Updated merformers! Bumblebee design 🐝

Updated BB's design and gave him facial markings and body patterns! :D His armor is a mix between TFP and Knightverse Bumblebee.

My version of merformers:

They are techno-organic beings who live deeper into the ocean. Think of their city or general territory as a cybertronian version of Atlantis!

The merformers are completely organic in appearance, some of them opting to wear armor either for looks or for reasons such as keeping some parts of them hidden for their future partners/mates (in Bumblebee's case, it's his helmet 👀). Taking off their armor around someone else could let the latter the know that the mer trusts them or sees them as a potential partner.

As for how the Autobot/Decepticon war plays out in this AU, I'd say the whole war starts off as a territorial issue.

Id imagine he met his little mermaid when they were stuck, most of all injured, weaved in trash and plastic bags at a particular region of the ocean. Close to industrial ports. Human ports.

Poor little mermaid went to the surface, pawing away at a duck to save them from the thick oil it's stuck in only for the humans to spot the mer and try to intercept it. They were fast, though, scuttling away as swiftly as they could in the water, not without having a few spears grazing their fins and scales causing their tail to stutter when flapping.

They'd sink and would get trapped among the trashes accumulated, thrashing around until they're to tired too do so and fall limp, giving up.

Pharma had stumbled upon the mer when trying to catch the his meal for today. It scuttled under a pipe and he had been too tired swimming miles for it to claw it out. When he spotted the mer, though, he's appalled at the injured and clicked his tongue, purring with disappointment while carefully untangling the little mer.

As his digits work to loosen the plastic, two soft bright eyes peered up to him, a weak purr rumbling back. His spark writhed a little — the purr was a desperate one. And, so he quickened the pace. They must be hungry.

When he released them, he half expected the little thing to scuttle away. After all, Merformers were far more larger and intimidating than Mermaids, he assumed they'd be frighten of him.

But they didn't. Or, they weren't able to? Mermaid tried to swim but couldn't, their tail flapping with a stutter no matter how hard the tried. Eventually, they latched onto his arm and purred desperately.

He lets out a vent and bundled up the mermaid into his arms, opting to swim into his alcove and tend them for a while. What he didn't expect, however, is how attached he would be to them.

They rub the pidgeon's little heads with their fingers and giggled when they'd flapped back in annoyance. Pharma feels a smidge envious of the animals but that jealousy is shortlived as Mer would scuttle back to where he's curled around one of the rocks and tuck themselves under his chin, arms around his neck.

The little mermaid was playful, a little stubborn but also very compassionate. They would scuttle along his expeditions on recovering Injured sea life and helped bring them along to his alcove where he would tend them.

He notice how well they get along with their aquatic friends, especially the birds when he helped them resurface for fresh air. (he tries not to think about how his servos fit snugly on their waist as he pulled them up)

He gives an annoyed breedle but eventually he reciprocates and would curl his arms around their little body, relishing their warmth.

Seeing their little bright, smiling faces everyday had been a norm and he wondered, if ever they were to be healed — would they leave him?

Snippet 2 - New shores - Merformers AU

After a night out on the water, the duo succumbed to exhaustion beaching onto a remote shoreline.

Deep in their recharge, they don't notice they aren't alone.

Little Milo had seen orcas before, out on the waters with his mother in their little boat. Whales were found in the ocean, his mother had taught him. They needed big spaces to roam.

All Milo wanted to do that morning was to test out his sweet new toy boat. He never thought that orcas would appear today in such shallow waters. The whales weren't moving. That can't be good.

The orcas are in trouble and Milo goes to help them.

He just didn't expect whales to have magic powers. One of them transformed into a mermaid!

I liked the name Milo and so the kid (human) will be named Milo. He would be a good sea-life rescuer.

Thought up something probably not original but still wanted to get this AU outta my head. But I thought up a Merformers AU but the Autobots are human sailors (Some are) and the Decepticons are beasts of the sea that can shapeshift to live amongst the humans to understand them. Optimus is a hybrid but no one no this except his mother and Ratchet, no one else knows this but....Someone does, his good friend Megatronus knows being a beast of the sea but he hasn't said anything since she can tell it is a sensitive topic for her friend but he hopes to show Optimus there is nothing to hide.

Essentially the Decepticons gotta kraken, leviathan, kaiju kinda vibe while Hybrids like Optimus, Hot Rod, Blurr and others are more on the Mermaid/Siren side (With a few inspirations of Ruby Gillman mixed in)

She is the Curator of Education in my Merformers AU. She mainly educates younger children from ages 10 to 18 years old who are into marine biology!

I got a Merformers idea to make for Mermay, and during that process, I made a tiny sketch of my OC and KOBD. Now I've got a Merformers AU going. Dammit.

Ricochet is a techno-organic mermaid from the underwater city of Iacon. Others avoid her as she is a much larger creature, worried she will devour them. She's lonely and ends up having to fend for herself. One day she is caught in a fishing net and almost taken in by the humans. She fights back and sinks the ship, but is still entangled. Ricochet's tail and limbs are caught. She is unable to swim and sinks to the seabed. She thrashes about and tries to break the netting, but it's strong and cutting into her. The scent of blood begins to draw in sharks. She hisses at them and they stay back, but some bold ones take nips at her. Soon they get closer and closer, and Ricochet can feel herself growing weaker.

As one starts to go for her head, a spear flies into it. The other sharks scatter. There is a red and white blur that goes by her vision and grabs the spear from the shark. A blue and white one comes into her view before she passes out. Ricochet wakes up in a cave and on a metal slab. It's obviously another Cybermer location. Her rescuers, Knock Out and Breakdown, greet her. Ricochet is surprised they're unafraid of her. They insist she stays while she heals. They become friends and soon lovers.

Knock Out and Breakdown follow her as she goes off one day on her own and find out she has a human friend. Sven Star, whom she calls Star. How Ricochet and Star meet: He'll be one of those rich humans that is in charge of an energy company (or something like it). He owns boats and sometimes goes out fishing like rich guys do. Especially for bigger game like marlin. One day he's out on his own much to his partner's disapproval, and something big is snagged on his line. First he thinks he caught some garbage, but then line then starts to swing back and forth. Nope, he's got something! This thing however is huge and Star gets into a pulling match with it. The boat end starts to get pulled down and there is a creak as where the equipment is hooked begins to give. As Star realizes he needs to cut the line and reaches for a knife, it's too late. With one last hard tug the equipment gives, and he is pulled into the water.

After the initial shock of being pulled in, Star is able to unhook himself from the equipment. He then looks up to get a look at what pulled him in, expecting either a huge marlin or a shark. Instead, he sees something else. He wonders if he hit his head on the way in. It has arms and is frantically pulling at its mouth.

After the moment of surprise passes, Star panics and swims to the surface. He scrambles up onto the boat and scoots away from the edge, keeping an eye on the water. He's fully expecting this giant thing to follow him and try to devour him. It was huge! And probably very angry that he snagged it. Ricochet surfaces and glares at him. They exchange jabs before he offers to remove the hook, which she accepts. Afterward, Star returns to the spot to see if she's still there, not sure if Ricochet would stick around after that.

He's delighted to see her peek out of the water.

Snippet 1 -Humble beginings - Merformers AU

Prowl is captured by a mysterious group of masked humans and is experimented on. His spark gets exposed and fused with an ancient forgotten relic - The Emberstone.

The group had hoped to build a cybertronian of their own making. But they lacked the CNA to do so. As a test they used animal DNA extracted from ocean infused with stolen sentio-metalico. The experiment was a success but not quite in the way the villains were hoping.

With classic inferior technological difficulties, the emberstone did its job but not before overloading the machinery and causing a massive fire. NOT good for a secret lab on an OIL RIG.

in the chaos, Prowl changed and battered makes an escape and life was given to a new being.

With a new body working against him and a dependent on hand, having bonded in the most unorthodox of ways Prowl and his charge must face the might of the ocean to return home.

But where is home when everyone is out to get you.

Rewatching Ponyo had me stewing in this idea. This story does not read yet like Ponyo hahahah. I just wanted traumatised adult meets child and protect them with their life kinda fluff. I don't know how Ponyo got me here.
