IM GOING TO SING AN ENTIRE BOOK WORD FOR WORD!
This book, Circus Miradus by Cassie Beasley, has been one of my favorites for a very long time, and it got me into things like the Harry Potter series of books. This book is all about magic and miracles, and it is also really easy to read because it's more like a 4th grade reading level, but that's going to make it easy to sing. The words are bigger, so I can read them while I try to sing it. This book has around 300 pages and I truly think it would make top 10 in today's hits if I were able to sing it in tune.
BOOKWORM NOTE: This book is really fun to read for those of you who hate reading, by the way. This book got me into reading, and I think it might get others reading, too. Like I mentioned before, it is like a 4th grade reading level. It's not hard to read or understand. Also, tiny fact here the reason most people don't read is because they don't understand what they are reading, this book is not like those other books. With this one, you can easily picture the scene in your mind and wrap your head around what the book is trying to tell you. Lastly, it's good to read. Reading expands your vocabulary, making you sound very smart and creative. This is a message from a bookworm. You should listen to this bookworm.

Cassie Beasley is sick for writing books so beautiful and then dropping off the face of the earth for two years.
Like. Once upon a time, there was a boy. He's 10. His parents are dead. They died 6 years ago in a boating accident, and their son doesn't remember as well as he thinks he should. But it's ok, because he has his grandfather. Then he finds out his grandfather is dying, and he clings so desperately to hope an immortal magician can save him... All the while, his grand-aunt hates him so much that she kicks him out of the house. A literal 10 year old kid is thrown out.
And through some way or other, things work out to be ok.
Then BHAM! You get the sequel. Months have passed. The boy is growing up in a different place, and he tries to fit in, surrounded by people that seem difficult to relate to. And he slowly learns to love people. He meets someone of the past. He still has lots of growing to do, but it's ok, because he has his friend and family by his side, and in a year he learns to love someone that he never thought would ever love him like a family would.
And then, there's another story. But there's two people this time. A twelve year old boy and a girl. The boy's father is a racecar driver, and he dumps him on the doorstep of his grandmother's house in the dead of the night to race. The boy doesn't tell his father he feels like a failure. He feels like there's a gap between his father and him, and he calls him every day but never receives an answer. He dodges remarks from his relatives about his fate.
And the girl. She's just moved to a new town, in the middle of nowhere, with no way to reach her goal, and she fervently searches for ways to go back to her old life. She fights and she bickers with her mum, all the while trying to help her new friend to find a way to change his fate. Because she tries her best even if it may never work out.
And these two try their best. Things may never work out for either of them. Destiny decides their fates, but even so... They almost get blinded by tiddlywinks and race past mailboxes and swim through a swamp just for the mere chance to change what they've always been told: That their destiny is set in stone. That they shouldn't mess with the same magic their ancestors dipped their hands in, the same people that cursed generations of their children to come. But even still, they try.
Give me tales about people trying their best, give me tales about children that cling with guilt to papers and pencils because of untold memories about people that aren't here to haunt the house anymore, because the house is no longer here. Tell me stories of children they bitterly resent their destiny and would rather scream and race in shoes too dirty for them to wear but fits just right for a dash to the edge of town. Write me the truth about losing family in ways you never thought possible, and then healing with friends and newfound family you'd never thought you'd meet.
Show me villains that aren't villains at all. They're just a part of the grand scheme of things, there to observe and facilitate what they were there to do. Let them be surprised. Let them hiss and hesitate with disbelief. Then show me some that are selfish. Show me villains that deserve every bit of hate they receive because of decisions they made that ruined lives. Show me despicable villains that would throw their young sister-in-law off the roof to get rid of her.
Show me stories that are here to stay.

in light of this post i wanna talk abt my ocs names!!!! obv some of u were already here for the changes but!!!! the logic behind my da oc names hehehehe
WARDENS
Evadne (/iːˈvædniː/; Ancient Greek: Εὐάδνη): From Greek Εὐάδνη (Euadne), from εὖ (eu) meaning "good" possibly combined with Cretan Greek ἀδνός (adnos) meaning "holy".
Explanation: Felt like an unwell name for a trans Circle mage to choose for herself.
Kalyani (/kæljɑːni/; Sanskrit: कल्याणी): Means "beautiful, lovely, auspicious" in Sanskrit.
Explanation: Default Tabris is Kallian, which seems like a good Fereldan name, but I really wanted to draw on themes around belonging and identity with Kal, and so giving her a name that could be confused for Kallian was something I really wanted to do - to reflect the Anglicisation that often happens to our mothertongue names. Also, desi elves ftw.
Faris (/ˈfaː.ris/; Arabic; فارس): Means "horseman, knight" in Arabic.
Explanation: One of my favourite names.
Aedan (/ˈeɪ.dən/; Old Irish: Áedán): From the Old Irish name Áedán meaning "little fire", a diminutive of Áed.
Explanation: Literally just the default m!Cousland name because I could not be bothered.
CHAMPIONS
Lysander (/laɪˈsændə/): Latinized form of the Greek name Λύσανδρος (Lysandros), and it means "liberator".
Explanation: Pro-mage Hawke. Self explanatory (:
Miranda (/mɪ.ˈɹæn.də/): Derived from Latin mirandus meaning "admirable, wonderful". The name was created by Shakespeare for the heroine in his play The Tempest (1611), in which Miranda and her father Prospero are stranded on an island.
Explanation: I do just like the name but hmmm potentially some thoughts around mage!Hawke and Malcolm dynamics...?
Damon (/ˈdeɪ.mən/; Ancient Greek: Δάμων): Derived from Greek δαμάζω (damazo) meaning "to tame". According to Greek legend, Damon and Pythias were friends who lived on Syracuse in the 4th century BC. When Pythias was sentenced to death, he was allowed to temporarily go free on the condition that Damon take his place in prison. Pythias returned just before Damon was to be executed in his place, and the king was so impressed with their loyalty to one another that he pardoned Pythias.
Explanation: Thinking about Handers so no one talk to me rn.
Amalia (/a.ˈmaː.li̯a/; Greek; Αμαλία): Short form of Germanic names beginning with the element amal. This element means "unceasing, vigorous, brave", or it can refer to the Gothic dynasty of the Amali (derived from the same root).
Explanation: Chose this one because I wanted a warrior!Hawke, who was only ever really a warrior because of necessity. Of all my Hawkes, Mal is actually the one who adapts to being a noble well (Leandra's daughter, through and through), and so I wanted to explore different kinds of strength.
Alexis (/ə.ˈlɛk.sɪs/; Ancient Greek; Ἄλεξις): From the Greek name Ἄλεξις (Alexis) meaning "helper" or "defender", derived from Greek ἀλέξω (alexo) meaning "to defend, to help".
Explanation: Felt like a super fitting name for a red warrior Hawke tbh!!!!
Joan (/ˈd͡ʒoʊn/): Medieval English form of Johanne, an Old French form of Iohanna (Joanna). A famous bearer was Joan of Arc, a patron saint of France (where she is known as Jeanne d'Arc). She was a 15th-century peasant girl who, after claiming she heard messages from God, was given leadership of the French army. She defeated the English in the battle of Orléans but was eventually captured and burned at the stake.
Explanation: Joan is my pro-Templar Sebmancing playthrough. Of course I named her after Joan of Arc.
Maimunah (/maj.ˈmuː.nah/; Arabic: ميمونة): Means "auspicious, blessed, favourable" in Arabic, in the Malay and Indonesian form.
Explanation: Thought about Malcolm naming his tiny mage daughter and wanted to cry. Also, I've always really loved this name - I knew an adult with this name as a kid, and she was really just... I admired her so much. So why not!!!
INQUISITOR
Isra (/ʔis.ˈraːʔ/; Arabic: إسراء): Means "nocturnal journey", derived from Arabic سرى (sara) meaning "to travel at night" - refers to the Prophet's journey from Makkah to Jerusalem (Isra' and Mi'raj)
Explanation: If you know the context behind this name, then the link to the Herald is quite obvious.
Iskandar (/ʔis.ˈkan.dar/; Arabic: إسكندر): Arabic, Malay and Indonesian form of the name Alexander, which is the Latinized form of the Greek name Ἀλέξανδρος (Alexandros), which meant "defending men" from Greek ἀλέξω (alexo) meaning "to defend, help" and ἀνήρ (aner) meaning "man" (genitive ἀνδρός).
Explanation: I've talked a bit abt it before over here!
Mahanon
Explanation: Default m!Lavellan name.
Ellana
Explanation: Default f!Lavellan name.
Marya (/ˈma.rʲjə/)
Explanation: Actually, I wanted to do Arya but. Um. I accidentally. Anyway.

I'm going to reveal my OC's name, but in a slightly unusual way perhaps...
Here are some random names, but only one is the real name from the OC that I created in the Sofia The First universe.
At the end of the poll, I will reveal whether you got it right or not.
And if you want to know more about them. Maybe I can even write the reason for the choice, and a little more about this OC.
But, only if you want it, of course...
Good luck!
Abraços e beijos! (Hugs and kisses!)
PS:
@moonightsky I know you know my little secret, but let's keep it confidential. 🤫😉
Hihihihihi!

OH MY FUCKING GOD DARK ONE FORGOTTEN im fuckingf sobbing what was that. why arent people talking about that. it was so good and im gonna have a headache tonight because i cried but i don't care because i heard this story. go listen to it now
and I had it in my notes! I had this idea in my notes!! (went and checked and it's not in my notes) ok but at some point I wrote down a character who uses a curse to their advantage, and then I read alcatraz and was like oh that's not what I meant but I guess it's fun, but THIS. THIS DOES IT. SO WELL. and at some other point I wrote a short story about a functionally invisible character and that was before i read the schwa was here and this is actually one of my favorite tropes but this is the best one. this is absolutely the best one. endorsing dark one forgotten as the best functionally invisible story
went on coppermind to find the actors and coppermind forgot about them tooooo chris and sophie don't even have coppermind pages wtaf why did no one listen to this
i think its rachel jacobs and sophie oda and i can't find much info about either of them but they were boht fucking amazing. dear god thank you rachel jacobs. the number of times you said the other actors were really good and then you completely blew them out of the water. you made me tear up at least twice and the other time it was sophie oda so points to all of you
the story. can't even explain waht thsi is. true crime horror mystery fantasy? and I don't even like the first half of that sentence but I don't care because the story punched me in the gut and I didn't even need to understand the worldbuilding. chris asked questions and consulted experts and ran experiments and she got my heart. skeptical about sophie but she was there the entire time. not her project, not her obsession, not her responsibility, but she stayed, and she helped. chris and sophie said they weren't a couple and I was immediately like "yeah if they weren't both women(, bitch) that would be foreshadowing" and IT WAS FUCKIGN FORESHADOWING istg. This. This is also the best romance. And I hate romance I'm arospec lmao but dear god this got me. the sheer dedication to stare at somebody for eight god damn hours straight and then the music box scene. the music box scene. I got to it and I knew it was going to happen as soon as sophie asked but it still blew my mind and broke my heart that she did. because sophie is the best person in the world.
I have not been making sanderson reread update posts, and I read rithmatist and all of reckoners, but I'd already read most of those and there's nothing notable about lux except the plot holes and they didn't hit me hard like fucking dark one forgotten did. i barely knew this existed. It came out during the year of sanderson and yet nobody includes it in the book count. (There were 8 books/stories released, cowards, not 5.) but also I feel the need to mention that I thought dark one was quite good as well, but also that it feels like only the first chapter of a story so I can't say much else as of yet, I guess? I need more dark one. now. anything mirandus. why is nobody talking about this thing
also I feel the need to mention that there were she-ra references? like, references to the reboot, which is hands down my #2 favorite show (can't compete with dark but nothing can lol). and they were good references and they made sense. I started laughing hysterically when sophie said "hey adora". has brandon sanderson watched she-ra and the princesses of power? is this canon? I mean he definitely needs to

CHARACTER STUDY      ›      MIRANDA ROSE SALVATORE
❝  I CAN’T SEE IN HIS HEAD.  there is no colour.  it’s just a big hole.  that only happens when people are hiding things from me.  ❞
BIOGRAPHY
miranda is the daughter of louise gilbert-salvatore and damon salvatore. she was given the name miranda-rose to honor louise’s mother ( miranda ) and damon’s friend  ( rose )  in their passing.
APPEARANCE
miranda is describe as looking very sweet and innocent. she resembles her mother most, sharing louise’s soft, gentle features, oval shaped face and long, dark brown hair.  however, she possesses the piercing blue eyes of her father, damon. she is quite fair in skin tone, though this generally changes when she spends more time outside  - she’s known to get a bit more colour.  miranda has a very baby-like type look to her features which often makes her more delicate than she really is.
PERSONALITY
miranda is incredibly headstrong and courageous. she is not a fan of people telling her what she can and can’t do and will often go out of her way to prove them wrong.  she is incredibly kind, with a heart that no doubt mirrors her mother. while mostly sweet, miranda can get a bit of a temper at times.  she’s inherited her father’s sarcasm and snark -  she tends to push people’s boundaries without even realising it.
NAME
miranda is derived from latin mirandus meaning ’ admirable, wonderful ’ .  the name was created by shakespeare for the heroine in his play the tempest ( 1611 ) , about a father and daughter stranded on an island.  it did not become a common english given name until the 20th century.  this is also the name of one of the moons of uranus, named after the shakespearean character.
rose is derived from the latin ’ rosa ’ , the name of a fragrant flower.
salvatore is of italian origin and means ’ saviour ’

My name Miranda was also created by Shakespeare, from "mirandus", for his character in "The Tempest".
fun fact there were at least two people named lancelot recorded in the 1292 paris census so I think we know what the 13th century equivalent of naming your kid sasuke was

Any thoughts about metal? And generally just dad Lee? :D
i will give you my answer with this: i have not one, not two, but three separate metal-origin theory fics. im very normal about dad!lee and also dad!gaara ok. normal. 64,000 words and counting normal. its fine
[also i've just realised i have more unpublished bapeyfic than i do published. march of progress is only 28k. the other two are 32k (if it's the last night of your life) and 3k of a can-kel-write-short-form-fic wip (tentatively titled lex mirandus), respectively. wot]
that being said, i exist in a weird space where i refuse to acknowledge bort as canon because everything i see about it gives me the ick, so i like the concept of metal but not so much the execution? i think he's a cute kid canonically, but i think--and this extends to all the canonverse kids--all bort did was regurgitate their parents with slight character design changes, and i think that is so gd boring like. sure kids look like their parents but come tf on. an ounce of creativity i beg ye
i also think bort did lee so dirty on parenting. i don't agree with what i've seen of characterising him, i think lee would probably be a slightly nervous but very encouraging and motivating parent, emulating gai's encouragement of him. none of this "let's fight in front of an audience bc you have anxiety" crap please if i were metal i'd just die? on the spot? ugh
tldr: love the concept of both, hate the canonical execution of both. also all my metals have green eyes now courtesy of this mop art by thanh requirings thank u
