actually i can't contain my enthusiasm for this in my tags sorry

at first i was already vibrating upon seeing parapillar because it so seamlessly combines the host's body with the parasite, yet having the parasite clearly delineated by color, AND keeping the color scheme simple. the host is still most of the pokemon although clearly the parasite is in control!! nestled in its little home on top :3 this thing is super cute. also rip caterpillar

broodread is an EXCELLENT transitional form that shows accurate pupation of the parasite while the host starts to take the back seat. both organisms still combine to make a really cool silhouette of a single pokemon. i love the name broodread because infected caterpillars sometimes get manipulated into protecting external parasitoid wasps!!

ichneugon is SO EXCITING. i LOVEEEE that you kept the host as part of the final pokemon!! it's so perfect to use as the abdomen to emphasize its ghost typing and i was so happy when i noticed!! i like that it looks like an empty shell it broke out of like shedinja! the spiracles of the host have become the abdominal spiracles of the parasite! also love that the remains of the cocoon are still covering it. bonus points for including pterostigmas on the forewings.

i just. i really love these designs. i'm an entomologist and like... wasps aren't even my forte but i'm so fucking pumped about these because they're so accurate and look good and the names are good too (BROODREAD GOES CRAZY). 1million% would have this guy on my team
