Say hello to Petey the Plesiosaur!

I crocheted him today and I'm in love with him <3 he's very soft and cuddly and big. He's also weighted. I started him about twelve hours ago roughly and completely free-handed him, no pattern, and I just can't believe how well he turned out.

purely from an ease-of-use standpoint i am very much missing my chunky plush yarn however this colorway is so fucking gorgeous i can't even care all that much

I am in love with the color scheme of the sweater you made, do you mind if I ask what yarn you used? Also the fact that you said it's your first is insane it looks amazing (also being consumed by a crochet project is so real, been there so many times)

hello there!! first of all that's so nice of you, thank you!! 🥺🥺 i am really proud of how it turned out, especially because to be honest i wasn't really working from a pattern 😅😅

and in fact, i'll do you one better and link you to it! i used a caron anniversary cake, colorway evergreen. they do usually run about $40 because they're HUGE (1061 yd, 1000 g), but i think michael's has them on sale right now for like 30% off, at least online. i picked one of these up at my local store because i enjoyed the colorway and i thought it would be perfect to try and make my first wearable (other than like. beanies and stuff) out of without having to try and figure out how many skeins i needed to buy lol.
