i might be the only person who cares, but it legitimately bums me out that whenever i see normal "good" clowns talk about the concept of evil clowns, it's always in an unconditionally negative way. like i get why clowns are understandably defensive of their hobby/line of work given just how far it's fallen out of favor* in the past 50 years or so. but i feel like the rhetoric always ends up gesturing towards maintaining the traditional image and understanding of what a clown is instead of broadening the definition and openly including so-called "bad clowns" as long as they aren't literally just people being shitty. granted, i'm not exactly aware of the current state of Clown Discourse(TM), and i get that there are numerous, unresolvable issues and occurrences that brought the public view of traditional clowning to where it is today. but traditionalists who reject the changing tides will always be doomed to sink their own ship, and that's why major clown associations should include and recognize juggalos as one of their own. thank you for coming to my ted talk
