Just a rant.
So, let me start with this.
LGBTQIA+ (not all!):
Cishets - Referring to anyone that identifies as their sex and likes the opposing sex.
“Cishets are scum.”
“DOWN WITH CIS!”
“Cis people are such homophobes and can’t accept anything!”
“Straight people don’t understand us! They constantly misgender me!”
“HE JUST MISGENDERED ME LIKE WTF???”
“Um, did he just assume my gender???”
“Why are cishets so ignorant”
Etc.
+ Now kids, I love all of you dearly, no matter who you are...but this is very wrong! Hating on straight/cishets is very much like homophobia but backwards. Not all cishets are bad. It’s like what we have to tell people not in the LGBTQIA+ community; not all gay (umbrella term) people are bad! Using the term “cishet” is kind of concerning as it is, but using it as a derogatory term is just as bad as them calling us fags. Of course you can use it as a short way to say; “They aren’t LGBTQIA+, but support us.” But using it to 1) identify ALL people who aren’t LGBTQIA+ and 2) identify homophobes is wrong! Again, using it to identify people who are cisgender and heterosexual BUT SUPPORT LGBTQIA+ is fine! I think a better term for people of the same gender and sexuality BUT DO NOT SUPPORT US should be homophobes as usual. Also, don’t expect people to get your pronouns right on the first try! For some people, this concept is VERY new and can be hard to swallow. If they misgender you, simply tell them, “Oh, sorry to bother, but I use [insert pronouns]!” Most will understand, and if they don’t, then you can always ignore it because they’re either extremely old or just being a dick. If the problem persists, you may have a VERY in depth talk with them about why using the incorrect pronouns bothers you! And to those of you with neopronouns: while I myself don’t understand it, I’m sure other people do, so lightly bring it up in a conversation to get someone’s views on it. If they are unaccepting, you may use default pronouns to your liking! I have an internet friend who uses ze/hir pronouns and very commonly tells people that ze uses they/them pronouns. It’s not too bad to go out of your comfort zone so you can help eliminate the discrimination against us! Also, religion isn’t just Christianity, and not all religions hate us. I, for one, actually do have a religion, and one that is non-discriminatory (despite the fact I shitpost about a lot of things. I’m trying to change it, that’s just me personally tbh).
Anti-LGBT:
“All gays are SJW scum”
“Dude his pronouns aren’t even real lol”
“That gender is fake”
“It goes against the bible!”
“Science says otherwise”
“Gays are dumb, like, there aren’t more than 2 genders”
“There are only 2 genders!”
Etc.
+ So I understand the frustration, guys and gals. This is a very new concept, and those of you who are against it for religious purposes, you’re fine. But we all ask that you still respect our pronouns, gender, sexuality, etc. Even though we’re not heteronorm, we’re still just as human as you are. If you’re getting loads of shit from someone about you misgendering them on accident etc., just explain. And again, be respectful! 7/10 we’ll be respectful back, accounting that all of us are working together to help you all understand us better. Speaking of, let us get to know you! Tell us about your religion/beliefs etc., it may help you if we can debunk rumors/myths about our community! Plus we love sharing our stories about how we came out, why we’re this way, so on so forth. And it’s one step closer to getting better understandings of one another so that eventually, we can put all differences aside and work together as humans to progress as a specie. For those of you who are more tolerant and/or are willing to accept us, feel free to start by popping the question all of us love to hear; “What are your pronouns?” Don’t understand it? Ask! Don’t think you like it? That’s okay, I understand that not everyone is so accepting the first time around. Once you get used to it, you may be surprised at how natural it seems. If not, then again, it’s fine. We aren’t going to force you to love us for our differences.
Feminists (UMBRELLA TERM, NOT AT ALL MEANT FOR ALL OF YOU!):
“Men are rapists!”
“Men are disgusting pigs!”
Golly neds this hurts.
“Men are ignorant.”
“LET US FREE OUR NIPPLES!”
“This character is oversexualized! Redesign her so she’s not so fetishy!”
“FTM ARE GOING AGAINST WOMEN TO BECOME PIGS!”
“MTF ARE JUST CREEPY MEN TRYING TO GET INTO WOMEN’S RESTROOMS!”
Etc...
+ I respect your cause. I don’t respect what you say. First; not all men are rapists. If a man simply asks a woman for something, don’t assume it’s rape, don’t assume shit other than he’s asking her to get him something. If he is rude and being very chauvinist (new terminology for me, sorry if I used that wrong), then step in! Like I said, not all men are rapists, murderers, liars, pigs, etc. They’re just as human as you are, and some are even fighting for your rights! Secondly; I would LOVE to let you guys go around without your shirts, but honestly, I dunno if I could handle it. While yeah, they’re just nipples on large (or small) balls of squishy skin, they are also very sacred for some of us. For me, they are very sacred to a woman’s body; that’s how you feed our children, it’s just like the nipples on an animal's body. They use it to feed their kids, we use ours to feed our own. Not that I find them sexual, I just think that flaunting around something sacred like that is just...displeasing. I mean, I feel the same for men, I don’t like looking or thinking about men with their shirts off, their bodies are theirs to look at, not ours. Anyways. Character designs. They’re fictional? And if men seriously look at you ladies that way then...gross? That’s very unrealistic tbh and I’d hope that everyone with a brain knows that the beauty that’s flaunted in videogames is VERY rare to achieve in real life naturally. If men actually think that videogame girls are an actual representation of women then...wow. Not sure how low their IQ is, but it’s low. And no, FtM/MtF transgenders are not any different than you. I mean, a man wanting to be a woman? Shouldn’t you be happy? She’s on your side, she’s representing you. All she wants to do is be like you. And a woman wanting to be a man? I mean...some of us understand what it’s like to be a woman. To an extent. I don’t know really what it’s like, but I get these few things: periods, men constantly staring at your boobies (before I got a chestbinder this was a problem for me), guys hitting on you, guys thinking they’re better than you...etc. But honestly, most of us transguys don’t think that men override women because of...fuck, anything. I mean, sure men have done a lot in the past, but now women have the same rights as us and have been doing more lately than men. And there’s this; you ladies carry babies. You can home another human being inside of your own body, then push it out of another one of your sacred parts, your vagina. Some of you risk completely tearing your vagina to bring life into this world. and I agree, the way some men treat you is terrible. And I do agree, some of you deserve more respect from said men than what you get. But realize that not every man will torment you because he thinks you’re weaker, because he thinks that since he’s a man he has more rights, because he blablabla. There are so many reasons that I can’t come up with because...shit man. Anyways, back to transgirls/boys. Transgirls aren’t all creeps who want into the women’s restroom. They just genuinely want to be a woman, like you. And maybe that’s not the case for some, but it is for most. All you can do is say, “cool.” I mean, there’s not much to it, some guys wanna be girls and some girls wanna be guys, doesn’t mean that they’re all anti-women’s rights and/or chauvinist pigs just wanting to fuck. I know this was much longer than the other two, but I feel more strongly about this than I do the other two. But I will add more on to all of them as I go along, and anyone else can add on as well.
