—If I'm being real it’s a little goofy,, maybe it’s the stripes

—It’s funny that this is one of his less revealing outfits, and it’s at a point where he hates Chase (having your boobs out as a metaphor for trust or something)

when characters who are blind make eye contact with someone they should not be able to see. Similarly, when characters in the dark make eye contact with someone hidden in the shadows whom they by all accounts shouldnt know is there.

i just watched Endgame so this is on my mind but the scene where Steve (spoilers ig) holds mjolnir for the first time. 10/10 the most attractive in existence the Cinematic Symbolism

This extends from my wearing my grandfathers dog tags to Māori face tattoos to Mandalorian armor colors. I want to live in a world where people are more used to the idea of carrying ones history and soul in ones physical appearance. It’s neat (incredibly compelling and I respect it a lot) it’s also pretty :)

Marathoned through what I can find of season 2, here's my thoughts so far:

Nichelle is a queen, an icon, literally the first total drama character to show self-improvement and character growth without being an antagonist. Can't wait to see her continue to show up everyone, though I wish we got to see her form actual friendships instead of just girlbossing 24/7.

Mkulia is more canon than literally all of the relationships. They're so fun to watch as antagonists, and I can't wait to see where the cheating arc goes. The fact that they've shared confessions since they formed their alliance? The lesbians are eating good this season. Also Julia in particular is just really well written and voice acted? She sounds like an actual teenager her age. It's 👌 chefs kiss.

Speaking of the cheating arc, the rift between Bowie and Raj because of the team's under-the-table methods is such an on-the-nose way to play it. The "boyfriend kisser" arc of World Tour handled a literal cheating scandal super poorly, but this season is handling its' 'cheating' scandal really well in terms of how it dissolves trust in a relationship. Can't wait for Bowie's guilt to reach it's apex, we never know what he'll do when it does.

Raj really does see the best in Bowie, unfortunately his glasses are a little too rose-tinted to see that Bowie is more than happy to continue enabling Julia and MK, so long as they keep winning. I'm not sure if this will lead to a breakup or a heart-to-heart, honestly this series could go either way, but it isn't called Total Drama for no reason. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll work out.

Another relationship I unfortunately saw coming from a mile off is RipAxel, though I can't say I'm upset about it. A lot of people saw Axel as queer, myself included, and Ripper is, well, Ripper. But they had a season one Duncney vibe going on in Axel's brief run last season. Something about the misogynistic guys (Ripper called himself an alpha at one point?) and the competitive latinas 🤷‍♀️.

Their actual dynamic this season is different enough from what I thought it'd be that it's refreshing. I guess it works in a very Roger and Jessica Rabbit type of way (if Jessica Rabbit was a butch teenager), and if you're third eye is opened enough to see it as yuri it's a win. (The poetry scene was really sweet, in a way.)

Prialeb came out of nowhere though. For a character who was essentially a Justin clone last season, I really do like the direction Caleb's character is going in. He's got that competitive mindset, and is trying to flatter Priya into an alliance by being friendly/flirty, but the narrative doesn't really make it clear if he's aware that he's manipulating her Alejandro style or if he really is just oblivious enough to see his approach as platonic/friendly. Holding out for some aro or ace (or aroace 🤭) representation with Caleb if they go with the second narriative, but the "only ever had one girlfriend" line hints more towards him being gay than ace.

I'm predicting Priya's foil being her crush of Caleb. It's gonna lead to her elimination. I love the fact that that, despite being hypercompetent thanks to her upbringing, she's terrible with things like relationships and feelings.

I'm super happy that Emma and Chase ended things again. They're terrible for each other. Also, Emma was way less likable this season? IDK if that's just me. Chase was never likable but he's at least funny to watch, especially when he's taking Ls.

Lauren's antagonist arc is brewing at Playa Des Losers (if that's still a thing?) so she's definitely coming back in the merge Izzy style. That, or she'll pull an Ezekiel and sneak back onto the island.

Millie's brief character arc about learning not to take advantage of people was cute, if undeveloped, but I can't say I liked her this season. Damien didn't deserve what she did, but he did need the reality check it gave him. And some therapy to help his fear of everything- the guy's an anxious wreak, and it's not so much endearing as it is pitiful to watch.

Wayne and Raj are my two beautiful sons who deserve the world. Zee has been delightful as always. No need for elaboration.

Chris is delightful this season. All of his lines are great, and what little we see of Chef is golden too. Good job to the writing team for our favourite geriatric couple.

My only real gripe with this season, which has been more and more apparent since season 1 back in 2007, is that the characters don't really feel like they're in a summer camp. Back in the OG island we had character interactions and dynamics outside of challenges that helped set the tone of the series; it felt like they really were teenagers at a summer camp, the challenges and eliminations came second to the character plotlines.

Whereas now, most of every episode is based in the challenge itself. Every elimination is based around something that character does during a challenge. Most meaningful interactions happen during a challenge. It feels more like a gameshow than the reality tv it's supposed to imitate. The only non-competition based conflict we get to watch is Emma and Chase's thing, which is more akin to influencers beefing than two teenagers at a camp having a rocky relationship (see: Duncney S1, Gwent S2 briefly, whatever happened with Gwourtney). I wish we got to see more of the character as they are, than the characters while they're actively in a challenge.

Antagonists

P.I.E. - Peace Intergalactic Expansion. the micromanaging intergalactic republic government. they used to be better, but in the last couple of decades they were slowly taken over by their "all life and everything must be perfect and pristine" science division.

Black Holes - space pirates that are the extreme opposite of PIE. they claim to be the resistance and rebellion against PIE, but they're not much better in the long run, hurting whoever they need to without remorse to get what they want.

Plot

A bunch of criminals are hired for a job by PIE, the Peace Intergalactic Expansion of the galaxy. The job is top secret, and all they know is that PIE wants them to retrive some kind of weapon- but if they do follow through, their records will be clean and they'll get a thick paycheck. The rag tag team thrown together for this one job hate each other, but they figure a paycheck is a paycheck and decide to tolerate it for this one job.

But as they continue on their job, the crew starts to think something is off. The Black Holes offer them something huge to bring them the weapon instead, and no one even knows what this weapon actually is. Meanwhile PIE is breathing down their necks, reminding them constantly what will happen if they fail or try to betray the huge organization.

Then they find the weapon, and it seems that maybe no one should have the weapon. And that weapon isn't really a weapon at all.

Extra Stuff

Specifics on Corie's cyborg parts: her right eye, right arm from the elbow down, and her left leg from the knee down are prothstetics. She lost her leg to a job that went sideways, and her eye and arm to pirates attempting to exact their revenge on her.

^^^ The arm does have a laser gun attachment and her eye does have a little interface with aiming and targeting

NOVA's model was originally going to be a new line of military androids for PIE, but Nova- the first prototype of her line- failed all her diagnostic tests and they had her scrapped and abandoned the project

The ship they use and fly around in is an old military battle cruiser- called the Fifty-five Utility Battle Starcruiser, or the FU-BS. (I'm think i'm hilarious)

Hades's powers are mainly telekenisis, but he will straight up catch on fire or freeze everything within five feet of him if he's angry and throws a big enough tantrum

Astra and Nova have a rivals to lovers romance that's mainly in the background and for comedy purposes

Pandora and Aries have a kind of cute and fluffy friends-to-lovers romance happening in the background too

Dlakoonians and Alltinians are two alien specis in my worldbuilding that I'm currently working on developing

I took a ton of inspiration for this WIP from the Mandalorian and Guardians of the Galaxy. PIE is based on the Xandarians in GotG and The Black Holes are based on the Ravagers. The plot is inspired by the first two seasons of the Mandalorian (with my own fun additions and twists of course!)

Knox used to be named Lannie but that name was too close to a character from another WIP so I changed it

Truth to be told Jesse didn’t even realized he has been seeing the world differently than other people

Dude spent a good part of his life thinking that marriage is very much just Something You Do™️, like a SOP of life

✔️girlfriend ✔️house✔️marriage ✔️kids

And then he grown up (or so he thought) and decided that spending his time going on crazy adventures was more fun than spending time to find a girlfriend (it’s so much work why bother)

Then immortality hit so the whole love/marriage whatnot got ignored even more

What’s the point of falling in love if you would always outlive your lover?

(Did 19th century ppl do hookups? Idk, but that didn’t really cross Jesse’s mind)

The other Tucks thought it’s just a decision that came with immortality, but yeah this was very much Not A Thing Jesse was dealing with

He did wondered about the whole love thingy after a few decades, but always came to the conclusion that It Is Not Cool (Look at Miles)

He can’t even really have long term friends without revealing his secret let alone significant others

It wasn’t until he met Winnie that the whole thing was brought back to focus

Long term companionship with a girl and they vibe together? Sounds like marriage

He asked Winnie to wait because let’s face it, a teenager dragging a child all around the world is absolutely insane and would raise so much suspicion and attention

The Tucks didn’t know about the proposal until a few years later

The whole Winnie thing was bought back up and Miles and Jesse were having an argument, Miles was saying something about two people being suspicious and Jesse let it slipped and said something like “Not if we’re married.”

The family was shocked and pissed and Jesse was reasoning that he actually thought things through and about being less suspicious and convenient

It went on for a while between “She was a child!” “She might change her mind and don’t want to be with you.” and “It’s more convenient.” smt like that

And then someone (probably Mae or Angus) was like wait Jesse did you not see about the commitment after marriage and whatnot

Jesse was like 👁️👄👁️ but we’re besties it’s platonic it’s for traveling why would you think that 👁️👄👁️ it’s just a fake label👁️👄👁️

And then the four of them had an Oh Something Was Up moment (Also Jesse probably stormed out so)

The whole thing was put on the back burner again, Jesse eventually had a talk with Miles and got it figured out and came out to the whole family

There were obviously not much resources and labels

(They blame the water for a hot minute but well the other three don’t have this thingy so clearly not the right direction)

But yeah eventually Jesse was pretty okay with it

Hobie honestly gives me the vibes of the (older) aroace-spec friend who's just here for the show.

He helps Pav tease Miles & Gwen, and returns the favor with Pav & Gayatri, but Hobie himself has absolutely zero interest and more or less just watches them because technically free entertainment and makes sex jokes/joking flirts just for the hell of it!!! He's not bullying his friends, he just doesn't get how romance/sex works and instead devotes his time to dismantling capitalism while his friends are being all lovey-dovey

Oh My GoD YES!! thank you! I love this so much don’t ever be sorry yes send me things!! I do have to be honest with you though I don’t know all the gender things. I’m still learning about them so bear with me on that thought. 🫶😅

Ok let’s start with Zoe the Queen! - I personally see her as bi myself because in the show, she does have her little crushes, but she’s so flirty with the girls it’s so cute! oh I see ok yeah that makes a lot of sense too anon I like that umbrella term for her that so good honestly YES to this!!

- oh hohoho YES she loves everyone! I personally have had penny Ling in this category because she already has that personality to me but I can’t totally see pepper just being happy and being so chill and open about her dating life like she just vibes with anyone so her dating pool is HUDGE that second one just makes me think of her and Zoe that makes me so happy you don’t even know they spend so much time together anyway she knows her so well but I have also started to see more of her and minka being something more? That for another time though 💕 perfect anon perfect!

- The man of the hour now we all know this man is not straight so that first one just hits just right right on the money!! I’ve been seeing more people, head canon or draw him as trans and I have been on board with it just because it makes so much sense and he would just look so good even as a woman and his friends would be so supportive, and that just makes me so happy to see they’d see it coming from a mile away. The interest in different fashions, the make up, the long hair i’d also like to think that if there was a name change, Vanessa would be it because it’s so close anyway. 😊 or to be punny vinessa hehe.

- again this fits her she just likes anyone but yes minka would rather just like you she doesn’t really need intimacy to express that just having a lot of friends is enough for her happiness! Trans minka! It makes sense just like vinnie’s does! Everyone would support her through everything especially her bestie penny! What you’ve said so far just makes so much sense and now I think I love trans minka and much as vinnie ♥️

- again I personally had canon him as bi or gay so to me this this makes me so happy! I had to look this up to make sure I remembered correctly what it stood for and I have to agree with you again, because in all honesty, Sunil is one of those characters that I could see who would change themselves up, just depending on how they feel and I love that because Sunil can definitely be anything and it makes me so happy. what influenced me the most on this is also seeing him drawn as a her and realizing that they both look spectacular and I can’t help but hope that it keeps happening. I’d also like to hope that it would be an amazing confidence booster!

-for Russell I could see pan he definitely would just be fine with anyone as long as they loved him this second one though! I love this because he’s so caring and loving and motherly in his own way. I’ve always felt he has such strong feelings for the people he cares about, but he doesn’t know how to express them very much. It’s not necessarily a romantic attraction. This canon makes me happy because it fits him so well, especially in the show and just his personality in general like AAAAjgitrkckgkrofjcgkgk (my happiness) once I read it the Demi boy term is also him no one can change my mind now it fits its perfect and makes me happy!!

- and last penny the sweetest thing! bi penny yes of corse she deserves this title honestly because she is so flirty and so sweet I couldn’t see her being able to pick feelings for one or the other anyway so she just has both 😅 YES just like Russell her love is endless and platonic she just LOVES and her friendships mean the world to her!! See this one I haven’t thought about either, but I can see her being that and being kind enough to explain it to complete strangers, who ask I just love this for them so much!!! You don’t even know!!

these were made for the Elysium intro so technically this is out of chronological order of. everything. but also before i start posting comics i want to give a good visual on who these guys are! also hey these are all the guys that were relevant to the askblog (besides Shadow), nice

(oh my god i just realized i didn't actually put Sik in Elysium. i mean he's in the bit in the second half where it's flashing through everybody but i didn't put him in the actual intro with everybody else.. sorry buddy, Double's the more important custom hero i guess lmao)

Sonic the Hedgehog: you know her, you love her, she's transgender now! 19-ish as of Forces, aroace, personality and vibe same as always, nothing gets her down. the big plot twist with her is that she's an artificial life form like Shadow and was engineered with an aptitude for chaos energy, but she does her best to shrug off the implications.

Miles "Tails" Prower: sonic's adopted little brother, 17-ish as of Forces, transgender (this will be a theme), low self-confidence despite his intelligence and his ability to hold his own. a LOT of things happen to him, uh- Colors, Chronicles, and Lost World kinda got slammed together into one story arc, so he got halfway roboticized AND blasted with negative color until he was able to break out of the brainwashing. he hasn't found a way to undo the roboticization yet.

Amy Rose: i love amy so much but i don't know how to accurately capture her vibe. 18-ish as of Forces, she had a crush on sonic but has eased off on it and now they are comfortably friends (even if she can still be a bit much at times), she does tarot, i think the most that got changed is her design tbh

Knuckles the Echidna: straightforward-thinking treasure hunter, dealing with responsibility of guarding the master emerald vs him finally having an opportunity to explore the outside world, 20-ish as of Forces, got tormented a bit in the askblog

Shadow the Hedgehog: nonbinary alien hedgehog clusterfuck my beloved. they/them, actually somewhat chill underneath all the edge, technically Sonic is a knockoff of them, still has a pretty shaky sense of identity, at one point jorb helped me figure out what ShTH story path would be most canon for them but i don't want to find it rn

Daedalus "Double" Perrow: first of many OCs! maned wolf, 17-ish (?) as of Forces, more on him later because a lot of the comics so far involve him lmao. fills in 1/2 of the custom hero role in Forces (did the prison break, teams up directly with modern sonic, has past history with Infinite) and gets nicknamed "Gadget" by sonic. trans of gender

Wayne "Infinite" Bay: whoops i took an oc and accidentally spliced him into being infinite. double's friend, 19-ish as of Forces, got kidnapped and experimented on by eggman. the askblog plotline was building up to double trying to find and save him because they were friends before wayne got corrupted by the phantom ruby, but my energy fizzled out before that could get anywhere

favorite oc — I do not have one, I love and hate all of them equally (lying)

newest oc — Satori Luong, a Spider-'Sona' who also is known as "Kumo" or "Spider Hunter". They personally call themselves the "Average in Intelligence Spider" when put up against the wall with all the others as they're no genius in any field except for combat and observation. Unable to websling organically, they also never developed any tech to aid them nor can they stick to surfaces, and didn't even realize they were a "super' until Miguel O'Hara showed up. they just assumed their spider-sense was luck and their strength was because their parkour and strength training paid off.

oldest oc — probably a warrior cats or rainbow fairy oc? honestly, I can't remember anything earlier the end of middle school-start of high school era.

meanest oc — Orcin Nauta (SW) hands down. He's a gang boss based off of the Orca Whale, aka the bully of the ocean. He's mean and vicious and also 16 fucking feet tall with a gang family that spans the entire galaxy.

softest oc — Persephone "Seph" Spring (PKMN) probably. Very kind, very gentle, very patient. The perfect balance for her rough-and-tumble cowboy mining boss of a husband tbh

most aloof / standoffish oc — Emilia Lynx (COD, FMAB) without a doubt. It's the trauma babyyyy.

dumbest oc — Ajal Agni (BNHA). Have you seen your foreign-born janitor stick his hand straight into boiling water? WOULD YOU LIKE TO?

smartest oc — Kori Hayashi (Standalone). She's kept her organization at the top of the underground chain for a while, after all. She knows how to play the game, knows which cards to reveal, knows how to keep her men in line, and when to let them loose.

horniest oc — Hakra Dorgoa. I will not explain further than Man Is He Glad That He's Got Strong Mental Walls And Shielding As A Member Of The Temple Guard Or Else Everyone Would Know He's Down Bad For Eeth Koth

oc i’d bang — in reality, none because I'm AroAce, but metaphorically? Ban Sult (SW) because he'd treat me right. Someone had to give Plo Koon unwanted but appreciated and used romantic tips between teaching him how to blast lightning.

oc i’d be besties with irl — Gelaisa Kaliope and Miles "Millie" Shira (Fate). They are two of the most laid-back and chill characters in my folders and have a sick music taste. ngl, they'd probably also just let me nap in a pile of blankets and also under them. Can't have one without the other though.

Orsinio: Poison. From the beginning I knew he was a subtle, sneaky person who lacked physical strength, and his dangerous stat came from being an expert poisoner. It was a delightful coincidence how Nemesis went.

Samuel: Harpoon. He's a monster hunter with a long history of zailing.

Lucretia: Honestly idk? She's not a physical person. If she's upset she'll throw a punch. And she's a doctor, so she'd always have a scalpel on her person.

Miles: Charms. They're dangerous when it comes to manipulating people with spellbinding words. If it has to be a physical weapon, a dagger strapped to their thigh. They've never used it on anyone though, I don't think, just when the weeping scars thing happened.

Skies captain: Gun. A pistol is practical in the close quarters they spend most of their time in.

11. what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?

Oh boy. Well let's start this off by saying all my little guys are morally gray and I would not make the same choices they do on a regular basis sldkfjsdl, also I am in therapy whilst these guys are in the Victorian era

Orsinio is my main and very special to me lol, he gets my disabilities, adhd struggles, and trans of gender. Also being short. And enjoying Mr Wines. He's the one that when I'm having a bad day I put in the wriggler

Samuel gets the autism wins, he embodies my desire to communicate without speaking, also the inherent gender of being a dad

Miles. What is going on with you, Miles. Very little in common with them, I made them intentionally to be a villain. I suppose there is some emotion there with complex feelings about family legacy but Miles has it taken waaaay to the extreme. And I did also make them to be very gender

Lucretia gets my complex feelings about being AFAB (I'm trans, she isn't) and feeling a connection to traditional femininity and attraction* towards men (*in the most aroace and bi sense for me, whilst the character is het-ace)

Skies Captain is also short. A bit of wish fulfillment, gets to feel comfortable in their transmasc/nonbinary gender while presenting femininely from time to time, and has their emotions taken seriously despite not being very expressive

Bonus: Horatio is Orsinio's older brother and gets the mental eelness with the multifaceted anxiety disorder

Would get along with Samuel and Lucretia and see them as cool older friends. Honestly could go many directions with Orsinio with his intense personality, but at the very least we'd be nice research partners and bond over world being inaccessible and whacking people with cane. And I would punch Miles within 30 seconds of meeting (almost everyone they meet has that response). Would vibe with skies captain, we'd exchange poetry.
