Mega Man: Chaos
An idea for a Mega Man fangame, one that I'll be using for the SMG4 AU as one of the four servers in the second batch of the Grid's MRU project. They'll be experimenting with it by deliberately invoking a split Anchor/Avatar setup like the one that the Arles used to have and Cole and Sally currently have.
I haven't figured out the story for it yet, or the Robot Masters and Fortress Bosses, but I have figured out the playable characters.
Mega Man
aka DLN-001: Rock Light. You all knew he'd be here. And that he'd be one of the Anchors. He plays pretty much exactly like you'd expect.
Neo Woman
aka DLN-002: Roll Light, who will be the other Anchor. She and Rock are the only characters unlocked right from the start.
Due to the events of the story, Roll insisted on stepping up and being upgraded like her brother had all that time ago. As Neo Woman she wears green armor similar to Rock's, though instead of a Buster she uses an also-upgraded Combat Broom, which takes different forms when she uses the Master Weapons.
Proto Man
aka DLN-000: Blues Light. He's unlocked when Mega Man's story is completed.
He has a bit less health than his siblings and can't charge his shots or slide, but he has the Proto Shield and slightly higher attack to compensate.
SWN-001: Bass Wily
Unlocked when Roll's Story is completed.
He plays identically to Mega Man, except his Charge Shots behave differently.
Kalinka Cossack
Unlocked when Proto Man's story is completed.
Kalinka uses special armor to keep up with the others (well, mostly. she's a little slower and can't jump as high) despite being human, which includes the weapons of her father's Robot Masters (the ones from Mega Man 4). It doesn't have a base weapon, however, so she has to keep track of her weapon energy more than the others since she doesn't have a fallback. She also can't obtain the Master Weapons of this game's oc Robot Masters.
Sniper Joe
A standard enemy that has turned on its master for reasons known only to itself. Unlocked when Bass's story is completed.
Plays identically to Proto Man, except it can't copy Master Weapons and can only take three hits.
Any three hits. Even from things that would one-shot the other characters.
