Some Miqo'te questions for... reasons...

Is miqo'te head hair and ear fur the same thing? Or are they completely different textures/types of hair?

How much control do miqo'te have over their tails? Obviously cats don't have prehensile tails like monkeys, so presumably they can't pick things up or manipulate things with their tails in that way, but can they wrap them around things or swish them at will?

Do they molt? Or does the hair on their ears and tail fall out in the same way as human hair? Is there any seasonal impact on their level of shedding?

How sensitive are their tails? Presumably they can feel them being stroked, but are they quite robust? I daresay pulling on them would not be good (as well as being very rude), but I imagine baby miqo'te probably pull on and even inquisitively chew on each others tails in play?

Is miqo'te hearing better or worse than human (Hyur) hearing? I suspect it's probably better than Roegadyn or Au Ra hearing, but worse than Elezen or Lalafells, but that's purely a guess.

Battle Armour glam for Dawntrail. Let me see yours!

This is the first expansion where I crafted all of my raid, DoL and DoH gear! Also gathered and made food and potions too! (Well, anything gathering that didn't involve fishing) I'm very proud of myself. Doing all of that was very refreshing and rewarding. I think I might level my crafters and gatherers first, instead of doing MSQ for Dawntrail. I always do MSQ first, but this is the first time I've considered doing this.

Also I wonder if I should stock up on Revised Engineering and Revised Survival Manuals anyway? Or just wait until we get newer one(s)? for Dawntrail? Since those two manuals' effects will be halved at level 80 and above.

Headcanon Meme ♛: If your muse had to die, how would they like to go? And if they could come back as a person or animal, what would it be? I know I've answered this sort of question before, but Tumblr's search is broken af, so here we go again - just not something boring! She chased death for a long time, and only stopped bc she essentially met someone just like her in a partner, and they both had a death wish - and gave up on it in part because of how it would affect the other person, and they wouldn't want to inflict that on each other; living is the hardest thing to do, after all. That said... she tends to avoid needless violence because it can get you fatally injured or killed, but I guess she'd still want to go out in some exciting, or violent fashion. Not at the hands of a Garlean, for sure - but IDK, really. She spends most of her time cleverly avoiding death and removing any unnecessary risks to her person, so she doesn't really think about how she'd 'like' to die. But dying in your sleep sounds boring! Maybe on a cool hunt, or something.

She's also never thought about coming back, and wouldn't really have an opinion on it - it's not like she has any control over what happens once she's dead, after all! She'd probably just say 'not as an animal' because... she's not terribly fond of animals. Animals are food, and she doesn't want to be 'food' in her next life.

I answered this one here - I actually just reblogged it yesterday! The answer hasn't changed since then. She's not stupid enough to lie to herself about her own strengths and weaknesses... that kind of behavior gets you dead. Plus, she believes in constant self-betterment... and you can't achieve that if you're lying to yourself about your own capabilities. Anyone who pretends to be something they're not, or to be good at something they're not... is the sort that's easy prey, to her, and would be viciously mocked and humiliated for her own amusement - so she's not doing that, herself.

As I wrote in this other post yesterday:

"At the end of the day, Jak is uniquely honest with everyone, but...especially with herself. She's cognizant of her strengths and weaknesses and admits most of them, because... only a fool denies the truth of a thing."

Fluffcember Day 19, Wilderness:

G'raha – if he can even think of himself that way anymore – thought that the planning may have all been worth it, just for little moments like these. Yes, there were other, far more important things at stake but… accompanying S'ria out on a brief foray through Lakeland following the defeat of that first Lightwarden was the sort of pleasant thing he'd let himself think about in exhausted moments over the last century.

It wasn't a date – and he had to not think of it like one – but he had the opportunity to chat freely with his beloved Warrior of Light (and of Darkness), watching him pick his way gracefully over tree roots. As uncomfortable as having his ears pinned down and tail hidden felt, it was nice to not have them immediately betray his feelings. G'raha – Exarch? – had long since grown accustomed to the sights of Lakeland, but watching S'ria take in the pale lavenders he'd not yet gotten used to made the Exarch feel as though he was looking at it fresh again.

S'ria was twitchy around him and he hated the need for secrecy, hoping that S'ria would've been more comfortable if his identity was shared. (He hoped that S'ria did not mistrust G'raha Tia for how things had ended.) Of course – S'ria was worse than his already anxious introduction to The First, and the Exarch would have to be far less observant than he was to miss that something bad had clearly happened during his trip with Alphinaud – but prying would not help, and for small mercies S'ria seemed a bit more at peace out in the trees and the fresh air.

He seemed content both to listen to the Exarch speak and to quietly tune in to the sound of rustling leaves. For now, they both just took a moment to sit out there instead of returning and watched the stars rise again in darkening skies – unfamiliar yet familiar constellations.

(Later, the Exarch would realize that he'd possibly given too much away, by not summoning a light to walk back, knowing they could both see without it.)

What role in the tragic play are you?

Sami'a Nightingale: misunderstood villain

Prepare for an onslaught of both the most dehumanizing and hateful takes, and flood of thirst comments. You are chronically misunderstood. Whether or not you're actually evil is debatable. You may be acting out for revenge, to defend someone you love, or even just to protect yourself. You're a pretty jaded person. You don't trust or even really like most people. Maybe you did at one point. But that part of you is gone, and you don't go a single day without grieving it. You think a lot about what your life could have been. You're stuck in the past. You're angry and maybe you don't even want to be, but this is the only way you can see to survive. You're open, but less in a trusting way and more like a wound. You don't like to let people see you, but the hurt spills out of you before you can stop it. You're impulsive, even as you try hard to plan and prepare. Maybe someday your side of the story will finally be heard. Until then, you can convince yourself that being hated is safer anyway.

Poor Nightingale, their innermost insecurity ripped open and put on display for all to see. The life they could have lived with their tribe is never far from their mind. A life where their conjury lead them to be the priestess for Menfina, healing the ails accrued by the tribes hunters. A life where they could fall in love, and know only the hardships of living. A life that was taken from them when their community turned their backs on them, labeling them a 'cursed child' and then exiled to starve alone in the Shroud. A life where they could have grown up surrounded by love, instead of being labeled a wild pest who's sole crime was wanting to survive another day on the outskirts of Gridania after their world ended.

Until then, you can convince yourself that being hated is safer anyway.

Sami'a "Green Eyes" Nightingale. The Alliance's pet demon. Menphina's loyal hound Dalamud incarnate. Or so they would have their enemies believe. During the Ala Mhigan and Doman Wars of Liberation, they realized that their legend among the Garlean rank and file preceded them, and some soldiers would sooner run for the hills than be forced to face them down. At the time it proved useful, and afterwards they took no small effort to culivate those rumors for future conflicts. Thing is, they were probably a little too successful. They see it in the people they meet and call allies: the small spark of fear buried deep within their eyes and the tenseness of shoulders as if they were a savage beast who could attack at any time. "Oh well," they reason for their own sanity. "At least I'm still (mostly) seen as a beacon of hope to the hopeless..."

Anonymity certainly has its perks. Though they may not command instant respect, at least they treated for who they are and not their legend.

1. What’s their love languages?

G'raha is definitely a quality time boy - anytime spent traveling or relaxing at home, as long as they're together he's happiest. And Q'ihnn is a bit more of a words of affirmation guy - being The Warrior Of Light and savior of the planet several times over is cool, but it hits different when the person you love most reminds you about the things they love about you.

2. Do they have a dynamic trope? (enemies to lovers, sunshine x grumpy, etc?)

Is "friends to lovers to bitter exes to ??? to one is basically dead to one sided love to married" a trope? ...not really? We'll go with slow burn soulmates then.
