Okay so does anyone have recommendations (particularly books or podcast but tbf I'm open for anything) that might reasonably be described as "horror caused by the fungi getting a bit fucked up"

#because I've just finished What Moves The Dead by T Kingfisher and I'm annoyed I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would #it's like the author took a look at the gothic genre and said 'you know what this needs? more definite explanations'#I've also read Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (very good enjoyed it much more)#and The Girl with All the Gifts + The Boy on the Bridge by MR Carey (the first wasn't too bad the second was worse; partly the problem is #me I'm just not a zombie fan and partly I really fuckin hated how he wrote his autistic character)
