the 'visage day' story makes it such a big deal for dragons to pick their visage and it having a whole ceremony to show your peers the identity you chose and an actual vow of sorts etc
and of course it's also ancient history if it's before the blacks turned on the others so it doesn't work like that anymore (at least not for them) but it got me thinking? that this isn't just a 'disguise' they see it as part of their identity, as who they are, as much as their draconic forms. falls well in line with what I had thought for nalice before - she looks like her mother bc she's always been proud of that heritage. but I do think at some level it'd have been her own choice, too. there's the usefulness of it when there's so many human kingdoms around, but also like? it being the race she'd connect to the most? such potential for good or evil, such resilience when compared to others (inherently magical, sturdier, more long lived) they're at a disadvantage. they're ambitious and achieve so much because of that. idk I think as much as she generally has little interest in mortals there'd be a reason why she chose that form beyond onyxia's choice. and, considering what she gets to experience, it's not a choice she ever regrets.
