A short excerpt from today's interview that I found interesting

Q. 컬러 활용.

상우 : 화이트 블루블랙. 상우의 방 창문에는 블루 빛이 계속 들어오고, 책상에는 화이트 단스탠드 조명 디자인을.

재영 : 주황색 스탠드 조명처럼 따뜻한 컬러감.

서로의 색으로 물드는 과정

4화에 재영이가 상우의 젖은머리를 보는 순간에

재영 뒷부분으로 푸른빛,

상우 뒷부분에는 가로등 붉은빛이 채워주는 연출

감정적으로 교류가 일어나고 사랑에 빠질 때 각자의 프레임이 상대방의 컬러가 스며들어오게끔 연출. 예를 들어 6화 전화 통화 장면에서 재영이가 통화하는 가게를 푸른 조명으로 설정해서 그 빛이 재영의 볼에 닿게끔.

The director talked about the used of colour and light to represent Jang Jaeyoung and Chu Sangwoo in the scenes they were in. Such as wardrobes, background and props.

Jang Jaeyong mainly with bright colour such as yellow, orange and red and Chu Sangwoo with white, blue and black.

When the two characters started to realise/discover their affection towards the other, the lighting director suggested incorporating each others colour into their frames.

As you can see, the colder white standing light beside Jaeyoung and the warm orange background light beside Sangwoo.
