For so many years I've refused handouts. It's really embarrassing to suddenly beg for money online. I hate it. I love how generous people are, but I hate that I have to rely on the generosity of others.

#my mom wouldn't let me go out to rasle (like trick or treating but for fastelavn) as a kid bc she saw it as a form of begging #and we were not beggars #so there's probably some deep seated childhood thing there #also the whole thing about my grandparents paying for my brothers driver's license and my dad paying for him to study abroad #while i got told i was too immature to study abroad and that i could show responsibility by paying for my own driver's license #which i still haven't had the funds to do
