Where do you go to look for the untranslated servamp manga chapters? There's a few things I wanna confirm but don't know where to look.
Like if Mikuni really burned down Mahiru's school, it lends credence to the Mahiru is the Count's vessel theory (why would you ever need to go to school if you're no longer your own person and also everyone's gonna die anyway)

Tsubaki tells kuro that mikuni has reset the timeline several times already. I wonder what went wrong in the other loops that made mikuni restart? Maybe misono fails to be born (which would make sense because mikuni is not mikado, how could a child between him and misono's mom ever result in misono?)

Kitty mentioned that Hokaze’s name was not only strange for a woman, but also that it was hard to find a connection with her name and the theme the rest of the Alicein have. Now I’m no expert at Japanese names (much less Japanese itself) but I had fun digging to see what I could find, and I found quite a lot! So let’s get to it :D
Interpreted to the best of my ability, Misono’s mom has a name which roughly means “one who is quick to overcome ups and downs”
Which is why she was drawn holding Jane Eyre when she and Lily met
She’s an inversion of Jane’s story, just like the Alicein brothers are an inversion of Cain and Abel
For anyone who’s never read Jane Eyre, a quick and dirty plot summary of the relevant parts is that Jane, an orphan girl, eventually ends up in the employ of a rich man who she falls in love with, however he is married and because of that, she refuses to continue their relationship. The man of the house reveals that the reason he didn’t tell her this is because his wife was insane, and she screams and barks and growls and runs around like an animal. Eventually the woman in her insanity burns down the manor, but her husband escapes and, now a widow, it would no longer weigh on Jane’s conscience to marry him. The books ends with Jane writing about how they’re expecting their first child together. The book’s themes of morality and class differences are echoed, to the result of tragedy, in the story of the Alicein
Hokaze doesn’t manage to overcome her status of being born a penniless orphan by marrying a rich man and joining the upper classes. Instead she is murdered by his wife who has been driven mad with jealousy. Her story is one of an idealistic dream, executed in a self serving manner, confronted with reality that cost her her life
Also, the 歩 part of hokaze’s name can also be read as “fu,” a pawn in shogi :))
Mikado is the emperor, kiriko is the princess, and Mikuni the kingdom they made together
Hokaze wanted to be queen but was merely a pawn, and ultimately playing a very different “game” than the royalty around her
It’s also notable that the one who put her down that path is Lily, who shares a name with the white pawn Alice takes the place of during the chess game in Through The Looking Glass.
Her scheme also gives the name she gave Misono a very different light.
She gave him a character from Mikado’s name, “proof” of his infidelity, and the one for garden, because he is the “fruit” of her labors, the beautiful rose of the future queen of Wonderland
The extreme irony here is that Mikuni is much more like Hokaze in his actions, while Misono closely resembles Kiriko’s loyalty and ability to forgive others (at the cost of himself)
Also, Mikuni is going to hate this, but
His desire to protect misono from the harsh truths of the world, even going so far as to burn down part of his own home, is… Very, very Mikado. It’s fine if he cheats, manipulates, and even hurts Misono, so long as the result is Misono continues to be able to live with such a simple and idealistic view of love and life
They look like their mothers, inherited behavior patterns from each other’s, and also share quite a lot with their father
It’s a very beautiful way of weaving them together as a family, and also Strike’s use of word play to set Hokaze apart from the Alicein cast while also giving her name something to tie her to the theme is extremely clever. Boy is it mean though xD
Thanks for reading! Lemme know what you guys think :)

Mahiru Shirota's life is going to fall apart as soon as we get any, any new information about his mother.
With chapter 136, Lily reveals to Misono that Touma Taishi is Mahiru Shirota's biological father and it was the reason why Lily had planted Kuro in that alleyway to pick up. I am inclined to believe him because it adds up in the story as a whole; Why Kuro was there in the first place since we know he had been asleep under Alicein manor for the last 200 years.
Along with the fact that Hokaze (Misono's mom) was finally revealed to be a promiscuous woman who was a very active participant in the cheating scandal, I cannot believe that Akira was in no way involved in this plot to resurrect the Count Saint Germaine. Akira may not be on the side that wants to bring him back but she was a part of it no less, we just do not know how yet. (I am figuratively biting my nails waiting to see the ball drop for her)
She was very aware of vampires, magic and mages, this is a fact not because we know that she herself is a mage, we do not know that much, but because of Tooru. He attended the same high school/prep school that Misono does that has direct ties to C3 recruitment and we know he's been involved with Touma since his days there and they fought/killed vampires since then. Along with the Shirota family no doubt being a mage family, Akira was not at all oblivious to this.
I do not, however, think that her sleeping with Touma and creating Mahiru was any plot nudged by any Servamp or like. Why?
Because Lily had genuinely believed that Touma would come to Mahiru's aid in a life-or-death situation that would have otherwise killed him, and was rather shocked when Touma tried to kill him on his own. At least according to what he told Misono. (I believe most of what he's telling Misono except that he doesn't actually care about Misono. I think he's trying to made Misono mad at him beyond reconciliation for Reasons because he's a fucking coward who, if loved properly, won't be able to go through with his and Mikuni's plans)
Anyways, the reason I say Mahiru's entire world will fall apart instead of his views of his mother is because of one specific instance in the manga; Tooru thanking Mahiru for saving Touma. Not for saving Tsurugi like Mahiru probably thinks he was saying, Touma. Because Lily's plan included Touma dying because he was so close to figuring out how they were going to revive the Count.
If Touma HAD died, the good guys wouldn't know what would be happening. Tsubaki, Envy pair and Lily would have been completely clear to start the ritual while completely blindsiding everyone opposed ON TOP of starting the ritual a day early. They'd have been a lot less prepared than they are right now. Touma was a huge danger to the ritual's success.
Tooru knows this. He knows whats happening. Yes, he's also just relieved his childhood friend and coworker isn't dead thanks to his nephew but that isn't the only reason.
Why would Tooru leave Mahiru alone with Tsubaki in the restaurant they went to? Why would Tooru pretend Kuro was a burglar when he saw him chilling in the apartment and then so quickly drop the fact that there supposedly was a burglar in the house, all when we know he must have known who Kuro was the moment he saw him. Even if this was early manga and we did not yet know he was an elite of C3!
Mahiru's entire world is going to fall apart not only because he'll learn his mother is not the woman he thought she was, but because he'll learn he's been betrayed by his uncle in a way far greater than him leaving him alone and lonely for months at a time.
Tooru knows. And has made sure Mahiru didn't under the naive guise of protecting him.

Well, Mikuni rewrote reality to where he is gonna be Misono's dad instead, and he married Misonos mom, there's also a lot of other changes, like how team M seem to have never became vampires so all of them are humans and still in their countries of origin.
Akira and Touma got married so he is an active part of Mahirus life in this world and as a result Mahiru goes to the private school Misono went to, so he never met his school friends. Due to the fact that Mikuni is Misonos father in this world Misono either isnt born yet or is really young. And Nicco is dead in this world.
The only people who seem to remember the old world is Mikuni, Tsubaki, Kuro, Jeje, Hugh, and maybe Lily.
I don't really know what's up with Lily, he only showed up for like a panel as a butterfly in the new world, but it looked like he was leaving the Alicein mansion in his butterfly from but I couldn't tell
I am not capable of taking in anything other than the first two lines, I'm. I don't think I have been this flabbergasted in a long while. That is a level of concerning that is honestly almost impressive.
I can't. Mikuni. Please. Is this a case of daddy issues (he wants to replace his father) or mommy issues (wants to marry the woman his father cheated with)? Or maybe something else entirely (brother issues??)? Everything all at once?
What was his end goal when putting himself into that position. Is this a kink thing. Please say yes this is the only way to explain this.
also go big or go home buddy couldn't you like marry your own mom? Coward. (<- That is a joke.)

Has Mikuni forgotten how genetics works? Because like he kinda needs mikados half of the DNA not that Misono's mom
I think it's best not to ask if he knows. There had to be room for all that scheming somewhere in his brain, so I can only assume he dumped out some info somewhere

I'm pretty sure that isn't what is happening, based on people I talked to on twitter it seems more like that Mikuni wishes his was Misono's dad instead of Mikado because that means that more than likely both of their mom's would live(especially Kiriko).
And either this is a result of Jeje's instability effecting him, or his plan is to use the count and control him to rewrite history. Or a combo of both
Tis why it's a theory.
I'm not trying to say that that's what's happening. It's just what my brain came up with as an explanation to recent events that made sense to me.
Only time will tell us what's truly going on in the story of Servamp.

Tumblr media
more accurately
Tumblr media
look i know many people rag on mikado (for good reason) but now with the new info, i kinda feel bad for him now
like misono's birth was already kind of planned and premeditated.
Tumblr media
so misono's mom has a name (finally), tatsunami hokaze. so idk what lily said to her but he did plant the idea into her that it would be ok to sleep with mikado.
but like WHHYYYY 😭😭😭😭

honestly? most people in the fandom probably haven't thought of misono's mother in a long, long time before chapter 136 was released
but i DO remember that when the fandom did bring her up, either in fanfic as a real character, or when they joke about how mikado is too lame to have two women vying for him, they basically treated her as... in the same boat as kiriko? you know, the legal wife who was being cheated on?
and i can see the point of view here. an innocent, naive woman, blinded by love. the only one at fault is the man who was taking advantage of the two women.
the idea of mikado being able to seduce two women is certainly against the popular fanon that is recently confirmed canon that mikado is a Huge Loser but of course the fandom immediately clung to that idea first because of the letters in lust arc implying that she was just happy to be able to love him selflessly.
see, but even if that was true? even if misono's mom was in it for love and not for the money? she still chose to pursue a relationship with a married man. if she wasn't a gold digger then she would have been an incredibly dense woman who thought everything was permitted as long as it was done in the name of true love
which was my original thought! i thought she would be someone whose head was full of fluff and flowers without thinking of the consequences!
which makes the fandom exploding when lily told misono that her mother was an ambitious woman all along kind of. you know. kinda makes me wonder if the fandom was okay with the adultery because they thought it was out of pure love? like. the adultery?
if lily confirmed that misono's mom was a gentle and loving person, would the fandom instead weep for her passing and once again not give a damn that she was mikado's cheating partner? would kiriko have been painted as a tragic villain instead of a victim?
basically, the only reason im this annoyed is because of the popular fanon that misono's mom was a virtuous woman just because the aliceins never blamed misono for what she had done
if not for that i wouldn't even bat an eyelash at people hating her

It's also possible that whatever 'curse/instability' Jeje mentioned that seems to effect his eves may also be effecting Mikuni, like a similar thing happened to his mom, like her killing Misono's mom was probably not a result of the curse due to how soon after forming the contract she did it, but her trying to kill Misono after clearly caring about him for so many years and the fact that she seemed out if it until she noticed Mikuni. The same may be happening to Mikuni now, with that curse amplifying whatever small resentment he may have towards Misono.
It wouldn't surprise me if 8 or so years is how long Jeje's eves usually last before giving into the curse.
OHHHHH you might be right I never even considered Jeje’s curse. That’s really interesting to think about actually, I wonder just what the specifics of his instability is huh. I really want to see more of Jeje and Kiriko, he seemed to really love her to the point of killing her rather than letting her commit suicide just so she could get into heaven… The greatfulness he felt towards her for being the one to free him despite his self-imposed capture and care for him the whole time despite needing to keep him hidden… It makes me wonder just how much he must have felt from what must’ve happened to his previous eves to willingly give himself up to c3 despite how they treat the vampires they’ve captured.

On a side note these two pages want to make me throw up crying I love Jeje so much he deserves so much better than what happens to him.

Servamp chapter 122 translation "Who fell off the wall?"
Tumblr media
READ CHAPTER HERE.
Although it was a short chapter it still gave me some problems regarding some dialogue which was difficult to determine just who were the subjects and had me wondering "Ok, but how did it get to this?"
Okay, so on the 2nd page I wrote another translation that was based on the words in kanji.
Tumblr media
壁の上から落ちた卵 (彼) を王様 (だれも)でも元には戻せない。
As you can see the intended readings were 彼 "him" for the word in kanji 卵 meaning "egg" and だれも which is no one/nobody in this context because we have a verb in the negative form, it would have been everyone/anyone otherwise and the word in kanji is 王様 "king".
Tumblr media
The name of Mikuni's ability "Coppelius Coppelia" is based on a ballet and you should read the story to see how it relates to the plot, because it has to do with the plan of resurrecting the Count. There is a part in the story where Dr. Coppelius, the doll maker who made Coppelia, wants to bring her to life and he needs a human sacrifice, which we already know that the entire city of Tokyo is planned to be sacrificed for the resurrection ritual and Tsurugi will become the vessel. The other reading of Mikuni's ability, I found it adapted as "Brutal Love", which might be a reference to the work of Samura Hiroaki. It's an artbook that features some disturbing depictions. I only saw a few illustrations but what I can say about "Brutal Love", is that this might connected to Lily. Everything that he does is for Misono, even if he might display yandere behavior, hence why his love can also be "brutal". However, it might also apply to Mikuni because he also wants best for Misono even though he's doing some crazy stuff.
Okay, so pages 7 and 8 is where I had problems. First of all, let's start with the fact that, we now know the name of Mikuni's mom and that's Kiriko 姫莉子. The first kanji in her name means princess.
What was troublesome was figuring out how Kiriko got Abel because Mikuni mentions how C3 purchased some items and some of them came into the possession of his mom. Note, I'm saying items, plural because it's ambiguous and the words he uses don't seem to refer to Abel specifically, so I assume he was talking about more items.
We learn that Abel was a prototype made by Youtarou (the boy from Nagano). It's a mystery if Mikuni actually met him...
Okay, so according to Mikuni, his mother was disappointed to find out that the doll wasn't a gift from Mikado. What I speculate is that Kiriko could have found the doll and assumed Mikado bought it for her. When confronted about it, Mikado could have told her that it was for her and that there was no harm in letting her keep it, at least he would know where it is and it made his wife happy. We are told about "confiscated magical items". So, was Mikado and maybe other members of C3, like maybe the Tsukimitsu family, given items to be in charge of, as in to look after them.
Kiriko somehow finds out about this (I can assume that Lily might have told her, we don't if she knows much about C3) and her disappointment must have been over the fact that the doll wasn't a genuine gift from her husband. Again, I assume that maybe Lily knew about it and he told Mikuni how Kiriko was sad about how the doll wasn't a gift.
I hope I made sense ;;
By the way, I read a tweet on Tanaka's twitter and it's possible that there might be additional pages to this chapter in the 19th volume that will be released on October 27th.

Seven Seas Daily Report On My Witch Senpai Volume 2 Review Chapter Thirty-One (Digital)
Does Mother Know Best (Witchcraft Edition)?…kinda? Turns out mom had the same problem with horny poofing as her daughter. And it seems this is all tied to get emotions for Misono. Oh really. Why thank you, Captain Obvious. We couldn’t have figured that out on our own. So here’s a weird thing. Suddenly Misono is telling the mother that her daughter can’t seem to fly anymore. What?
