i hate when my mom tries to talk shit about "girlie" things or just things many women do but because she's coming from a "i wanna talk shit about other women" way and not a productive feminist critique on femininity or anything. if i so much try to encourage her to reframe her thinking from a gentler feminist lens she gets all huffy. like not my fault you're just being an asshole about how other women are dressing or that you think the barbie movie is silly even tho you don't know what its about. like even if i agree with her about something, i just know shes coming from a very mean place that i can't agree with and she hates that lmao.

and don't get me started on when her husband starts something but it all boils down to "can't believe all these women are sluts, but congrats that youre not like that!" like no???? i will not agree with you when i know your actual reasoning is just insanely stupid and misogynistic i hate listening to either of them talk about women it makes me wanna scream.
