something i actually think is super important to keep in mind when looking at Full Moon, and in general Stolas' side of the relationship, is that Stolas does not know how much Blitzo hates himself

i genuinely don't think he's even aware of the fact that Blitzo has self-esteem issues, which means he also has no reason to think Blitzo wasn't a 100% honest and upfront in all of their interactions

like, Stolas is very, very, caught up in his own head, and his own feelings. he's never been taught to see it from someone else's perspective, and while i'm sure he knows the royal game of Politely Lying Your Ass Off, he has no reason to think Blitzo would do that (plus, considering how upfront Stelle has been about her disdain for him, he has no reason to apply that kind of thinking to a relationship)

the only time he's ever seen a more vulnerable side of Blitzo is during Ozzie, which immediately clued him into the fact that Blitzo wasn't completely on board with their deal, and he immediately decided to find a way to 'set Blitzo free'

Stolas loves Blitzo. but he's also an isolated rich kid who's never had any friends, or relationships, and Blitzo is not the type to be honest with his feelings- so he needs to have it spelt out, and oh boy, do i hope the show gives us a scene like it
