Hey just wondering, what do you think about James Cobb and is he in your au?

james cobb is a very funny character to me, and i'm not sure where i'm going to slot him in in OFH but he's probably going to make an indirect cameo in conversation at some point

i haven't the opportunity to sketch him up at the moment, but for now i'll say that he is in the AU; he was one of magnificus's students when mag was still teaching art at a university, and one of his most obsessive fans. he eventually was expelled from the university, probably due to some kind of extremely indecent performance art or smth, and went on to switch careers...to an engineer at botopia labs! probably somewhere towards the end of poe's career, like uhhh early 2000's or something. because he was still no less of a weird guy poe had a hard time figuring out what to really do with him, but he has his place in the factory now, and still works there after poe's retirement

if he's going to come up at all in the fic it'll either be one of the students mentioning him, or poe and mag having a convo about the weirdest people they've come upon in their careers and realizing that they're both talking about the same weird guy lmao
