after finally being able to move into a decently sized apartment after living 3 and a half years in a micro studio i fully believe micro studios should be illegal

scumlords actually went "yeah we wanna build this building and cram as many people as we possibly can into it and give each of them hardly even enough space to walk around in their homes and we're gonna charge each of them $10 per square foot for it" and everyone just let it happen

#my micro studio wouldn't have been so bad if i didn't have to pay SO GODDAMN much for it but like #even if it was only $700 or $500 a month that's still too much especially with how poorly maintained my building was #AND the fucking landlord was going to raise my rent by 100 if i signed a new lease like actually burn in hellfire #if my city actually wanted to end the housing crisis they would turn micro studios into free transitional housing or smth #but they keep getting built and landlords are allowed to make them just barely cheaper than an actual liveable studio #so they can just milk the desperate people that can't afford more for all eternity #and this is not a crime for some reason
