"videos of men trying period pain simulators. The machines have wired abdominal pads that send electrical impulses controlled by a console that can replicate the ferocity of cramps on a range of one to 10. Often by five or six on the dial, men are groaning or even screaming in agony while their female partners, also hooked up to the machine, sit unfazed."

Cannabis has great medicinal potential, but it’s no cure-all - Medical Marijuana Program Connection
Over the last five years, an often forgotten piece of US federal legislation – the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, also known as the 2018 Farm Bill – has ushered in an explosion of interest in the medical potential of cannabis-derived cannabidiol, or CBD. After decades of debate, the bill made it legal for farmers to grow industrial hemp, a plant rich incannabis-derived cannabidiol. Hemp…

So funny that even in the latest round of fascistic policy makers Germany and America are still legalising cannabis and Italy even made it easier to get trans medical treatment (yes, even under her) and yet in the UK we want to deport desperate foreign families, lock up anyone who's even looked at a cigarette and want trans people to die alone and forgotten in an abandoned hospital room.

The synthetic fibres competed with leading to criminalisation of cannabis. The stifled hemp industry growth, contributed to mass incarceration and social unrest. It also perpetuated stigma of cannabis use despite evidence of its medical benefits and growing public support for legalisation. 🤔

Tuesday 27th June 2023
As you might expect, there were no bears this morning despite the high expectations set by our host. Of course it's possible a whole sloth of bears might have shown up before the Cadby clan awoke but I somehow doubt it. So all the way to Naramata we were looking once again at the river banks wishing one to show itself and do a little jig.
What really seems wierd to us is the relaxed view about cannabis here. Its use for recreational and medical purposes was legalised in 2018. Not only that but each household is permitted to grow up to 4 plants of the stuff. Our host proudly showed me three plants he was cultivating behind his garage but assured us that it was for medical use only and he definitely didn't smoke or inhale it. Funny smell coming out of the garage door though.
The scenery on route to Naramata was stunning as gushing rivers thundered around almost vertical tree clad mountains; trees miraculously growing seemingly from the most miniscule amount of soil. Our first stop on leaving Hope this morning was the scene of a tragedy in 1965; the Hope Mud Slide. The landslide buried three vehicles and their occupants, and in all four people died under 47 million cubic metres of pulverized rock, mud and debris that fell down the 2,000-metre mountainside. The slide was possibly caused by an earthquake in the region. Even today there remains a huge open scar in the mountainside testiment to the events nearly 60 years ago. We then passed through Sunshine Valley which was the location for the Tashme internment camp for Japanese Canadians during WW2. It operated in one form or another between 1942 and 1949 with 350 dwelling shacks; one of the largest camps of its kind in Canada. By now, very depressed we stopped in Manning Park for a coffee which was served to us by a lad from Wales. As we sat in the grounds, a groundhog came up to us hoping for food.
We travelled 256km today and there are some homesteads in some extremely remote areas in Canada. One such place we stopped at was Hedley, a once thriving Gold Town that in its heyday produced in today's terms 3 billion dollars of pure gold. All those riches have gone now and sadly it barely survives despite the valiant efforts of a few. The town cemetery telling the story of its past life.
We reached Naramata late afternoon and found our apartment for the next three nights which overlooks the most spectacular Okanagan Lake, a massive 135 square miles in area and 84 miles in length! After a rather sketchy repast thrown together consisting of local beefburgers, locally grown veg and rice, washed down by Australian Pinot Grigio, what no SB (???), we have begun to plan our next couple of days here. We are right in the middle of the Canadian Wine producing area which does squeeze out a palatable SB I'm told. We feel a visit to a winery in person is the best way to confirm this.
ps I didn't know they made wine in Canada!

Cannabis in the United Kingdom is illegal for recreational use and is classified as a Class B drug. In 2004, cannabis was made a Class C drug with less severe penalties but it was moved back to Class B in 2009. Medical use of cannabis, when prescribed by a registered specialist doctor, was legalised in November 2018.
Cannabis is widely used as an illegal drug in the UK, while other strains lower in THC have been used industrially for over a thousand years for fibre, oil and seeds. Cannabis has been restricted as a drug in the United Kingdom since 1928, though its usage as a recreational drug was limited until the 1960s, when increasing popularity led to stricter 1971 classification.
Despite the fact that cannabis is still illegal in the UK, with limited availability for medical use, the United Kingdom is the world's largest exporter of legal cannabis.
Thanks!

It is disgusting that there is racism within international sporting event such as the olympics and we should talk about it
However...
Though I think for medical purposes weed if fine, in fact vital, it is a gateway, it does cause harm and in the majority of countries cannabis is illegal. Therefore though they could live in a state where it is legal, both considers Texas her home where it is illegal in all forms, it is fair to expect someone travelling abroad to obey the laws of the majority of the world. They are role models and drugs do hurt people. Even if we were to say the role model thing and the laws isn’t a problem because weed in your eyes isn’t shameful or damaging to do(though not true for a large percentage of those who use weed and no investigation has ever proved it to be safe for anybody in the long term) and it impinges on American laws elsewhere and Texas should legalise and each will not be in the country long enough to get it out of her system- drugs kill people. Not the taker but it funds criminals in areas in which it is illegal, this money goes into the funding of modern day slavery, fuels gang wars and leads to deaths  ect. and young kids becoming runners and getting permanent records at best, dying often. This might not happen in Michigan I don’t know but if you say drug taking is okay to a world you say taking drugs doesn’t hurt anybody in the majority of countries in in world in which it does.
We need to support addicts, stop kids dealing, have compassion but a month out of her career not competing and counselling isn’t the end of the world. Sha 'Carri raced again, and will have another chance and did wonderfully https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/more-sports/shacarri-richardson-scratches-from-100m-final-ryan-crouser-sets-record-at-la-grand-prix/ar-AA1bMGj6 so will Tara she is 24 and the drugs weren’t performance enhancing so you know she can do it again. It will be a slight barrier but a month is very little problem given the race isn’t upcoming it has passed.
It is the case that Tara was in a national competition but not all of America has weed legalised and though I talk of both of them above I can apricate this title was removed in a different context in which it makes slightly less sense but she was in the Olympics and is a role model around the world. Also weed can cause danger to a person running if they are actuall high at the time due to loss of motor control, psychosis, increases heart rate and difficulty breathing all of which place herself and others in danger potentially so making sure you are clean in all competions is good practice and also makes the race safer
Everybody needs to be punished the same but they do need to be punished in a world in which weed is illegal and is dangerous to sell and buy. I hope someday it isn’t but those are the facts. They have to care unfortunately. In the Olympics because of the Olympic values and the fact athletes are role models, and weed can be performance enhancing for some sports, not many but some. I know because I have done exams and essays on the topic.
