14. Good morning kisses.

The loud mumbling beside you was what woke you up that morning. One eye slowly creaked open, vision adjusting to the dim light from the window, as you looked over to the spot next to you. You, still mostly asleep, watched as the figure next to you slung his arm over his eyes and groaned to himself. 

Ah yes, the consequences of his own actions. 

He groaned before hissing out a breath, unfolding his arm from his face and his body slowly slumped upwards. You lay still, more awake at this point, and pretended to still be asleep. He felt his face, his fingers clenched at the bridge of his nose, no doubt his head rocking his whole world upside down as his red shag of hair was tousled in every which direction. A quiet curse left from his lips as he used his only arm to throw back the sheets on him and make his way on his feet. 

He walked across the room with a slight stumble in his step as he made his way to the two of your's private bathroom, once the door shut you sat up and rolled your eyes. You swore one day his liver's just going to explode with how he treats alcohol, and especially after last night. 

The evening that the crew managed to land on the island a festival was being held all throughout the city. Fireworks, stage performances, all types of music, and more notably booze and even more booze. So being the bunch of alcoholics the Red Haired pirates are, of course the crew gladly took part. As everyone around you got toasted you and Benn being the smart responsible ones in your crew (and because the two of you enjoyed the absolute delight watching the crew regretting their actions the next day was) the two of you would always not drink as much, but to at least have a buzz throughout the drunk escapades. 

Well and if anyone was the biggest alcoholic among the crew, everyone knows it's Shanks. 

 All throughout the night he laughed and sang along with the music that played as he drank one after another after another. At one point with you on his lap he chugged down one after another and another until you gave up and lost count, but the heated uncalculated kisses pressed to your neck only then to be drunk serenading to you minutes later was the the tell tale of what type of night you'd be having. (But the part when Benm dunked Yasopp with a whiskey barrel for being an absolute dick, that was unexpected and you got a real kick out of that.)

You were caught out of your thoughts as the doorknobs jiggle grabbed your attention, you quickly darted back to lie back down and go back to pretending you were lost in peaceful dreams before the door opened and your lover trudged his way back to your shared bed. A blunt force hit your dresser, then the floor.

"Ah shit." You peeked open one eye to take a curious look. Shanks hissed another curse through his teeth as his body slumped up the wood his only arm clutched onto his knee. "...damn thing always in my fucking way." He sighed before flaring his nostrils and looking towards your direction, which you quickly closed your eyes before he saw you gawking at him. 

Hearing the pop in his joints, he made his way off the bed and plopped back in his spot next to you, and after a few silent moments his arm wrapped around your waist to pull you close to him, his chin rested in the crook of your neck. His heartbeat remained a steady rhythm as his chest was pressed to yours, it relaxed you long enough to not take notice for a while he still reeked of booze. 

For a while. 

Once you did notice you instantly dropped the sleeping act. 

"Ugh, Shanks go shower!" You pushed him away from his ever so loving embrace. He looked at you and blinked at you confused a few times. "Well good morning Sleeping Beauty, I thought it was the kiss that was supposed to wake the princess up, not hugs." 

"Well it did. You smell like a whole bar spilled on you!" He took a few good sniffs at himself, cocking his eyebrow. "Oh, didn't notice." His hand remained in your hip, still keeping you in his grasp, you desperately tried to push away. 

"Shanks. Shower." 

"Doll, I'm hurt! do I even get my morning kisses first?!" 

"Now!" He let a drawn out sigh. "I'm really hurt. My head is pounding, I feel like the marine ships after the aftermath of Hawk eye's 'no loitering' escapades and now my own girlfriend won't even let me love her! I'm hurt." You rolled your eyes. 

"Shower. Then kisses." The Yonko sighed and puffed out his cheeks childlike. "...fine." His hand left your waist before he sat up and felt at his face with his signature hungover groan. His feet hit the floor and he sat at his bedside and combed his fingers through his hair before looking back to you and pointing. 

"What about just one?" He gave you a grin. 

God dammit. 

"...fine you alcoholic bastard." You sat up and wrapped your arms around his neck as you pressed a quick kiss to his lips...only for him to hold the side of your face to deepen it. As your lips exchanged you fell on your back and he hovered over top of you, pulling back for only a second to let the cocky snicker leave his throat before going right back in. 

Fuck this man and his fucking smooth ass moves. Your heart bumped excitedly in your chest as your hands gripped at the naked skin of his back as he continued to continue with his given talent of taking your breath away. It all for a while made you forget he smelled like a brewery exploded on him. 

For a while. 

You pulled back and gasped for air, pushing him away. "Shanks! Shower!" A groan left him as he pushed himself up off the bed. "Yeah yeah, heard you, I know!" 

You laughed to yourself as you watched him for the second time that morning trudge off to the bathroom, before going in turning around to point at the dresser. 

"We're replacing that because of its hatred of my fucking knee!" You could only find yourself laughing.

Oh you loved this alcoholic bastard.

17. Peppered kisses

You know, when you expected your boyfriend's return from a potential suicide mission to take out a Warlord, yeah you  expected the fight to have been tough and he'd come back with potential scars and bruises or...worse, not at all. But what you weren't expecting that he came back with a severed arm that was only sewed back on a week ago. 

The moment he approached the Whale Forest you felt all your balled up depression faze away and instead turn into a giddy smile as you ran up to him and trapped him in a hug. The giddy smile then instantly turned to a pout as your silent sobs over took you and you desperately clung onto his shirt. His arms hesitantly wrapped around you as a rare soft smile appeared on his lips, god how long had it been? The loud collective awning regathered his attention from his daze as his glare reached the rest of the adoring crew. 

It didn't take that long to signature death glared them into fear and blabbered apologies. 

The night continued as the victory banquet was held and all of Zou celebrated, the entire night the two of you didn't leave each other's sides. 

The fire dimmed as slowly one by one of the partygoers started to calm down. Law sat his back to a tree that other looked at the scene, you leaning into his side as Kikoku laid near his other. His arm wrapping protectively around your waist as your head laid on his chest. His slow heartbeat sounded like music to your ear, he was finally back with you. 

"You know for a while there I was captain." You calmly said as you finger tapped to the beat of his heart. Your boyfriend sat in silence as his eyes stared over to Strawhats Luffy's direction. Your eyes fell half lidded. "It was really hard without you, and honestly looking back now I don't see how you can do it." You closed your eyes, fingers still tapping in beat. 

"They all were asking when you'd come back. And I didn't...Law I didn't…" A heavy silence filled the air. 

"It was hard. Not being able to tell them the truth behind what you were doing, how important bringing down Doflamingo really was to you." You reopened your eyes to look up, finding surprisingly Law staring down at you. Your breath caught your throat. "I didn't…" What were you trying to say? That you didn't know if he'd come back? That you didn't know what if he'd even succeed? That if he even did succeed would it still be worth having a Yonko placing a target on yours and everyone you loved heads? 

"I didn't ever stop thinking about you." Law's eyes widened. "Not even once, and I never would have stopped." Your fingertips stopped tapping once you felt his heart start to race. He breathed heavily through his nose, his mouth opening slightly but hesitating to let words come out but when they did they sounded hoarse for how he'd barely spoken since reuniting with his crew. 

"I could've died, you know." You nodded, your face still on his chest, your eyes looking lovingly into his. He closed his eyes as he slightly clenched his teeth.

"Doflamingo...I...dammit...if it hadn't been for Strawhat I don't even see how I would've gotten out of there alive…" Your glance reached over to the said Strawhat boy, with how Law had described everything he did in Dressrosa by himself his in person appearance kind of startled you, and not even mentioning his eating habits…

You looked back to Law, your hands leaving his chest and caressing his face making his eyes spring open to look down at you, you smiled widened as you reached up and pressed your lips to his. After a few seconds of taking in your touch his bandaged arm reached up to grab at the back of your head to deepen the kiss. You opened one eye to look over at the arm he was using and instantly pulled back. 

"Wait, your arm - are you sure it-"

"(Name), I'm a doctor my arm is fine. Get back to kissing me." Like that you were pulled back into the kiss, with each lip exchange the kiss felt feverish and your hands gripped tightly onto his black shirt as you leaned yourself up go sit on his lap, his hands made home at your hips. The two of you pulled away and you leaned back to get a good look at his face. 

He looked like he hadn't gotten a good rest in weeks (well that was normal) his black hair tousled from every direction, his eyes fell hazy as they looked to yours, cheeks dusted an adorable shade of pink, and lips partly parted and slightly abused with the prior exploits. You bumped your forehead with his. 

"You look like shit." You said in a half attempt at a laugh. "Well, I think getting your shit wrecked twice by a Warlord in one day will kind of do that to you." 

"That was more than a week ago." 

"Eh, aftershock. You know this has been the first time I haven't been stressed the hell out by the Strawhat?" A quiet giggle shot through your throat. "Oh but I thought it was because of him you wouldn't gotten out of there alive?" He sighed as you flashed him a cheeky grin. His hands shot up to grab at the sides of your face. 

"Shut up, you." 

His lips pecked at the sides of your face, every inch of skin he could touch. Another giggle heap came from you, affectionate Law was rare, this was truly a gift. Kisses pecked your jaw all the way down your neck until they reached to creak of your shoulder. Once there he stopped and rested his face there. You felt his calm breath as his hands slid to your sides, keeping a nice grip on you. 

"I never stopped thinking about you either." Your eyes widened. "Not even once...that was...true hell for me, (Name). But I knew, if that bastard-...if that bastard still had his own devices I would never truly be able to be happy with you in this world. I needed Cora-san's revenge and...I couldn't dare imagine if he found out about you…" Your breath caught your throat. "...but we're still not completely out of this, you know that. Wano...I don't know how we're going to handle." 

You motioned to raise his head up to look at you. You pressed a long kiss to his lips before holding onto the side of his face leaning to close your lips still mere inches from his. You whispered to him softly. 

"Then'll be something we figure out to handle together."

(This may be a little more angst than fluff, 18 will ALWAYS have a little of it but I hope your okay with how this came out, sorry about that…)

18. Treat this like it's our last kiss

Being a civilian and dating a Yonko is hard. You know this better than anyone. You didn't get to see him often, there was the threat of the marines trespassing the emperor's territory and showing up at your island to specifically target you (as in your like a chest piece or something) or the other rivaling Yonko looking for anyway to get closer to the One Piece. 

The headlines in the newspapers have been all the same for the past week: the countdown to the execution of Fire Fist Portgas D. Ace. You knew your lover was rivals with the Whitebeard pirates, but you knew he had a certain soft spot for the Second Division Commander, saying he reminds him of his old captain; the pirate king himself.

You met Ace a few times when he'd drop by to have challenged your lover to a few duels. Yeah, he'd always loose (you know, fighting a fucking emperor and all,) but the way he'd always get up with that big smile on his face made you really wonder if he was anything like Gol D. Roger, you were sure the Pirate King was nothing like the Government 'claims' he was (you already knew that, but it was reassuring.) 

Tomorrow. Everyone in the New World was tense. Whitebeard would never let anything happen to one of his children. You and everyone in the world knew there would be a war tomorrow. That's when the Red Haired pirates decided to intervene. 

The Red Force was ready to set sail that morning. The citizens of the island under the Yonko's flag all stood near the dock on the beach worriedly as the crew passed and readied supplies for the journey into Paradise. Benn Beckman pointed over to you near the ramp leading up to deck before slinging his gun over his shoulder and making his way to Yasopp to pull him back towards the general way of the ship and away from the group of ladies he was hitting up with (gross, Yasopp when was the last moment you even thought about your son and dead wife?) 

You pushed your way through the crowd of crewmates, excusing yourself as you slid and slide your way between them until you made your way at the end of the dock near the ship ramp. The moment you stood behind the tall figure clad in his signature black cloak, you felt your breath caught in your throat. The moment your weight was applied to your foot, the board underneath of you creaked, getting the shag of red hair's attention to spin around and take notice of you. The moment your eyes met, you could tell the chill laid back persona was completely vacant in his black orbs. You looked down to the dock underneath of you and swallowed your tension. 

"I just wanted-" The creaked footsteps approaching you cut you off and before you could even look up, you were pulled forward pressed into his chest. Tears flooded your vision as your hands went to clench at the back of his cloak. "Shanks…" you croaked out, trying to hold back the sob from escaping your throat. His forehead bumped with the top of your head, the grip of his only arm on your waist tightening possessively. You could feel his frown as he pressed his face into your skull. You closed your eyes as you cried into his shirt. 

The moment the pressure of his forehead left you, you looked up and reopened your tearful eyes and sniffed away your sob as he looked down at you, he bent down to catch your lips with his. The kiss was soft, the moment your lips met it made you feel dizzy but Shanks always had the talent to do that. When he pulled back, the serious in his eyes softened instead faded into a gentle gaze. His lips stayed neutral, no smile or anything to show what he was thinking, you on the other hand felt your heart race out of your chest, your lips hung open and your mouth agape confused where you should even begin telling him what you were thinking. 

Ah fuck it. 

Your hands left from his back in favor to hold at the back of his head, in an instant you pull him down for another kiss and out of surprise and shock the emperor's grip on your waist tightens. Your fingers tangle in his red locks at you open your mouth slightly to let his tongue explore your mouth. He bites at your lip when you grip on his hair tightens. As your lips clash, your breath starts to come less and less, not because of the breathtaking kiss but because god knows what's going to happen at this war at this might be the last moment the two of you even get to have. Shanks pulls away to catch a breath of sir before meeting your still teary gaze, knowing exactly what's still on your mind. 

He pants before reaching up from your waist to caress your cheek. A loving smile reaches his lips before he presses a kiss to your forehead then bumps his to your own. "I love you." He says in a quiet gentle whisper, words only met for you and you only to hear, you sniffle in response. "No matter what happens out there tomorrow, I promise I'm coming home to you, no matter what, and I promise we're going to get him out of there."

7. Earlobe kisses

A giggle left your throat as you were pulled by the hand into the nearby storage room. The moment the door shut, you were picked up by the waist and spun around in circles, which only made your giggles louder. 

"Killer! Stop it! Kid's going to have our ass if he finds us in here and not out on deck!" You were placed back on your feet, your lover who held you tossing off his mask to the nearby table to give small kisses that was pressed to your neck. "Let 'em." 

When Eutass Kid is put in a bad mood, the whole crew pays for it. The Strawhat kid making an alliance with - what's his face??? Trafalgar??? Yeah that idiot, that was a pretty good reason for Kid to be in a bad mood (Damn Kid, chill you're the only one who thinks that) so when he a (unfortunate) pirate crew passed by when the Kid Pirates were on their way to to Apoo and Hawkins about their potential alliance; Kid being Kid decided he had every right to blow up their ships with a Punk Gibson, which made the mess of ship wreckage, blood, and severed limbs that rest of the crew were to clean up on deck. 

So being the sly rebel you are and tired of your captain's bullshit. You decided to kill your boredom by teasing your boyfriend (who also had to suffer clean up duty) Little did you know, Killer was also tired of your captain's bullshit, and this is how you two ran off together. 

Multiple kisses were packed to your lips, cheeks, and forehead. Your arms wrapped around him and you kissed his lips, deepening the kiss by tangling your fingers through his blonde hair, when you pulled back you smiled. "You're really handsome, Killer." 

Instantly his face flushed red, you knew praise would always help his insecurities about his face, even if he trusted you enough to see it regularly. His face contorted and fazed between multiple different expressions, all not sure if you're right but he learned by now not to listen to though deep thoughts, you loved him just the way he is. He looked down at you before smiling, peppering more kisses to your cheeks, your giggles growing louder with each peck. 

"Really? You want to talk about me? Don't even get me started about you!" More and kisses pressed to your entire face. After a few minutes of kisses, Killer pulled back and sighed. 

"I love you, (Nam)-" A loud banging on the door cut him off. 

"(NAME)! KILLER! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!" You and Killer looked at each other in panic before Killer sprang to put his mask back on. The loud jangling of the doorknob echoed throughout the storage area. 

"YOU BETTER NOT BE FUCKING IN THERE!!!!" 

You looked around the small room frantically before finding your place to hide, you grabbed your lover's hand and tugged him across the room you pointed to the cabinet and motioned for Killer to help you push it. The two of you pushed the cabinet to the side a bit before you squatted down and sat behind it before Killer followed suit, his large frame barely being hidden behind the wood, his shoulder bumping into yours. 

A loud crash echoed throughout the door as the door to the storage crashed to the floor. With each loud thudding footstep, caused you cover your mouth to keep your giggles hidden. 

"...dammit. I KNOW YOU TWO ARE IN HERE!" You looked over to your lover, who lifted up his mask to feel at his face, a barely audible curse hissing past his teeth. You smiled as you grabbed his hand, which made him look back to you. You gave him a few pecks on the check before he pulled away. 

"Kid's in here." Your lover whispered before taking a quick peek behind the cabinet. Kid meanwhile could be heard tossing things around in the search of the two of you. "I thought it was: 'let 'em'?" The blonde's cheeks flushed as he looked away from you, avoiding the embarrassment of his previous words. You were cute when you're being a cheeky asshole. 

The sounds of swords and other various metal objects began to slowly become less and less before the captain let out a sigh of frustration. 

"Fine be that way. I'm going to go punch something." His loud footsteps left the storage and creaked as they left for the hall. "WIRE! I NEED YOUR FACE FOR A SEC!"

You looked out from behind the cabinet before sighing in relief. "Well that ordeals over with." Killer shook his head and scratched at the back of his neck, his mask still set up to the top of his head he looked over to you with a soft smile. "Well we're not hidden by that door anymore." You took a look at the door that originally kept the two of yours exploits away from the rest of the ship, now split in two and a notable shape of Kid's prosthetic hand in the center. 

"Well shit." You muttered looking back to Killer, and shrugged your shoulders. "We still got the cabinet." Killer's face scrunched up as he shifted around his legs. "I don't know, it's kinda tight spaced in here." With that a wicked smile flashed across your face and even before Killer could question it your arms were around his neck and you dropped him to the floor, his mask falling off the top of his head, your back hitting the floorboards. His arms caught themselves at the sides of your head. The blush on his cheeks only grew darker as you caught his lips. 

As your tongues collided, your hands entangled in his hair as the kiss deepened. A quiet moan left your lips before Killer pulled back to catch his breath, his face burying into your neck. "I love you too, Killer." You smiled, fingers combing through his hair. You felt his smile grow on your neck as he leaned up, his nose grazing your ear, you could hear him swallow his breath. He stayed like that for a few moments before his lips parted, warm breath fanning your skin. He leaned closer as he pressed his lips to the skin of your earlobe. He leaned back up to hover over you, one hand reaching to touch your cheek as he smiled. 

"It'll always make my heart soar every time I hear you say that."

16. Tub kisses

You sighed to yourself as you made your way through the doorway. Your wet soggy jacket slumped over your shoulders, dripping onto the floor as the weight of your body pressured your feet. As you walked into the small office, you lazily closed the door behind you before trudging to the desk in the middle of the room, dropping the stack of papers in your hand on the desktop. 

Your eyes felt they were going to drop at any moment as you looked to the papers. All of it was the paper Ace dropped on you. HIS paperwork. You felt at the bridge of your nose. 

Why the hell were you so agreeable all the time? 

You know your day started out perfectly fine. You woke up, managed to get your favorite breakfast before the rest of the crew meaning you ate in peace and quiet for once without the crews loud 'Whitebeard pirate-ness', Teach was sent away for a week due to his creepy shenanigans which was a win for everyone, and no one managed to hurt themselves, it was a great morning! 

Then noon happened. 

Just how stupid do you have to be to think you can take on the Whitebeard pirates? How really? Fucking marines never learn. But that encounter got a few crewmates for you and the rest of the nurses to attend to in the med ward.  

Then Thatch made Izo mad. 

The mess hall erupted in a brawl, as Thatch jumped and dodged for bullets for his life the test of the crew cheered on and even bets were made. It was only when the Fourth Division Commander grabbed a skillet that a bullet bounced off and hit Deuce in the leg. The own doctor being sent to the med ward, yet again for you to treat. 

For a couple of weeks now one of Haruta's major prank wars was in full swing. Everyone on the crew had their turn...and today's just had to be yours and that's how your jacket got to wet and soggy state it's in now because...you opened a medicine cabinet door and that demon child's fucking traps. 

And so as you were walking back to Marco's office in hopes of some little R&R, that's when Ace stopped you and asked for a favor, you to do his paperwork so he could check in on Deuce. You had to admit, the younger division Commander was sweet but...fuck he was too sweet for you sometimes. 

You groaned to yourself as you continued to feel it on your face. God you needed a break. 

And that's when the door squeaked open. You let your digits drop from your face as you instantly spun around to see who was going to bother you now, only for it to be Marco in the doorway, covered head to toe in syrup. 

You found a let giggle emerge from your throat. "He got you too?" You asked, watching the tired emotionless look in his eyes. He shut the door behind him and sighed. 

"You wouldn't believe the day I've had-yoi. Pops' being stubborn about his heart medication again." He said as he walked across the room to your shared bathroom already taking off his sandals. You crossed your arms over your chest. "Yeah tell me about it, I watched Izo almost cap Thatch today." The first division Commander flashed an enthused smile. 

"Yes, I heard-yoi." Once his sandals dropped to the floor he glanced over to his desk at the stack of paper, sticky blonde pineapple hair stuck to his forehead, he groaned. 

"...please don't tell me that's for me-yoi." You shook your head. "No, Ace dropped it on me earlier...just when I thought my day was over." Marco opened the door to the bathroom with a sigh. 

"It's his paperwork. He's in charge of it, not you. I'm going to see if I can...get this off-yoi…" A few moments of silence. 

"You're free to join me-yoi."

A bubble bath did sound nice. 

The two of you sat in the water together. The said water filling the tub part way and bubbles surrounding the two of you. You faced him, him with his back to the tub edge and his arms on the sides tired and woozy due to the water, as your hands scrubbed all the stick left in his hair. You mentally cursed Haruta to yourself at the Commander's sick view of 'fun' as you continued to scrub but somehow found more to wash out as you continued on. 

Once you got to a point where you couldn't find anymore, you sighed as you relaxed into his chest, his arms immediately wrapping around your body with a quick kiss pressed to the top of your head. 

"Thank you, love-yoi." 

"No problem, you got it worse than I did...all the punk managed to do was ruin my jacket." You nuzzled your face deeper into his wet chest as you let out a quiet snicker. 

"Sounds tough-yoi." 

"Marco! I liked that jacket!" 

"I'm sure it'll be fine-yoi." You puffed out your cheeks in frustration until his hand found your chin and he tilted it up for you to look at him before leaning down to press his lips to yours. The kiss between you two deepened as your arms wrapped around his neck, the sudden movement of you two slashing around the water, the occasional bubbles spilling to the floor. 

As your tongues collided, your nails gripped tightly onto your back as Marco pulled away and pressed tiny kisses along your shoulder. 

"I love you, (Name)-yoi." You giggled as you pushed yourself back, detaching his lips from your skin as you smiled and looked back at him, an idea forming in your mind. 

You scooped up some bubbles from the water, Marco watching with curious eyes as you placed the group of bubbles on the top of his head and moved closer to try to mold them in shape. The blonde cocked an eyebrow at you watched and curiously watched you play with the bubbles. 

"What are you-"

"Hush! I'm making a pineapple out of bubbles!" He couldn't help but to let out a woozy laugh. "...you're ridiculous, you know that?" You smiled as he gestured for another kiss, which you feverishly did so but careful not to knock over the pineapple shaped clump off his head. Once you pulled back he pressed a kiss to your cheek before taking a few moments just to stare into your eyes. 

"Oi, (Name) I-"
