Dracula but it's a Smiler au where Dr Seward works for the ministry and Renfield is a smiling advocate. Dracula is Dr Kelman (and I'm not sure how that fits exactly but Kelman gives Dracula vibes so just roll with it idk)

okay, so, i just realized i never said this, but if i ever reblog something from you and you want me to take it down, please do just shoot me an ask explaining which post it is and like. try to make it clear that's what you're getting at (ie, if you just send me "fuck you never reblog my stuff i hope you die" i am not going to understand that inherently as a request and more of as a dick move)
because, genuinely, i don't wanna be reblogging something that you're uncomfortable with and if i ever fail to read the room, it's probably a mistake and i would love for you to tell me that i made one.

everyone on this site needs to read this thread and realize that they've been fucking racist and ignorant about the pokemon mythology leaks. seriously, everyone on the internet took a poorly google translated bunch of stories very obviously based on not just japanese mythology, but mythology of various cultures the world over and decided to try and cancel one of the biggest franchises on earth over shit they didn't even try to understand.

and to think I'm still considering extending the intro blurb to cover Rook reaching the ritual site...
Tumblr media
#half tempted to include a little chunk (for me) of someone breaking into Renn's room to try to kill her after the botched job#just to Fucking Die to the amount of poisonous plants they'd have to crawl over to reach her bed#but I like running with the idea that the de Riva apartments are fairly hush hush so someone finding her there while she's in time out is..#not in line with that idea#also I don't even know what Houses would go after a lackey of a Talon like that (we don't even Know what other Houses are in Treviso)#me: the is a slowburn Lucanis fic#also me: the first section (maybe two!) do not have anything about Lucanis in them#more apt to call it a fic about the Crows and my de Riva Rook getting kicked out for a year#but I think it's going to honestly go from Renn leaving for the ritual site immediately to the Ossuary section lmao#like what's between that? running around Arlathan and getting the dagger??#I don't super care to establish the relationships between Rook and the Girls that specifically#and there's glimpses (and better bonding imo) in the stuff I've already written and have planned#need to go poke my beta reader again because like unless I cave and add in the bar scene I'm working on to it#then the first chapter of the fic is done???#gotta figure out if I'm posting it here and then reblogging it to my writing blog for archiving or vice versa#people followed this blog because of the tidbits I was sharing and I Do Not need people following my writing blog#just because I might post the fic there#it's weird idk I don't use the writing blog much because nothing I've been working on (besides this fic) makes sense on it's own#because it's all dnd shit lmaooo#I'm rambling anyways Crow Rook origin is Meaty

i think, since there's so much, i should make my queue more active throughout the day and tag the things i'll be re-queuing so i can just go through the list in my archive to restock it easier
also i might restock the same ones i had in the queue before that it posted already just to start it over again so i can tag everything in better order without confusing myself
but it won't restart anyway until may when the 516 posts in there are done posting
or sooner if i increase the queue output

The master is not utilizing me properly! I will show my "Master" how information collecting is done!
Noticing how GIR’s motivations in GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff and ZIM’s motivations in ETF are so similar.
Tumblr media
GIR (when he’s competent) knows that ZIM doesn’t understand his potential and sets out to prove himself to ZIM.
When ZIM learns the Tallest don’t see his potential and don’t care about Earth, he sets out to make them care and prove himself (ETF is also really similar in motivation to Backseat Drivers from Beyond the Stars too).
Conclusion: ZIM is to GIR what the Tallest are to ZIM. There are a lot of little parallels highlighted in GIR Goes Crazy like ZIM giving GIR “fake” or meaningless tasks like watching TV to keep him out of the way the mirroring how the Tallest give ZIM his fake Earth mission.

monster food is already different to human food (does not pass through a monster's whole body, does not spoil, etc.)
but then there's also ghost food (like the ghost sandwich blooky offers you). so like I guess there's sub-categories of monster food for different monster types sometimes?
humans are capable of eating some monster foods (Frisk can use consumable items and Chara lived underground for a while so they had to be eating something). but no one other than incorporeal ghosts can eat ghost food (even if they were a ghost but they now have a body)
ghosts might be able to eat other types of monster food (didn't Napstablook have a flier for the spider bake sale? so maybe they can eat that)
just wondering if there are other types of monster food and what sort of properties they might have…

Important Things To Know (Part 2 (aka How Is This Blog Canon-Divergent?)):
The main difference is his appearance. He has longer darker red hair that he usually ties up, has symbols of The Beast on either ear, freckles on his face and chest, wears glasses instead of a monocle, and has a tail. He also usually forgoes wearing the tattered jacket, leaving him in just a vest and shirt.
Alastor is still the facility manager of the Hazbin Hotel. That hasn't changed! He has his radio tower and a suite there, but he also has a personal home. He flip-flops between sleeping at the hotel and his home.
He does NOT hurt or threaten his contracted souls (see: how he treats Husk in episode 5). He treats them as if they were his friends. Whether or not they see him as a friend is up to their own discretion, but he has never and never will treat them badly.
He did NOT start beef with Lucifer when he arrived at the hotel after being invited by Charlie in episode 5. He welcomed him in and was just as eager to take him on a tour as Charlie was.
He is NOT contracted to Lilith. He IS contracted, but to whom (or what) hasn't been revealed yet.
NOTE: your muse is ALLOWED to assume he sticks to canon, but he WILL correct them!

The painting I did for my sketchbook cover!! (Plus a pic w a lil light to show off the metallic paint)
Usually I cover the front with a whole bunch of stickers (which I’m still doing, as you can somewhat see) but I’m already halfway through this one and I barely have any stickers! This was my compromise :3

Chapter 8: Magic in the Coral Sea
Magic in the Coral Sea mainly evolves around two concepts: (1) equivalent exchange and (2) fair trade. Many would call the magic used in the Coral Sea dark magic, but the Coral Sea itself has a very different concept of dark magic that is much, much more taxing and costly than the surface's view of "dark magic".
(In the Coral Sea, Ea's magic is "normal magic", things that can sometimes be reversible. "Dark magic" in the Coral Sea is often called curses or cruxes, magic that is irreversible under any circumstances.)
The source of the Coral Sea's magic is believed to have come from Ea, a Mesopotamian deity, the deity of magic, wisdom, and the creation of water. The myths say that he lives beneath the ocean and is associated with fertility, and is the first of the merfolk.
To practice Coral Sea magic is to worship Ea. Ea's rules of creation determine that all living things are born with a fixed asset and that cannot be altered, even by magic. To obtain something, one must give back something of equal value. For example, if a man wishes for riches and wealth, no doubt they will hit the lottery and get riches and wealth, but their eldest child might mysteriously die in their sleep or a shipwreck in exchange. Not all Coral Sea magic is that dark, however. The smaller and more inconsequential the magic, the less effort, and price it cost. To make a clam sing, one might only need to trade it with a tree branch. To transport one item to another destination, it costs nothing at all except to know the right incantation as it doesn't upset the balance of the world.
However, no one knows these rules better than merfolk, since it's magic exclusive to the Coral Sea. Though as rumours find themselves to the surface, sailors would occasionally hunt for merfolk just so they could force them into using their magic for their own gain. These merfolk would usually agree to it, but they get their revenge by tricking the human into trading something they're not prepared to lose. Sometimes the cost is enough to drive them mad, but their problems no longer concerns the merpeople.
Sadly, most of the time merpeople are, technically but not literally, trying to protect humans from using magic they don't understand, but when enraged, merfolk would not stop them and let them bear the fruit of their own actions.
