He was born in London to a teenage mother who couldn’t handle a child and while she tried to raise him for a few years, she ended up dropping him off of an orphanage, reassuring they’d come back, only to never see him again.

Even after over 20 years, he still experienced anger over this and for the longest time blamed himself for it. Maybe if he wasn’t so rowdy or maybe if he was more patient his mother would have stayed. I honestly don’t think he’s fully accepted the fact that it wasn’t his fault

Growing up with that anger and resentment, Kaleb grew up to be a rather cocky asshole, as he would put it. He mainly cared about himself, and his few friends who actually stuck by him despite being such a dick to others.

But around the age of 18, he ended up having a near death experience and it made him realize that he wasn’t living to his full potential and decided to flip his life around as best he could. He started talking to others, hearing their stories and trying to empathize more than just thinking of what would benefit him.

He had been practicing magic off and on throughout his teen years but really took a liking to it around the age of 14, having received a grimoire from a close witch friend and using it for basically any fun purpose. Though after the near death experience he became more adapt at reeling it in

Halusin ihan vaan piruuttani vähän lätistä sarjakuvan teosta itsestään, ja kahtella tän vuoden saralta omaa kehittymistäni. Ja myös koska tykkään puhua tästä koska jumankekka en ees tajunnu millasta tää sarjakuvailu käytännössä on. Nostan hattua kaikille niille jotka sarjakuvailee ammatikseen/julkaisee muuten vaan pitempää tarinaa. Ootte ihan vitun kovaa porukkaa.

Positiivista

-Ylipäätään uskallan postata näitä sarjakuvia! Tää ei ehkä oo ihan niin selvä asia, mutta varsinkin alussa näiden sarjisten nettiin laittaminen oli ihan jumalaton kynnyskysymys. Propsit kaikille niille joille omien töiden julkiseks laittaminen ei oo iso juttu ollenkaan. Ja nytten kun hetken aikaa on tätä tehty jatkuvalla syötöllä niin se ei enää tunnu niin jännäkakkaa tuottavalta touhulta. Thank god.

-Mulla oli itse asiassa tavoite tän vuoden alussa. Ja se tavoite oli…"Piirrä 12 sivua sarjakuvaa vuoden sisään". Eli te jotka osaatte loogisesti laskea, se olis yks sivu per kuukausi. NO TOTAS! Juu se tavoite saatiin rikki kesäkuun lopussa. Nykyään page count istuu numerolla… "Ihan Vitusti". Idk jotain 70-ish se taitaa olla. Ja oon huomannu kanssa että alussa kun se yhden sivun vääntäminen oli silleen että itken ja potkin ja en halua/pysty/kykene/jaksa/tuntuu pahalta jne jne ja yhteen sivuun oikeesti menee se kuukausi, niin nykyään mä pystyn tekemään kokonaiset kaks sivua per viikko ilman että kuolen siihen. Ja varsinkin mun aivoilla jotka ei suostu tekemään mitään ellei kirveellä uhata(jos silloinkaan).

-Uskaltaisin sanoa että yleisesti ottaen ainakin taustojen teko on tullut mulle helpommaksi vaikka ne vieläkin on ihan saatanasta. Opettelin viime vuoden puolella puolväkisin yhden ja kahden pointin perspektiivit, ja oon niitä käytellyt näissä sarjiksissa. Mulla on enemmän uskallusta käyttää erilaisia kuvakulmia, enkä mä enää niin sanotusti joudu vaihtamaan paneelin kuvakulmaa sen takia, että en osaa piirtää jotain asiaa tietystä kuvakulmasta. Näitä on nimittäin tapahtunut.

-Hahmot on stabilisoitunut ulkomuodoltaan jonkin verran, ja niitä on helpompi piirtää. Tosin Pasin töyhtö ja Eemelin tukkapehko tuottaa vielä ongelmia, mutta kyllä me niistäkin selvitään. Haluaisin myös olettaa että sitä surullisenkuuluisaa Same Face-syndroomaa ei oo päässyt tapahtumaan, mutta se onkin vaan mun oma oletus.

-MÄ EN OO KERTAAKAAN PIILOTTANUT KÄSIÄ TARKOTUKSELLA! Jummijammi oon ylpee kun en oo paennut tältä aiheelta. Kuitenkin uskallan sanoa että ne käsien piirtämiset on aika universaali tuskan aihe taiteilijoilla, niin vähän pitää olla ylpeenä sen tiimoilta.

-Teidän kommentit ja tägit. Ei oo mun omaa käsialaa, mutta luen teidän reaktiot myös positiiviseks, sue me. Te laitatte ihan helvetin hyvää palautetta ja mulle tulee hyvä mieli tietää että mitä mieltä ihmiset on tästä mun perseilystä. -Ne murteet, ofc. Voi Jeesus, ne murteet! Voi olla että en ikinä niitä opi, mutta haluan silti vielä ite koittaa niiden opiskelua. Joten väärät murteet ehkä vielä jatkuu jonkin verran ennen kun luovutan. Mulle on tarjottu apuja tän asian saralta, mutta ihan vielä en halua mennä siitä mistä se aita on matalin. Kiitos kuitenkin avun tarjoajille. Ja mun sarjikset on vapaata riistaa, jos ite haluatte korjata niin anti mennä. Ja aina saa kommentoida ja kritisoida!

-Dimensiot vieläkin venyy ja paukkuu. Ei ihan niin paljon kun ennen, mutta en vieläkään oo saanu taustoja ns. standardisoitua, joten en ihmettelis jos esim. sen solukämpän koko ois teillä yks iso kymysysmerkki.

-Taustat yleisesti. Vaikka oon ylpee siitä että ne on nykyään helpompia mulle, niin vihaan niitä silti. Ja erityisesti mä oon tehnyt tosi vähän taustoja ulkomaailmasta. Haluaisin jossain vaiheesa piirrellä sitä Turkuakin ihan vaan koska, noh, tää poppoo asuu siellä. Ja son itselle rakas kaupunki. Haluaisin piirrellä mm. sitä Aryzin aikanaan tekemää Harvest-grafiittia. Sitä ei enää oo valitettavasti olemassa(se peitettiin 2021 Oatlyn kauramaitomainoksella), mutta se oli mun lemppari katutaidetyö kaikista Turkkusen rojekteista. Haluaisin myös piirrellä Turun tuomiokirkkoa, Aurajokea, ja Paavo Nurmen patsasta.

-Oon tosi useasti valinnut ns. pelkurin tien kun oon näitä sarjiksia piirrelly. Tää ei teille välttämättä aina näy, mutta muutaman asian ootte varmastikkin spotannut. Näihin kuuluu esimerkiksi ihokarvojen poissaolo hahmoilla, puhekuplien jännä asettelu ja sivujen vähyys per postaus. Sellaiset asiat myös kuten Annan ihon venytysarpien poissaolo tai se että Henrillä oli pitkähihainen paita päällä siinä yhessä postauksessa taas on sellainen asia mitä te ette ees rekisteröi virheeks(teillä kun ei oo kontekstia, ei voi huomaa mitä ei tiedä olevan olemassa), mutta tottakai mä itse oon tietoinen näistä päätöksistä.

-liikkeen kuvaaminen, paneelien käyttö ja ääniefektien käyttäminen. Huomaan usein että kun oon postannut niin siellä sarjiksessa ois ollut paneeli joka näyttäis paljon dynaamisemmalta vauhtiviivojen kanssa, tai että siellä ois pitänyt olla oven avausääniefekti tai jokin muu mikä jää ärsyttämään. Ja koska teen sarjiksia 50-50 metodilla(alotan kynällä ja paperilla-> tussaan-> skannaan koneelle-> lisään harmaasävyt/värin ja tekstin-> done), niin se sivuun takasin palaaminen ei aina ookkaan ihan niin helppoa kun täysin digitaalisesti tehdyn sarjiksen kanssa. Toisaalta tykkään jättää ne virheet sinne postaukseen kahdesta syystä; 1. Oon laiska, ja 2. Se virheiden myöntäminen tekee joskus hyvää, ja voin sitten panostaa tuleviin rojekteihin ja vertailla että mikä on muuttunut niiden välillä.

End of year asks: RPC Edition!

Talk about one of your favorite threads that started this year.

I decided to pick 3 threads here. I had so many during the year and honestly I love most of them but these three came to my mind after a bit of thinking.

Date in a Cafe Part 1 & Part 2 with @ask-ruki-mukami + pretty much all private RPs with him

I'm not going to lie. The RPs with Ruki are special and they have a deeper meaning for me. So, it was actually very difficult to pick just one. I almost choose the Mistletoe thing but it was finished in private... Though, now when I think about it, so was the cafe date interaction as well 🤣

Okay, let's face it. I just put one thing here but my favorite is probably the private story we have going on. Rukiko means the world to me, I've put my heart and soul into this ship. The couple has grown a lot this year, and I look forward to their future. We have created something so amazing that one thread couldn't cover it.

A Pillow Fight in the Tsukinami Manor with @elizabeth-virnien

I had difficulties with this too. Eli and Yuriko have grown so close. I truly adore their relationship and this pillow fight was just one of the amazing things they did together this year.

I truly wish that Eli and Yuriko can have more fun in the future and have many interesting threads or private RPs. The friendship of these two has my heart.

And... another struggle but I decided to go with their first interaction. The time before Yuriko got to know Kuron's other side. The thread was fun to write and it was an interesting way to get to know the character... and well, it was the start of the series of interactions that have shaped their relationship ever since. Surprises after surprises... maybe one day Yuriko knows to expect the unexpected and isn't surprised anymore about Kuron's deeds... but we'll see how this goes 🤭

Rukiko Headcanons

I should probably write more of those now that we have written the story so much more. But yeah... I live and breathe Rukiko, so obviously those headcanons are my favorites.

Did you the mun learn anything about yourself this year? What?

A lot actually. The start of the year was rough for me in many ways, both IRL and RP-wise. I went into dark places but l was lucky to have good people around me and they pulled me up... again and again.

I learned that I can survive tough things. Not alone but with friends. And I learned to give myself a little more value. Tbh, I still struggle with this but at least I see how I am now.

I learned to say "no" for certain things and draw some limits.

And I learned that I see some things very differently than others. It's okay. They can have their opinions and I will respect those, but I will respect mine as well and keep doing what I want to do. No matter what others think about it.

everyone deserves a fresh start — especially the residents of hawkins, indiana . some are beginning to question if the town is cursed but an unlucky few know the truth about the seemingly - quaint town . after being plagued by tragedy and defeating the mind flayer , everyone is hoping that their suffering has come to an end ... but living in hawkins is never that easy . despite the current lull , they can only wonder if the chaos is finally over or if what’s to come could be worse than what they’ve conquered in the past . 

𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲.

a canon - divergent and head - canon enthused stranger things roleplay taking place after the events of season three , leading into the events of season four . all muns and muses must be 20+ , canon and original muses are permitted , standard rules of etiquette apply . mutuals and/or those who liked the previous interest post will be given preference .

( 1 ) no ooc drama , no godmodding , no ship chasing , no bubble roleplaying .  keep negativity / rants in the chat minimal . i am here for you if something is wrong but please be mature about your complaints and concerns . if you cause ooc drama , you’ll be removed with NO WARNING .

( 2 ) mature themes are likely going to be present in this verse so be mindful before applying . please censor triggering material and mark channels as nsfw , if necessary . muns, muses and faceclaims must be 20+ . ideally for the younger group , they’re between the ages of twenty and twenty - one with the older group being twenty - two or twenty - three . 

( 3 ) as stated in the interest post , i do want to keep this on the small and intimate side but i don’t have a mun cap in mind . you’re allowed to play three muses . due to the lack of diversity within the show , i highly encourage thinking outside the box with fcs for the younger group since their faceclaims can’t be used and being as diverse as possible when bringing in original characters . at least ONE of your muses MUST be gender - diverse or a person of color .

( 4 ) although real life always comes first , please don’t join if you are not able to adequately contribute to the group . this will be a collaborative space with no activity limit ... don’t take advantage of that . since this group is set in the 80s , one - liners and paras will be preferred . i will allow occasional text threads due to convenience ( we’ll use our imagination and pretend it’s a quick walkie talkie convo or something ) but face - to face - interactions should get precedence .
