympathize with like everyone so it's hard for me to dislike a character so passionately.

I've just seen so much Scalia/Malia hate, more Malia hate than anything, and I'm trying to figure out why that is.

When Malia was introduced I was impartial, when Stalia happened I was like hell no, and I didn't like Malia for the simple fact that she was barely given screen time before heading into a romance with a main character in the most delusional/unhealthy (from a writer's standpoint aka mine). I saw the #AntiMalia posts and all I could think was I don't like her but that's way too far. They really don't have anything better to do with their time?

When season 5 came along and Malia actually got real serious development instead of being a comic relief I took notice. I appreciated what she was going through, I connected with her character. After her Tracey and Theo car ride moment I knew that I really liked this character and that there was no reason to hold the writer's piss poor job of her entry and relationship with Stiles against her.

I may be one of the only people on this world that didn't ship Scallison and Scira. Scallison was wayyyyyy too rushed. The first episode? Come on dude. I didn't get a choice if I wanted to see those two together the show said these two are going to be together, here you go, figure it out along the way. Scira was better for me because they had time to develop a friendship before but I have so many issues with Scira.

So I've never really successfully shipped anyone with Scott, which made me kinda sad over the seasons, it was always Stiles I was shipping people with. I DO NOT SHIP MALEO.

Once I realized how much I loved Scott and Malia as characters on their own without being romantically linked to anybody else I was more okay with the idea of them getting together. At first, like a lot of people I was weirded out because of Stiles BUT STILES DID THE SAME THING WITH LYDIA SO THERE SHOULDN'T BE A DOUBLE STANDARD.

By the rules of the show, which I don't recommend going off of lol, Scott and Malia can totally get together because we've seen it happen without any drama with Stydia. HONESTLY WHY PEOPLE ARE SHOCKED BY THIS IS A MYSTERY TO ME LIKE HAVE YOU NOT SEEN A SINGLE EPISODE OF ANY TEEN DRAMA WHERE THEY ALL DATE EACH OTHER MULTIPLE TIMES?!

I digress, my point is that most you only hate the idea of Scalia because of three reasons. You hate Malia for reasons people don't like to share. Saying you hate because there's something about her is a BULLSHIT argument. If you can't give episodes or specific details why look at yourself and ask why are you being malicious. Or you ship Scira. I get it. I would be salty too. BUT WE ALL KNOW KIRA ISN'T COMING BACK. STOP USING KIRA AS AN EXCUSE FOR YOUR HATE FOR THE SHIP. ARDEN MADE THE GOODBYE VIDEO LAST SEASON, LAST YEAR, YOU HAVE NO REASON TO BELIEVE SCIRA WILL BE TOGETHER OR GET MORE SCREEN TIME. IF THEY DIDN'T BREAK UP ON AIR HOPEFULLY THE WRITERS WILL EXPLAIN IT. KIRA WILL BE GONE FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG YOU CAN'T EXPECT SCOTT TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE THAT MAY NEVER COME HOME IN HIS LIFETIME. Or you have the mindset that Scott and Malia are the only two left single so they shouldn't be together just because that/boys and girls can be friends and nothing more.

GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WITH THAT. If you think Scalia is happening soley because there the only ones left you haven't been paying attention or reading context clues. Posey and Shelley are really great friends which is why Scalia works and has a standing ground. Scalia is developed in much the same way. They have a BASIS OF FRIENDSHIP FIRST. They're both loyal to each other, protect each other, and kick ass together. They're iconic. And I still don't understand why people hate the friends into something more trope. That's a great trope. Just falling into a romance without being friends with a person is the trope I hate. BUILD THAT FRIENDSHIP YALL! MAJOR KEY ALERT.

PLEASE JUST GIVE THE VIDEOS A CHANCE, GIVE THE IDEA OF THEM BEING HAPPY A CHANCE BEFORE YOU WRITE THEM OFF. This vids at the beginning are a little AUey and are more manipued that the older ones because I made the playlist and they came out before 6a was released, the further you go down the list the more actual scalia scenes are used. I doubt any of us would be happy that Scott got a random new love interest for the last ten episodes that we know nothing about or care about and that wouldn't be in all ten episodes.

And lastly, Scott turned Malia human again. We all know that. If there hadn't been Scira or residual Scallison do you think you would've shipped Scalia then? I was blind to it until after 5b. He changed her back, she protected him from the Berserkers, from Enis at the hospital, he took care of her when she was drunk, helped with the Desert Wolf/Belasko talons, he told her he was still there for her after the Stalia breakup, if Peter hadn't bitten Scott none of this would've happened and obviously Peter's her dad. Like can yall see the lines here? And all this doesn't mean they have to be together, but if you really look at them and watch Shelley and Tyler together and Scott and Malia then hopefully you'll see what the rest of us see. Two amazing people that have come so far that care for each other they just so happen to figure out how much at the same time. :D

BITCH I LIED AGAIN. Lastly, at the very least, the idea of them is adorable. Take out Stiles for a second. If it was just Scott had turned her back and she eventually found her way to the pack but Scira still happened and ended, the idea of them wouldn't be so yuck to some of yall I would think. He's good to her. She needs that after her first relationship that wasn't great in my opinion, but also wasn't as bad as some stydias like to say. I say stalia is all wrong from a writing standpoint not a shipping standpoint. He "tames" her in some ways when she was still learning and she could bring out a wilder side in him. Hu Anita's King and Lionheart Scalia vid on that playlist showcased them perfectly. Like Scott's the King and Malia is his Lionheart. Iconic Duo.

do you have any advice for beginning rpers? i really wanna get into this style of roleplaying but i'm used to those short-answer fuckin like.. quotev or discord style roleplays. i think i could learn how to do the paragraph stuff and i've been practicing a lot and trying real hard on my own! i think i'm ready. but i see everyone on this website with years and years of experience, and i'm scared nobody will want to roleplay with a beginner :[

Oh geez. I might not be the best person to ask but I’ll try to help. I started roleplaying 12 years ago, but that was mostly on forums. So moving to tumblr was a big change because it’s a lot less organized. So let me see if I can maybe help.

Okay so if you are going into the indie rp scene, it’s not gonna be easy. 

First off, make sure you know your character’s voice. The way that they speak is important. If you do short stuff, you are probably already decent enough at this. When I first started writing (fanfics lol), I got a lot of criticism about not deprescribing things. I highly suggest that you write some stuff for practice and set a limit for yourself. Tell yourself you cannot write dialogue for a certain amount of time or paragraphs. 

Second, I’m gonna say you have to get used to rejection. People are fairly selective at times and sometimes they won’t follow you back. That’s okay. You’ll find people who will write with you. Don’t give up. People might not answer your asks. That’s okay. Not your fault. People might just fucking ignore you. Move on. Any artistic expression is open to hurt you to be honest. You are putting work into something and people can shoot you down, reject you, or ignore you. 

Third, I’d say you try to match your partner’s length. When I first started writing, my replies would get shorter and shorter. I like to go through each paragraph of my partner’s reply and try to show what my character was doing during every sentence. If they seem to be following your actions in their reply, describe what your character does next in response. Picture it in your head. Try to watch scenes of something and image how it would be written. Think about how stories or books you read do it. Matching length is one of the things that taught me how to be more descriptive and get more into my character’s head. 

Fourth is to put your head totally into your character. If you are doing a canon character, I usually like to imagine their thoughts during canon scenes. Their feelings. Music helps me think of my character’s mindset honestly. I’d suggest making a playlist you can listen to while you write.

  Okay so fifth. I’ve noticed that not being quiet helps. Reply to your mutuals opens, like the starter calls, send all the memes. Do anything to get your name on other people’s blogs. Most you followers are gonna come from people see your url on people they follow’s blogs. And remember, just because someone doesn’t answer and ask or write a starter, it doesn’t mean you should give up. I’m also gonna add that messaging people you want to roleplay with about potential plots helps. With a lot of my blogs, I’d go to people with a few plots already in my mind so they wouldn’t have to work as hard. It feels nice to have someone think about what your muses could do together. 

 Sixth, keep your ooc posting light, especially when you first make your blog. If you follow someone and they go to your page and you have all ooc posts, they might not follow you back. And always read people’s rules before you follow them to avoid complications. 

Seventh. If someone makes you uncomfortable, don’t let them keep doing it to be nice. I used to do this so much that I have had to leave blogs before. Also, make sure you have a rules page and an about page. Most people won’t follow people that don’t. 

Also, things tend to go better if you have icons and a decent theme in terms of people actually wanting to write with you. Generally, people like to use icons with shorter stuff because (in my opinion) it makes it easier to tell who’s talking. If you are serious about doing this, I would be happy to make you some graphics tbh. But if you don’t want to use them, plenty of people have a good time roleplaying without them.
