#multiple times per day and clog the tags

I did a quick look around the other day and noticed edelstans have been digging through blogs pulling up old buried discourse
Ofc r/axis jumps on that bandwagon cuz he openly admits he loves toxic behavior arguing . His behavior has so many red flags and to top it off it screams stalker. (Btw your username appears under his 2022 most reblogged from list)
Then he acts like it's not his creepy behavior that's wrong its everyone else who is wrong. Like boy, are you even self aware?
No means no. Block means stop interacting with the person who blocked you. It does NOT mean "oh I've been blocked so let me stalk them and use every other means to reach them!!"
But what can I expect from edelstans who are so obsessed with their imperialist waifu and can't let her go while the rest of fandom moves on. Its like they're so mad people have lost interest that they're resorting to digging up buried discourse to get attention.
Most users who have criticized their fav imperalist warmonger have blocked the edelstans and moved on to other things. (even r/axis openly admits he's been blocked by like... everyone) But the edelstans are on their knees begging yall not to leave and screeching for attention.
I've noticed that too. I had a post from almost two years ago get a random reply on it, and I heard that others had something similar happen to them too. Given how relatively silent it's been for a while, most assume it has something to do with Engage's upcoming release and how these folks don't want attention from 3H to fade, so they decided to... annoy the shit out of everyone. As per usual of Edelstans lmao.
And it does seem like ol' Raxxy-poo has hopped on along, cuz like I said far as I was under the impression of he was mostly doing nothing, until recently. If nothing else the worst thing he was doing was clogging up the Dimitri tag with hate, because he's just a swell guy like that, but I thought he was at least movin' away from fuckin' around with other people outright.
But, nope. Took a peek over on his blog to see if maybe, for once, he took something out of this, but, nuh-uh. He's still the same asshole as ever, goin' on about how "no one has the right to silence me!!!" in response to people telling him to respect other people's boundaries. How he was totally right to harass n*lsh off of tumblr because n*lsh was being mean (and how it totally wasn't harassment, he swears, it was n*lsh who just folded under the pressure... that r/axis forced him under... for an extended period of time... long after n*lsh made it clear he wants nothing to do with him... but it's not harassment he promises). How he totally had nothing to do with moonlitboar's harassment since he was "at work" at the time of moonlitboar's extended period of getting harassed - guess r/axis is just a hard little worker bee who is given no breaks for multiple days, cuz moonlitboar's situation was not over the course of one day like he makes it sound like it was. And how if people just ignored him he leave them alone, totally (aka "it's their fault I decided to keep bothering them")! Which is why he still evidently kept looking at my blog to look for more people to fuck with, despite me almost never talking to or about him ever.
The guy acts like it would literally, actually kill him in real life if he stopped talking to/about people who don't want anything to do with him. Or that his "right to speak his mind" would be irrevocably snatched from him forever if he left the people who blocked him alone - you know, showing a basic respect for other people's boundaries? Really doesn't seem to like doing that, looks like.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, that does seem to be at least a plausible reason - if only because nothing else is really going on that would suddenly cause the uptick. And on one hand I do get the want to stay on 3H - I love the game to bits and would love to keep seeing others make content for it. But if that really is the motivation as to why their doin' this shit then I'd be... theoretically baffled, though not really surprised given everything that's happened in this fandom. I cannot think of a more self-defeating method of getting people to stay on 3H like "Maybe if we bother and annoy and poke and prod at everyone who doesn't like/critiques Edelgard, they'll ignore the new game coming out and keep talking about 3H!" Like my brother in Christ that ain't it

[questions for fic writers]
Thanks!
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about [insert fic]? Answer it now!
I'm being real boring and chose something I've actually been asked before: why do I write some fics in past tense and some in present tense? I think part of it has to do with the source material - movies/shows feel like they're happening right in front of me, that's why my Tatort Berlin fic (and both the wips) is in present tense, while the ddf books are written in past tense, so that's what I'm using - mostly. Because sometimes I think present tense gives a fic a greater sense of immediacy, draws the reader in closer, which is why I do have some ddf fic in present tense, mostly ones I want to feel very raw.
12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?
Well, when I got into the fandom, I really wasn't interested in writing (or reading) AUs, always said I wouldn't do it, but I have multiple multichaptered AU fics now, so.... xD
9. How do you find new fic to read?
Going to be honest, on ff.de I currently mostly read what authors I already follow post, don't have the patience to look through new uploads, filter out what doesn't interest me (since there's no build in excluding filter on ff.de, or any *functioning* filtering anyway) and then look into it in the hopes that the writing isn't abysmal. For ao3 I actually always have multiple tabs open on my phone that're for fic - the Three Investigators tag (with Peter/Bob excluded, because I don't care for that and it's massively clogging up the tag 🤷‍♂️), the Tatort tag (with *a lot* of pairings/characters excluded and set only to completed works because I don't really care deeply about that fandom, I just read what seems interesting), and uh. the "Robert Karow" tag (with no other filters, because there's a grand total of 64 works for him, more than one where he's only mentioned, and I am fucking starving for Karow content) - and I refresh those three tabs multiple times per day to see if anything new has been posted and then I either read it or I don't.

How to Find Reliable Services for Plumbing in Irvine
Tumblr media
Plumbing is one of those things we often take for granted until something goes wrong. When you have a leaky faucet, a clogged drain, or need a new water heater installed, you need a plumber you can rely on. But with so many options out there, how do you find the right one? In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to find the best plumbing in Irvine, ensuring your plumbing needs are met by experienced professionals who charge a fair price for their work.
What to Look for in Your Plumber?
When it comes to plumbing, you don't want to leave things to chance. Here are some key factors to consider when hiring a plumber:
1. Licensing and Insurance
First and foremost, make sure the plumber you choose is licensed and insured. Licensing is crucial because it shows that the plumber has the necessary skills and expertise to handle your plumbing project. Insurance, often referred to as bonding, is essential to protect both you and the service provider in case of any damages that might occur during the installation or repair work. Always ask to see their credentials before hiring.
2. Honesty and Transparency
Dealing with a vague or unreliable plumber can be incredibly frustrating. It's essential to establish clear communication right from the start. If you have specific requirements or need the work to be completed within a certain timeframe, make sure you communicate these details clearly and ensure the plumber understands and agrees to your conditions before hiring them. Transparency in all aspects of the job is key to a successful plumbing in Irvine.
3. Price vs. Value
While it can be tempting to go for the cheapest option, this may not always be the best choice. When selecting a plumber, it's a good idea to get multiple estimates to compare prices and services. However, remember that quality work often comes with a slightly higher price tag. Don't compromise on the quality of service for a lower price, as it could end up costing you more in the long run. Look for a balance between affordability and expertise.
4. Experience and Reputation
Experience matters when it comes to plumbing in Irvine. Plumbers who have been in the business for a longer time are more likely to have encountered a variety of plumbing issues and have the knowledge to handle them effectively. Do some research to find out how long the plumber or plumbing service has been in operation. A decade or two of experience is a good indicator of a seasoned professional who can provide excellent service.
5. References
One of the most reliable ways to gauge the quality of a plumber's work is by talking to their previous clients. Reputable plumbers typically keep a list of references handy and are more than willing to share contact information with potential clients. Reach out to these references and ask about their experiences with the plumber. Were they satisfied with the work? Did the plumber meet their expectations? This can provide valuable insights into the plumber's performance and reliability.
6. Get a Guarantee
Always, and we mean always, get a written guarantee from your plumber. If a plumber claims they can perform a specific repair or installation, having that agreement in writing is crucial. It serves as a form of protection for you in case any unforeseen problems arise after the work is completed. A reputable plumber will stand behind their work and willingly provide a written guarantee.
Understanding the Cost: You Must know
Now that you know what to look for in a plumber, let's talk about the cost. The average cost of hiring a plumber in Irvine is approximately £50 per hour or £350 per day. However, keep in mind that the final cost can vary depending on several factors, including the complexity of the plumbing work, the individual plumber or plumbing service, and their level of experience. Additionally, you may be required to pay a callout fee, especially if you need plumbing services outside of regular business hours, which can add an extra £100-£120 to the bill.

“I’m done.” Steve’s voice, all Southern hospitality and exhaustion, breaks you out of the haze you’re in and have been in for the last two hours, English and Spanish swimming before your eyes and you smile up at him reflexively, grateful for the distraction, however small it is. It had been a bad day for everyone, bad intel and a bad raid and now you’re stuck shifting through mountains of files, looking for where you went wrong and the next plan of attack. “Do you want a ride?”
“I’m good, I want to work on this a bit more,” You say confidently, trying for a tone and an expression that says ‘I’m staying because I want to finish this, not because I don’t want to be alone yet’ while his blonde eyebrows knit together high on his forehead. Your smile doesn’t crack under the weight of the energy he’s putting out, brotherly and almost concerned as his eyes flick towards the only other people in the office with you; Javier and Carrillo.
“I’ll be fine, I promise,” You snort when Javier waggles his eyebrows dramatically at you over a stack of his own files to go through. “Javi’ll take me home,” You say because he will. You don’t have a car, having wanted to save money and not fully grasping the inherent dangers of being a DEA agent who relies on public transport in the middle of Escobar’s territory before you had moved here.
You’d started saving the second week of living in Colombia, but somewhere along the way it had become less of a pressing issue and more of an afterthought as you fell into the rhythm of jumping into Steve’s car as he swung by on his way into work or pounding on Javier’s door, just down the hall from your own with some sort of baked good in your hands as the customary bribe.
“You sure?” He’s giving you another chance, another out, because it’s late and it’s hot and his nerves are probably still frayed just like everyone else’s who aren’t showing it and he no doubt thinks you need a break just as much as he does.
“I’m a big girl, Steve. I’ll be fine,” You turn a page, sending him the message that yes, you’re staying. You’ll wait Javier out, promising him some muffin or cookie you’d picked up from the store, crumbly and too sweet but he gobbles them down anyways.
“Oh—kay,” He drawls out, sounding unconvinced but he’s picking his jacket up from where it’s been laying on his desk. “You crazy kids don’t have too much fun now,” He digs his keys from his pocket as he walks out and the hollow slam of the door shutting behind him doesn’t shake anyone.
And it takes a moment for the gravity of what you’ve just done to sink into you, how you’ve just stranded yourself on a desert island of paperwork and intel. How you’re trapped between the two men you think about late at night when you’re alone and hungry, now hunched over one singular desk with them and your mouth goes dry.
Your skin prickles and some part of you thinks that this might be better; better than the stress of the day and the frustration that rises in your blood every time you have to ask one of them to translate for you because cartel slang isn’t taught in any class and at least Carrillo tells you. You’ll tilt the paper at him and point and he leans close, brows heavy over his sharp eyes and he’ll say it once in English, only once and his tone is equal parts exhaustion and frustration but it’s enough.
Javier is more of a bastard about it. The way he smirks every time you ask him for anything, smooth and suggestive and asking what you’ll do for him as payment and as much as it gets on your nerves you can’t help but rise to it, batting your eyelashes and threatening to do one thing or another which of course never fazes him. It helps soothe the more ragged edges of your nerves, falling back on the familiar rhythm of your friendship, the push and pull wrapping around your shoulders like a security blanket.
You both know that you’ll each fall apart in your own way as soon as goodnights have been said and your apartment doors have closed, but that’s a problem still hours away. It’s a problem you’ll deal with alone in your bed, hugging your pillow and wishing you had someone warm and solid sharing your bed because you could attach yourself to them somehow you think. Anchor your body to theirs, to reality, so you don’t float off into nightmares.
Carrillo seethes beside you, quiet and his mouth set in a hard line but you still find yourself wanting to reach out to him. It’s stupid but you want to reach out and smooth your hands over him, want to bleed the tension form his body because he carries too much of it and he can’t bury it under innuendos and harmless flirting like Javier can, like you’ve learned to.
You think about it sometimes, what might happen if you acted on your desires with the Colonel. You know what will happen with Javier if you ever take him up on the offer, one that’s stood since your first week here. You’ll know that he’ll treat you right, that he’ll take you out of your head and take you apart piece by piece. Maybe he’ll even put you back together again and you can’t deny that you’ve been thinking about it more and more lately.
But Carrillo is a puzzle and maybe that’s why you keep thinking about him as much as you do, maybe you want to take him apart just as much as you want Javier to do the same to you. You want to know what it’s like to have all that energy focused on you, intense and bordering on obsessive. All consuming.
The next exhale is shaky and you realize you need to stop before you start staring at them, at the way Carrillo’s shoulders fill out his uniform or catch Javier’s profile out of the corner of your vision, the way his mouth twists with displeasure underneath his mustache. You need to stop before you start thinking about what that mustache will feel like against your skin or how tight Carrillo’s grip on you would be.
You try to bury yourself back in the files and grainy photographs, trying to ignore the ache between your thighs and you realize that you were wrong, that this is worse.
The next hour passes in a haze, steeped in frustrations and stress and an insidious kind of tension, the air plucked taut like a bow string. You’ve untucked your blouse and have already undone the first button but you’re reaching for the next two barely ten minutes later and you don’t know if you’re overheated from the weather or the look you’d seen Javier give you when you reached for your collar the first time, thick eyes slid over to you and following the motions of your fingers. You think Carrillo might be watching you, too— see his head tilt from the corner of your eye, see his fingers still as they turn a page. You keep going, slipping the buttons from their closures and maybe you make more of a show than you should of opening your collar. Of fanning yourself and slipping your hand underneath your shirt to rub your shoulder.
No one says a word and you keep your eyes fixed on the ones in front of you, absently kneading your own shoulder as you wait for their eyes to slide away, for the moment to pass because it feels like it’s clogging your throat.
“Need a hand?” Javier raises his eyebrows, points his chin at the one you have stuck up your shirt, your fingers squeezing at the knot that’s formed and you snort. It splinters the tension enough that you can breathe.
“In your dreams, Peña,” Because the last thing you need right now is for him to touch you, the rasp of his fingers over your smooth skin with Carrillo watching the entire thing, less than three feet away. Your stomach clenches at the thought, a traitorous thrill forcing its way up your spine and you dig just a little too far into the tendon and a noise slips from your lips.
You expect Javier to call you out on it, on the way the sound just...flows out, low and keening but pitched up towards the end and you don’t breathe. You don’t know if anyone breathes because it’s like you’re the only three people awake right now. The only three people alive and the glow of the streetlights outside is pulsing and hazy as it slips through the cracks in the blinds and it’s making you feel like you’re in a fever dream, like suddenly all the consequences of bad decisions, of feeding the monster in your gut are going up in the smoke that bleeds from Javier’s cigarette.
But he doesn’t. He doesn’t and neither does Carrillo and your breath shakes itself out of you, your fingers smoothing over the tendon you had just curled into and you have half a mind to go home, to try and call Javier off the hunt so you can curl up in your own bed and try to sleep off the stress and the heat, the thoughts that keep rising to the surface.
The sound of Carrillo yanking a drawer open drags you out of the daydream that’s trying to coalesce and you see him pull the bottle out; think that the frustration must be getting to him. You can’t blame him for it.
“I hope you’re planning on sharing, Carrillo,”
Because there’s something to be said for warm alcohol and the way it burns the whole way down like it’s holding a grudge. You don’t know what it is— it’s something clear and biting that smells like window cleaner when Carrillo unscrews the cap and passes it to you, the bottle half drunk already and the thought is dim in the back of your mind that the Colonel himself must’ve done this dozens of times before, that your lips are wrapping around the very same rim as his must have as you swallow a mouthful and try your best not to grimace. Your lips tingle on contact and you know whatever it is it’s strong, probably enough to fuzz your better judgement.
You’re already passing it to Javier when you see him reaching for it, fingers hungry in the way they wrap around the bottle. He gulps, bares his teeth at the taste and holds it out to Carrillo who swallows a mouthful of what you suspect to actually be paint stripper without blinking. Rinse, repeat.
The alcohol loosens your tongues and before you know it Javier is cluing you in on the things that are said behind your back, when you’re not in the room. Warning you about a young agent who’s been making noise about asking you out, maybe getting you in bed and you can’t help it.
You chuckle and the words rise unbidden to your tongue, spurred on by a combination of alcohol and stress, of sleep deprivation and the oppressive heat. You don’t realize your mistake until a second after the words are out of your mouth and you can feel your stomach drop to the floor.
“I’d rather fuck you grumpy bastards,”
Because it’s just as much about the wording, how you said it as much as it’s about the fact that you said anything at all. You’d rather fuck them. Not either, not one of. You’d rather fuck them.
“What was that?” There’s a change in Javier’s voice, some new chord resonating in the air and it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Carrillo drinks slowly from the bottle and you can see his throat working, his Adam’s apple bobbing and he’s looking at you with intent. It makes you want to squirm.
“I— I just mean if I had to choose, between you and Miller I mean, I’d— I would choose you,” You fumble it and you know it. You’re not looking at either of them, eyes staring down at the files still on the desk because you feel warm and prickly all over, trying to keep your breathing even because you’re spiraling. You’re afraid; afraid of their reactions, if they’ll snort and reject you after all and afraid of what will happen if word gets out. The fear tangles with arousal in your gut, as exhilarating as it is confusing and no one is saying anything.
You see motion out of the corner of your eye, a large hand gripping the back of your neck a moment later and he almost pulls you out of the chair with his urgency to crash your lips against his own— Carrillo. You melt into the kiss, welcome his tongue into your mouth and you’re abundantly aware of the fact that Javier is just on the other side of you, that you’re being watched.
Your breathing shallows and it’s like you have a fever you’re so hot, drinking down every bit of attention that’s being lavished on you between Carrillo’s mouth on yours and Javier’s hands, sliding around your middle and squeezing your sides before you feel him crowding further into your personal space. It’s already verging on too much for you, too many things happening at once and not going to stop until you’re boiled down to a creature of lust and sensation and nothing else.
Carrillo keeps one hand in your hair while he eats at your mouth, keeping you in place for him while his other drops to your thigh, palming it before he slides his hand down to your knee and holds, stopping you from creating any friction for yourself before you could even try. You whine and Javier’s even closer than before, covering your neck with kisses now and his mustache tickles enough to have you trying to recoil from it, chills sweeping throughout your body and his chuckle dark in your ears.
Carrillo’s teeth drag over your bottom lip at the same time Javier starts to unbutton the rest of your shirt, his hand deft and seeking as it slips underneath the fabric, his other mirroring Carrillo with the way it grips the meat of your thigh. You whine, trying to grasp Javier’s shirt in an effort to ground yourself or to pull him closer you aren’t entirely sure because all you know is their hands on you and the ache that’s burning you up inside, the taste of the alcohol on Carrillo’s tongue as it sweeps through your mouth.
Your shirt flutters to the floor in a soft heap and Javier’s attention stays on your chest for what feels like ages, palming your breasts through your bra while Carrillo’s head dips, mouthing along your jawline and down your throat, and in that moment you want nothing more than to feel his teeth. To have him suck marks into the fragile skin that you can look at in the morning to make sure this isn’t some fever dream brought on by the heat and frustration because you feel like you’re being melted down between the two of them and reshaped into something new, something hungry and aching and empty.
A hand trails from your chest and down your stomach while teeth scrape along your neck, your shoulder, and you almost hold your breath when you feel the button of your jeans being fiddled with. A whine builds in your throat, a sharp sound undercutting it and sending a jolt through your body when the Colonel smacks Javier’s hand away before he could slip it inside your pants. Your eyes flutter open for the first time since this all started, just in time to see the way Carrillo’s jaw clenches, hostility or just plain competitiveness you can’t be sure belying the heat in his eyes as he glares at the other man.
It shouldn’t turn you on— you know it shouldn’t, having him snapping over you like that, like you’re a new favorite toy he’s loathe to hand over but you can’t deny the way you squirmed, either, heat curling in your gut at the thunderous look on his face. And then Javier is huffing and for one insane moment you’re afraid that he’s going to give up without a fight, that he’s going to stop.
But then he’s turning your head towards him, wrenching you away from Carrillo so your chest is pressed against his own and he can have his fill of your lips. His kiss is different from Carrillo’s— the bristles of his mustache tickle and it’s less like an onslaught but no less heated, his groan sinking right down into your bones.
Carrillo’s fingers make quick work of your jeans and you almost leap out of your skin at the first touch, thick fingers slipping underneath the band of your underwear and dragging through your soaked folds.
You moan into Javier’s mouth, the sound ripped from the back of your throat and you hear one of them chuckle— self satisfied and almost mocking and you want to snap at them and call them names, want to regain the edge you maintain so carefully in this line of work but you can’t. You can’t because Javier’s teeth are scraping along your jawline now and his hand is working its way underneath your bra to start thumbing over your nipple, the edge of his nail against the sensitive skin making a chill skate through your body and Carrillo— he’s— he’s rolling the rough pads of his fingers over your clit, using enough pressure to make your thighs jerk and the insults wither on your tongue.
Then it’s your hands that are moving, unclenching from their shoulders to follow the lines of their torsos down, down, down and the scrape of chairs across the floor is loud and disjointed as they’re yanked closer. Half of you wants to take your time, to explore the both of them at your leisure and finally have your fill of each, to run your hands along their bodies and kiss each of their scars but the other half of you is louder. The other half of you is greedy. Impatient.
You smooth your palms along the front of their pants, reveling in the feel of their cocks twitching through the fabric and how Javier’s breath hisses through his teeth, how Carrillo drops his head to your shoulder and squeezes the inside of your knee, his fingers stuttering against you. It’s heady, knowing that they both want you like this and holding evidence of their arousal in your hands and you can’t help but stroke them, biting down on a grin when a moan works itself from Carrillo’s chest.
Javier recovers first and pulls you until your body is fully facing him, hunching over you with his fingers working at the closure of your bra, mouth trailing down your throat. Carrillo huffs behind you but he doesn’t pull you away, not yet. Instead he shifts closer, close enough for you to sag into the solid mass of his chest because his fingers are moving again, slipping lower and teasing your entrance, circling and only barely dipping the tip of one inside. At the same time Javier’s mouth is engulfing one of your nipples and sucking, teeth glancing off of it and you don’t know whose name to moan, writhing between the two of them and trying to get a grip on Javier’s hair.
Your other hand is still over Carrillo’s cock and you squeeze, a whine bursting from your lips because of course the bastard was waiting for that, waiting for just the right moment to slide one of his thick fingers home while Javier laves across your chest, licking and sucking at your tender flesh. “Fuck,” Your voice is high and reedy and you feel like you can’t breathe. It’s the first word you’ve spoken during this entire thing, whatever it is, whatever it’s going to turn into, and you think you feel Carrillo’s lips pull into something sharp that might be a grin against your cheek when he starts to move.
The angle means the heel of his hand is bumping into your clit and his pace is a cruel thing; dark and twisting and somehow it’s too much and not enough all at once and your head is spinning from it. You hear him in your ear, speaking low and soft and his praises are clogging your throat. Encouragements, teasing when he asks you if you want more, can take more because he knows you can, that you want it because you’re good for him, aren’t you? For them?
And Javier is murmuring his agreements against the pillow of your breast, dragging his teeth along your nipple and you think if it’s possible for a human being to go up in flames you would right at this moment, trapped between the two of them with no buffer, with nowhere to go.
“Need more already?” Javier’s voice is thick like honey, almost gloating as he picks his head up from your chest, taking in how it rises and falls in time with your rapid breaths, shining from his mouth underneath the fluorescent lights. His eyes drop lower and he can’t see you, not with Carrillo’s hand in the way and the thick denim of your jeans still biting into your thighs, but he can hear you, slick and obscene with little whimpers falling from your lips like you’re trying to stay quiet because you are. It’s not working, but you’re trying.
“Javi—” Your voice tilts up at the end, high and whining and you don’t know how much more of this you can take. You feel like you’re melting down, burning up from the inside out and you can’t remember if you’ve ever felt like this before. If you’ve ever felt this on edge, coiled up tight and vibrating with this much tension, if it’s because you’ve been wanting each of them for months now, if it’s because they’re both here with you. Both watching you, both stringing you out further and further and pulling you in different directions. Each trying to get their fill of you before the other.
And maybe you’re asking for Javier because Carrillo is cruel, working you with his fingers but never giving you quite enough, working you up and up and up. Like he wants to see how far can push you, if he can make the need swallow you whole. You know he can, that for all your wanting to take him apart piece by piece he can do the same to you, is doing the same to you just as you know Javier will show you more mercy.
Javier reaches for you, curls his hands in your jeans and pulls them down over your knees and maybe he meant to pull them off, to get you naked in the middle of the office but his eyes catch on the way Carrillo’s finger is sinking into you over and over again. The way he gives you another and how you still when he does, your breath stuttering.
You almost don’t feel the way Carrillo hooks his chin over your shoulder to watch for himself because you can’t think over how his fingers feel, thick and heavy and buried up to the knuckle and you whine. You whine because he’s just holding them there, seemingly content to just feel the way your cunt is squeezing around them, the way your thighs are shaking and listening to you crying in his ear.
You hand fists in the material of his pants, your other digging your nails into Javier’s shoulder and you use them for leverage, rolling your hips on Carrillo’s fingers. Someone groans, ragged and strung out and for terrifying seconds you think that they’re going to leave you like this. Leave you to fuck yourself on his fingers without any help.
But Javier doesn’t last that long.
Javier doesn’t last that long before he’s reaching for you all over again, pulling you away from Carrillo and you almost protest, almost call him a bastard for cutting off what little stimulation you’re managing to eek out for yourself but then he’s pressing you up against the desk and you forgive him.
You try to brace yourself on the desk, hands slipping on file folders and you look back, over your shoulder because you can hear his belt jangling, loud against the background of hurried breathing and arousal-softened voices. You don’t see it but Carrillo leans back in his chair, sucking your slick off his fingers and thinking about eating you alive even while he watches Javier line himself up with your weeping cunt, the way his head leans back as he pushes in, the way you go still. The way your chin drops to your chest and how you rock your weight onto your hands, spine curving when his hips meet yours.
Javier isn’t moving, not yet, and Carrillo almost feels sorry for you because another of those whines is falling out of your mouth, soft and needy and you lick your lips before you speak, begging him to move and so he does. They both do.
Javier’s hands curl around your hips and he starts to thrust as Carrillo stands, rounding the desk and his lips might pull into something crueler than a smile but pleased nonetheless when you reach for him, a moan on your lips. He lets you fumble with his belt and untuck his shirt with shaking hands and his chest swells with a twisted pride, that you can be filled with another man’s cock and still reach for him.
It goes to his head a little bit while he watches you, glassy eyes fluttering and your hands slipping. Your head drops to his shoulder with a high pitched moan, your hips rolling back, and that’s when he grabs your face, his fingers pressing into your jaw, lifting your head and forcing you to look at him.
It’s too much, you realize, trying to remember how to breathe while you stare into Carrillo’s face. His nostrils are flared and his eyes are swallowed up by his pupils, and he’s not looking away. Your breath is puffing into his face and you’re trying to keep your eyes open, you are— but Javier’s cock keeps dragging through your walls, catching on something bright and sharp and it’s almost enough.
You don’t realize that you keep closing your eyes until Carrillo is almost throttling you, tightening his fingers on either side of your jaw, the meat of his palm pressing against your windpipe and tomorrow you’ll feel embarrassed at the pathetic sound that leaves your throat. How you sway towards him, his "look at me” ringing in your ears, soft and biting all at once.
Javier hunches over you then and you feel his teeth in your shoulder, feel the rasp of his mustache on your skin. Carrillo’s shoulders move but you don’t look, don’t let yourself get distracted from the way he’s looking at you like— like—
You don’t know because Javier’s hand is moving, slapping Carrillo’s away before he can touch you and you see the muscle in his jaw tick before you crumple, would have spilled across the desk if his grip wasn’t holding you up because Javier is slipping his hand between your shaking thighs.
Your hands fist in the material of Carrillo’s shirt, your quest to get his belt undone long since falling by the wayside and being replaced by focusing on the way your nerve endings are lighting up under Javier’s fingers, buzzing and firing and the knot in your belly bursts, thick and sweet like syrup. You sob into Carrillo’s shoulder, bearing down on Javier’s cock and he groans behind you, ragged and grating.
But he doesn’t let you enjoy it, not really. Because the next moment he’s pulling away from you and you feel so empty you could almost cry, shaking yourself apart against Carrillo’s chest, dense and warm and the part of your brain that’s still functioning wishes you could feel his skin on your own. You don’t get the chance to dwell on it, on Carrillo’s hands and his arms, the feel of his torso through his shirt because the next thing you know liquid is splashing across your lower back, hot and dripping and you shudder right down to your bones.
“Fuck,” Javier sounds as wrecked as you feel and you can hear him pant, the air whistling over his teeth but the ache between your thighs isn’t fading away. If anything it’s getting worse as you try to pull yourself back together, trembling against Carrillo’s body because you don’t necessarily trust yourself to stand on your own quite yet and apparently neither does Javier, rolling his forehead on the space between your shoulder blades.
After a few moments he straightens and you feel his eyes on you as clearly as you do his hand, stroking down your side and squeezing your hip. He starts digging through the desk then, opening and shutting drawers until he finds what he’s looking for, wiping his cum from your skin with what you assume to be an extra shirt Carrillo keeps in his desk, always prepared.
Your fingers unclench from the shirt he’s wearing, sliding over his stomach to pull on his belt because you aren’t satisfied, won’t be until you know what it feels like to make him fall apart right along with you. You mouth at his neck, slipping your palm into the front of his khakis after you conquer the buckle and zipper.
“You’re breaking my heart, baby,” Javier sits back in one of the abandoned chairs, his voice hoarse and colored with exertion, and if you didn’t know any better you might think he’s serious, that his feelings are well and truly bruising with your efforts to get in Carrillo’s pants, still greedy for more after he had his turn with you.
“Fuck off, Javier,” You say it without any real venom against Carrillo’s skin and the other man might have barked out a chuckle, bared in his teeth in something that might have been a grin, but the only thing you can focus on is the way Carrillo groans when you close your fingers around his cock and stroke. You want to hear it again and again, want to have it vibrate through you while he’s pressed impossibly close.
He’s a sight as he pulls himself away from you, his uniform shirt stretched across his broad shoulders, unbuttoned now and his undershirt wrinkled from your fingers, his jaw set and you have to turn, all loose limbed and soft as you seat yourself on the desk, able to finally peel your jeans the rest of the way off and spreading your thighs in blatant invitation. He takes it, slotting his hips between your knees and wrenching you to him and you’re able to wind your arms around his wide shoulders like you’ve been craving to.
You rub yourself against him, your breath catching in your throat from how your sensitized cunt slips across the coarse fabric and it almost hurts, sharp and corrosive in the way it floods through you, dissolving in its wake. But you can’t stop, chasing after the pleasure with a whining moan because he’s just watching you, eyeing the slowly growing wet spot on the front of his underwear because of it and you squeeze your thighs around him, trying to spur him on.
"Horacio,” The name slips out unbidden, tinged with something you can’t describe and it’s the magic word. He huffs as if he’s coming back to himself, as if he’s realized that he can move, that you really do want this despite the circumstances. Despite Javier watching with rapt attention and a fresh cigarette.
He doesn’t make you let go of him, doesn’t make you pull him out because you’re clinging to him so sweet and nice and purring for him that he can’t imagine it and you’re grateful. Actually grateful that you can keep yourself wound around him, touching and tasting like you’ve thought about for months now, raking your fingers through his short hair and arching against him until you’re balancing on the very edge of the desk, his arms the only things keeping you from slipping right off.
And then you’re being split open.
You warble something that might have been his name, choking on it and you scramble at his shoulders for a better grip. He groans deep in his chest, rough and filthy as his head drops to your neck and it’s overwhelming. You want to blame it on the fact you’ve already cum, that you’re still overly sensitive from Javier because he’s making you feel better than he has any right to as harsh as he is, as stone faced. As mean.
But then his hand is slipping between your thrusting bodies and he’s anything but, unerringly finding your clit and it’s almost embarrassing. It’s almost embarrassing how hard your body jerks, grinding into his calloused fingers while he breaks you apart, your cunt pulsing around him as he keeps up the onslaught, hips snapping into yours.
You cling to him, fingers digging into his shoulders, his back, as the pleasure sweeps through you, glimmering and razor sharp and you say his name again, only this time mewling and shattered. And it’s the combination of everything that does him in; your cunt fluttering around his cock, your voice in his ear saying his name like that, you trying to pull him infinitely closer. He grunts as he spills himself within you, the sound strangled and you can’t help but gather his face in your hands to pull it to your own, slanting your lips against his and drinking it down.
Your thighs are quivering as you pant into each other’s mouths, Carrillo almost languidly stirring his cock in you as you both come down. You didn’t expect it— didn’t expect any of this to actually come to fruition, to exist somewhere outside of your mind and the four walls of your bedroom but here you are. The smoke from Javier’s cigarette hangs in the air and Carrillo— Horacio, now, is nosing underneath your jaw, staying right where he is and kissing the salt from your skin. If an ache wasn’t blooming between your legs, in your thighs and your hips you don’t know if you’d believe it happened at all, letting the memories turn hazy in the sunlight that’s only a few short hours away.
But it is and when you blink your eyes open you see Javier looking at you with an unreadable expression, flicking his eyes to Horacio and back again and a different heat starts to suffuse your body, this one prickling and bordering on uncomfortable. That’s when you unlock your ankles from behind Horacio’s back, your heart slipping into a nervous rhythm and you don’t want to press your palms into his shoulders and apply pressure, telling him to move without so many words but you do because you can’t take it.
Can’t take the way Javier is looking at you, can’t take how much you want Horacio to stay, to wonder and find out if he stays as gentle as this when the fog clears from his head.
You can’t take the way he’s looking at you either as he shifts, following the directive of your hands and you swallow the gasp that tries to burst from your mouth when his cock slips from you. You weren’t expecting this either, how bereft you feel without him filling you up, without him in your arms if you’re being honest with yourself. You can’t even blame it on the alcohol, not really. None of you had drank that much, the bottle still not empty after being passed between the three of you and now on its side, knocked over at some point from your combined haste but miraculously unbroken as it lays there on the corner of the desk, liquid pooling on the linoleum below.
Javier is the one who sees it first and throws Horacio’s crumpled, used shirt on the caustic puddle while you’re pulling your jeans up, dressing as if your clothes could become your shield from the emotions that are trying to flay you alive.
“Are you okay?” It’s Horacio who asks how you are while you button your blouse, his voice gruff and threaded with something that’s going to haunt you.
“I’m good, I promise,” You try for a light smile, like you’re not turned inside out, like you won’t keep thinking about this for the rest of the night and maybe into the day when you have to pretend like everything is fine, that nothing has changed.
Javier throws the shirt onto the desk then and it hits with a wet plop that makes you cringe. You see Horacio’s mouth thin, any traces of the softness from just moments ago bleeding away and you want it back.
But it will have to wait for another time, maybe a better time or none at all because Javier is crushing the end of his cigarette into an ashtray and picking his leather jacket off the back of a chair, looking at you expectantly because he knows you can’t refuse him, not without revealing anything. “Ready to go?” And maybe Horacio has some inkling about the arrangement, gleaned from comments that have piled up over the weeks and months but maybe he doesn’t. Maybe he thinks you’re going home with the agent, not bumming a ride to the same apartment building because you were naïve and are now complacent.
You nod, looking again at Horacio and running your eyes over him, as if you don’t want to forget how he looks in this moment despite everything. His uniform a mess, cock tucked back into his pants but his belt staying unbuckled for the moment and for one second, one harebrained second, you think about kissing him. Just kissing him, just a peck— just enough for him to maybe know.
But you don’t.
“Goodnight, Horacio,” Your lips wrap around the syllables, turning his name into something gentle as you drift towards the door after Javier.
The Colonel nods and you think you might see his lips part but the shadows make it impossible to tell and you don’t know what’s in his eyes either, just know that they feel heavy on your skin. Javier calls your name and you finally look away before you do something even more stupid than anything else you’d done tonight.
The door closes behind you and he knows you can’t hear him but he says it anyways, alone and looking at the door like you’re going to walk back in.
“Goodnight.”

THIS IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT FOR ANY/ALL NEW FIC WRITERS, OR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO POST FICS IN THE FUTURE
I think all of you who see this and/or follow me for my fics will be able to see what I'm talking about and why I need to make this post. Just check the #avengers x reader tag. I'm not going to tag the user who inspired me to make this post, do not tell them to delete their work, but I do want to say this so it won't happen in the future. I have no anger at the person, but I feel like I need to make this post. I have NO hate for them.
This ended up being a bit long, so I'll put this under a cut.
So. Let's say you have a series all fully written, ready for posting with a chapter per post. You already should know what I'm about to say here. DON'T POST IT ALL AT ONCE. This does not mean wait a couple minutes. This means wait at least like two days or however long, but don't post more than two chapters a day.
You will clog up the tag. Don't know what that means? It's when you, or someone posts a TON to one tag in one time period.
If you have more than three or so series' going on at the same time, DON'T POST THEM ON THE SAME DAYS. Overlapping is fine, if you want to update twice a week, then you have to, but don't intentionally update all at the same time. It'll clog up the tag just as well.
AND DO NOT, EVER POST MULTIPLE FINISHED FICS ALL AT ONCE TO THE SAME TAG
If you don't want to manually post every couple days, or won't remember, that's fine, USE QUEUE OR SCHEDULE THE POSTS. Don't know how? Use the blog settings to change the time you post queued posts to an appropriate space of time, and then you can put your chapters in their individual posts and then tap the little down arrow next to "Post Now" Hit "Add to Queue" Bam! You won't clog up the tag.
You reblog often and have those in queue and don't want to change your queue time? Schedule the post. Next to "Post Now", tap the little down arrow, and tap "Schedule" You can (And probably should) post the first chapter and series masterlist at the same time, it'll make navigation easier and two posts don't clog a tag. Schedule maybe two days ahead or so, and MAKE SURE YOU SCHEDULE AHEAD FROM YOUR PREVIOUS POST/SCHEDULED POST. If you don't, there's really no good in even scheduling your posts. So make sure you schedule your posts correctly as to not clog up the tag.
One more thing- You see the "Read more" I put at the top of this post? If your fic is long, then put a "Read More" after your title, authors note, warnings, etc. I know that Tumblr shortens long posts, but using the "Read More" feature will allow readers to see your title, authors note, warnings, and all those other things, so they can get a good idea of what your fic is without having to scroll past the entire thing. Tumblr's automatic shortening may cut off your warnings or summary, if they are long, so make sure to use the "Read More" feature instead.
Thank you for your time, and if you, (you know who you are) are reading this, I'm not trying to hate on you, but holy sh/t, the avengers x reader tag is clogged af, and I want to make sure that people don't do something like this again.

Tumblr media
DISAGREEMENTS.
who is more likely to raise their voice?
i mean both, probably? they’re both very passionate people
who threatens to leave but never actually does?
i’ll hesitantly say june but i dont think they’d reach that point
who actually keeps their word and leaves?
neither lmao
who trashes the house?
in day-to-day life, june; she’s very messy. in fights? neither bcos that’s messed up. the Most that’ll happen is adam cracking a piece of furniture in his fist by accident
do either of them get physical?
uhhh they’ll spar from time to time, but outside of that, never
how often do they argue/disagree?
in the beginning?? all the fucking time. every day. they butt heads like they were made to do it. further in, they argue much less, especially once june’s proved adam’s whole “humans are weak!!!” thing wrong
who is the first to apologize?
adam gets bullied into it by nate sometimes. june won’t apologise unless she’s absolutely certain she’s in the wrong, but it does happen. so i guess it depends on the argument
SEX.
who is on top? who is on bottom?
i hate applying the top/bottom thing to m/f ships but adam’s A Top i guess. june is 100% a bottom. but when it comes to actual positioning they’ll change; adam likes missionary a lot, but june likes sitting in his lap and riding him, so
any kinks?
adam is lowkey lowkey very lowkey into orgasm control/denial im calling it. he just likes taking control, but not in an explicit bdsm sense??? june’s into dirty talk and does have a praise kink. she has to coax adam into talking in the beginning but when he gets into the swing of things he loves it
june used to be into getting tied up, but the whole murphy situation kinda fucked that for her
who has the strangest desires?
june probably wins this just purely based on the fact that she wants adam to bite her lmao. he would find that strange. but he would also be into it so
who’s dominant in bed?
adam !!! again not in the traditional like bdsm dominant sense but he takes charge of things
is head ever in the equation?
uhhh, yeah ??? all the time
if so, who is better at performing it?
look. june is very good. she is. but adam has 900 years on her and also more enthusiasm / touch starvation / desperation. adam is a pussy eating KING
ever had sex in public?
the most public they’ve gotten is fucking in the tech lab at the warehouse, that’s it
who moans the most?
both moan, but june’s louder. she’s freer ??? with it ??? but adam grunts and gasps and pants a lot, and when he’s abt to come he’ll groan out her name or a french curse so
who leaves the most marks?
june’s the one that goes out of her way to make marks, just bcos shes a lil sad they fade so quickly. adam leaves the most just bcos june doesn’t heal in the same way
who is the more experienced of the two?
adam might be 900 years old but we all know he’s not had many relationships. june’s more experienced bcos she has one-night stands in college before her and bobby got together
do they ‘fuck’ or ‘make love’?
im so sorry but if u look at adam du mortain and think that he doesn’t make love 99% of the time, ur wrong. but sometimes they do get super passionate / desperate for each other, and then they’ll fuck
how long do they usually last?
in the beginning adam lasts like 2 seconds, no joke. that man sees even a hint of june’s coochie and he busts a nut. but further in he can last longer. unless june is being a shit and deliberately trying to get him to come, which she does do
rough or soft?
soft for the most part. if it ever is rough it’s like..... more bcos it’s intense, passionate, less bcos either of them is trying to make it rough. june has some sexual trauma too so really rough sex, like w choking for example, is out of the question (not that i think adam is into choking anyway)
is protection used?
it should be, and when they remember to they do use it. but also they forget a lot shdkshdkd does june look like the type of person to get pregnant on purpose??
does it ever get boring?
nah they keep it fresh. plus they love each other so much it’s just always so good to have each other ???? like after So Long Pining it’s just good idk bro shdjsjdk
where is the strangest place they’d have sex?
idk probably the tech lab like i said above ??? i dont think they fuck in many weird places — not bcos i dont think june would be into it, but more bcos i figure if they ever start getting freaky adam gets them into a bed / somewhere private STAT
FAMILY.
do they plan on having children / do they have children?
yeah they vaguely want them in the future i guess. adam thinks abt june having his baby and has to lie down he 🥺 so hard
if so, how many children do they want/have?
their first kid — emma — is an accident born like a year after they get married, and then oliver comes along a year after that because june always said she didn’t want only one kid. she remembered how lonely she was as a kid :(((
AFFECTION.
who likes to cuddle?
both of them !!! adam is touch-starved and june is starved for affection !!! they cuddle all the time
who gets naughty in the most inappropriate of places?
june 100% no question. WHORE. adam is so done with her but he does always drag her off somewhere to Ravish her so rly who’s winning here
who struggles to keep their hands to themself?
shdkshdkskd both of them. june slightly more so tho
how long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable?
uhhh i dont think it’s rly a matter of one getting uncomfortable, bcos they do love it. probably it’s just as long as they can hold out before 1) june has to pee, or 2) adam resolves to be productive
what is their favourite non-sexual activity?
adam would never admit it but he loves watching movies with june purely bcos she gets so cuddly and ALSO she gets so into them. she’s the type of person to yell at the screen and ask questions all the time. sometimes they’ll compete to see who can work out the plot / twist / mystery of a film first
where is their favourite place to cuddle?
in bed !!!!! adam loves having her whole body pressed up against him, all small and soft and smelling like june, and june loves how he tucks her into his chest and makes her feel so safe and warm
SLEEPING.
who snores?
ahskhkdja june !!!
if both do, who snores the loudest?
adam doesn’t snore so june. but she doesn’t do it that loudly
do they share a bed or sleep separately?
they share a bed !!!! it’s adam’s way of making sure june does actually go to bed, for one, but also he doesn’t like to sleep without her
if they sleep together, do they cozy up together or lay far apart?
cozy up together !!!!! adam’ll kiss her hair and tuck her head under his chin, and june’ll wrap her arms around his torso and kiss the hollow of his throat
what do they wear to bed?
june wears raggedy old band tees or oversized hoodies, boxer shorts, lots of comfy clothes. flannel pyjama trousers. sometimes she’ll sleep in adam’s shirts bcos they smell like him and she likes that, but when she does sleep in adam’s shirts they uhhh haha dont sleep for a while ;)))
are either of them insomniacs?
june is !!! i think around book 4, maybe 5, someone’s gonna talk her into seeing someone abt it — because she really doesn’t sleep a healthy amount, i’m talking 5-8 hours a week — and she’ll start taking sleeping pills, but for now she just drinks a fuckload of coffee and keeps herself busy.
adam’s not rly an insomniac per se, but he doesn’t sleep as much as humans do, obviously
can sleeping pills be found by the bedside?
later in the series, yeah. i could see her being put on quetiapine bcos that’s what im on and that shit works
do they wrap their limbs around each other or just lay side by side?
wrap their limbs around each other !!!! june’s like a cuddly octopus shdksjdl but adam loves it, honestly. he’ll often wrap his arms around her and put on of his hands up her shirt, over her spine, so he can have some nice skin-on-skin contact. yknow....... as a treat
who wakes up with bed hair?
both !!!! june’s is probably a bit worse bcos it’s longer ????
who wakes up first?
eh, depends. i’d say adam, bcos he’s More Responsible, but june really doesn’t sleep much, so it could go either way
who prepares breakfast in bed for the other?
neither ??? june doesn’t cook and adam’s not a good cook
what is their favourite sleeping position?
either adam on his back with june tucked into his chest, his arms around her, or both of them on their sides and adam spooning june. they love em !!!!
do they set an alarm each night?
they do. june has broken multiple alarm clocks, tho, so make of that what u will
who has nightmares?
both :((( june’s are more frequent, i think
can a television be found in their bedroom?
nah. adam wouldn’t want one, and june watches everything on her laptop
who has ridiculous dreams?
probably june. she’ll sleepily recount them to adam the next morning in bed and he’ll either hm? into her neck to show he’s listening or huff a laugh against her skin
who sprawls out and takes up most of the bed?
june. adam has learned to accept this fact about her. usually he’ll just position her so that they’re both comfier when she does it, but he has been woken by her elbowing his side before
who makes the bed?
adam. june cba with that shit. she’s just gonna get back in it anyways !!!!
what time is bed time?
adam pushes june to go to bed by 11. sorry u gotta take care of ur stupid energiser bunny girlfriend, buddy
any routines/rituals before bed?
eh nothing in particular i dont think ??? nothing out of the standard brush teeth / clean face / get into pjs thing anyway
who’s the grumpiest when they wake up?
june is the GRUMPIEST. she’s not a morning person in the slightest
WORK.
who is the busiest?
hmmmmm. they’re both probably equally busy ??? i mean adam’s the head of the unit so he probs has work he has to do, but then june’s basically the head of the department bcos the captain’s never around, so she has a lot of work. and she has to balance that work with the agency. maybe june’s slightly busier ???
who rakes in the highest income?
eh they’re probs around the same ???
are any of them unemployed?
nope
who takes the most sick days?
june bcos adam doesn’t get sick. also sometimes she just wants A Personal Day and / or is hungover
what are their jobs?
he’s a commanding agent, she’s a liaison and also police detective
who sucks up to their boss?
haha adam’s technically june’s boss and she loves to suck badum tss
who is more likely to turn up late to work?
june shdjshdk girl is Bad at time management. sometimes tho they’ll both be late bcos a morning fuck went on too long. june is very smug on these days
who stresses the most?
uhhh both stress a lot ?? june has anxiety. but adam also is constantly on edge so ????
do they enjoy or despise their careers/occupations?
yeah they enjoy them i guess. adam definitely enjoys his. june is..... complicated. she doesn’t trust the agency and she doesn’t rly wanna be a cop, but she doesn’t know what else she could do so ???
are they financially stable?
yeah for the most part. the agency has good salaries
HOME.
who does the washing?
i think maybe june does it more often just bcos as a human she....... probably ???? goes through more clothes ??? that makes sense to me ??? idk hsdk
who takes out the trash?
adam, usually. especially if it’s dark; june ain’t going nowhere at night
who does the ironing?
again, adam. just bcos he’s more likely to have clothes that need ironing. june has never touched an iron in her life
who does the cooking?
i mean june is notorious for not cooking but rather ordering takeout, so...... i mean i dont think adam is a bad cook but he can rly only cook rly bland, simple meals, and he obviously doesnt need to eat so. i guess if it’s one of them it’s june
who is more likely to burn the house down just trying?
yeah june sdhskdhksdk she just has a very short attention span bro idk what to tell u
who is messier?
yep june no question. adam’s a lil bit of a neat freak im calling it
who leaves the toilet roll empty?
neither
who leaves their dirty clothes on the floor?
yeah june. sometimes adam if he’s had a long day tho. or like if theyre getting Freaky and leaving clothes everywhere. but in general, june’s more likely
who forgets to flush the toilet?
ew gross people do that ?? neither
who loses the car keys when it comes time to go somewhere?
june shdjjsjdk
who answers the telephone?
uhh both ig ?? but they don’t have like a landline or anything they only have their cells
who mows the lawn?
adam, but only once they’ve moved out of june’s apartment after having the kids. june’s got a black thumb bro she’s not allowed near the garden on nate’s orders
who does the vacuuming?
both !!! they take turns
who does the groceries?
june 100% and she always ends up getting shit that wasn’t on the list shdjskdk. sometimes they’ll do it together tho
who takes the longest to shower?
uhhhh i mean. i think they shower together quite a lot so ???? both ???
who spends the most time in the bathroom?

june’s renting her apartment currently, but when ollie and emma are born, they buy a place at the edge of town
do they enjoy their surroundings?

what do they do when they’re away from each other?
Yearn like fools. they miss each other shdjshdk they’ll call each other if adam is ever sent out on an assignment away from town or june has to take some kinda business trip. theyre always super happy to be reunited

ok i mean adam has already in canon gotten shirtless and flashed his assets at june while convinced he feels nothing for her so. him. he’s a show-off we all know this
any mental issues?
yeah lmao. june already had ptsd before canon from being assaulted in college, and now it’s just worse bcos of everything with murphy and shit. she also has depression, because obviously, and anxiety. also adhd if that counts ??? it probably counts
i think adam’s got some ptsd too from that Terrible Fiery Scene Of Death we saw in the mirror from his past, and probably that’s compounded by experiences since he became a vampire too ??? possibly some depression as well just bcos i’m now considering his whole ‘numb for years’ thing and how that overlaps with depression ?? :/// idk
who finds it amusing when the other trips over?
adam doesn’t trip often but when he does june howls with laughter. usually if he’s tripping it’s bcos she’s done something Very Distracting. one time she took her shirt off in their living room when he wasnt expecting it and he walked into a wall
when june trips (which she often does) adam will sorta snort very quietly or his lips will twitch but he’ll always stabilise her quickly

shsjdhskdjk ADAM. “june, it’s just an insect.” “um, untrue, it’s an arachnid, those are different fucking things—” “it’s miniscule. even more so than you are.” “okay, ha, ha, very funny, please kill it, adam i’m serious, kill it, it has eight legs, it’s waiting to murder me, fucking kill it!” “i’m killing it, calm down.”
do they have any fears for their future?
yeah. june’s worried she’s gonna get totally murdered lmao bcos odds are someone’s gonna try again. adam is also terrified abt this distinct possibility. he’s also scared that, like... she’ll live ??? as in ??? she won’t ever turn, she’ll stay mortal her whole life, and after waiting 900 years for her, he’ll only get a few decades with her before she dies.
that’s like not gonna happen she absolutely becomes a vampire after emma and ollie are born but still. he’s dramatic
their favourite place?
the warehouse, probably ??? it’s safe and secure and it’s comfortable ??? or else june’s apartment. i think june prefers her apartment just slightly
who’s more likely to surprise the other with a fancy dinner?
adam ??? but it’s more likely that they’d go out to a fancy dinner, rather than him cook one
who pays the bills?
they split them
who’s the tallest?
sndjhskdjkd adam. june hates and loves this fact in equal measure. adam is very smug abt how teeny tiny his girlfriend is shdkshdk he finds it very funny. also very sweet he loves it
who’s more likely to just randomly hop into the shower with the other?
both, honestly. theyre bad at keeping their hands off each other once they’re together. maybe june is ever so slightly more likely ?? idk
who wanders around in their underwear?
both. adam likes to distract june w his abs bro what can i say. june just is most comfortable walking around in a sports bra and briefs
who sings the loudest when singing along to the radio?
june !!! and she’ll lean into his face and sing right at him with this big dumb grin too. adam will refuse to make eye contact but he’ll have this tiny lil smile on his face
what do they tease each other about?
everything. june roasts adam on the daily. adam will very dryly retort back every time. they were made for each other im telling u.
june will sometimes bring up his whole humans are weak thing at the most ridiculous times. like, adam tries to get her to get out of bed in the morning and she’ll groan and start lamenting how weak and fragile she is, she couldn’t possibly get out of bed in this state, adam, i have glass bones and paper skin, don’t u love me ????
adam’s teasing is just dryly taking the piss out of dumb shit she says. she’ll talk abt a fight she had with someone and say she went “wa-pow!” when she hit them and he’ll just deadpan repeat, “wa-pow.” his face totally straight. i wuv themm
who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times?
i mean neither they both have bad fashion taste. but also june hates the fucking cargo pants bruh
who crushed first?
adam did shdkshdk even if he didn’t realise. june didn’t figure out she liked him until the time between book 1 and book 2, because she missed him and she couldn’t figure out why
any alcohol or substance related problems?
uhhh no not rly. june has a history of using recreational drugs but that was in college and she doesn’t touch most of that shit these days
who is more likely to stumble home, drunk, at 3am?
june probably shdjshdk she’ll have a girl’s night with farah, morgan, and tina, and just come home absolutely fucking twatted. adam always tucks her in
who swears the most?
yeah june. she swears in every other word. the first time she made adam curse is burned into her brain seriously she takes such pride in it

How writing recursive fic (fanfic of fanfic) has made me a better author and member of fandom
After doing the math, approximately 45% of my AO3 works are recursive fanfiction. (I am actually excluding a large translation I did which was a translation of a recursive work itself!) The majority of that is from one single series, with the rest being significantly below that.
There are a few fanfics for which I've written fic.
1. "ReSWAN: The remix of Song Without A Name" by LadyYatexel
2. "Deep Dish Nine" by LadyYatexel (which turned into a community-wide AU where I took inspiration from other authors as well, such as tinsnip)
3. "Doing the Unstuck" by TempeTot
4.  "Designation: Miracle" by umisabaku (the large majority of my recursive fic is for this series, most within a collection work, as well as a few stand-alone works.)
I've noticed a few patterns in fic that I am writing fic for. They are always:
1. An AU where the characters, changed by their AU circumstances, have aspects of them that are unique to the AU application and reflected strongly in their personalities and actions
2. There is more depth / possibilities of emotional interplay in the AU presented than the canon
3. Queer in both pairings and mood (relying heavily on found family, introspctions about sexuality, subversive responses to mainstream sexuality) . There sometimes are M/F pairings in the fic I base my fics on, but at least one pairing within the fic is always queer.
Permission
Something that feels different from writing regular fic as opposed to recursive fic is permission from the author. When writing regular fic, I feel that I do not owe the creator any sort of heads up or permission to write. There are entire laws protecting me on this.
Therefore, theoretically, there should be nothing stopping me from just writing recursive fic, posting it, and saying ,"This other fic was inspired by this other fic". However, having been in fandom since 2004, I don't feel it would be good fandom etiquette to do that without at least inquiring first.
I've never been told I cannot write the fic - however, if the author preferred that I not post a fic of their fic, I'd adhere to that. Would I write it in private? If I felt moved enough, yes, but not post. There's nothing stopping me except that I, as a longtime member of fandom, want to do my part to make fandom a kind place that acknowledges reasonable requests.
Perhaps it is hypocritical of me to write and post fanfic without the permission of the original media creator, whether it be a single author or a giant franchise, but when it's a fellow fanfic creator, that's where I draw the line? Maybe it's because I can usually easily message the fanfic creator and ask. Whereas, if the creator of the anime I am writing about personally messaged me to ask me to stop writing their characters kissing (or, more likely, having extended conversations over food), maybe I would pull my fics. Or, in the long-standing tradition of fandom/media relationships formed on defiance, I would wave my hand at the OTW Legal Team and say, "Go talk to them." It hasn’t happened so I honestly am not sure how I would respond.
In every instance the fanfic author has happily given me the go-ahead. Some have linked my work in the "works inspired by" section at the bottom of their fic, and others haven't, and I'm fine either way. I'm discomfited by the idea of the recursive fic author requesting the author link their story in the original fic - it feels like asking for free advertising, which then gets into the capitalism aspects of fandom that in general make me uncomfortable (in this case not cash capital but social capital/views.)
Posting etiquette
Another piece of recursive fic etiquette that I've done is, after I figured this particular etiquette out, was that I kept all of the stories for my recursive fic in one AO3 work and added chapters. (My earlier recursive fics are their own works as I hadn't gotten the hang of how I wanted my recursive fics displayed.) Even if the stories are long and disparate, they are 95% of the time one-shots, so that would be A. many stories filling up the AO3 feed for that fandom and B. filling up my AO3 works list with many one-shots for this specific AU.
For the fanfics that are longer or are really deserving of their own works, I try to really limit it and then post all of the chapters at once so it does not appear multiple times over days. These however are rare. The majority are held within one work that I call a collection. For example, "A Handmade Scrapbook" (which hosts the majority of my "Designation: Miracle" recursive fics), at this time of writing, has 23 chapters, all of which are completely unrelated one-shots and AUs. I sometimes would save up a handful of shorter stories I had written and post those chapters all at once so as not to clog the Kuroko No Basuke tag (which is canon for the D:M AU.) Sense I cannot assume average KnB fanfic reader has context of D:M (even if they read the first story, the majority of my works are based on the most recent addition to the series), they cannot read that fic, and thus I feel a bit guilty if I were to clog the tag with my recursive fic. I also do not tag the canon tag on tumblr if it is a recursive fic, especially one that requires a ton of source fic knowledge in order to begin to understand.
Again - is this necessary? In theory, it’s not. I could post a 100-word recursive fic every day forever on the AO3 tag and be completely in my rights to do so (I mean, I’m sure there’s some rule about spamming but that aside). However, something in me is feeling that it would not be considerate of other readers to do so. (I could probably look at my actions and think, “Hmm, is this influenced by my gender and how women are taught to not take up space, even if it’s okay to?” but we shan’t be getting into that now.)
I know that posting frequently, spreading out those frequent posts, and advertising gets more comments on fics. However, for my recursive fics, I genuinely don’t expect them to get views -and that’s okay! They often require pre-reading of another fic, which narrows down the readership considerably, and if it’s something huge, like my longer D:M fics, that’s a big investment. Therefore, writing recursive fic is genuinely a for-me practice that lets me be very self-indulgent and narrow with my interests. It's an interesting catch-22 - I truly enjoy comments and kudos, and love hearing feedback on my work. But the less I assume that someone will read a fic, the more off the rails I feel I can go with it, and thus why some of my favorite fics I've written are the recursive ones.
That does mean, however, when people read my recursive works, I cherish those comments and interactions a little more than my other fics, as I know that it took a little more to read my works and comprehend and appreciate them.
Characterization
Something specific to writing recursive fic is that it differs from regular fanfic in how precise the characterization is. Generally, when writing fic, you have to align (at least somewhat) to the characterization portrayed in canon. However, your interpretation of it can vary pretty wildly, and while you probably would be called out as writing someone as out of character if it skews significantly from canon, you can get away with your various interpretations.
With recursive fic, you’re deliberately working with a fellow fanfic writer’s interpretation. The entire point of your writing a fic of one of their fics is that their interpretation or worldbuilding grabbed you enough to want to write from it. Of course, there are instances where a characterization of a character is popularized enough to where you can just write it and it’s not necessarily a ‘recursive fic’ as much as ‘using a fic’s interpretation as a template’. In a recursive fic, you’re specifically writing to that characterization.
That’s why I think writing recursive fic has made me a better fanfic writer- writing regular fic, I did not feel particularly beholden to the canon characterization, and could shrug off writing a character a specific way if I felt like it. It is, after all, my right as a fic writer to do so.
However, with recursive fic, the entire purpose of me writing a recursive fic is so that I could make an homage the author’s characterization. It’s the characters that drew me in, after all (although it is occasionally the worldbuilding as well, which is when I bring in my own OCs, but that happens infrequently.) In many instances in the fics I’ve written recursive fics for, the characters had become so distinct that they were basically OCs at that point (or, I was writing about actual OCs from the fic). Therefore, I had a fairly strict characterization to follow if I really wanted to be writing recursive fic and not just “loosely inspired by this fic”.
Which leads back to another point about being a more conscientious member of fandom. The likelihood of anyone from the media I engage with reading my fic is slim to none. However, since I do ask each writer if I can post a recursive fic based on their fic, the likelihood of them reading it goes up significantly more (not necessarily 100%, but definitely higher than 0%!) Therefore, I feel slightly more beholden to ‘getting it right’.
I’ve also asked if I can write NSFW content of the characters for some stories, particularly if they were OCs. Again - something I am not required to do, but it’s part of me being respectful of the author’s choices. It also wouldn’t fit some character’s arcs or personalities if I were to write smut of them, so I do not do that, but for other characters, there were fade-to-black scenes that I wanted to fill in the gaps of. However! Just because that existed in the fic didn’t mean it was alright for me to write it, so I checked.
That said, per my earlier comment, I clearly write regular fic of characters having sex without checking in on the creator’s wishes. In fact, if a media creator came out and said, “X isn’t gay, stop writing them gay” I likely would not care. (See: Star Trek DS9’s butchering of Garak/Bashir. In my head, however, they are happily married and living together on Cardassia.) Therefore, it could be something else to examine within myself, as to why I give more consideration to fellow fans over the wishes of the media creators.
Conclusion
I write recursive fic for the same reason I write regular fic- I am so incredibly compelled to write it that I legitimately cannot stop myself. The same daydreaming+plot bunny herding+fannish actions I do when I engage with a new media I like occur for fics that I read, particularly well fleshed-out AUs with a strong worldbuilding premise that I’d like to expand upon.
However, unlike regular fic, the engagement with the author of the source fic means I am interacting with other writers on a more personal level than just leaving comments, something I really hadn’t done in fandom when I first started writing fanfiction when I was much younger.
Writing recursive fic has made me friends and helped me understand my own writing more. Even though it narrows my reading audience considerably, it brings me back to why I write in the first place - my own joy. Comments, views, kudos, and feedback are wonderful, but in the end, writing something because it makes me happy, no matter how niche or narrow, is why I write.

Benefits of Social Media Marketing
There are over 3 billion people with social media accounts worldwide. With numbers that massive, it is impossible to ignore the role that social media plays in our lives. If you run a business today and your company is not on social media, you need to get on it immediately.
Still not convinced? Read on, and we will show you the biggest benefits of social media marketing.
1. Increase Brand Recognition
If nothing else, the benefits of social media marketing allow you to get your company’s name out there. As your brand becomes more recognizable and more popular, it will be seen as more trustworthy and will stick in people’s minds for longer periods of time.
By using tools like hashtags, you can make sure that your posts will be filtered into like-minded timelines and news feeds. This can help you reach a more specific demographic simply by using the right keywords.
On Twitter, you can check out the trending bar to see what people are talking about. This lets you know what is popular at the moment and you can use these trending tags to reach even more people. By having a presence on multiple networks (you should be on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram at a minimum), even apathetic social media users will start to recognize your brand.
All companies can benefit from increased brand recognition on social media. Whether you are a global, corporate juggernaut like Coca-Cola or this trusted company operating out of Palm Harbor, FL, social media can be a boon for your business.
2. More Chances for Conversion
At its essence, the point of all marketing is conversion. Conversion is when someone who is exposed to your marketing message performs the desired action, usually making a purchase.
And every post that your social media team makes is an opportunity for a customer to convert. Social media makes it very easy for users to react to posts. With just a tap of the finger or click of a key, users can like, comment, or repost your message. With each reaction comes a new opportunity for someone to visit your site which only increases your chances for conversion.
Obviously, not every reaction is going to lead to conversion. But as you rack up positive reactions, you are setting yourself up for a possible conversion windfall later on down the line.
Social media also increases your chances of conversion because it has the opportunity to humanize your company. Unlike other forms of marketing, social media marketing allows businesses to directly interact with customers and also make posts as a regular person would.
Customers more often than not respond positively to this. The most popular and viral corporate tweets and posts tend to not sound very corporate at all.
3. Lower Marketing Costs
According to a recent survey, over 84% of social marketers found that they experienced increased traffic when they put in as little as six hours of effort per week. That’s less than one hour per day. This statistic speaks to the power of a good social media strategy and emphasizes the old adage – work smart, not hard.
By putting in only one hour per day, you can experience some, if not dramatic, increases in your traffic. Start small and see what does and doesn’t work as you hone your social voice.
4. Target Specific Demographics with Facebook Ads
Facebook advertisements are among the most seen content on the internet right now. The beauty of Facebook Ads is that you have the option to filter who will see your ads based on information such as interests, age, relationship status, and more.
Plus, when you use Facebook Pixel, you are able to track all of the users who come to your site via your Facebook Ads. This, in turn, allows you to make custom ad campaigns specifically targeted to those who have already visited your site.
5. More Personal Customer Experience
Nowadays, people love getting notifications on their social media accounts. When someone reacts positively to your social media post, consider giving them a mention. This will make the user feel special and foster a stronger relationship between them and your brand.
Also, if a customer complains about your service or product on social media, take proactive measures. Reach out to that person either publicly or through private messaging and get to the bottom of the issue. By apologizing publicly, people who see the disparaging post are reminded that there is a human behind your social media team and that you care about your service and your customers.
People today don’t just want to buy from brands with quality products. They also want a brand that is going to treat their customers with respect. You want as little enemies as possible on social media. No company enjoys having their timeline clogged up with disparaging remarks from upset customers.

How to Increase Your Instagram Engagement Rate
New Post has been published on https://tiptopreview.com/how-to-increase-your-instagram-engagement-rate/
How to Increase Your Instagram Engagement Rate
Tumblr media
Instagram turns 10 in 2020. It was launched in October of 2010, where its app store debut prompted 25,000 downloads in just one day. Two years later, Facebook purchased the app for $1 billion.
In 2020, the app has grown larger than expected, with 500 million daily users. Its popularity has led it to become a source of income for content creators and brands worldwide, many using the app as their sole source of income.
Since the potential to make money, connect with your audience, and build a reputable brand on Instagram is so high, understanding how to use it is essential. While there are various ways to market yourself or your business on Instagram, it’s impossible to do so without first understanding your Instagram engagement rate.
Tumblr media
What is Instagram engagement rate?
Instagram engagement rate is a quantitative measure of how users interact with the content on your profile. It takes into account your number of followers, likes, comments, and shares. Engagement rates are typically calculated by dividing an account’s likes and comments by follower count.
Why does Instagram engagement rate matter?
Instagram engagement rates are significant because they measure an audience’s interest, brand relevance, and social authority.
Audience Interest
If your content appeals to your target audience, your engagement rate will be higher. If you take the time to review your best performing content, i.e., posts with the most likes, shares, saves, and comments, you’ll get a feel for what your users want to see. It’s important to note high impressions may indicate that your content has been viewed a lot, but engagement is typically defined as concrete interactions with your posts.
Relevance
If you have a high engagement rate, it’s likely your audience sees you as a relevant source of information. They may favor your content over competitors because your content sets you apart. However, if you have a high engagement rate now, will it stay the same in three months? Is it higher than it was last year? If you aren’t monitoring your engagement rate and using it as a benchmark for relevance, your score can decline.
Social Authority
While you’ve probably already identified your target instagram audience, it’s never bad to add new followers and fans to the list. These new users will take notice of your engagement — your followers, likes, comments, etc. — to decide whether or not to follow you. They’re likely to move on to your competitors if they notice your brand’s engagement, a.k.a. social authority is not strong.
What is the average Instagram engagement rate?
There is no one-size-fits-all definition of a “good” engagement rate. They vary by industry and depending on your strategic goals.
However, Instagram does have higher engagement rates than other social media networks. According to the HubSpot Instagram Engagement Report, posts on the platform generate 23% more engagement than Facebook, even though Facebook has 2x more monthly users.
If you want a numerical value to compare your score to, Rival IQ found that the average engagement rate across all industries is 1.22%. Specific sectors have higher rates, like higher education with 3.57%, sports teams with 2.33%, and influencers with 1.67%.
Because of this, it’s safe to assume that an engagement rate of around 1% is a good engagement rate.
If you’ve already run the numbers and found that your engagement rate is significantly lower than average, don’t fret. There’s room for improvement — but maintain a healthy perspective. Assess how your engagement rate has changed over time and begin devising strategies to raise your score. Start this process by calculating your engagement rate.
How To Calculate Your Engagement Rate On Instagram
There is debate among marketers on the best way to calculate your Instagram engagement rate, as different industries define success in different ways. Your preferred method depends on your goals as a brand or influencer.
Calculating Instagram engagement rate for brands
This formula is best for brands on Instagram because it considers the number of people who have seen a piece of content (impressions) rather than the total number of followers.
Tumblr media
Brands typically convert more leads via exposure first, rather than follower count. When branded advertisements get viewed, engagement rates go up, especially if they follow the advertisements to Instagram profiles and become followers. Note that Instagram accounts need to be public Business Profiles to see impressions.
Calculating Instagram engagement rate for influencers
Since sponsors often recruit influencers on Instagram based on their likes and follower count, their engagement rates incorporate these two factors. Since this metric doesn’t require any personal data, it’s possible to compare your engagement rates to competitors.
Tumblr media
No matter your engagement rate, there are always steps to be taken to raise your score.
How To Increase Your Instagram Engagement Rate
Maintain consistent branding.
Understand your audience.
Post regularly.
Create better captions.
Engage with your followers.
Engage with similar accounts.
Create mixed content.
Use CTAs.
Track your statistics.
1. Maintain consistent branding.
Maintaining consistency with your content is extremely important, and there are a variety of actions you can take to do so.
Firstly, your username should be similar or the same to your other social media usernames. For example, if your twitter handle is @greenbookworm, your Instagram handle should be the same if it’s available (or something very similar).
You should also make sure that your content is visually consistent as well, and you should have a format that you use for all of your posts. Take a look at Nike’s Instagram, for example.
Tumblr media
Source
Whenever they post content that includes typography, they use the same backgrounds and font. When they post photos, they’re high quality and use the same filter.
Tumblr media
Source
When your content has a similar look, your profile becomes aesthetically pleasing, and users can recognize your photos as a consistent brand. If they come across your content on another social media site and can realize that it’s yours, they may follow you there as well.
There’s data to back this up — WebDam found that 60% of the best-performing brands on Instagram used the same filter every time they post.
2. Understand your audience.
You can’t begin creating content without knowing your intended audience. Developing Instagram personas is a helpful tool for increasing your engagement rate. If you know who your followers are, creating content that they want makes them more likely to engage with you. Take the time to monitor your audience statistics, and update your personas accordingly.
You can use Instagram insights to get a demographic understanding of your followers. If you have an Instagram business account, navigate to the audience tab from the Insights menu.
Tumblr media
From here, you can see the top locations your users are in, your users’ age ranges, and their gender. All this information will give you an understanding of your users.
Tumblr media
If you’re a HubSpot user, you can utilize the Social Reports data to find these same insights.
Regardless of your target audience, your content needs to be accessible. Utilizing Instagram’s accessibility tools is crucial, and you can use it to add image alt text, subtitles, and captions to your content.
3. Post regularly.
Once you know your target audience, post content they’ll enjoy and do it regularly. In 2018, 60% of Instagram users reported visiting the site daily, and 38% of those users visited multiple times a day.
The number of times you post depends on your marketing strategy, but the average brand posts 1.5 times per day. Again, this metric is an average, and it may not work for everyone. Posting too much content can overwhelm your users, and they won’t hesitate to unfollow if their feed is clogged.
It’s also important to know the best times to post for your followers. Instagram insights will also tell you the best days and hours to post.
Tumblr media
Do keep in mind that quantity doesn’t equal quality, which brings us to the next engagement raising strategy.
4. Create better captions.
Unless you’re @world_record_egg, who posted a photo of an egg with no caption that has generated over 12 million likes, you need to focus on your captions. Use the brand voice you’ve developed to sound consistent and keep your intended audience in mind. You can create short captions that are serious or light-hearted.
You can also create longer captions that tell stories and take your users on a journey. Take the instagram account @humansofny as an example. They regularly feature the personal stories of people around the world.
Tumblr media
Since engagement metrics factor in the length of time users spend on your posts, consider alternating shorter and longer captions.
Hand-in-hand with writing better captions is using quality hashtags — Instagram was built on them, after all. It’s still the algorithm’s primary method of filtering through content. If you’re unfamiliar with hashtags, here’s a summary.
Captions can hold up to 30 hashtags per post, but there must be a balance. Hashtag dumping, which is similar to keyword stuffing, may make the algorithm think you’re spamming for engagement, and you can be shadowbanned. The goal is to figure out what works for you and stick to it.
Your hashtags should be a mix of popular and specific, long-tailed keywords. For example, if you’re running an Instagram for your hotel, you’ll want to use common hashtags like #hotel and #travel. However, those are also very broad, as a search for the #hotel tag has 31 million posts. Be more specific and targeted towards your needs, and maybe say #hotel, #travel, and #hotel + your hotel name + the name of the city you’re in. So, for example, #hotellisamiami.
You can discover the best hashtags to use by doing keyword research and categorizing those that work best for you and your brand. You may also want to consider coming up with a brand-specific hashtag that users can recognize as yours.
5. Engage with your followers.
After you post, engage with your followers. While Instagram has the ‘Turn off comments’ feature, opt to keep them on.
Reply to comments that your followers make. Maybe they’re asking questions or proclaiming their excitement for your product. Paula’s Choice, a beauty brand, is an excellent example of this.
Tumblr media
Source
They regularly host Instagram Q&A’s, where users ask questions and they answer them on their Instagram stories.
They’re taking actions that they know will entice their audience into interacting with their Instagram content, which factors into engagement rates.
Engaging with your followers also entails sharing their content on your site, known as user-generated content (UGC). Surfing through your brand-specific hashtags can help you find users that are posting about you. You can screenshot their content to share on your story, and even post on your feed.
Your followers will be excited that you interact with them, as engagement may signify a personal relationship with your brand. Here’s an example of Paula’s Choice posting UGC.

6. Engage with similar accounts.
There wouldn’t be a point to using Instagram if you’re not following and interacting with other accounts.
Using the platform to engage with accounts similar to yours is extremely important. If you’re a brand, this can mean partnering with influencers in the same industry. If you share products with them, they’ll post content wearing your brands. If they tag you, their followers will see your account, and many may follow you—all of these metrics factor into your engagement rate.
Emma Chamberlain is a popular YouTuber, holding almost 10.4 million Instagram followers at only 19-years-old. She regularly posts sponsored content, and her sponsors post her. She entices her followers to interact with those brands, and vice versa.

This establishes trust between brands, influencers, and their followers, which paints a picture of ‘high engagement’ to those browsing Instagram, and they’ll follow you in return.
In addition to influencers, simply engaging with brands within your industry is essential as well. Commenting on industry-standard accounts can give you exposure to users in that same comment section, and they may click your profile and become new followers.
7. Create mixed content.
When the app was first launched, all you could do was post photos. Now, there are five types of content posts supported on Instagram: photos, videos, Instagram TV (IGTV), Instagram Reels, and Instagram Stories.
It’s no longer enough to just post photos; you need to do all of it.
Videos
Zenith Media estimated that the average person would spend 84 minutes a day watching videos in 2020. That’s a significant amount of time spent watching videos, so use it to your advantage.
There are five video options within Instagram: Reels, IGTV, Story videos, Instagram Live, and video posts. You’ll need to decide which method is best for you, but a well-rounded Instagram strategy will include all. If people are watching content on your page, they’re spending more time on your site, factoring into your impressions rate.
If you’re a sports brand, post enticing videos of recognized athletes using your equipment to practice their sport.
Stories
Instagram Stories are essentially the same as Snapchat stories. HubSpot’s Instagram engagement report found 22% of users watched branded content Stories from a company, business, or brand more than once a week, and 36% liked, commented, or shared branded Stores.
You can take advantage of these numbers and use this feature to draw attention to your new posts by sharing them on your Story or simply posting Story exclusive content.
This feature can also be used to engage with your audience. Post quizzes and questions and make them shareable for other users. Stories can also be used to get feedback from customers, asking them to submit experiences with your products and services.
Circling back to influencer sponsorships, having them go live on your account via Instagram Live is a great strategy. Instagram Live’s can also be saved to your account, so new users can watch them even if they occurred three months before.
8. Use calls-to-action (CTAs).
A CTA is an image, line of text, hashtag, or swipe-up-link that is meant to entice your audience to take action — hence the call-to-action.
The specific action you’re asking users to take should be decided based on your brand, service, or influencers’ needs. This may mean notifying them of a sale by including a swipe up link in your Instagram story, asking them to tag a friend in the comment section, or sharing links to partner-posted content.
While links to other sites don’t directly impact your Instagram engagement rate, they still require users to spend more time on your profile, and you can convert them into leads on other platforms. Here’s an example of National Geographic advertising a new product on their story using a swipe-up CTA.

9. Track your statistics.
Why would you bother taking action to improve your engagement rate if you’re not taking the time to understand if it’s working? Tracking your progress is extremely important, and it should be something you focus on.
Trial and error is expected, and it should be used to inform your current and future strategies. Use your preferred CRM to find your most effective posts or pieces of content, and use the strategy employed in those for your next content posts.
After you’ve calculated your engagement rate for the first time, you should devise a timeline in which you’ll recalculate it again. Maybe you’ll set a goal of raising your score by .10% in a year, so you may plan to re-calculate the numbers every three months. This can also help you understand what isn’t working — if your numbers haven’t budged, something needs to change.
All in all, Instagram engagement rate is a measure of how your audience interacts with your content. Your rate is an indication of your Instagram profiles’ social authority, relevancy, and audience interest.
If your content is good and your followers are engaging, your engagement rate will demonstrate that. When you spend time working on your engagement rate, you collect valuable data to inform your entire Instagram marketing strategy.
You should see your engagement rate as a benchmark for customer loyalty and satisfaction.
If your users like you, it’ll show.

Best Rv Roadside Assistance Service In Las Vegas Nv
What is the Best RV Roadside Assistance?
RV Roadside Assistance Service near Las Vegas NV: Now that summer is half over with and the RV season is in full swing, I’m sure you’ve noticed a lot of other RVs on the roads. A friend that lives near Yellowstone in Wyoming was just telling me the other day about the clogged roads going into our nation’s biggest and oldest National Park. He added that if there’s a breakdown, it can set traffic back for hours while they figure out how to get the RV off the road. No one ever wants to think about a breakdown, but they happen. Some RV owners opt for roadside assistance plans to come to their aid in the event of a mechanical accident, but what is the best RV roadside assistance?
 What is it?
Many of us have some form of roadside assistance plan built into our auto insurance policy. This includes towing coverage, which can really rack up the bucks if you don’t have it. One tow truck driver told me that he charges $25 per mile for towing and during peak months, he usually asks for it upfront. And remember, that is for a passenger car, not an RV.
Benefits Include:
●      Towing to the nearest qualified repair center
●      Fuel delivery
●      Lockout service
●      Tire change
●      Battery boost
●      Tech assistance
●      And more!
What are the best RV roadside assistance programs?
●      Good Sam
●      American Automobile Association (AAA)
●      Better World Club
●      Paragon Motor Club
●      Allstate
Check out the details below to understand why these are the best options.
1. Good Sam
This service deserves the top spot for its unlimited towing coverage and calls for service. No matter how far you are from the nearest Good Sam service point, you can call them as many times as you want. Also, this one is a good option if you have more than one vehicle to cover and want family coverage.
Good Sam offers all possible roadside services except for legal fee reimbursements.
2. American Automobile Association (AAA)
Another program that can be considered as the best RV roadside assistance. It offers several packages and the priciest one covers up to 200 miles of towing distance.
The biggest advantage is that you can use the membership for any vehicle you want. For example, a family member or friend can use the service using your membership. But you cannot take their service more than 4 times within a specific period.
3. Better World Club
If you are someone who loves sustainable living, a membership from the Better World Club would be a good choice. With the zeal of going green, they offer bicycle coverage, bicycle route map, and eco-friendly travel tools.
You will get all basic roadside assistance services from this provider. Discounts on car rentals, hotels, and eco-friendly lodgings come as a bonus and the premium package offers a 100-mile towing service.
4. Paragon Motor Club
Just like the AAA packages, you can use the membership from this provider for multiple vehicles including rental cars. It is also possible to include another member without any extra cost.
There are two packages to provide all the basic assistance services, but getting a 100-mile of towing facility requires purchasing the Classic Roadside Membership plan.
If you love to get discounts on various retails services, this service will disappoint by offering none. However, compensation for emergency transportation costs in case of a stolen RV is definitely a good deal.
5. Allstate
This provider provides a good if not the best RV roadside assistance available in the market. Just by subscribing to their membership (without purchasing insurance coverage), you can get access to plenty of services including lockout, jump start, and other basic facilities.
What is The Best RV Roadside Assistance Provider?
RV Roadside Assistance Service near Las Vegas NV: The idea of home on the wheels is exciting and many people forget about some basic preparations out of that excitement. One of those tasks is subscribing to a roadside assistance service.
What is the best RV roadside assistance service that you can rely on?
Without subscribing to a good RV roadside assistance plan, you could be stranded in a remote place or stuck on the side of the road. It is better to learn about the RV roadside assistance reviews before embarking on a trip.
The Best RV Roadside Assistance Programs
What happens when your trailer gives up in the middle of nowhere? An assistance program provides a number of services in such critical situations. They will get you back on the road whether your trailer runs out of fuel, has a punctured tire, stops with a dead battery, or gets into an even bigger problem.
We’ve made a list of travel trailer roadside assistance programs so that you don’t have to waste time when looking for a service.
AAA plus RV vs Good Sam: Which One Is Better?
Most assistance programs offer basic services, including inflating a flat tire, changing punctured tires, fuel discounts, locksmith services, and more.
Where these two plans stand out from the rest is the towing limit. Most programs have limited their services to a meagerly 5-mile radius. But your RV can be broken in a godforsaken place and the nearest repair shop could be 100 miles away. Most providers charge $5 for each extra mile, which means you have to pay $475 extra just for towing the car to the shop.
The RV roadside assistance comparison with other services makes it clear that both AAA plus RV and Good Sam are better in this regard. You will get 100 miles of towing coverage with the AAA plus RV plan while Good Sam covers unlimited towing distance.
Which one is better of these two premium services? Well, Good Sam undoubtedly makes a case to be the best roadside assistance for RV service. The main points of comparison between these two providers are:
 Availability of Packages
RV Roadside Assistance Service near Las Vegas NV: Good Sam offers just two plans, Standard and Platinum, which are pretty straightforward for any user to figure out. But AAA makes it complicated with five different types of memberships. It might be good in one sense that you can choose a package according to your budget but most novice RV ers cannot figure out their needs.
Towing Distance
Under the AAA plus RV plan, you will enjoy 100 miles of towing service. Upgrading to the premium plan will extend the radius to 200 miles. However, Good Sam wins this section by imposing no restrictions on the mileage. With unlimited towing, it has you covered when your vehicle breaks down in a remote area.
Number of Calls
Just like most other roadside assistance providers, AAA limits the number of service calls up to 4 times in a year. Good Sam again comes out as the winner by putting no limit on the number of calls.
Coverage
Good Sam includes your family members in your plan. They will get covered without any extra fees. AAA goes one step ahead and extends the coverage for any vehicle. Your friend can use this service for his vehicle if you are traveling with him.
 COST
RV Roadside Assistance Service near Las Vegas NV: Good Sam is the best RV roadside assistance when it comes to costs. Its packages have a reasonable price tag if you compare them with the AAA packages. The annual charge is $79.95 (standard plan) and $114.95 (platinum plan).
AAA’s basic Classic plan costs $38 to $74 (extra charge for additional members) and the AAA plus RV package costs $124. You will need to spend $164 for the best one, Premier package.
AAA Towing Cost
Membership with roadside assistance companies can range from $52–$144 per year with nationally known companies such as AAA, AARP, and All-State Motor Club. Most of these service providers will cover the cost of towing your vehicle up to 100 miles. There are many roadside assistance companies that you can join. Each company has various programs and expenses, but they all offer services such as: towing, gas refills, jumpstarts, and flat tire repair services.
Roadside Assistance Membership Clubs
For example, Allstate offers a Roadside Advantage plan or a Platinum Elite plan. The cheaper plan maxes out its roadside assistance benefits at $150, whereas the more costly plan ends reimbursement at $250. The cost for each service can also depend on your region. When you check prices with your local companies, be sure to ask about renewal fees for the future. Paying a yearly fee for roadside assistance can also benefit you in other ways membership can include getting discounts on car rentals, flights, hotel stays, and restaurant meals.

A scenario for Kirishima, Todoroki, and Bakugou having to babysit?
since you didn’t say separately, I’m gonna have the boys all babysitting together. Hope that’s okay! If not, resend this and specify that you want them separate and I’ll do ones for each of them. But, I like the idea of three of my boys working together to wrangle in a giant group of children.
This is gonna be a long one, though, I’ll put most of it under a cut because I don’t wanna clog people’s dashboards.
“What the hell kind of assignment is this?” Bakugou complained as he, Kirishima, and Todoroki arrived at a kindergarten not far from UA, “This is stupid, it has nothing to do with being a hero.”
“Well, Aizawa sensei wouldn’t have assigned it if it wasn’t somehow relatable to hero work,” Kirishima disagreed, “Anyway, this is going to be fun! I love kids.”
“I hate kids…” Bakugou grumbled; that wasn’t true, he just didn’t want anyone to know that he secretly wanted, like, ten of them.
“It doesn’t matter what any of our personal feelings are about children, or this assignment,” Todoroki said, sighing, “Our job today is to watch over a class of kindergartners, most of whom have already manifested their quirks. While the point of this wasn’t explained, I’m sure it’s to test our ability to focus on multiple people doing multiple things at once, and testing our crowd control and leadership abilities.”
“You’re probably right, Todoroki!” Kirishima replied, grinning, “Kids can be a handful, especially ones this young!”
The three of them entered the school building and checked in with the front office before being walked to the classroom they were assigned to for the day. Midoriya, Tokoyami, and Ashido had also been assigned to the same school, but they were in a different classroom, so Bakugou’s group didn’t have any contact with them for the first half of the day.
There were twenty seven kids in the classroom that Bakugou, Kirishima, and Todoroki were assigned to, nine kids per one of them, and the first thing that they did was pick which kids they’d be responsible for and formulate a plan; they’d been given the profiles for each of the students, information on quirks if they had one, their usual behavior.
Todoroki took charge of the kids that were more on the quiet side, or quirkless, Kirishima took charge of the kids that were your average 4 and 5 year olds, and Bakugou was left in charge of the trouble makers. Bakugou was surprised by Todoroki delegating the troublemaker kids to him, though it made sense in a way since he himself was considered a troublemaker.
The kids immediately took to all three teenagers, all of the kids in the class adored all of them, but Kirishima and Todoroki were the favorites.
At first, it was hellish; because they were new people, the kids went nuts, behaving worse than usual because of their interest and excitement over these new people.
“Hey, you guys wanna see what our quirks are?” Kirishima said, loudly enough that all of the kids looked to him and stopped raising hell.
“Good plan, Kirishima.” Todoroki said, looking to the red head and smiling slightly.
“Yeah~!” A chorus of twenty seven tiny voices replied, excitedly rushing to the front of the classroom and sitting down in front of the three teenagers.
“Who’s quirk do you wanna see first?” Kirishima asked the children, who were all looking up with wide eyed, excited looks on their faces.
Most of them pointed to Todoroki, which wasn’t surprising to either of his companions, since he looked very unique with his half white and half red hair and the burn on his face.
“My quirk is Half-Cold, Half-Hot,” Todoroki explained, “With my left side, I can create and use fire, and with my right, I can create and use ice.”
The kids all made exclamations of excitement and awe, and he lit his left side on fire first to show them the flames before extinguishing his flames and showing them his ice by creating a thin layer of ice on the floor in front of the kids.
“Whoa, that’s so cool~!” Quite of the children exclaimed in unison.
“Man, my quirk isn’t gonna wow them now,” Kirishima grumbled, frowning slightly, “You wanna go next, Bakugou?”
“Why not?” Bakugou responded, “Alright, you little brats, you wanna see something cool?”
All the kids were tense with anticipation, ready for a show, and excited for what was going to happen next. All of them were thoroughly impressed by Todoroki, they couldn’t wait to see what other flashy quirks the other two teenagers had.
Bakugou grinned as he began to set off explosions from his palms with varying intensity, and all of the kids were impressed; wows and whoas echoing through the crowd of small children.
“Well, now that you’ve seen the cool ones, I guess it’s my turn.” Kirishima said, feeling slightly self conscious; his quirk was useful, he knew it, but it wasn’t flashy like Todoroki or Bakugou’s, and even though Bakugou had told him on several occasions that he was strong and that it didn’t matter, he wanted to impress the kids, and he didn’t think he could do it after them seeing his friends.
Kirishima activated his quirk, hardening his forearms and hands before punching his fists together, and the class went nuts, even more than they had for either of his classmates, and a couple of little boys rushed over to him and asked excitedly if they could touch his hardened skin.
“You really think it’s cool?” He asked them as the kids rushed over to him all shouting about how badly they wanted to touch his quirk and see him use it more, “Well, if you wanna see more, I guess I can do some stuff.”
When it was time for recess, all the classes went outside, and Kirishima broke rocks that the kids threw at him, Katsuki exploded the bits that flew off in random directions to prevent them from hitting people, though he did let one chunk of a rock hit Midoriya, and Todoroki made a little ice field for their group to slide around on.
Of course, that wasn’t all they did while they were outside, and Bakugou took the rowdy kids out on an adventure around the edge of the playground; he’d dubbed his group the Bakugou Katsuki Hero Agency, and all the little punks were his sidekicks. They really enjoyed this game, and it made Bakugou happy because it reminded of him when he was their age.
Kirishima played tag with his group of kids, and when they got tired of that, they played hide and seek. Kirishima let himself easily be found, and he pretended he was having a hard time finding some of the kids, just so that they’d have fun; he was having a blast, he adored children, and he thought that this assignment was probably more fun than it should have been.
While the other two did that, Todoroki got together with Midoriya and the two of them engaged the quieter and quirkless children at the sandbox. Midoriya understood exactly what the quirkless kids were going through, and he did his best to comfort them. Todoroki was a quiet, somewhat awkward person, so he was able to really connect with the quieter kids who were shy, and he managed to get them all to be somewhat chatty. He was grateful for Midoriya joining him, but it also gave him the opportunity to chat with Midoriya about the assignment.
When it was time to return back to class for lunch, Bakugou took charge of the class, bossing the little ones around. It surprised his partners how good he was with the kids; he was being bossy, but he wasn’t being mean to them, and he had a smile on his face almost the whole time, except when one kid talked back to him and he threatened to blow up their stuffed animal.
“Man, this is really fun!” Kirishima said as he, Bakugou, and Todoroki sat a the front of the class and watched the little kids eating lunch at their desks, “What do you guys think?”
“It’s alright,” Bakugou replied, sucking the last of the juice out of a juice box he’d taken as a tax from the one kid who had talked back to him, “Finally, people who respect my authority and don’t question me.”
“You really are good at getting them all to behave, it’s kinda scary since you’re so bad at behaving yourself,” Kirishima remarked, grinning when Bakugou shot him an angry glare, “But, maybe it’s cause you know what they’re like that you’re so good at putting them in line.”
“They also like his quirk, it’s impressive to them,” Todoroki chimed in, taking a bite out of his sandwich, “There’s also something to be said for the fact that Bakugou is a natural leader… They can’t help but follow someone so assertive.”
“See? It’s not just cause I can be a dick.” Bakugou told Kirishima, waving his empty juice box at his friend.
After lunch, it was story time; story time was the time where the kids would begin to settle down before taking their afternoon nap, and the teenagers split themselves into groups, each taking on the nine children they’d assigned to themselves earlier in the day.
Kirishima told them stories about things like how he’d manifested his quirk when he was their age, which made the kids laugh, and what classes at UA were like. Todoroki repeated stories his mother had told him when he was small to get him to sleep. Bakugou told them about all the adventures he’d been on when he was their age, talking about his friends from back then, and actually speaking fondly of Midoriya for the first time in his entire life, much to the surprise of his peers.
Todoroki’s group was the first group of kids to get settled in for nap time, they were the first ones asleep, he sat at a nearby desk to keep an eye on them. Bakugou’s group was the second group down, and since it wasn’t technically against the rules, he decided he was also going to nap. He had a pile of kids surrounding him as he slept, and the one little boy who’d been talking back to him earlier had curled up against his side and was snoozing contentedly.
Kirishima’s group was the last to get to sleep, but they had been lying down and behaving so as not to disturb the other kids who were sleeping already. Kirishima quietly told them more stories until they were all unconscious, and then he himself lied down to rest a bit. He was just closing his eyes, he told Todoroki.
Nap time lasted longer than it was supposed to, Todoroki didn’t have the heart to go and wake everyone up; Bakugou liked sleeping, and he tended to be a grumpy riser, so Todoroki would let Kirishima handle it, since his quirk could withstand Bakugou’s explosions.
Although, before Kirishima had the chance to wake Bakugou up, Bakugou’s Hero Agency Side Kicks took it upon themselves, begging to climb on him and poke him.
“Bakugou nii-chan!” The kids repeated, shaking him and gently beating on him to try and get him up, “Get up!”
That same little boy from earlier pulled on Bakugou’s hair, and Bakugou immediately snatched him up and began to tickle him mercilessly. There was no escape for the little punk, he was going to suffer for daring to touch his hair.
“Anyone else want a piece of me?” Bakugou asked his minions, “I’m not afraid of you punks, I’ll get you! Fight me!”
This led to Kirishima, Todoroki, and their kids watching on as Bakugou fought off nine small children on his own, getting his revenge on them for waking him up in such an annoying way.
“He’s a natural at this.” Kirishima remarked as they watched; Bakugou really did look like he was enjoying it, “I wonder if he’ll let them win.”
“I think he’s gearing up for that,” Todoroki said, watching as Bakugou allowed three kids to dogpile him and push him down onto the floor, “He is a natural, I can’t say that I expected it.”
The mob of small children covered Bakugou from the waist up and began to playfully beat on him and jump on him as he cried out jokingly.
“Kirishima, save me, I can’t… Make it much longer!” Bakugou shouted, “They’re too powerful, I can’t… Villains! Betrayal!”
“Nah, man, you’re on your own with this.” Kirishima replied, laughing.
“Some friend you are, Weird Hair!” Bakugou barked, sitting up and knocking all the kids off of himself.
“I thought you were man enough to take them all on,” Kirishima responded, a cheeky grin on his face, “You’re really asking for help right now? They’re just kids.”
“I’m trying to entertain them, damn it, help me!” Bakugou snapped.
Kirishima knew that, he just wanted to mess with Bakugou a bit.
“Red Riot Hero Agency, let’s go save Bakugou!” Kirishima declared, raising his group of children to action.
The kindergartners were having a lot of fun, and so were Kirishima and Bakugou. Todoroki took his kids to the quieter part of the room and worked on coloring books with them, complimenting their art as they worked on it, and even accepting some drawings the kids did of him. It warmed his heart that they liked him enough to draw little pictures of him.
When it was time for the teenagers to leave and report back to UA at the end of the day, Kirishima didn’t want to leave, and the kids didn’t want any of them to leave either. Bakugou was exhausted from how rowdy the group of kids he’d been with were, but he’d enjoyed it, so he was ready to leave. Todoroki was also ready to leave, mostly because he was eager to get his report done while it was fresh in his mind.
When they got back to UA and turned in their reports, Aizawa revealed the true purpose of the assignment:
“There was no point in it, I just thought it would be fun to see how you interacted with little kids.” Aizawa said, shocking everyone, “But the fact that most of you returned in better moods than you left in, and that you found your own meanings in the assignments is a good thing. As a hero, you’ll have lots of small children looking up to you someday, it’s good to know that you all can handle it, and not everything you do will have an obvious purpose, it’s good to find and create your own meanings in things, seeing what others don’t see.”
sorry this was so long, I got a bit carried away oops

RMA Markings, Liomemo and Huge Bug Fix Streak!
Liomemo!
Tumblr media
Do you like the old-school "Match 2" game? If so you might enjoy our small and chill minigame called Liomemo! We find it a very nice time filler between hunts and something to practice your memory with ;D It is located in Games section in Explore. The game is pretty simple - Turn over pairs of matching cards. For the best score, use as few moves as possible, while not taking too much time. There are 10 levels of increasing difficulty. Your performance is based on time and amount of mistakes! After completing all levels you can submit your total score. There are leaderboards for daily and all-time scores. You can submit your score as many times per day as you wish if you want to beat your own score - there's no rewards right now, we didn't intend for them to be there for such a small chill game, but maybe you guys will have some nice suggestions for future?

RMA exclusive markings!
(RMA = Random Marking Applicator)
Just like we promised, and based on user votes in a poll, this is a first batch of RMA-exclusive markings! It means precisely: - Every time you use RMA you have small chance to get a marking that comes ONLY from Random Marking Applicators. - The chance is much bigger than the rare markings from RMA, but still pretty rare. - Markings can pass onto cubs. Markings are: - Nimravus: Gold, Henna, Onyx, Red, White - Quagga: Clay, Copal, Ginger, Henna, Onyx - Zebra: Clay, Copal, Ginger, Henna, Onyx, Red
To keep things fresh in a year, there will be more markings added in future, such as Okapi and many more!
Tumblr media
Nimravus marking is inspired by extinct cat ancestors that are often depicted with bizarre rosettes. Figured it's a nice excuse to introduce a bi-colour spots! Note: Due to us having to launch news post early, the few Poses are still being updated with art for the markings. Please don't report them as missing or bugs until Sunday morning. Obviously as previously stated, Mutations are being updated separately.
Tumblr media
Bug Fixes & Tweaks

Fixed - Nurturing personality displaying wrong amount of max cubs on description. Fixed - Mozambique Mountains missing from WAS prize list. Fixed - Lab Frogged males trying to show male-only decors while being females. Fixed - Loner personality kings making pride members lose 10% mood instead of 5%. Fixed - May Personality Changer should be applicable to any male now. Fixed - Clan admins can now pay monthly renewal fees.
NEW - Added a new button - Suggestion Link - import lion to wardrobe from the page. This works ONLY for your own lions.
Tumblr media
Art files Stuff from Xylax
Firstly, you should be able to see Cloudburst markings in wardrobe for all not mutated lions. Secondly, I am moving out, my lease is ending soon - and this means my days are very clogged. I do my best to catch up with files daily although slowly, but for now at least I can announce here that Tailless mutation is fully up to date. This also is a reason why Felis is not out yet - I do really want to launch it soon. If it doesn't happen on June 23rd, July 7th will be my other window. This is also why I didn't touch male poses yet - I'd rather start when I no longer have my head stuck in paperwork and packing. And to be honest, I would like to re-launch the polls for poses and add few new designs - hope you guys won't mind!
Tumblr media
Remember that June event will end on June 30th at 11:59 pm and all your currency will be stored on your account until next year. Shad added new tags (I THINK?) but forgot to tell me where, so I will edit this later.. xD Testers, thank you VERY much for all your help this week
Tumblr media
Raffle Lioness
Congrats King) Angavu (#29399)! You have won the last raffle lady! New lady with the Wilge River BG is up for impressing in Special Lioness area in Explore or in NEWS section under News Post List! ;D
Polls and Dev Notes
Looks like you guys (with SMASHING confidence) chose craftable marking/base applicators. Sure, gems work like that already but that'd be something entirely different and I need some brainstorming first :D thanks for letting us know your thoughts! So, new poll LINK - Small idea for stud fertility requirements - simple yes or no!

Five Golden Rules for SEO Beginners - Tips From Distilled
They say learning SEO is like learning a new language. With such a skill, comes hours of pouring over educational materials and practising it until it comes with ease. But if you don’t learn the skill with the guidance of a teacher or the right resources, you can end up with holes in your knowledge and a wobbly accent (so to speak).
Luckily at Distilled, I have access to a full office of SEO professionals who have been practising such skills for years. It is this resource that I am going to share a snippet of, with you today.
This isn’t your typical SEO beginners guide. Instead, it’s a how-to-get-ahead and stand-out-from-the-crowd debut. The kind of thing when learning a new skill, you’d want to stumble across.
So - here’s what you need to know if you want to stand out from your average SEO newbie crowd...
1. Download these plugins/extensions to make life easier
If there is a way to automate something, do it. By installing the right extensions and knowing what tools to use for what purpose, can save you hours of long-hand work. Here are some tools and extensions that if you don’t have downloaded already, you need to do so now.
Chrome Extensions:
Pi Portent
This extension will review all the key SEO elements of the page that you’re on. Instead of using the ‘inspect’ feature and locating page h1s, meta descriptions, title tags, and the rest of it on your own accord; this plugin identifies these easily and gives you a brief explanation per element.
MozBar
This tool can be used for viewing:
Link metrics (i.e. DA & PA)
Page analysis (i.e. page title, markup)
Highlight links (i.e. nofollow, follow)
Keyword difficulty
Page optimization
On-Page content suggestions
Web Developer
As we can see, this tool gives you an easily laid out menu of some key web developer tools that can help you analyse a site from the Googlebot perspective.
Cool tip: If you want to see how much Javascript a website has enabled, turning on ‘Disable JavaScript;’ and then reloading the web page will show you what Googlebot sees - which can be very insightful!
Redirect path
As the name suggests, this tool identifies the redirect path of a URL. Simple, but effective.
Google Tag Assistant
Tag Assistant validates the implementation of Google tracking scripts on any page you turn it on for. Once you hit ‘record’, it will analyse all the pages on the current tab.
Open Multiple URLs
Again, this one is self-explanatory and basic, but very useful when you have a lot of links you need to check. Copying and pasting them into the box to open simultaneously, can shave a few minutes off your day.
What Font
Whilst this tool doesn’t have anything to do with SEO… it can definitely help in the presentation of your recommendations and SEO decks. For example, say you have Facebook as a client. To make things more presentable and visually pleasing, you can use this tool to pick the exact Facebook blue, to then use in the colour scheme of your deck or spreadsheets.
You can also click on a heading on a website, and it will tell you the exact font being used; of which you can replicate in your presentation materials.
Wappalyzer
This extension identifies what software technologies a website is using. Such features include analytics, programming language, web framework, widgets, tag manager, etc. It's your one-stop-shop to figure out all your web programming needs.
2. Get specific results from your common SEO tools
The following are tools SEO consultants at Distilled use daily. Instead of trying to capture what each of these can do for you in a few sentences, I’ve linked various blog posts relative to each tool for you to dive into.
Screaming Frog
What is it? A website crawler that crawls URLs to then provide you with data that you can draw insights from.
How to use it? Download it onto your computer, and read my fellow Distiller’s post; How to Use Screaming Frog: A Beginner’s Guide.
Deep Crawl
What is it? A crawling program that is cloud-based. This tool is ideal if you’re crawling a website with hundreds of thousands, or millions of URLs, and you don’t want to clog up your computer and make everything frustratingly slow on a downloaded crawl program.
How to use it? Sign up and create an account on their website, and start exploring the tool! Moz’s blog post effectively captures some key behaviours; Lessons Learned While Crawling the Web
Ahrefs
What is it? An online tool that looks into the organic search traffic, keywords and backlink profile of a website.
How to use it? Create an account here. One of the most used features on ahrefs, is the ‘keyword explorer’ section, explained further here; A Beginner’s Guide to Ahrefs for Small-Batch Keyword Research
SEMrush
What is it? An online visibility platform that offers solutions for SEO, PPC, content, social media and competitive research.
How to use it? Log in and explore all of the different functions available. A Distilled team member has identified using the tool effective for keyword research. See here; How to Use SEMrush for Competitive Keyword Research
Happy exploring!
3. Don't underestimate 'soft' skills to complement your technical arsenal
A crucial skill to learn as a newbie SEO, is understanding that ‘soft’ skills are just as important as your technical skills.
It can be easy to get caught up in the technicalities and understanding your own findings and point of view; however, if you work for an agency or even in-house; you’ll have to explain your thought-process to someone who isn’t as familiar with it as you are. Whether it’s a client or management, nurturing this relationship is vital to your career progression.
How?
Try and formulate your recommendations in a way that is most beneficial to the client → Take the context of their pain points & struggles into account. For example, ‘best practice’ solutions might not be applicable to them (due to their technical set up, resources, internal politics, etc). So make your recommendations relevant to them, not ‘the industry’.
Always try to be flexible and present several possible solutions → this gives them leeway and control over what they think would suit them best, without requiring you to go back to the drawing board unnecessarily. On the Moz Blog, Laurel has written a great post that dives into these soft skills in her post, ‘Empathetic consulting: 3 things to remember when working with other teams’.  Have a read through to get more of an understanding of how clients can feel when dealing with accepting outside help.
Try to keep a stable team working on one account → Having team members drifting in and out of work might be misconstrued as your team not caring about the account. If someone can no longer work on it, inform your client properly and re-introduce someone else that does have the time and resources to dedicate to the client.
Further resources to improve your soft skills:
After combing through both the Moz blog and Distilled blog, below are a few quick links to some posts that explore various elements of developing your soft skills as a consultant that are available to you to investigate further.
‘How to Talk to Your Clients in a Language They Understand’
‘The MECE Framework — What It Is and How to Use It’
‘Communicating to Clients & Stakeholders in a Constantly Changing SEO Landscape’
‘How to Present a Recommendation’
4. Learn SEO from the right sources
The other day I was watching a video from SearchLove Boston 2019 by Daniel Russell, and he said something that resonated with me. He said he looks at how ‘the big dogs’ are doing it; whatever it is that you’re trying to learn, learn from the best.
Whilst finding the best person at SEO is near impossible, I personally have found going to a place where the best do tend to congregate, is a good start. Yes, I’m referring to conferences.
Not only do digital marketing conferences offer an opportunity to attend all the sessions you are interested in and want to learn about, but they are also a fantastic platform to network and build your contacts. Typically, networking might not be your first point of call when learning about SEO. But it really should be up there on your to-do list.
The conversations you have with SEO experts who are working in the industry, own their own agencies or have been working in-house for a big brand; will offer you exceptional insights and tips that your average SEO blog won’t touch on.
Furthermore, conferences such as SearchLove, offer sessions that are focused on the most up-to-date SEO practices, held by SEO experts who have been vetted and chosen to share their personal case studies and strategies with the audience. After two days of learning actionable SEO strategies, there are networking events held at the end of every day, to give attendees a chance to meet fellow SEO professionals, as well as meet the speakers.
If you’re interested in attending an SEO conference, SearchLove is the one for you! Held in San Diego and London, see which one is for you here.
SEARCHLOVE IS THE CAN'T MISS SEARCH EVENT OF THE YEAR.
David Wilson (attendee)
Want to learn SEO the Distilled Way?
If you can’t stray from your desk, Distilled also offers an educational platform, called DistilledU, that has interactive SEO courses you can participate in; receiving a certificate at the end! If you’re interested in completing this online course, all you have to do is become a member of DistilledU. See here to learn more!
5. Track your own progress and identify areas you want to build on
Last but not least, is to understand that your progression is up to you. Whether you’re in-house or work for an agency, it’s down to you to manage your own time and progression. Particularly working in the ever-changing nature of SEO, things can begin to feel a little out of control. Here at Distilled, we place value on independent work; which doesn't mean working in a silo, but instead means that you manage your own time and tasks.
A common term that is used to refer to this process of self management of skill progression, is a t-shaped marketer. A t-shaped marketer is someone who develops a cross-discipline competence as well as have a deeper knowledge and expertise in one area in specific. These two blog posts I’ve stumbled across have proven to be useful in explaining this concept further, one by Rand Fishkin, ‘The t-shaped web marketer’, and the other by Mike Tekula, ‘Building a T-Shaped Web Marketing Skill Set’.
There are many ways you can go about tracking your progression across various tools/skills. A few time and task management tools have been passed around the office, with the following being most commonly used.
SEO Skills Checklist
My personal favourite is the excel spreadsheet my colleague, Arpun Buhni has developed and refined for all SEOs to use. By clicking on this link, and creating a copy for yourself; you can use it as a tracking sheet to watch the progress of your skills increase.
As you can see, there are different categories of areas in digital marketing that you can focus on, with each row containing a specific task. Nothing is too broad or overwhelming, instead, it is easily spread into bite-sized tasks where you can put in a score of your skill level for each. All the scores are explained in the sheet. Don’t worry if initially, you keep putting down 1s and 2s; that’s expected! It shows the opportunity to build those skills to 3s and 4s. Enjoy!
Trello Boards
This is an online program that allows you to visually organise tasks through the creation of ‘boards’. You can share these boards with fellow team members, whilst also have private boards of your own for idea dumps and planning. Making a board for areas to learn, and areas to improve on is another effective way to utilise this system. Explore it here.
Excel Planner
Whilst this may appear plain and mundane, Excel can be a great tool to manage your daily tasks and time. See the screenshot below of an example monthly planner structure. Make a copy for yourself here!
You could also make another sheet that focuses on progression, containing columns such as your progress made on Google Analytics, using Screaming Frog, how to do a tech audit; etc. This should be edited and checked monthly so you can see how you’re progressing and identify areas to work on.
That’s a wrap!
Please feel free to add any comments you have or further ideas you’ve come across that you feel would be beneficial for newbie SEOs.

Try to keep a stable team working on one account → Having team members drifting in and out of work might be misconstrued as your team not caring about the account. If someone can no longer work on it, inform your client properly and re-introduce someone else that does have the time and resources to dedicate to the client.
