saw ur tag about arcane on the "does it have sad ending-no but it was awful" post and then scrolled ur blog a bit for arcane tag and SHAKING UR HANDD YOU ARE JUST LIKE ME?? 🤝🤝 i liked s1 but then i had to pause during s2e4 and there's a whole chat history of me with some friends ranting about the whole girlboss metal music to cop violence montage scene. i feel crazy when ppl call arcane a masterpiece bc yes it has beautiful animation and awesome character design and it HAS really good foundational themes but the execution of the story. eugh. anyway hoping i dont get flamed for this but. vindication that someone feels the same 💥💥💥

it's literally insane how bad they fumbled it. like this had the potential to be the next. idk. fullmetal alchemist or whatever... instead it will die a silent death like game of thrones ! or rather it SHOULD die a death like that but people are no doubt going to say that lesbian sex actually makes it a masterpiece for #queer representation and anyone who criticizes it must be a homophobe, completely ignoring the fact that it was a total failure of political commentary that it so clearly wanted to be. you think ONE Zaunite on the council fixes anything at all (liberal ass solution to the problem of capitalism, focusing far too much on "representation" over actual material change and compensation)? the fascist cops are actually suddenly the good guys when the REAL enemy, the brainwashed communists, show up? viktor shouldn't have done anything about his terminal illness that would have killed him in his mid-20s because he's actually just perfect the way he is? ? ? ?

it's fascinating in a certain way because s1 nearly PERFECTLY describes the class divide that we're all currently experiencing nowadays but of course s2 would fail to deliver on the "what to do about it" part of the narrative. because at the end of the day this whole project is being sponsored by those who have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo LMAO

I finished my Earthspark post-S1, Pre S2 summary style writing so I can wrap my head around the YEAR time jump that they just glossed over. Idk if I should post it as a fic or work on writing it in the form of cut scenes / mini-episodes.

If I post the summary, then I can get into rewriting S2 with the Chaos Terrans and some established events. I have no issue with the Emberstone shattering and how they pick up the pieces, but I will be doing my own take about how they go about this and individual motivations for doing so.

If I write out the scenes, it will take awhile. But it will give a more fleshed out time-gap and there will be lots of endearing/funny/interesting Malto moments during the Decepticon Peace Treaty time.
