Four years later, in May 1973, I did go alone to that station. I wanted to see that dog. In preparation, I shaved, donned a necktie for the first time in six months, and put on a new pair of cordovan shoes.

I was always hungry for love. Just once, I wanted to know what it was like to get my fill of it — to be fed so much love I couldn’t take any more. Just once.

bookish asks: 2, 13, 14, 30, 35 and 36. Thank you!
Thank you for asking! ♥
2. What are yu currently reading?
"South Of The Border, West Of The Sun" by Mirakami Haruki
13. Name a book with a really bad movie/TV adaptation.
☆ THE VAMPIRE DIARIES!!! INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (fight me on this one, idc xD)!!!
14. Name a book where a movie/TV adaptation was actually better than the original.
☆ I'm going to get so hated on, but "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" qualifies for this. Also "Mortal Instruments" movie, even tho the main cast looks almost nothing like in the books, AT LEAST SIMON ISN'T AS STUPID AS IN THE BOOKS. And there is less romance, which is good.
30. Who is your favourite author?
☆ This is a tricky one for me because I have a hard time focusing on just one author, but I will have to go with Antoine De Saint-Exupery because "The Little Prince" is the only book in my life which I have read more than 2 times and fell in love again and again. (I read it 4 times)
35. Name a book you consider to be terribly underrated.
☆ "A Teaspoon Of Earth And Sea" by Dina Nayeri!!! "Gospoda Glembajevi" by Miroslav Krleža!!! HONORE DE BALSAC'S WORK IN GENERAL.
36. Name a book you consider to be terribly overrated.
☆ Oh boy where do I begin?I nominee:ALL Harry Potter books,"The Alchemist" from Paulo Coehlo,ALL FIFTY SHADES OF GREY,aaaaaaaaand idk of I can count this- HUNGER GAMES! (I didn't like the movie one bit, and since it's apparently pretty accurate to the source material, I don't even want to read the book...)

Hey! I want to recommend some Books and I hope you’ll do the same for me! Warning tho: these are quite erotic, not too much just mentions of sex and private parts. - Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami This one is really simple actually, a simple story with a simple plot to follow. - Kafka on the shore by Haruki Mirakami again This one is a bit, actually a lot more complicated, but it’s fun, you’ll have to pay attention to every single detail, and probably read twice or thrice to fully grasp +
Fully grasp the plot. - After dark by guess who? Haruki Murakami Simple plot but heavy stuff happening in here, there is no end to the story at all, just a night being narrated by a third point of view. - 1984 by George Orwell Beautiful, captivating, I love it 100/10 - It’s kind of a funny story by Vizzini Tackles real life issues and depression, also warning if you’re kind of delicate with this stuff, the start is rough but it gets better I promise. - The outsiders by S E Hinton Really good +
As I was saying, really good plot and it like draws you in form the start, I cried honestly. -To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee Again shows real life issues even if they’re a bit late but still issues. Another story that draws you in from the start and leaves you in suspense, distracts you from the original question and mystery at the start and blows you away In the end. All of this in the eyes of a child. Anyways that’s it! Hope you can’t also recommend me some books!
Ooooo I’ve never read anything by Haruki Murakami so thank you for the recommendation!!! The others are some of my absolute favorite books so it seems we have similar tastes in reading!!! Alright now for some recs for you :)
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers - A seriously captivating book about a deaf-mute and the people that he encounters. It talks a lot about moral isolation and really goes into depth about the characters in the book
A Good Man is Hard to Find by Flannery O’Connor - Okay this one is actually a short story BUT it’s absolutely amazing. Flannery O’Connor is such an amazing storyteller in all of her short stories. This one specifically focuses on characters that are morally flawed and how their differences cause them to be at odds with each other but I highly recommend reading her other stories too
All About Love by Bell Hooks - This one (at least to me) is especially interesting because it talks about how love isn’t something that just happens, but how it’s a choice. It made me think a lot about my views on love because I personally believe that love isn’t always a choice, but it also talks about the role of love in our lives and how best to cultivate it. A really great read
Aaaand that’s all I can think of right now. I hope that you like these books!!! :)

Resenha: Sono - Haruki Mirakami
Resenha: Sono – Haruki Mirakami
