will someone please ask r/haircarescience why getting my roots wet without shampooing them just makes them twice as oily as they were before. what the hell.

#i tested this out to see if it was just a matter of greasy pubescence but it persists even as i have become a drier adult #it's probably because the water distributes the oils down my hair or something but like...#my scalp is pretty chill on the grease if i leave it alone and don't get it wet. it would normally take about 5-7 days to get like this.
