okayyyy so here is something short n shitty on these new pics that my brain whipped up! tell me if you like this!
words: 1.3k~ish
warnings: flirting, fluff.
***
You loved coming out to this little nook to capture scenes of the city on canvas. Today felt especially inspiring with the beautiful spring weather.
You begin laying out your brushes and squeezing out vibrant shades of paint onto your palette. Losing yourself in the simple motions, you barely notice the passersby around you. That is, until a very familiar voice pipes up from behind.
"Excuse me, miss? Your paintings are absolutely lovely."
You freeze, brush hovering in the air. No, it couldn't be... Slowly, you turn around and your jaw drops. There, flashing his signature dimpled grin, stands Harry Styles himself. Your ultimate celebrity crush in the flesh, mere feet away.
"H-Harry? Harry Styles?" you stammer out, eyes wide.
He chuckles softly. "The one and only. I'm out on a morning stroll and I couldn't help but stop to admire your work. You've got a brilliant talent there."
Your cheeks flush bright pink. "Oh my gosh, thank you! You're—you're really here. I can't believe it!"
Trying not to completely fangirl and scare him off, you take a deep breath to collect yourself. Harry Styles is complimenting your art. This is actually happening.
"Sorry, I'm just—wow, I'm such a huge fan of yours. Your music means so much to me."
He smiles warmly. "I'm glad you enjoy it, love. Say, would you maybe be interested in doing a little commission for me? Painting my portrait?"
You nearly drop your palette right then and there. "You want me to paint you? Like, really?"
"If you're up for it, yeah! I'd be honoured."
Nodding fervently, you scramble to set up a fresh canvas on your easel. "Yes, absolutely! I'd love to! Just...just tell me how you'd like to pose."
As Harry arranges himself into a relaxed seated position, you take a moment to study his striking features. From the soft chestnut curls framing his face to those entrancing emerald eyes, he is perfect subject material. Your heart pounds rapidly in your chest.
"Okay, perfect, just like that. Stay right there and I'll get started!"
You take a steadying breath before putting brush to canvas, carefully mapping out Harry's form in broad strokes. The two of you fall into an easy back-and-forth conversation as you work, chatting about everything from his latest album to your shared hometown.
"I've gotta say, your Cheshire accent is pretty damn charming," Harry remarks at one point with a playful wink.
You giggle shyly. "Why thank you, kind sir. Yours isn't too bad either."
Harry throws back his head with a deep, raspy chuckle that has your toes curling in your shoes. "Is that so, darling? Well in that case..." He leans in close enough for you to smell his intoxicating cologne, voice lowering to a sultry murmur. "Perhaps later you'll allow me to read you a bedtime story?"
"Harry!" you gasp in flustered exasperation, half-heartedly swatting his arm as he cackles victoriously. The two of you are so caught up in your playful banter that you barely notice the small crowd starting to gather, whispering and snapping photos as word spreads that the one and only Harry Styles is getting his portrait done.
Harry waves jovially at his fans but remains focused on you, keeping up the easy banter.
"How's it looking over there, Picasso? Doing me justice?"
Glancing up, you smirk. "Well, it's hard to improve upon perfection, but I'm giving it my best shot."
He smiles, and swears he felt his heart skip a beat at your words. "Such flattery! And here I thought you were just a pretty face with those big doe eyes."
You roll said eyes dramatically as your cheeks flush. "Oh, stop trying to put me off, you flirt!"
Over the next little while, you alternate between studying Harry's striking features with lazer-like intensity and flushing furiously whenever he catches you staring. At one point, he pointedly clears his throat.
"You know, most artists usually start on the face when doing portraits," he remarks with a teasing lilt.
Cheeks flaming again, you force your gaze away from the rippling muscles of his forearms where you'd been fixated like a teenager. "Hush you, I'm simply taking my time with the background work first."
"If you say so," he chuckles but obediently returns to stillness, allowing you to slowly build up brushstrokes on the canvas.
Time seems to fly by as your brush strokes bring Harry's image vibrantly to life on the canvas. The swarm of onlookers grows steadily bigger, phones clicking away to document the scene. Several times you have to politely ask people not to get too close and obstruct your view.
With one last few delicate strokes to bring out the shine in Harry's eyes, you finally lean back with a satisfied smile.
"Well, Mr. Styles...what do you think?"
Harry rises from his pose and steps over to admire your handiwork, lips parting in an impressed grin.
"Wow...Y/N, this is incredible! You captured me perfectly!"
You beam proudly, butterflies erupting in your stomach at his praise. "I had some pretty gorgeous subject matter to work with."
Chuckling, Harry carefully plucks the canvas from the easel. "You've definitely earned your payment and then some. Name your price, love."
After some back-and-forth haggling that has the crowd laughing, Harry hands over a generous sum of cash and pulls you in for a warm hug.
"Truly, thank you for this. I'll cherish it forever!"
You bite your lip shyly as he pulls away. "You're more than welcome. Can't say I mind immortalizing that handsome face on canvas."
Harry tosses you one last wink before turning to greet his clamoring fans, the sea of people quickly engulfing him and carrying him off down the street.
As he's shuffled away, Harry feels a pang of disappointment that he didn't get a chance to ask for your number or make plans to see you again. He spent the whole time shamelessly flirting and getting flustered by your adorable blushes and quips. Now he may never get the opportunity to take you out on an actual date.
Once he's finally escorted into his awaiting car, Harry lets out a frustrated huff and runs a hand through his tousled hair. He'd been so wrapped up in your captivating presence that he didn't even think to get your contact information before being mobbed. Rookie mistake.
"Stupid, stupid," he mutters under his breath, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Just as he's resigning himself to having let a potential connection slip through his fingers, something catches Harry's eye. He glances down at the canvas you had been painting him on, safely tucked onto the seat beside him, and a slow smile spreads across his face.
There, just peeking out from the backside wrapped around the frame, is a scribbled set of numbers. Hurriedly, Harry flips over the painting to inspect further. He lets out a delighted laugh at what he finds.
It's a phone number! Trailing below it in your handwriting are the words "In case you need your portrait updated ;) -Y/N"

Also here's my thoughts on the various aspects of Mario Eclipse, major spoilers though- I recommend going in blind if you plan on playing it at all.
Il Piantissimo feels phenomenal to play as. Not having FLUDD is compensated with a double jump, and the increased speed & jump height is insane. Luckily, you cannot choose to play as him in any episode where you would not be able to accomplish your goal. Additionally, the presence of water bombs for all characters when not using FLUDD works really well to make him still viable.
Luigi feels like the perfect middle-ground between Il Piantissimo's faster movement / higher jumps and still being able to use FLUDD. I choose to play as Luigi more often than not.
Warship Isle was full of tedium, my least favourite new level: however, where all the new levels do have some tedium, the tedium itself fit perfectly into the game. Nothing was more tedious than what Nintendo themselves asked of the player, and so it kinda ended up balancing out pretty nicely.
Lighthouse Isle had some camera issues, but overall starting the level stormy was a great choice, the custom boss battle was really well-done, and I enjoyed it a lot. My only other criticism is that the soundtrack was more "Grant Kirkhope" than "Koji Kondo", but none of the other levels' soundtracks had this issue.
Erto Rock was a beautiful level and a great way to interpret the concept from the cut content. I'm not a huge fan of how often, though, in new levels, you start with a mission that has a timer; I'd prefer personally to be able to take my time exploring the new levels first rather than kinda have to take it all in as quickly as possible. It's also nice having a more vertical level that feels simultaneously like it takes advantage of the Rocket Nozzle where the base game did not, as well as not making it entirely mandatory either.
Hotel Lacrima is a hilarious way to interpret the cut content; they chose to make it mafia based, because... hotel la-crime-a. That's really funny. The organized crime didn't feel out of place for a Nintendo game of this era, either, weirdly enough. The level itself is designed in such a way that the camera feels accommodated for really nicely, despite the inherent issues with the game's camera.
All of the new transition levels / areas feel really cute, and the vibes are immaculate.
Needing to beat shadow Mario in all of the new levels as well was unexpected, but I felt like it fit really nicely. This is usually one of the biggest criticisms of Mario Sunshine itself, but I think the amount of post-game content makes up for this.
Starting the game at Peach's Castle was also a really great choice; in the base game, you have all of 3 seconds to familiarize yourself with Mario's moveset before you obtain FLUDD. Having even this small change I think fixed that issue really well.
The ability to enter Corona Mountain pre-flood was a really nice touch; I do wish that it had been expanded into a full level, though. The attention to the cut detail of it being a Shrine was very appreciated.
I'm only just moving into the post-game content, but having it based around Daisy's Cruiser is a really adorable touch. The post-game content genuinely feels like Official DLC for the game, expanding the map outwards off of Isle Delfino rather than continuing to pile onto the island.
As a Blue Coins enjoyer, I'm really glad that they didn't remove the Blue Coins from the game, and in fact added some to every single new level. I've always stood by the fact that I'd rather have Blue Coins as a "portion of a major collectable" than distort the value of major collectables by throwing them literally everywhere (looking at you, Mario Odyssey).
While the original plan for Eclipse was to restore the beta Delfino Plaza, the beta plaza is nowhere to be found. On one hand, I wish they would have, and put it maybe on the north side of the island or something? but on the other hand, not restoring it does feel like it honors the choices the developers made more, making the mod feel, again, like an Official Product. I think the beta plaza would have stood out design-wise, and- like in the base game- was probably not included for good reason.
As someone who is super autistic about Super Mario Sunshine, this really feels like it hit every single thing I would've wanted in a theoretical remake- it feels like this is the game Nintendo's team would have made if they had been given unlimited time and budget to do so.

Kagurabachi's Popularity: Familiarity Through Structure
Having a degree in writing and media is so fun because I can write an essay on why Kagurabachi can be defined as well written through craft standards and attribute its popularity overseas to its structure, which is framed similarly to western movies.
And I am!
After this interview confirmed that Takeru Hokazono, author of Kagurabachi, is a huge fan of western films, I went back to this idea I was playing with in October when KB had less than ten chapters. I had been reading since day one, and I knew it was good, and other overseas fan knew it was good. But what made it so good to us, overseas?
I made a quick thread on it on my Twitter account (that I never posted) where I mentioned Blake Snyder's Save the Cat book on script writing and story structure. I also brought up characterization and how it would've been really popular in my comic book class from undergrad. This thread discussed both Chihiro and Sojo, and the quick yet steady pace of the manga has given us more characters and moments to pinpoint. To not overwhelm myself, I'm not going to discuss the craft of characterization (maybe another time), and I'm not going to do a beat sheet for Sojo. For now, I'll try to stay under the first arc to map out why Kagurabachi has so far moved like a high budget film in manga form. So, spoilers ahead!
A quick lesson on Save the Cat, its three main characteristics are: Three act structure Fifteen plot beats Mostly applied to American Hollywood films
One of the biggest things I noticed right away was the resemblance a lot of the chapters, even the story as a whole, had to Snyder's beat sheet. This beat sheet that comes from Snyder's book is somewhat of an industry standard, so a lot of movies, even those that preceded Snyder, go through this structure of Act 1, 2, and 3. Snyder just identified the parts and broke them down to fifteen beats. Plus he dubbed the save the cat moment:
A decisive moment in which a protagonist demonstrates they are worth rooting for. Having the protagonist save a cat can be literal or figurative.
This was something KB needed and did have to have us warm up to Chihiro who post time skip, just gave gloomy orphan energy in the previous chapters. Here, Char would be our cat. Chihiro chose to save Char and chose to protect her, and continued to fight for her until she was rescued. He made this choice even before it's revealed that Char's mother died for her, something that would parallel Chihiro. This is what got readers to see him three dimensionally after being introduced to him. He's still the caring little 14 year old we saw at the start, who continues to take care of the innocent despite the tragedy he's been through. It is only natural for us to care for him, too.
Tumblr media
Above are the fifteen beats of Save the Cat and although KB on occasion doesn't hit all fifteen exactly as specified, especially final image as it's continuing, the song and dance is quite similar. Here are examples of The Dark Knight (2008) and Inglourious Basterds (2009), two movies that have inspired Hokazono's work.
Before Chihiro meets Char, we get his opening image of him and his dad forging which is works well as the entire story revolves on the consequences of them creating weapons. We get the set up to his world where he lives with his dad who made famous katanas that wield the power to end a war. The theme is stated, and it's not kept a secret: The katanas they make are weapons made to kill people. Are they willing to carry the burden? In another variation of this question, is Chihiro willing to carry the burdens unintentionally passed down by his father?
The catalyst is his father's murder that catapults him into seeking revenge and recover the katanas.
Now, for the rest of the story, this structure can be applied to the first 18 chapters or even 1-3 chapters at a time which in my opinion, is kind of insane. There's story telling inside the story telling, and these moments are both subtle and grand, signs of a strong and captivating writer. Hollywood would kill for a script like this these days. In order to get you to believe me how prominent these beats are, I'm going to do arc one and Daruma's story. The main story line should be around act one and two right now as of chapter 20, if we want to get down into it, but if anything, this feels like it's moving like a second "movie."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall, this structure that comes from Hollywood movies can be identified in multiples parts of Kagurbachi's storytelling. I was going to do beat sheet's for Char and Sojo's stories as well, but I think this is enough of an example of a bigger picture versus smaller. Although other mangas also fall into three act structures, as most story telling does, KB masterfully uses the 15 beats to its advantage. I believe the familiarity of this pace is what hooked oversea audiences, and aside from that, the characters that quickly capture us.
Very quickly, because I don't want to make this about characterization, Chihiro is well written through his past, who he chooses to kill and save, his dialogue that can be surprisingly vulnerable at times, and his cool façade that melts because of how hot he truly runs. He is also straight up a badass. We get handed Char's background in an "all is lost" segment as well as some lore that can present her as a resource for the main cast. We see Azami's phone background photo that's minimum 3+ years old- a government employee with a soft spot for his friends, one who he is still clearly grieving. We get one tiny yet so fucked up bit of Sojo when we see him get a flashback where he's a child and his single dialogue of "I truly love Kunishige Rokuhira," that launched his type of villainy in the maniacal fanboy category. Who does it like that? Nobody but Takeru Hokazono.
Thank you for reading this essay! I do have two other essays drafted, one on Sojo's possible return (I'm a delusional Sojo fan) and just his overall significance and impact as the first villain even if he doesn't return, and on Hiyuki plus servant leadership versus self service.

TOA Aniversary Munday
From Neffi!
Celebrating TOA and the people who contribute to make our group what it is.
Repost, don't reblog. Only fill in what you feel comfortable sharing!
Happy anniversary, TOA! Here's to many more years spent together.
Name: eri
Pronouns: she/her
Birthday (no year): 9/30
Where are you from? What is your time zone? Taiwan! GMT+8, currently 12 hours ahead of TOAST. Good news: the apocalypse hasn't hit the future yet!
How long is your roleplay experience? Probably around 10+ years at this point, unless running around as Pokemon on the playground counts, in which case more like 20 years ahaha
How were you introduced to roleplaying as a whole? I'm reasonably certain Fire Emblem was my first foray into tumblr RP, and Emmeryn was my first muse! There was a little indie community that I joined back then, though I haven't kept in contact with them
How were you introduced to TOA? I don't really remember, but all I know is that I lurked around the masterlist around the time of L&K but didn't pluck up the courage to join until nearly a year later when I saw there was a Reyson (shoutout to birdie!)
Do you have any pets? Nope! Moved around too much as a kid and current living situation doesn't support having one. Closest I got was sharing an apartment with my roommate's floofy cat for two years in college; his name's Chester and he was super adorable. I'd like to have a dog someday though!
What is your favorite time of year and why? (Season, holiday, general period) WINTERRRR I am a human furnace and summer is suffering. Every spring I start counting down the days to the next winter ahaha
What is your IRL occupation? I work at the counseling department in a junior college!
Some interests and things you like/enjoy? Learning languages, singing, obscure fun facts and watching Youtube video essays
What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? Used to be a big Pokemon person but I stopped playing the mainline games by Gen VII (not for lack of interest! RL circumstances changed around that time and I just never got back into the habit of buying those games); nowadays I play a few mobile games daily but that's about it
Favorite Pokemon type & Pokemon: Water; too many, but if I had to name just one I will probably say Rufflet
Tell us some funfacts and trivia about yourself! The first fun fact is that the moment I get asked questions like this I immediately go Brain Empty and this is why I rarely fill out toa monthly feedback forms dakfjslfj uhhhh my favorite color is blue! I joined an archery club in grad school (two years ago) to understand what shooting a bow feels like. I love swimming but haven't been to a pool for maybe like 9 years now. I really like going to zoos.
How did you get into Fire Emblem? My older brother introduced my younger brother and me to Japanese FE4 when we were kids, when we knew absolutely no Japanese and just messed around the first map and never beat it. I properly started playing when I was in high school, with FE7 being the first game I beat! I normally count my official FE gaming journey as starting with 7 in high school :'D
What Fire Emblem games have you played? All the mainline ones except 1-3 and Echoes (I'm...... working on it)
First & Favorite Fire Emblem games: FE7; FE3H
List your 5 favorite Fire Emblem characters across the series! You can't do this to me man. UHHH ok Lucius is my very most favorite FE character. Andrei needs to be here. I lump the Heron sibs as one unit for questions like this. Tibarn. Sylvain. There are probably a dozen more but
Who was the first character ever to make you go “ooh I like this one in particular” and why? Can be any context and reason! HONESTLY Andrei thanks to the Oosawa manga. His arc changed my brain chemistry permanently
Any Fire Emblem crushes? 😳 I don't think I've really crushed on fictional characters before ahaha
If you’ve played (or are familiar with) the following games, who was your first S support? Who would you S support nowadays? - Awakening: Chrom I think; uhhhh Lon'qu or Cherche?? - Fates: Silas I think???; I'm currently partway through a Birthright playthrough and I seem geared to S support with Jakob so him - Three Houses: Dimitri; started my first and only Myleth run a few months back and I'll probably go with Miss Thea :flushed: - Engage: None; man I don't know
Favorite Fire Emblem class? Bishop
If you were a Fire Emblem character, what would be your class and stats? Would you be playable? I think I could be a War Cleric wielding a giant hammer. If you don't go to bed on time I will forcibly join your army and make you
If you were a Three Houses character, what would be your affiliation? Blue Lions I guess!
If you were an Officers Academy student, what would be your boons, banes and potential budding talent? Axe boon, Reason bane, Riding budding talent
If you were an Engage character, which nation would you originate from? Brodia
How do you pronounce TOA? TOE-uh
Current TOA muses: Just me and my bow man for the moment
Past TOA muses? Leanne, Lucius, Altena, Nino
Who was your first TOA muse? If you no longer have them, can you see yourself picking them up again? Leanne was my first! Honestly she always lives in a cozy little corner of my head, so she can be back at any moment if RL permits
Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? Nice Girls (gender neutral) who have no quarrel with 99% of the world. As you may be able to see, Andrei does not fit this mold.
Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? Flirts. They're so much fun to read but I don't think I could flirt my way out of a paper bag irl so I would never know what to write
What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? I honestly love fluffy cozy fun friendshippy situations!!! Again, Andrei is not conducive to this. I mean I do also like painful scenes but--
Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? that Yngvi AU where Brigid never disappeared because things will still go to shit but the circumstances would be so different. Honestly Brigid doesn't even need to explicitly be there for this to work so if any Gen I Jugdrals ever want to do this then I grip you
Favorite TOA-related memories? So many, but the West Faerghus Croc lives rent free in my brain forever.
Present or past tense? I started off with past tense, but now default to present. When the stars align and I notice my partner using past tense, sometimes I will also switch, but not always.
Normal size text, small text, no preference? Small text, though I am happy to switch for my partner's preference if needed!
Got any potential muse delusions to share? 😉 Waves goodbye to my faceless Glenn delusions honestly thank u new anniversary ruling for saving me from those eternal brainworms

Today was a very very rainy and foggy day. Shockingly so at times. I am cozy in bed now. And I had a pretty nice day. It was a lot busier then I expected. But that was not a problem.
We got home around 1. I was falling asleep in the car but fighting it. We brought our stuff upstairs and got stuff out away. I took a shower and washed my hair and was asleep pretty quickly. We were beat and we both had to be up in the morning.
I dont remember James leaving. But they would text me when they were safely at work. I woke up at 9 and felt pretty alright. I was not as overwhelmingly exhausted like I expected. I got washed and dressed and felt good.
I did not have breakfast. I felt a little to stressed for that. I thought maybe I would grab something before the market but I just packed a yogurt and hoped for the best.
It was raining very hard and I was very surprised. I just didn't think the drops would be so large. So I was a little worried. I left a bit early to give myself time and figure out where to park and everything at the museum. And I'm glad I did.
I could not figure out how to get to the building. I looked at the map and had to loop a few times before I finally figured it out. And it was absolutely pouring so I was a little stressed when they said we had to go around the back of the building. Two of the other venders were waiting in their cars to see if the rain let up at all. But it didn't seem like it was going to. So once I spoke the the coordinator I just got my wagon and started loading up. Someone form the musuem carried my one picnic basket and I just walked with purpose and tried to get inside without being soaked.
Once everything was in I brought my wagon back to the car and drove my car to the street. I grabbed an umbrella and went back to the museum up the hill. I absolutely forgot my umbrella at the museum which I'm only mildly annoyed about. But it is alright. I have many umbrellas.
I set up pretty quickly. In about 10 minutes. And I was very happy with my display. The other couple venders were setting up still so I had some time to wander the house.
This place was very cool. This was a summer home in the 1800s. And the styling was just so cool. I loved seeing all the details. And the use of color. Some really darling features that I loved so much. For sure inspo for our future home.
We would have some foot traffic! I was honestly a little surprised only because the weather was so crumby. But my theory that it would make people come inside did seem partially true. And I was able to give out my card a while bunch and talk up a few workshops and private classes and commissions. And I did sell a few things. Not a ton but I am whole from the table cost of this week and last week with a little extra on top. So I didn't feel so defeated. Plus I was just having fun.
The woman next to me owns a jewelery store I actually am familiar with! It is a little shop inside the Mt Vernon marketplace. And she was such a big and lovely personality. She wanted all of us to be best friends and honestly by the end I swear we were. When it was quiet or slow we were all giving each other suggestions for business ideas and talking about how running businesses is and what matters to each of us and it was just such a lovely environment and energy and I really needed that bit of community. It just felt really good.
It was a short market but I felt like I got a lot out of it. Plus there was a live harp player and that was lovely to hear. I also got to see them open the big front door with a comically giant skeleton key and it made us loading everything out a lot easier. And it wasn't raining as much.
I went down and got my car and as usual, I was the first one in and the first one out. I packed up very quickly and was out of there. Lovely to meet everyone and followed each other on Instagram to keep in contact for the future.
I was starving though. My little yogurt did keep me from being woozy but I needed to eat and last night all I wanted was a hoagie. So that is what I went and got.
I drove out to Towson and got a Wawa hoagie. I was a little frustrated that I didn't have as much water left as I thought. But it was fine and I enjoyed my sandwich in the car while it continued to get foggier and foggier.
I would go home after that. I was surprised how terrible the weather was. I checked in with James about coming to get them from work. And that was decided.
So I went home to wait the hour before it was time to pick them up. I put some stuff away. Charged my phone. Hugged on sweetp. And at 4 I left to get my husband.
I was very happy to see them. And them me. And Angie was there!! I'm going to miss her when she leaves next month so I was really glad I got a hug today. Love Angie. And me and James went home.
We had about an hour here before we were going to see two houses. I chilled on the couch and tried to not lose the small amount of energy I still had.
But soon we were heading to Patterson to see the first house.
And I really liked this one. Like it was a flip but a nice one. Like they actually seemed to care. It was a little boring but I saw the potential. And I loved a lot about it. I am not making any decisions but man. This one seemed great and just weird enough that I can use a lot of decoration to bring back the original charms without having to worry about major plumbing or electrical issues.
We had another to see but this one was not good. Very very narrow. It almost felt like three studio apartments stacked on top of each other. This was just not it. But we used it as a spot to discuss what we were doing. Money, budget, hopes, dreams, all of that. We decided to look at a house I found that's a little farther east then we originally thought we would want. But it looks really nice in pictures so I think it's worth checking out.
The problem I'm having emotionally though is I'm very tired so everything feels more. And James loved the other house from last week so much so them not loving this one that I like, even though they say they like it, makes me second guess. They said they are struggling with seeing it staged with furniture which is fair, I had to really do some picturing to make it work on my head. But I really could see us happy there and getting to do the fun projects and decorating and all of that we want to do.
We left there and I asked them a question about decorating but they answered a different question about the house itself. Like they didn't understand what I meant and I spiraled a little. Worried. Dad called me and that helped distract me for the moment but once I was off the phone I was trying not to be sad and try to talk through what they were thinking.
I requested we go to a diner so they took me to tambers and we got sandwiches there. We looked at Pinterest and talked about what that house would accomplish for us. And I tried to see that they did like it, I was just feeling a little misunderstood.
I was also just exhausted and wanted to go home. It was still pouring but we got back here in one piece and relatively dry.
James went to finish the laundry and I took a shower. Got cozy in bed with the warm laundry and tried to feel better.
We talked and it helped. But I am very dehydrated right now and it's starting to give me a headache. So it is time to sleep.
We have a chill day tomorrow. And I'm looking forward to it. I hope you all have a nice night tonight and stay safe wherever you are. I love you all. Goodnight.

I've been thinking about how to run a ttrpg campaign inspired by the structure of early (2001-2003) bionicle.
Not trying to replicate the precise details, mind. As cool as bionicle is aesthetically, I think this would work fine with just, humans living on an island. Normal villagers fill the role of matoran, and each village has an elder taking the role of a turaga. Then each PC would be a hero dedicated to one of the villages.
System shouldn't matter too much - though if you want to lean into the original elemental theme, you'll want a system that allows that (and maybe replace ice & rock to more clearly delineate character abilities - electricity/electromagnetism could be one). I don't think D&D-likes / other level-based systems would work too well to simulate the feel vs diegetic advancement by collecting equivalents to masks & such.
I think a pseudo-west marches hexcrawl would work pretty well for the style. You might not even to need a distinct map if the group isn't too familiar with bionicle; just overlay hexes on the mata nui map and start keying.
Tumblr media
Each PC would start on a solo adventure as they wake up on the beach and explore the nearby area, eventually finding a village in need. They help out that village for a bit, get to know the people there, then start to venture out tryin to delve into what's going on, and likely finding the other villages & heroes along the way.
As an example of that sort of structure - once the hero of the Ta-koro equivalent has dealt with the local immediate threats, they head down to Onu-koro to find out the situation with an ore shortage, where they meet another hero and join them for that quest.
The core balance, I think, would be to present problems that require multiple heroes to deal with, while also keeping a matter of villages having small, single-hero problems that need to be dealt with (as well as the manner of general defense against whatever new evil threat is going on). So the PCs will want to group up to make problems easier, but will need to split off on their own more often than not to help their village.
To encourage helping villages - perhaps each village has resource tracks for vital things, and each village has special resources they produce and certain resources they require. See: Ta-Koro smiths need the Ore from Onu-Koro as an example. Each village should have two special connections with other villages, and ideally each should have some specialty independent from this trade all the heroes will want to support (like Le-Koro's Gukko riders).
Each village should also have a Hope resource that dwindles after attacks & long absences from their hero and rises when a hero aids them or just spends time with them. Ideally should encourage the PCs to seek out closer bonds with their villages.
For the dangers & foes, the basic structure of "some dark evil living under the world with minions they send out" works fine. But the details need some tweaking.
Combine krana & kraata into one miserable organic parasite. I'm actually tempted to keep "infected masks" as a core concept, especially if switching the denizens all to normal humanoids. Maybe all the masks are organic kraata/na, who alter their shape to replicate someone's face and look normal, just a bit creepy, unless given a close inspection.
Instead of new threats replacing old (infected rahi -> bohrok -> rahkshi), new threats compound on the old. So we start with corrupted beasts wearing these organic masks, add in mechanical monsters powered by weaker kraata/na who can deliver them (including to beasts to join the swarm), and finally a set of elites near campaign's end (each with a key to reach the final scourge of the island).
My preferred route for "how do you beat the evil" would be to take Mangaia and turn it into a large, central dungeon of sorts that the heroes can only access certain parts of with given keys/plot coupons, with some hard locks and some soft locks, like the first entry is hard locked behind a good amount of plot coupons (found in interesting locations all around the area) to open the dungeon in the first place, so the heroes have more incentive to grow familiar with the entire island. Later keys the party has to collect by responding to how the island changes - like maybe in the second wave of evil, our bohrok-equivalents change the landscape to reveal older ruins / open up other segments of Mangaia / make secondary nests in the island. The last set of keys to reach the chamber of the makuta equivalent would be the kraata/na granted to the elites, taking the krana hunt from the bohrok saga, and then, of course, a big confrontation with the great evil below.

Videos Games #1, 7/30-8/5
I've always wanted a place to blab about whatever random game I'm playing. Livetweeting didn't work out, but maybe something like this will? If you don't want to see these posts, please block/filter the tag: #quetzlegaming
Games from this week: Pokemon Polished Crystal, Fool's Gold, Infinite Fusion. Palia MMO, and House Flipper (I fucking LOVE Johto)
Pokemon Polished Crystal
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've got two badges and I just hit Goldenrod! Been loving all the upgrades this hack added to the main game: most HGSS stuff like Lyra, Proton, etc, mild "alt colors" for pokemon based on their DVs (you can see it most clearly in my slightly green Furret there), expanded route maps and hidden grottos... Oh there's in game wonder trade too! That's how I got Skarmory and Clefairy. The last egg there is the Odd Egg, still wondering what 'mon I'm gonna get from it. Pokemon Fool's Gold
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wild looking, ain't it? Fool's Gold is a bit like... if every pokemon in Johto was a "regional form", including its OG cast. From left to right, that's Pidgeotto, Jolteon, Wartortle, Quilava, Corsola, and Houndoom. (Pidgeotto and Quilava are shiny, too.) (Yes I'm playing with the built in shiny code active). They're a pretty great team, have carried me through six badges. 🥰 Literally every pokemon is different, and I've loved playing through the game and seeing familiar faces with a fresh coat of pixels. Pokemon Infinite Fusion
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I went with a bit of a theme, obviously. Can you guess it? Can you guess all my favorite pokemons just from looking at one image? Jokes aside, I kind of loved how this team turned out in the end. Two witches and their familiars uwu. I played on the most chaotic randomizer settings, and I lucked out with it being generous with the eeveelutions. I beat IF this week, clearing Mt. Silver on Thursday. I know there's still some postgame stuff to do and I may get back to it eventually, but I think I'm ready to shelve the game for now. Some of the route design got hecka frustrating by the end. Man, I love Johto. Palia MMO
Tumblr media
I got in on the open beta this week! Just finished building my starter home last night. Really love the art style and environment design in this one, and goooosh the townsfolk are so cute. I already want to marry Jel. It's really scratching that farmer game itch, and I'm sure once they implement more minigames and areas to explore, I'm gonna get totally obsessed. Hopefully they'll have controller config set up for PC by full release, cuz my wrists are BEGGING me to play less KB+M games. Speaking of... House Flipper No pics for this one. I'm still in the early stages of the game where I only fix homes, not buy and flip 'em for sale, so I ain't got shit to show off. But GOSH it's like if they took AC's happy home paradise, mashed it with powerwash sim, and made a game *just* for me. It's so cathartic- at least when I'm not yelling at my customers for making TERRIBLE decisions that strip away any and all character in the home (yes, I'm complaining about the Michael B. job, you're a MONSTER sir/ma'am/they'm). Looking forward to making my first barbie dreamhouse at a later date.

Sugar Punch - Chapter 4
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content* SUGAR🥊 🥊PUNCH
Maddox Zane
What the fuck was I doing right now?
I was not only driving him home now but I had let someone into my car that I barely knew for more than two hours, all because of that fucking bruise on his jaw.
Every time I saw this guy, he had something fresh on his face, which was starting to piss me off the more I looked at it, I didn't need to think hard to know someone was doing this to him on purpose.
A parent?
A friend?
Fuck the list was endless but I didn't expect him to tell me who anytime soon, it was pretty fucking obvious he didn't want anyone in his business, which I get because I would feel the same way if I was him.
Shit, if I was him this would never have happened but he's not me and that's why he came to me, which makes me feel more conflicted to look out for the guy, for reasons I didn't understand.
He was a good kid, he did what I told him to and he did it without bother, he was weak as shit and had no stamina whatsoever but he had that determination and willpower to push through and that's what I started to like about him.
Look at me, being all soft and shit about this guy.
"Where do you live?" I ask, looking over to him, once I'm out of the carpark.
He started messing with his phone before he showed me his beat-up phone, the front screen was smashed but I could clearly see where he lived as he showed me a map, with directions to where he lived.
Taking a mental note, I nod my head and start to drive into the direction of his house, ignoring that insane feeling in my head that screams at me to just leave this guy alone and just train him, nothing else.
Yet for some unknown reason I just couldn't drop it, I had to offer him a fucking ride home like a real nice guy, when I was anything but I was simply an asshole, I liked few people and even then, I found it hard to be around them.
Theo was quiet, minded his own business and never asked questions, maybe that's why I didn't mind being around him?
It would explain what the fuck I'm doing with him right now, that's for sure.
"Thanks by the way," he started to say, mumbling as I looked at him as we hit a red light.
"For taking me home..."
I saw him blush, making me clench my jaw as I turned and focused on the red light, just wanting it to turn green already.
"It's no problem, it's the least I could do for pushing you this hard," I said, making him smile at me just as the light turned green.
"You didn't, I'm just not used to working out, I don't really like sports," he said, a cringe in his tone, making me laugh out.
"No shit."
"What do you do then, if not work out?" I ask, tapping my finger against the steering wheel, looking at him from the corner of my eye.
"I play games, or code... um, that's pretty much all I do," he said, slightly embarrassed by the fact.
Games and code?
So, he's one of those guys and now it makes sense from the t-shirt he showed up in on Saturday, I thought it looked familiar but I don't know games, so I wasn't sure.
"What about you?" he asked shyly, as I bit my lip from smiling.
"What do you do for fun?"
Fuck, what did I do other than work out?
I rarely drank and I never went out unless it was for a one-night stand or to go for a run, my life was shit compared to his, which didn't sound that bad, it sounded normal.
"Take a good hard guess," I said, deciding to put the radio on to fill some of the silence.
"I don't know."
I couldn't help but laugh, this guy was weird but it wasn't bugging me, if anything he was still acting like a puppy around me, all shy and nervous, I was used to it but I found it refreshing coming from him.
A guy of all people.
"I don't have much time outside of work and training, so I don't get out much," I say truthfully as he hums beside me, surprised by what I said.
"You think cause I'm a champion kickboxer I just fuck around and party?" I joke as he shifted in his seat, his cheeks turning a shade of pink.
"It's not always like that, I rarely ever get out to have fun, what you're doing sounds more fun."
Theo turns quiet as soon as I finish what I said and I had to wonder if I said something wrong, knowing that I didn't and he might just be sensitive to something I said, either way it didn't bother me.
I listened to the music and drove to where he told me he lived in comfortable silence as he never asked me anymore questions, or spoke another word to me, right up until I parked outside a house, I thought might be his.
"This is me," he says, as I looked at the house next to me.
It looked like a normal family house, nothing about it stood out to me, it looked like a quiet neighbourhood, nothing like the one I grew up on, I couldn't help but think this place didn't suit him.
"Thank you for driving me home, Maddox," Theo says to me, going into his pocket and taking out his wallet and a ten-dollar bill, handing it to me.
'What the actual fuck?'
"For taking me home..." he says, as I stare at him.
Sighing, I held back a grin as I shook my head and leaned back in my seat.
"Keep it, this ones on me so don't think too much about it."
He nodded his head and then unbuckled his seatbelt then he got out of my car and gently closed the door behind him, which I appreciated because I hated when people slammed my car door.
It felt weird leaving like this, I wanted to know who hit him and why, the shit was bothering me to the point it was now all I could think about when I saw his jaw, turning an ugly colour on his pale skin.
"Theo," I called out to him, before he walked too far from my car.
I go into my glove compartment and grab a piece of paper and a pen and start and write down my personal phone number, ignoring every thought telling me to stop what the hell I was doing and just drive away.
"Here, give me a call if you ever need a ride," I said, holding out the paper to him as he comes around the car, with furrowed brows.
I had already broken one of my rules to not get involved in anyone's life, especially someone I was training, so fuck it, what's giving my number going to do now?
I was already sure that this guy wasn't going to pass my number around for a few bucks.
"Why..." he spoke quietly, making me look at him so see his hands clenched tightly around the piece of paper.
"Never mind."
I watched as he kept his head down and walked back around the car to the path leading up to his house, I sat and watched as he unlocked the door and went inside, his eyes went to mine and he waved at me before closing the door behind him, leaving me sat there still watching his door.
Fucking hell, Maddox.
I quickly start the car and drive away from his house before I did something very fucking stupid, like turn my car off, knock on his door and demand who the hell hit him so I could drive over there and beat this punk's ass so hard he won't be able to walk again.
I needed to stop putting myself in this guy's life, if anything I should stay the hell away from him and have either Emma or Lenny take over his training, but I knew I couldn't physically do that, not when he was getting comfortable with me.
I drove back to the city and tried not to think anymore into it, it wasn't any of my business what he got up to outside of the gym and that's how it should stay.
If Theo wanted my help he'd ask and because he hasn't, I'm staying the fuck out of his business and only focusing on mine and mine alone.
As soon as I get home I'm going for a run and I'm going to forget all about today, after all, no good will come out of this if I start thinking too much into anything.

Hey Crow, can you write male reader as Tommy's son? not Charles, but maybe his older brother or an only child? Whatever works for you. We know that Tommy was more openly affectionate while Grace was alive, attentive too, but after she died (and I'm referring to his conversation with Charlie inside the wagon after Johnny Dogs took them to Wales) he shut himself off, and buries himself in his work, though he is still calm and warm towards Charlie in the scenes we've seen so far (+his bad health in S5.) That makes me think about reader wanting to spend more time with him especially after his marriage to Lizzie and the birth of Ruby; but then Tommy becomes a politician. Which brings me to this request - what do you think about reader breaking into Tommy's office in the House of Commons, hoping to get some of his attention but it backfires? Tommy yells at him instead and reader tries to explain himself but Tommy wouldn't hear it. I just really need some angry Tommy/dad Tommy content and I really enjoy your portrayal of him in my first two requests. I hope that this one is okay, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you sped off in a good sprint, you thought of your uncle Finn. He had driven you into the city after you lied to him about ‘wanting to spend time with your favorite uncle’. Either you were taking on more of your stepmother’s traits or Finn was the dumbest Shelby in the family. It didn’t matter in the end. You got to exactly where you wanted to be.
You had been studying London city maps for a while and it paid off. Funny how maps worked and told anyone where everything was. It was a new concept that delighted you. Your father would be so proud that you got here all by yourself. Trouble was, how to get inside.
“I’m a Shelby,” you told yourself. “And I can do anything.” You eyed the alley to the side, noting a delivery man loading a cart with food and tea items. Bingo. You easily crawled underneath, stowing away. As your plan worked, a rush of excitement ran through you. The delivery man wheeled the cart inside without noticing his extra cargo. However, you only got as far as a storage room. You watched an aide load a different tea cart.
Dad took tea. He took tea often. It was a good, calculated risk, you thought. When the aide was turned around, you crawled into the second cart. You tucked yourself even further as the aide placed more tea cups underneath the cart. You kept your sigh of relief to yourself as the second cart started to roll down the hallway. You tugged back the thick, white tablecloth to read the office names. Williams. No. Baskins. No. Dick Johnson? You snickered, still no.
And there it was. Thomas Shelby, MP.
Yes.
The aide slowed the cart pass your father’s office. After making sure the coast was clear, you rolled yourself out. The lockpick kit you lifted from Finn earlier proved useful now. It wasn’t as easy as you thought it would be. At first, you had the tools all switched around. Then, a few people walked by, and you his yourself behind the second cart again. Frustration started to give you a decent headache until you heard a satisfying click.
“Just wait till Dad sees me,” you snuck inside, leaving the door wide open. “He’s going to be so surprised!” The office was much smaller than you thought. Your dad’s office back home was twice the size. Dusty books and boring colors didn’t capture your attention. The windows didn’t have any curtains to hide behind, so all gray daylight streamed into the room. No secret passageways or nonsense here. You scrambled underneath your father’s desk once you heard oncoming footsteps.
Ah, a perfect place to surprise him. This plan was your best yet. Everything was going so well! You couldn’t wait for your father to come in. He would be so proud of you and your cleverness. This definitely warranted a good reward. Ice cream? A tour of the building? It didn’t matter. All you really wanted was for your dad to tell you how clever you were and smile at you.
You couldn’t remember the last time he did smile at you.
A set of familiar footsteps stopped in the doorway. You heard the distinct sound of a gun clicking into place. It was subtle, but you knew the sound. Last month, your father taught you how to use a gun and why it wasn’t a toy. Your excitement couldn’t be contained much longer. You jumped out from underneath the desk with your hands raised.
“Papa! It’s me! Look! I made it all the way here!” you shouted. As your eyes adjusted to the daylight again, you were not greeted with your father’s smile. Instead, Thomas’ breath hitched, his grip tightened.
“What the hell, Y/N? You nearly fucking—what are you doing here?” Thomas berated you. His hand immediately closed the office door behind him. Your face started to fall.
“I was reading the map of London and I figured how to get here,” you gave him your proudest smile. “And now that I’m here, we can spend the whole day together! Isn’t it great?” You waited for your father to congratulate you. Thomas grabbed the scruff your shirt collar and forced you into one of his office chairs. You winced at his grip. He never grabbed you like that before.
“You’re supposed to be at school.” He sounded angrier than you thought he would be.
“Uncle Finn took me out. I tricked him! You’re right. He is the dumbest Shelby,” you laughed. When your father didn’t laugh with you, yours faded. His eyes glared down at you.
“And did you stop to think that this was a good idea?” His question cut into you. When you didn’t answer right away, he shook your chair, startling you. Why was he so angry? You made a good plan and you executed it perfectly.
“I just missed you,” you admitted. “I never see you anymore.” Hurt flashed in your father’s eyes. You watched him exhale a long breath except no cigarette smoke came out of his mouth. Thomas tucked the gun away. He walked towards his desk.
“I could’ve seriously hurt you. Guns are not a toy, remember?”
“I remember. But, you wouldn’t hurt me.” You mustered a different smile this time. It didn’t matter if your plan was clever or not. You could just settle with being here with him. Thomas dialed the phone on his desk. A new excitement made your heart beat faster. “Are you going to order tea for us?”
“No,” Thomas flatly told you. “You’re going back to school where you belong.”
“What? No,” you shook you head. You jumped out of the chair and rushed towards his side. Your hands grabbed his suit jacket. If you could just hold him really tight, like you did when you were younger, maybe he’ll understand. “I want to be here with you.”
Thomas pulled you off. “This isn’t the place for children.”
“But—
“Stop this right now, and listen to me.” You looked up. This was not your father. This was wrath. His tone felt like a knife sinking into your chest. “You may think this was a clever thing to do, but you’re wrong. This is, by far, the dumbest thing you have ever done. What if someone hurt you? Grabbed you? Would you like that? For a stranger to come and grab you and take you away?”
“No,” your voice broke. You bit your lip down hard. You heard someone knock at the door. An aide tucked their head inside.
“Afternoon, Oswald. If you could please wait with my son outside, his uncle will be by to take him back to school soon.” Thomas bent down to you. He gripped your wrist as if he was hurting you on purpose. “You will not do this again. You hear me?” You nodded. “Say you’re not going to do something stupid like this again.”
“I’m not going to do anything stupid ever again.” Your eyes more drawn to the floor than to the man in front of you. “I’m sorry, Papa.”
As the aide guided you out of Thomas’ office, you went over the plan in your head again. Every single thing you did was thought-out. Every move was deliberate. None of it worked. You glanced back at your father. He ran his hand down his face. The same frown you had gotten used to hardened on his face.
This was your fault. You resolved that he would never smile at you again.

Purpled did SO WELL this MCC, especially for a newbie! He was super critical of his performance even though his scores this event indicate that he could be the next S-tier player. There's obviously always room for improvement, but he did so good overall, and especially in movement game. He got 15th individual overall, and his team got 5th. 5th place is insane for having two new players. Both Purpled and Elaina did amazing, especially for being new players. I'm going to go game by game and talk about his performance. Starting in Parkour Tag, Purpled got SIXTH overall. Out of everyone else who had played the game many times before (except Scar and Elaina). And he had disadvantages, he wasn't familiar with the map like many of the other contestants were, plus many other teams recognized how good Orange was at Parkour Tag so they sent their best hunters for them. That's not even mentioning all the stress and pressure he was feeling. Despite all of this, Purpled nearly got top five on his first game in his first ever MCC. He never failed as hunter to get all the other team, won 3/4 rounds as hunter, got everyone in around 30 seconds each time, and survived multiple rounds as the runner. In Gridrunners, his team again did shockingly well for a team made up of half new people. Their comms could've been a little cleaner, but for a team that I don't think had practiced all together ever (or maybe once or twice off stream?) before the event, they did great. Rocket Spleef Rush could've gone better for sure, but Purpled had one of the biggest disadvantages and had to deal with one of the biggest learning curves of figuring out how to work the boosters and the rockets. Plus, he doesn't play basically any form of Minecraft that has elytra, and had very little experience. The only thing that could've helped him here would be more time on Rocket Spleef on the practice server, which he couldn't really do because it was announced only a day before the event. Even though 2/3 rounds he didn't do very well and died super early on, the second round he made it to the top 15. His first death was due to not knowing how the mechanics worked, because he had never played it before and there was no way he could've known exactly how the updraft worked, his second death was because the second he landed on something it got fireballed, and his final death was due to getting stuck in a block while trying to use the updraft. These were all at minimum 60 percent luck-based. Sky Battle again had messy comms (again, probably due to little to no full team practice prior to the event), and in the first round all of Purpled's teammates died relatively early, leaving him the only one left alive. And he still got two kills, one of them on Illumina. The second round, he died to TNT because his blocks were in a different slot than they usually were in for bedwars, so he wasn't used to it. The third round, he ended up jumping down to the center, which is always chaos near the end of the game, and got two kills before getting killed himself. All three rounds he did all the bridging for his team, and never fell or got hit off while bridging. TGTTOS is where he really popped off. His performances in the Terra Swoop map can be attributed to the fact that he had no experience doing the map with no view of where he needed to go because it was blocked by so many people. He got in a bad position, but still clutched it up and got the team bonus. In the next map, he fell off, but still managed to get top 15. After that, he got 2nd on the Siege map, which was because he had thought out a route before and his mechanical skills allowed him to accomplish it well, barely getting behind Fruitberries, probably by less than a second. That's INSANE for his first time. This happens again on the next map, even though Purpled gets hit off. Then the next map is Shallow Lava, and Purpled gets FIRST! Even with never playing the map before, he beats out everyone else. In Industry, he misplaces blocks pretty early on, but still manages to get 8th place. Overall, he gets 3rd place. He's
never played ANY of these maps before, and most of the others have played 5/6 of them. Literally HOW. There's not much to say for Ace Race other than it's a gamemode notorious for having the biggest learning curve that's extremely difficult for new players, plus a bunch of tryhard sweats who know the perfect skips in order to get the best possible times, and yet Purpled still gets TOP FIFTEEN. That is absolutely insane! A little more experience and I can see him getting top 10 easily in this. Build Mart was really unfortunate for this team. I think the biggest reasons Purpled and his team didn't do very well on this was messy communication and inexperience. I don't think Purpled watched many, if any Build Mart vods, which meant that he didn't know where a lot of the items were. He wasted a good minute or two just looking for the colors, and his team's comms could definitely be improved to be cleaner. They still got 8th place though, which isn't great but it could've been much worse. His block placement is very fast and accurate though, so I think with a good build mart player like Grian or Hbomb on his team, he could do very well here. Finally, Sands of Time. Again, a lot of this was either due to messy comms, Purpled's stress, and inexperience. Elaina had trouble finding sand around the middle, Purpled forgot a lot of sand and forgot to destroy a lot of spawners, but their team also opened three vaults. He also marked his pathway as completed, even though he didn't go down every path and had missed a parkour, and spent a lot of time fighting monsters that he could've just ran past. However, mechanically, Purpled did very well on the parkour and killing monsters aspects. He does just need more experience and to feel less pressure so he doesn't tunnel focus on one thing. Purpled recognizes a lot of the issues he had in games, and I'm sure he'll be careful of them happening in the future, meaning he'll improve incredibly by next MCC. He has a lot of potential in SOT with a good coach. In summary: Even with dealing with huge disadvantages and an even bigger learning curve, Purpled was still able to do SO well, and if he studies more Build Mart vods, practices more Rocket Spleef, and is less stressed on his next MCC performance, I see him easily becoming one of the best players in the event. Plus, in a lot of these games, as time went on, you could clearly see his rapid improvement as he got used to the gamemode and understood the meta better. He was very hard on himself about his performance on stream despite doing very well, and I'm so excited to see how he does next MCC :)

The Adventure's of a Teenager that Somehow Got Hired at One of the World's Biggest Franchises, Fazbear's Entertainment Pizzaplex, as the Daycare's Attendant's Assistant.
Your job?
Well, it basically reads
"Keep the Sun and Moon animatronic at bay, don't let them go crazy and cover up things animatronics can't do 👍👍"
And what can they can not do?
This is, a PLATONIC x Reader
(Alright this is some stupid thing I came up with, I read every like a lot of fanfic of these two robots *except for, the, the, the, hundreds, thousands of... The questionable fics that I am very concerned about but like if u read them, you do you 👍* so Y/N here is gender neutral, and personality wise, it combines with mine, my friends, and the general internet, so yeah. Mostly comedy and shitposts, so if u wanna laugh at stupid things or cringe and vibe, enjoy 👍👍 expect typos and wrong grammar in this)
First Meetings-
'Damn...' You thought to yourself. 'I am, working. I AM WORKING. At a job... I FEEL LIKE AN ADULT NOW.'
This has gotta be one of the most exciting bus rides you've ever gotten, along with school field trips, seeing your friends and for vacations.
Sure, you were very very nervous and you have been screaming into your pillow every night this week. Once you step into that Pizzaplex you low-key always wanted to visit but didn't have time plus all of your friends are in different countries, you didn't have the chance to visit, you're going to be adulting by yourself for the very first time.
So, you're exited. And that's okay since you already listed every single bad thing that might happen before you went to sleep last night.
Like, Karens. Oh you're so gonna beat their asses, IF, if, you're going to meet one. Getting lost, you're kinda, bad with directions but after maybe a week you would get to know where every single bathroom stall there is in that damn massive Plex.
And lots lots more.
All of your friends were screaming and cheering you on and hyping you up in the discord server you all created when you were starting highschool. It was great.
The bus stopped, and that would be a 20 minute walk to the pizza Plex.
It was around 6 AM, you're expected at 8 AM.. sheeesssshhhh. I mean I can't blame ya I would be totally super early on my first job as well, and that would give you more time to explore the place!
Pulling out that fancy fancy badge, card? You're just gonna call it a badge to make it sound a bit professional. It opened the staff door right beside the main entrance, and woah. This place is damn huge.
You almost screamed when a, uhh, staff bot? Yeah staff bot, when a staff bot zoomed passed you, mopping the floor.
Then BLA BLA BLA you go the management then BLA BLA
You thought to yourself, I'm bored I wanna do my job already!
"Why are you here so early, kid?" A mechanical voice was heard towards your right when you walked out of the management office.
And oh my gosh it's Roxy. The Roxy, the Roxy you see online and Tumblr, who everyone loves and adores.
Oh my gosh.
"The place doesn't even open at 8 AM, employees are required to be here at 7 and it's, 6. And you look a bit, young to be working, and people only above 18 can work."
"Does a week after turning 18 count?" You ask, with the sweet sweet innocent you have in your eyes.
Roxy, amused, gave you a look, then laughed.
Holy shit, you made one of them laughed.
"I like your energy, kid, now run along. Familiarize yourself with the place._ Roxy then proceeded to walk away, slaying.
"Oh okay, I will! bye bye." You said, before running into the opposite direction of the daycare, checking your map, and running into the right direction.
Now now, there are two ways to go to the daycare. One, the long way, two, you just go up the escalator and a big entrance to the daycare is right there.
Now, you use your big brain, and made a big decision by yourself.
If you take the long way, you will have lesser time to get to know your future work mate, BUT BUT, you get to explore the plex more.
But, if you take the escalator, you won't be able to explore the work place, discovering and learning more about its history within the company and possibly meet new people.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
You take the escalator lmao.
It's a good thing because
"Wait bro I get into the daycare with a slide??" You said to no one as you look at the tube slide entrance.
You look left and right, and to the big ass golden statue of your future work mate, work mates? There's two of them, Sun and Moon, huh.
There's no other entrance.... But you must keep your adult dignity- eh who cares
You climbed into the slide and slid off, making a weak woooohhhh sound and with an oof, fall into a ballpit.
Holy hell a ballpit, you haven't been to one in a while.
You quickly text ur group of friends in a discord server about this, but stopped when you quickly heard a cheer, that wasn't yours.
You look up onto what seemed to be a balcony, to see your work mate!! It was Sun!! Now he's jumping down to the ballpit that you're in, completely disappeared.
You wait for a while for him to pop up, but nothing.
"Wait, YO!" You struggled to move in the ballpit, trying to get to the part where your work mate had fallen. "DUDE BRO. YOU OKAY?
Silence.
"Aw hell naw I did not get my work mate killed on my first da- AH WHAT THE FA-"
"LAAAAAAANGGGGGuageee!!!" A perky sing song voice shouted from underneath your picked you up. Holy hell you felt like a some child again.
"Language! My new friend! Holy guacamole! Are you the new hire!! You must be our new assistant!!" He puts you down, helping you stand on the floor. "It's so good to have someone with us, human as well! Children aren't so use to a big ol' clunk of metal taking care of them, but they get better after a while! It's wonderful to have some sort of human figure with them!"
Sun, was very, energetic. Always moving about and all. Damn, spare the energy for the poor please, need that for them school studies 👍
"Yes I'm the new hire guy!! I'm (your first name and last name because professional lmao) but just call me Y/N."
"I'm Sundrop! Friends call me Sun! And we're going to the bestest of friends forever and ever!" His head spun around. "We have around 45 minutes until the children arrive, but some come in early! So we got to get all tidy!"
Immediately agreeing and running off to do your task, you SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP the floor, or vacuum, and mopped it.
Then soon, the little gremlims are out of the play. But it was a piece of cake since even though you always claimed you hated children, you somehow, deep down, you would kick many asses to keep their butts safe.
After a few hours, it was almost closing time and your supposed shift to end, but management has requested a last minute take over for about 4 hours, which was okie dokey since ya didnt mind, it was a Friday after all, so no classes.
However, Sun was not okay.
"YO SUN!!" You called over when you were done putting all of the plastic balls into the ballpit.
Sun immediately looked over to your direction.
"Management called and I need to stay for 4 hours more after this! I feel so important now!" You pump a fist dramatically, as if this was the best thing that has ever happened in your life.
Sun looked distraught.
"But, but! You might get tired!"
"I stayed up until 4 AM to finish a group project that none of my group mates helped with, I'm experienced!"
"A group project?- Nevermind of that but, your parents-!"
"They trust me since I'm a mighty adult now!"
"Well, dear, you are still a growing teen at heart. Don't forget the 'teen' at 18!"
"Wellllll, you're right.."
Sun felt relieved.
"But I'mma still stay, I'll just get some more arts and crafts supplies!"
"Wha- wait wait!-"
"Be back in like, 30 minutes!"
You pushed the door open and it closes by itself.
Sun stood there like a dumbass. He sighed, idk how tho.
"Moon, please don't scare them away. They're still a kid.. hey, I know that laugh. Seriously! Don't scare them they aren't like the security guards- oh now I know you're not listening."
..
After a while, you pushed the door open with your foot, but was surprised when you were met with darkness.
"Bruh." You try to adjust your eyes into the darkness, it was oddly silent.
"Eyo Sun? Bestie?" You called out for him, and no reply.
Annoyed and worried, you decided to keep on calling out for him, by shouting every single nickname you know in internet slang history.
"Sun? Sunny? Mr Sun Sun Mr Golden Sun? Broski?"
You checked into on the tubeslides. Nothing.
"Bestie are you thereeee?" Your voice echoed, nothin.
"Bruh, my work mate disappeared, rip."
You went towards the security desk that glowed in the dark.
"SUNNN! I'mma just, uhh, I'mma just put the stuff on the desk!" You do as you say. "I got them glitter, some of them are in rainbow colored! I got cool stickers, very cute. Some googly eyes, heh, always wanted those."
Then you went silent when you heard bells jingle behind you.
"Ah! Sun! Why are you so quie-"
"Little children like you, must be in bed now"
A scary figure with red eyes looked down upon you.
"AH WHAT THE HELL- AHHHH!" You automatically punched the thing and skipped away.
The thing fell down and grunted, making a pained noise, somehow. Do robots even feel pain? Idk man.
You got your phone out of your pocket and pointed the flashlight at the thing, it's Moon, from the statue. One of your work mates.
Panic and guilt flooded over you.
"Oh my gosh x6 IM SO SORRY SORRY!" You cried out as you knelt beside the Moon guy. "BRO BRO DUDE IM SO SO SORRY I DIDNT MEAN IT SORRY IT WAS INSTINCT I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD PUNCH THAT HARD IM SORRY!!"
Your hands clasped together and hesitantly tried to get Moon up.
In Moon's mind, he didn't even felt any pain, he was just, a tad bit shock how much bravery this, child has. An adult child.
"You..."
You went silent.
"Should be in bed now." The Moon guy said.
You checked your phone. It was 10:30 PM.
"It's just 10:30 PM though."
Moon blinked. "What do you mean by that, it is clearly past your bed time."
"But I don't have a bedtime! I sleep at like, 12 AM at best!"
"Naughty naughty..."
Moon stood up, holy shit you just realize how tall he was.
Before Moon was able to speak, you speak.
"Bruh, why are you so SOOO tall! Spare some height for the short please, thank you!" You told him, standing up.
Moon sighed, robotically. "If only you have sleep a little more, you would be as tall as us by now. But you are not, the earlier the better.."
"Well even if I sleep now, my boss wouldn't be happy. And I'm not sure if I'm allowed to sleep bro"
Moon grumbled, clearly, he is working with someone who still is a child at heart. So he thought of an idea.
"How about this." You gasp in amazement as Moon slowly flew up into the ceiling, disappearing into the darkness.
"Since I still have to patrol the area, let's play a little game.."

“This is quite the view,” Fyodor smiles to himself, fingers treading around his chin like creeping vines. “Yokohama has a sophistication to it after all.”
“Fyodor,” His name from your mouth rolls out slower compared to the cars on the road near you both to give the impression that your patience is unscathed. “We’re lost.”
Yokohama isn’t too huge of a prefecture for you and Fyodor to get lost in while exploring for the sake of the upcoming Cannibalism scheme, but since you both insist to check out even the smallest of details because one can never be too perfect, exploring took the whole day. Outlining the landmarks on a map would have sufficed, but you and Fyodor agreed that travelling in first-person is more helpful in discovering things that can trick the enemies, and that agreement led you travelling together.
It wasn’t hard for someone to get drunk in this cozy atmosphere and forget why they were here, especially if they’re with someone they trust and are fond of. For you, that person happens to be this pale and sickly genius.
The foreign building structures, the bustling unfamiliar crowd, the compact scent from street food vendors you've never tasted, and the crunch of dry leaves under your feet, they are all different from home, but the striking allure and exoticness are undeniable. Hence, you and Fyodor lost track of time and direction. Not to mention his needy eye for aesthetic slows down the pace.
You don’t want to say this aloud, but this atmosphere and mood, doesn’t it feel like going on a date?
Never mind that—you both were having too much fun brainstorming for ideas, too many alleys to check out, too many manholes to note, too many dead ends to utilize for you to recognize both of you have strayed off the planned route. On the bright side is, Fyodor found the ideal, secluded, dead-end alley for him to station his sniper to attack a certain detective, but the bad side is, while chatting with him about how and where to allocate your pawns, you and Fyodor didn’t pay attention to where you’re going.
Where in Yokohama are you now?
Neither of you planned to walk this far around the prefecture, so you can’t pinpoint your position on the map inside your pocket.
“I have great confidence in my memory,” Fyodor gazes around. “I can find our way back.”
“Then why are we still here after—” you look at your watch. “—half an hour?”
“I thought that while having the opportunity, we should take our time to know this area better. There’s artistry in any form of structure even in those we will decimate soon.” He pivots his head to you. “Wouldn’t you agree?”
He sounds like he’s beating around the bush. He won’t admit he got both of you lost.
You hum. “You still don’t know where we are,” You bring the focus back to your point. “Let me take my turn navigating our way back home,” You reach for the minimap in your pocket. “You’ve had your share of getting us lost.”
You wonder how in the world a prodigy like Fyodor affords to get lost. You consider the possibility of him being distracted by this little trip (that feels like a date) itself since you caught yourself doing that, but you shake off that thought. You ought to stop being delusional.
“As you wish,” He smiles at your proposal. “But only because you insist.”
You make wild guesses of your current position by observing the buildings and shops, try to figure out where you are on the map, and take the lead in guiding yourself and Fyodor back. He follows your headship without any protests, taking the same turn as you elegantly.
You catch Fyodor also observing the map with you while he matches his legs in coordination with yours. His eyes turn to you and his raised dark brows ask you why you’re staring at him.
“Is it because you’re not confident I can take us back that you’re watching the map with such focus?” You bait, half smiling.
You want him to admit that he trusts you. It’s a pleasant feeling, hearing someone like him value your judgement.
He made a soft chortle from his chest. “Impossible, my dear,”  Fyodor says.
He stops in his tracks.
The sudden halt makes you pause too, and you lower the map to look at his whole face.
You jolt when he takes your hand with his icy pale fingers, guiding your palm to rest on his chest. His coolness mixing with your warmth creates a perfect state of equilibrium that mirrors both your difference yet similarity with him.
“I simply enjoy our mundane little detour.” His voice's vibration from his chest rumbles your hand. His smile is like cotton, but the sharp violet in his eyes holds power over you. “Allow my heartbeat to be the witness of honesty in my words.”
His heartbeat thumps in an orderly calming pattern, his chilly skin still sheathing your hand to press it against his chest.
Ah.
So maybe getting lost isn’t so bad after all.
Tumblr media
Your eyebrows quirk when you notice the same scenery outside the car window, forehead matted against the cold glass. “Are you sure this is the right way?”
Sigma’s lips tense down, still staring at the road ahead. “Uhm, yes?” His eyes dart at you for one second.
The two of you, Sigma and yourself, are on your way to visit the last potential location for Sky Casino to expand its branch down below. He demonstrated more than enough faith in your judgement when he invited you to travel to the cities under the sky, offering you a ride in his lavish car. If it were with another person, you wouldn’t see too much into this situation. But with Sigma, it’s a whole different story.
It was the having a luncheon together in a prestigious restaurant of a five star resort with him ordering the best dish for you with a warm smile when he described your order to the waiter. Another being his gentlemanly mannerism, he made a shallow bow when allowing you into his car and opened the door for you, also holding your hand as you got in. The hospitality and elegance from his demeanour excites your heartbeat.
In Sky Casino, he may be your employer and you his employee, but with just the two of you, he makes you feel like the most treasured royalty.
Sigma clears his throat, his fist in front of his mouth while the other around the steering wheel. “I’m certain I’ve memorized every route for the casino’s potential branches.” He glances at the note on the dashboard where the addresses are.
You raise your eyebrows seeing a tower ahead. “And I’m certain we’ve passed that tower in front of us at least twice.”
The expression Sigma makes is made of mild surprise, frustration, and gloom.
"Let's face it," You slouch down your seat. "We're lost."
Sigma repeatedly looks from the scribbled map on the dashboard to the road back and forth, fingers squeezing the wheel in uneasiness. “I could’ve sworn we took the right turn this time…”
Your shoulders deflate at the expression Sigma makes. You feel bad for putting it bluntly. “How about I drive while asking for directions from the locals? You must be tired since we’ve been travelling for hours.”
His head turns swiftly at you, long dual-coloured hair whishing. “You know where we are?” He asks before quickly turning his sight back to the road, stealing glances.
“Not exactly, but I’m familiar with the local dialect and I can ask for directions easily.”
The hesitation and disappointment are still evident on Sigma’s face. You purse your lips, hesitant in how to phrase your next words. “Employers employ people to be assisted with the workload and to have someone to share concerns with. I’m not here just for you to treat me like royalty, I’m also here to assist you.”
Sigma huffs a smile, taking chances to look at your face now and then. “Do you mind the treatment for a royalty?”
“No.” You deny a little too fast. You clear your throat, ignoring the heat in your cheeks. “Absolutely not,” You speak slower. “But even royalties have to give back, right?”
He fails to hide his laughter. He sounds so free, unrestrained, and possibly the most relaxed that day, making your cheeks swell with a prideful smile. As long as he gets to laugh, you don't mind sounding silly. “By asking for directions while talking using a local dialect?” He asks.
Sigma lightly giggles. “Alright, you win.” He slows down the car, eyeing the rear mirror to make a quick stop at the side of the road. “I’m afraid to crash us from feeling exhausted anyways.”
He makes a parallel park and the car comes to a full stop, engine still smoothly running and vibrating the interior.
You ruffle his silky dual-coloured hair as smooth as the leather seat. “Don’t be too hard on yourself,” You say, tinting his cheeks pink. “Allow me to treat you like royalty from now on.”
When you retract your hand, Sigma’s head automatically follows with the yearning to get more touch.
Your eyes enlarge and so does his. He whirls away, hands hiding his face. Loud and uncontrolled laughter erupts from your belly despite you covering your mouth to tone it down. You want to stop—but your chest keeps heaving out the joy, raising your shoulders to your ears.
Sigma shrinks in embarrassment, his long hair curtaining his face as he buries his head to his knees. He looks like a tulip in that driver’s seat. With his fair pale skin, even from your distance you can see the red on his face. “Please don’t tell anyone about it…” His voice can be barely distinguished from your untamed laugh.
“The secret’s safe with me.” You wipe a tear as your laughter slows down. You exhale a wide smile, unbuckling your seatbelt. “Alright, let’s switch now before the sun sets.”
“Wait!” Sigma springs out from his position and hurries his hand to land on yours before you open your door. You tilt your head, and he responds with “Don’t open the door yet.”
He dashes out and jogs to get to your side of the car. He opens your door and stands on the side with a shallow bow, his empty hand offered to you. You stifle a giggle when you accept his hand that gently helps you up until you fully stand outside.
You grin for the umpteenth time at Sigma’s chivalry that reminds you of the demonstration of romance during the regency era. It’s simple things like this that boosts your confidence and comfort around him. You can definitely get used to this.
That is until Sigma’s bow deepens so his lips kiss your hand.
You tense. You expected a normal escort when stepping out. The unforeseen princely kiss and his smile send you on haywire—why are you even there? Why did you go all this way into an unfamiliar city? Just to get kissed? To have him act like your Prince? Why is he even kissing you?
“Even without disembarking a journey I still get lost in your touch and laughter.” He straightens his body, elevating your hand to stay on his lips and chin. You feel his breath on your skin. “Thank you for giving me the honour of getting lost with you.”
Then you remember.
You're there to be with him.

There was something different about letting her feet hit the soil under the circumstances she was currently in. Y/N was used to coming out every once and a while with the hunting team, but this. . .this was different. She wasn't about to stay near by and hurry back to the bunker before the hour was up. No, she was free. She could go wherever she wanted. She could go beyond the 'walls' that the hunting team had established.
And there was no better feeling than knowing all of that.
Y/N looked around with a soft smile playing at her features, closing her eyes for a moment to soak in the sunlight before opening them again and letting out a sigh of content. She turned to Joel after that, her smile only growing at the sight of the boy taking in his surroundings.
The girl had almost forgotten that her best friend hadn't stepped foot on the surface in seven years. Joel looked around as if he couldn't believe he was actually outside and Y/N chuckled softly as she watched him inhale deeply through his nose, his face all scrunched up in a way that she could only find adorable.
Joel's eyes shot open at her laughter, playfully glaring at the girl who just smiled before gesturing towards the map in his hands. "Where to, boss?" Y/N asked.
Joel stared at her for a moment, smiling softly at the way her eyes were squinted in his direction, her hand attempting to shadow her eyes from the sun. The boy cleared his throat and looked away, his hands fumbling with the map which he quickly opened.
Y/N walked over to his side, her arm resting against his shoulder while the two both looked at the paper with looks of concentration. "Where are we?" Joel muttered, his eyes flickering over the map confused. "Well, it's not super useful."
"Don't say that. Look right there. It says avoid that area because our lives depend on it. That's useful," Y/N tried to argue. "Besides, it's the best we could do with such little time since someone decided within a span of five minutes he was leaving the bunker for the first time in seven years."
Joel shot her a look and the girl just winked at him. Letting out a small sigh, Joel began to fold up the map before saying, "You've gone on hunting trips before. Which way should we go?"
Y/N was silent for a moment as she looked around, her finger gently tapping against her lips while she surveyed the area. Finally, she looked to Joel, the boy responding with a smile for they were finally going to start on their journey. However, it quickly disappeared as she said, "I have no clue."
"What? Robin," Joel complained.
"Joel," Y/N mimicked while the boy sighed and scratched his head.
"How do you not know? You've been out here plenty of times," Joel pointed out.
"Yeah, but Connor was always the one with the compass," Y/N explained, her voice softening a bit at the mention of her friend before she hardened and looked up at the boy. "And seeing as that compass is in a decapitated monster's stomach, I don't think I'm going to be very useful."
Joel sighed before looking around again, nervously biting his lip as he tried to decide which way was the best to go. "Okay, well, you know what? We know we gotta head west, right? Well, let's just. . .do that," Joel muttered.
"Wow. I never would've thought of that one," Y/N snorted earning a small glare from the boy.
"I could really go for some non-sarcastic advice right about now," Joel told her while the girl chuckled. "Come on, Robin. Which way should we go?"
"I'm telling you, Joel, I have no idea. Just chose a direction and we'll go with that, okay? I'll follow you whenever you go," she assured him, her words making him still for a moment before he let out a shaky breath and looked around.
"Start with something easy," Joel muttered before finally gesturing one way. "West," he declared before beginning to walk that way, Y/N trotting along behind him.
However, they didn't go every far before Joel was turning on his feet, his hands grabbing ahold of Y/N’s shoulders to turn her around and push her back in the other direction. "Nope, it's this way," he said. "West is this way."
Once again, they didn't get far before Joel let out a sigh and came to a stop. Y/N stopped as well and looked to her best friend as he glanced around. "Shit," he muttered making the girl laugh. Joel glanced her way and the sight of her smile mixed with the sound of her laughter was enough to make him chuckle too.
"Shut up," Joel laughed, gently punching the girl's arm while she just smiled his way. His heart skipped a beat at the action and Joel had to look away, his smile not as bright but still gracing his face. "Split the difference," he finally decided as he gestured forward. "We'll go this way. Done. First decision made."
Y/N cracked her neck before hopping into place beside Joel. The boy looked to her in amusement and she just flashed him that smile of hers.
"Let's do this."

Dear Aimee,
I am doing it. I'm really doing it!
Honestly, I thought it'd be way worse too. So far, it's not too bad.
Robin makes it easy. She fills the silence with some stories of past hunting trips she's been on. Not really what I want to hear while walking through the very place that holds all the monsters she's talking about. But it's kind of impossible not to get lost in the way she tells a story. She just gets so excited and there's this sparkle in her eyes that makes you want to listen to her talk forever.
We've seen a lot of signs of death, but no actual death, so cross your fingers.
Trying to stay positive. Weather's nice. Getting some fresh air. Spending time with my best friend.
What else can I tell ya?
- - -
"You should've seen the look on Tim's face," Y/N told the boy, her body shaking with laughter as she flashed a smile Joel's way. "But how was I supposed to know that cutting off the monster's head would make bile shoot out of the hole and onto him?"
"Gross," Joel laughed, shaking his head at the girl who just chuckled at the memory. "That's why Tim came back one day and showered for like an hour."
"Yeah. And then everyone got mad at him because he was using so much water," Y/N said earning another round of laughter from the two as they walked through a bus graveyard they had stumbled upon a few minutes prior.
A comfortable silence fell among the two at that point, small smiles still on their faces as they walked through the tall grass and looked around. "Oh," Joel muttered, his arm shooting out and in front of the girl as he slowly backed away from one of the buses. "Watch out. Monster eggs."
Y/N looked at what he was talking about and grimaced before looking around them. "Where do you think the monsters that came out of those eggs went?" she questioned, continuing to glance around while Joel went behind her and began to push her forward.
"I don't really plan on sticking around to find out," Joel admitted, pushing the girl the rest of the way out of the bus graveyard before joining her by her side once again as they approached what seemed to be the remnants of an old neighborhood.
"I wonder what our houses look like now," Y/N muttered, her gaze on the house in front of them that was overrun with vines and other greenery. "You think our things are still there?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe," Joel said, but his gaze was on the ground where he could see something red sticking up off the grass. He bent down to pick the object up, a small smile appearing on his face as he wiped off the grass and realized that the object was a frisbee. "Cool," he muttered causing the girl to look his way. His eyes flickered over the faded lettering as he whispered, "Wham-O."
The words had no sooner left his mouth before the familiar screeching of a monster filled the air. Y/N reacted without hesitation, her hands flying up to grab her katanas which she had by her side within a second.
"No," Joel whispered, the disappointment of already running into a monster after not even a full day on the road almost as strong as his nerves. He subconsciously took a step closer to Y/N who was still holding her katanas up in the air, her eyes narrowed as she surveyed the area.
"We should find somewhere to take cover," Y/N finally said after realizing the monster wasn't as close as she had initially thought.
"Run and hide," Joel remembered, nodding his head slightly. He looked around for a moment before gesturing towards the house. "Hide in the house. Hide in the house."
Y/N stuffed her katanas back into their sheaths before grabbing ahold of Joel's hand. "Come on," she whispered, dragging the boy forward while he quickly stuffed the frisbee into his backpack.
They hurried to the house as quickly and as quietly as possible, only letting go of each other's hand once they reached the door that was wide open. Knowing there wasn't much room to work with the katanas inside, Y/N reached for her crossbow instead. Joel did the same and the two shared a look before slowly creeping inside.
Y/N moved towards the kitchen, her crossbow up as she looked around. Joel was behind her and she didn't pay attention to him until she heard him begin to open something up. Furrowing her eyebrows, she turned around in time to see him opening up a fridge.
A loud screech filled the air and Joel slammed the door shut before backing up as quick as possible, Y/N moving to his side with her crossbow aimed at the fridge. She momentarily glanced towards Joe who gave her a nervous smile before whispering, "I think the food's expired."
Y/N rolled her eyes at that, but her lips tugged up slightly in amusement before she slowly nudged the boy out of the kitchen. Once they were out, the two took off towards the back door and into the backyard.
They both hesitated in the middle of the yard while looking to the house to see if the monster had ended up following them. Luckily, it didn't seem to have left the fridge, so Y/N let out a small sigh of relief and returned her crossbow to the hook on her backpack.
"Pro tip about surviving monsters," Y/N began, glancing towards Joel who looked her way. "Never look in a place they could be hiding."
"But that was a refrigerator," Joel argued, his eyes wide.
"Especially refrigerators," Y/N retorted before turning and beginning to walk away. Joel stood there dumbfounded as she left, trying to process why refrigerators would be such a big hiding spot for monsters.
A bubbling sound seemed to snap the boy out of his thoughts and he furrowed his eyebrows before glancing to his left and at a small pond. He could see small bubbles rising from one area and he let out a shaky breath before whispering, "R-Robin?"
"Yes, Joel?" Y/N asked, turning to look back, but she froze at the sight of Joel staring at the pond where not one, not two, but three eyes had popped out of the water to stare at him.
The two were frozen in place as a monster began to emerge from the water. It looked as if it were the mutation of a frog, it's body similar to the amphibian, just larger, grosser and with more eyes.
"Joel," Y/N whispered, reaching up to grab her crossbow. "Back up."
The boy didn't respond, a look of stunned terror on his face as he slowly reached for his crossbow as well. His eyes were filled with tears as he looked at the monster, his throat constricting at the thought of this already being the end.
"Joel," Y/N insisted, but it was too late. The monster's tongue was already shooting towards the boy, but something flew across the air and knocked him out of the way just in time.
Y/N didn't have time to look at what jumped at Joel and reacted quickly, pulling her crossbow out as fast as she possibly could and firing at the monster without hesitation. The arrow managed to land in one of the monster's eyes and it let out a roar that made both Joel and Y/N’s eyes widen in response.
"I think you made it mad!" Joel yelled causing the girl to look his way for the first time. She faltered slightly at the sight of a dog standing atop his chest.
"Is that. . .a dog?" she questioned, her eyes wide with shock.
"Robin!" Joel exclaimed, his voice bringing her back to reality in time for her to dodge the tongue attack that was now being thrown in her direction. The dog ran towards the monster without hesitation, putting itself between Y/N and the creature as it barked.
Joel was on his feet in an instant and attempted to run towards the girl who was trying to pull herself up onto her feet after having the air knocked from her lungs. However, he didn't get far before he was thrown against the wall by a hit from the monster's tongue. He landed with a loud groan, but quickly sat up as he felt something grab ahold of his leg.
"No! No, no, no. No!" Joel cried out as he recognized the tongue of the monster which had wrapped around his ankle. He felt a small tug and began sliding across the ground, a yell escaping his lips as he began picking up speed. He was just about to reach the fallen tree in the yard when he felt a hand grab ahold of his own. Joel's eyes flew upward and he yelled out, "Y/N!"
Y/N had her jaw clenched in concentration, her hand holding on tightly to Joel's as she propped her feet against the tree trunk in order to keep them in place. They could hear the dog barking in the background, but it sounded muffled over the sound of their beating hearts and their own voices.
"Robin," Joel cried, his eyes filling with tears as he brought his other hand up to desperately latch onto hers.
"I gotcha," Y/N assured him. "You're okay." However, it seemed she spoke too soon because the edge of the trunk broke and Y/N suddenly fell forward, the two now sliding across the ground together but with some resistance since the girl was clawing at the ground.
She managed to hook her hand into a small hole in the ground and glanced back at Joel who was yelling in fear before she attempted to look around. Y/N’s eyes landed on the dog that was still barking at the creature and then she looked at the monster before letting out a sigh.
"Joel, you gotta trust me on this, okay?" Y/N asked, her words making the boy look up at her confused.
"Trust you on what?" he replied, but then she was letting go of his hand and Joel began screaming as he reached for the fallen tree.
Y/N rolled up onto her feet before pulling her katanas out of their sheaths. She ran past Joel who was still sliding across the ground towards the monster and ran at the monster at full speed.
The dog must've realized she was attacking because it ran to Joel and bit into the monster's tongue right as Y/N launched herself into the air and sliced the katanas across the monster's face. The monster roared in pain and anger, it's head thrashing to the side and hitting Y/N with so much force that she went flying towards the fence.
However, during the monster's pain and anger, it had managed to let go of Joel who scrambled to his feet. He ran over to Y/N and was quick to help her up, the girl wincing slightly and shoving her katanas back into their sheaths before shaking off the pain once she noticed the monster attempting to pull its way out of the water.
"We need to go!" Joel exclaimed, his arm wrapping around Y/N before the two ran through the hole in the fence and after the dog. They managed to make it through the hole moments before the monster went crashing through the fence and Joel held onto Y/N tighter as they ran, both of their breathing ragged as they followed the dog to who knows where.
"Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait!" Joel yelled after the dog who continued to pick up his speed. "Where are you going?"
"He's not going to answer you!" Y/N yelled before watching as the dog ran into an old bus. "There!"
Joel followed her gaze and was quick to pull her that direction, his arm still wrapped around her waist all the way there before he shoved her through the door first and hurried in after her.
The dog closed the door right behind them and Joel looked at the dog impressed as he whispered, "Whoa. Whoa, that was so cool."
They could hear the faint sound of the monster growing further away and it was only when it was gone that they finally moved. Letting out a small sigh of relief, Y/N leaned back against Joel who wrapped an arm around her shoulders and let his head rest against her own.
"We're alive," he whispered.
"Barely," Y/N muttered, the two letting out shaky breaths as they attempted to slow their breathing down.
Once they had managed to calm down some, the two let go of each other and looked down at the dog. Furrowing her eyebrows, Y/N took a step forward and looked around. Inside the bus was a makeshift home of sorts, complete with a bed for both a person and the dog, clothes, some belongings, and numerous crafts lining the inside as if someone had spent the last seven years making nothing but decorations.
"Nice place," Joel commented, looking to the dog who was now laying on his bed. "Can we sit?" The dog glanced at him and Joel looked to Y/N who shrugged. The boy watched the dog hesitantly and made a move to sit down. When the animal didn't show any sign of disagreement, Joel fully sat down. "Thanks."
Y/N walked over as well, but she kneeled down in front of the dog who looked to her with big round eyes. "Hey there, buddy," she whispered, carefully holding her hand out. The dog looked to her hand and leaned forward, sniffing her fingers for a second before licking them. Smiling, Y/N reached forward and let her fingers brush through the dog's hair. "Thank you for saving us back there. Where did you come from, huh? You got a master coming back soon?"
"Robin," Joel whispered. The girl hummed in response and looked his way only to find the boy pointing towards some dishes that looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in a really long time. Y/N instantly put two and two together before looking back at the dog who was leaning into her touch as she scratched behind his ears.
"You all alone?" Joel asked, his eyes flickering over the dog before finally looking at Y/N who he couldn't help but smile at as he watched her interact with the animal.
The dog leaned back at Joel's words and Y/N sighed before standing up and sitting down beside Joel on the bed. "Yeah, us too. I mean, we have each other, but. . .you get what I mean," Joel explained while Y/N smiled softly and placed a hand on top of the boy's.
Joel smiled back and flipped his hand over in order to hold her hand and give it a small squeeze. Feeling content with the comfort his best friend provided him, Joel began to look around until his eyes landed on some graffiti on the bus that read 'Boy.'
"Boy?" he questioned, the name instantly making the dog sit up. Joel and Y/N both shared a look before Joel looked back to the dog. "Is that your name? Boy? Your name is Boy." The dog continued to look at him and Y/N smiled softly as she leaned against Joel.
"I'm Y/N," she said. "But this one right here calls me Robin."
"And I'm Joel," the boy spoke up. "But people call me Batman."
"They do not," Y/N snorted making the boy pout.
"No one calls you Robin," Joel tried to argue.
"You call me Robin," Y/N pointed out.
Knowing he was defeated, Joel looked back to Boy before nodding at the dog. "Nice to meet ya," he said. "Like Robin said earlier. . .thanks, uh. . .thanks for saving my life, Boy."
Boy lowered his head and Y/N just watched the dog with a small smile while Joel used his free hand to pick up a red dress that was lying on the makeshift bed. "Is this a dress?" he asked. However, the words had barely left his mouth before Boy was up and pulling the dress from his grasp.
"Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Sorry," Joel said as Boy ripped the dress away and laid back down on his bed with the dress next to him. "Okay, I won't touch it again."
Y/N let her eyes flicker over Boy, frowning slightly as she realized the dress must've belonged to his owner. Thinking the same thing, Joel asked, "Was that your owner's?"
Boy didn't move and Joel glanced towards Y/N. "It's okay," Joel assured the dog. "You don't have to talk about it. Sorry."
"Did you. . .did you think one of us was her?" Y/N asked, thinking back to the way the dog had grown so protective of them. Boy didn't look at them, but he didn't have to. Y/N was pretty sure he had thought one of them was his owner coming back to him.
"I'm gonna lie down too," Joel said, letting go of Y/N’s hand to pull his backpack off. "Is that o—" The dog looked his way and Joel slowed his actions down. "No, it's okay. Just my backpack." Boy laid back down and Joel let out a small sigh as he set the backpack down. However, he paused as he glanced towards Y/N and it registered in his head that there was only one bed.
"I forgot there's only one bed. Here, you take the bed," Joel told her, already beginning to get up. "I'll just lay on the ground."
Y/N rolled her eyes and reached up to grab the boy's wrist. Joel hesitated and looked back at her while she just gave him a small smile. "We've been best friends for years, Joel. Just shut up and lay down with me," she told him. "Don't worry. I won't bite."
Y/N then gave him a small wink and stood up to take off her backpack and katanas, not noticing the way Joel's cheeks reddened slightly. Although, he wasn't completely sure why that was happening either.
With the bed obviously only being made for one person, the two both had to lay on their side. Joel got on first and leaned all the way back against the far side before opening up his arms. Y/N got in next and laid beside him, the boy freezing as she laid down before he put his arm down at his side not daring to hold the girl like he found himself wanting to.
Y/N was glad Joel couldn't see her face for she was sure she had a slight frown on her face at the fact that he hadn't even wanted to hold her. However, her thoughts were pushed aside as she felt the boy gently nudge her before pointing towards the ceiling where they could see a stuffed dog and girl pinned up next to each other.
"You know," Joel said, glancing over at Boy, "I had a girl, too, once. I mean, I have Y/N, but I'm talking about a different girl. Think you would've really liked her. Yeah, you guys would totally get along. She—She loves dogs. I mean, all animals. She's a big animal lover."
Y/N closed her eyes as the boy began to ramble, especially thankful for not having to face the boy as she listened to him talk about Aimee. Usually she was able to ignore what he was saying, but something about being this close to him, close enough that she could feel his warmth and the way his breath fanned against her neck, and having to hear him talk about another girl was more painful than ever before.
"I haven't seen her in seven years," Joel muttered after a moment of silence. "Long time. That's why I'm trying to go find her. I haven't told anyone this, but I'm kinda nervous about it."
Y/N opened her eyes at that, her face softening at the boy's words. It seemed Boy was touched by his words as well because he got up and plopped down right beside their bed, the dress still in his mouth. He closed his eyes and Y/N smiled softly before reaching down and petting the dog one more time.
"Goodnight, Boy," she whispered, Joel repeating her words while the dog let out a small whine before going to sleep.
A silence filled the room after that, but Y/N knew neither of them were able to sleep. She waited for a moment before whispering, "Are you actually nervous to see Aimee?"
Joel let out a soft sigh, his breath fanning the back of her neck before he whispered, "Yeah." He paused for a moment. "It's been seven years. What if she doesn't want to see me?"
Sighing, the girl turned around in the bed until she was facing Joel. Their faces were an inch or two apart and she noticed Joel's eyes widen slightly in surprise, but it quickly disappeared as he looked into her eyes and relaxed a bit.
Y/N’s eyes searched his own as she said, "Aimee would have to be crazy to not want to see you. You're one of the best people out there, Joel, and that was even before ninety five percent of the population was killed."
Joel smiled softly at that and looked down. "I don't know," he whispered, but the girl quickly shook her head before gently reaching out and forcing his chin up so he could look at her.
"You need to stop doubting yourself, Joel. You have such a big heart and are one of the kindest and funniest people I know. You're making one of the most romantic gestures just daring to take this journey to see her. If she doesn't want to see you, then there's something wrong with her. Trust me. All you need to do is stay calm. Everything will work out in the end," she assured him, smiling softly as she caressed his cheek once with her thumb.
Joel couldn't speak as he looked at her, his eyes flickering over her face for a moment as he tried to process all that she had just said. He couldn't help but notice the rapid beating of his heart. Seeing as it was feeling he had never experienced around the girl before, Joel pushed it aside as nothing but fear of a monster attacking while they slept. But still. . .there was something about the feeling that was familiar. He just couldn't put his finger on it.
Y/N was turning around before Joel could think anymore about it, nestling into the pillow as she closed her eyes. "Besides," she muttered, "your ass dragged me out of that bunker and I'm not about to let you have second thoughts or I'll kill you before any of these monsters can."
Joel chuckled softly at that, his whole body relaxing just because of the girl's presence. He stared at the back of her head for a moment, his eyes trailing down her form before he reached out and slowly let his arm wrap around her waist. Y/N responded by leaning backwards and into his chest while the boy pulled her closer to him and let his face nestle into the crook of her neck.
Y/N smiled softly as her eyes fluttered close once again, a sigh escaping her lips as she whispered out, "Goodnight, Joel."
"Goodnight, Robin."

Love, Victor and Love Triangles
I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH, and lol, I'm going to give my unwanted opinion on who I think Victor is going to choose because my love life is as stale as chips left open for weeks.
Tumblr media
I'm not going to lie that I am rooting for these 2 to end up together. I think that in the long run of the show, they are going to be each others' endgame. I love how much they care for each other, and yes, they have been arguing a lot, and that's because they've finished the honeymoon stage of their relationship and are starting to see each other's flaws.
Tumblr media
However,
Rahim is honestly such a nice person. He lets Victor go outside his comfort zone and was there when he was going through something. The writers made us fall for him in the episodes that he was in. He also relates more to Victor because they both have parents that are traditional.
Now my stand on this triangle.
I think that Victor and Rahim's affection for each other comes from confusion. Victor is having problems with his relationship with Benji because they argued a lot, on top of that, he sees his father on a date with another woman. Rahim has just been freshly rejected by a boy that he thought was going to be his something more. But still, during these events, they were both there for each other.
On the other hand,
Victor mentions that maybe the reason his parents didn't work out is that they were the only people that they have dated. With this in mind, Victor already has this mindset that if he stays with Benji, it will eventually end up with the both of them unhappy in the relationship.
So, in all honesty, I have no idea who he will end up with. Based on the words "beating the odds" from the speech of Felix, this might mean that Victor chose Benji because he thinks that they might beat the odds of becoming Victor's parents and eventually drift apart.
Or, maybe he chose Rahim because we have seen Victor look at a map, surely if he picked Benji he wouldn't need that map because he would have already been familiar with the directions to Benjie's house.
(edit: so apparently, it wasn't a map, but a uber/lyft thing, so now my venjie heart is hopeful HAHAHA)
I also would like to think that Victor chooses Rahim. Rahim becomes a new plot device, but also, with this Victor wouldn't only have one relationship in his life. Maybe after a while, they'll realize that their feelings were out of confusion, and break up anyway. This also makes Victor realize that Benji might be for him.
Okay, I might be overthinking it, but both men are incredible for Victor, that no matter who he chooses, I might be happy HAHAHA.

Just for fun (and to make these easier to find) I have made a compilation of JSRF quotes!
I did find the quotes from this video by RisingSonic17 on YouTube. I do suggest watching it as it gives more context to the lines:
youtube
Keep in mind that some interactions may be missing, as I have never played JSRF and may be unaware of some interactions. Characters and their quotes appear in chronological order according to the video.
Corn:
"This is the GG's Garage. Hey, where's our pizza? Huh? You're not the pizza guy? Oh, you're here to join the GG's, eh? Heh... Tell you what. Find Gum. She's the one you wanna talk to. Just get close to her and pull the 'Right Trigger'. Got it?"
"Why don't you talk to her now?"
"Now, just 'cause you're new don't mean you can act like a big baby. The police are tightening up here, especially since the Rokkaku took over the police force. I know we look crazy 'n all, but even we know to pick our fights. So don't mess things up for the rest of us, got it?"
"Roboy's training changes as your skill level changes, so be on the lookout."
"I had a feeling Poison Jam would have their hideout in the sewers beneath Rokkaku-dai Heights. This is it... looks like the time to throw down has finally come."
"Man, those Poison Jam freaks are out of control. I say we start on Chuo Street and cover everything to Rokkaku-dai Heights and 99th Street in our graffiti. Chuo Street is probably the best place to start."
"Roboy told you, right? If you find a Mystery Tape, you gotta check the GG-notebook. It'll tell you where to find the Graffiti Souls in the area."
"Where the hell is Yoyo? Maybe he freaked out and skipped town? I'm sure he's alright. But we gotta take care of those Immortals. They've been walkin' around like they own the place. We gotta go and cover up all their graffiti."
"I'll send those Immortals back to the grave as many times as I need to!"
"We'll stop those Noise Tanks!"
Gum:
"Poison Jam knows something about Yoyo. I know they do."
"Damn! Punk, I'll get you for that!"
"The fortified residential zone... that's deep in the ghetto. And it could be the fake one again..."
"Here they come. The crazies from the Golden Rhinos. Concentrate, and watch your back. These guys ain't no joke."
"We gotta protect the streets. That's not a choice. We can't let these fools just waltz in and take over."
"The real enemy is your own fear. Remember that."
"So you're the cat that wants to join us, huh? I don't know where you're from, but the streets are tough. Real tough. Let's see what you're made of. We'll start you off nice and slow. Let's see how much air you can grab. Press the "A Button" to jump."
"Dogenzaka Hill is GG territory. I heard there's some headphone wearin' freak creepin' up here. If I could just find him, I'd show him what's up...."
"You can do it, can't you?"
"There are a couple of places in Shibuya Terminal where you can get on the roof of some buildings. You can get there by jumping from a Grind. You should check it out. Who knows what you'll find up there? When you're looking for something, the best place to start is the Map. You can see it by pressing the START button."
"The area of 99th Street is built around a tower that has a bunch of places to Grind. Definitely check that place out. There are also telephone poles to Grind and billboards to Wallride... the most important thing is to just try everything out. Oh, and don't forget to check the map by pressing the START button. That should give you some helpful hints"
"We actually found Roboy in a dumpster. Corn fixed him up real nice."
"I've been lost in the severs before. Its kinda crazy in there, but as long as you keep moving up, you'll be ok."
"Yoyo just can't chill and stay out, can he? He'll be back soon, I'm sure. I heard the Immortals hang out in the skyscraper district or something..."
"Actually, they say Roboy is actually a Noise Tank prototype. Don't tell him that though, ok? We don't wanna make him cry or nothin'. In any case, we're gonna get those damn Noise Tanks."
Yoyo:
"Those tracks should connect Sky Dinosaurian Square to the edge of the skyscraper district..."
"I hear that Poison Jam's woman leader has been showin' her face in town."
"Man, the Rhinos gotta be pissed off!"
"Shibuya Terminal is in a state of panic. I really wanna stay out of this, but we gotta go over there and take care of business."
"Don't use your eyes. Just try to feel it, ya know?"
"Graffiti has the power to wake up the energy that's asleep in the streets of Tokyo. The Rokkaku Group... the police... they don't know what's up. So let's just cover this whole place in art, yo."
"Yo, you know that dude Hayashi from the Rokkaku police force? That guy is one messed up dude. He's a complete psycho. Watch out for him."
"I heard through the grapevine that some weird-lookin' girl's been hangin' out at Rokkaku-dai Heights."
"So you think Poison Jam is after us?"
"We gotta get the Doganzaka Hill goddess statue that Poison Jam took. We better hurry, or things are gonna get real ugly."
Beat:
"Anything go down while I was gone?"
"I've always thought that thing in Shibuya Terminal was nasty lookin' anyway! Let's do a little redecoration."
"Sometimes, you just gotta get moving or else nothin's gonna get done, yo.
"Hey, I've heard of you. You're one of the GG's, huh? Tell you what... I'll race you. If I can beat you in a race around Doganzaka Hill, then this place belongs to me. Got it?"
"Hope you won't regret that."
"Shibuya Terminal? Now that you mention it, there was this huge guy wandering around there... And fishy graffiti? That sounds familiar, but I didn't really look close enough to see if the graffiti that the fool was paintin' actually looked like a fish or nothin'."
"Hey. Is it true Poison Jam used to cause trouble in Chuo Street under a different name?"
"Rapid 99 of 99th Street. They don't show their faces in public very often. Some say Rapid 99 and Poison Jam are sworn enemies because something big went down a while back. I don't know the details, though. A friend of mine told me that the girls in Rapid 99 are real lookers. I just think he was too scared of 'em to say otherwise. In any case, it ain't gonna be easy to find 'em."
"You meet Rapid 99 yet?"
"Noise Tanks? Never heard of 'em. But we gotta find Yoyo. I'll go through the sewers and check out Kiboganoka Hill."
"Those Immortals really get on my nerves..."
"Crazy stuff is going down all over town! Looks like it's time for a little clean up... GG's style!"
Combo:
"Time to get serious."
"This kid's kinda funny."
"This time we should be able to tell if it's the real one or the fake Yoyo just by talkin' to him, right?"
"That crazy guy?! What're you talkin' about? He looks nothing like me. Besides, we don't got time to deal with that fool. Remember? The Golden Rhinos??"
"Well, they told us to come. Don't look like we got any choice."
"There are some things that you can only feel when you're out in the streets, you know?"
"What's this?! Who's been sprayin' these ugly tags on my turf?! Hmph. I'm guessin' it was you... Its on! If you loose, you're gonna be answerin' to me from now on, punk!"
"You think you can do this too? Let's see it!"
"Man, you're not all that. Here, I'll show you one more time."
"The deep end of the sewers is closed off because it's contaminated. At least, that's what I heard..."
"Hey, why you gotta go out and get a dog?! There's only one thing I hate more than dogs, and that's goldfish."
"I heard Rapid 99 used to run under a leader named Cube..."
"Thing that ticks me off most is, the Immortals ain't worth all this talk and trouble. I wonder if they got somethin' to do with Yoyo's disappearance?"
"There's a bunch of real big guys with real big attitudes causin' a big scene over on Highway Zero. Maybe they might know something about the Noise Tanks. Man, where the hell is Yoyo?!"
Rynth:
"What is UP with Yoyo, anyway?!"
"Hey, Graffiti Souls are a big commodity, right?"
"I don't care if it's a golden rhino or a blue hippo, I'll send 'em right back to the zoo where they belong."
"What's their master plan? I mean, the Golden Rhinos don't seem like their just out here to run the streets, you know what I'm sayin'?" (This quote was spelled like this in game. From my knowledge it should be "they're just out here...")
"Here comes Gouji. Let's end this."
"Did you get all the Graffiti Souls? We still got a full laundry list of things to take care of, you know."
"Hehehe... So this is your hideout."
"Poison Jam are... kinda cute!"
"Is it just me, or does Captain Hayashi not look like he eats his breakfast?"
Poison Jam:
"I don't think Yoyo's that kind of a person."
"I think hes hiding something."
"This feels like a trap. Be careful."
"Someone's after DJ-K?! You sure about that?!"
"Gouji Rokkaku is kinda interesting. But, I think he went a little too far this time..."
"I love everything about Tokyo... even the things I hate."
"Hur hur hur. You want to get rid of us, don't you? Nothing in life is free. You gotta work for it. Beat us in this race and we won't mess with you anymore."
"Har har har!! I told ya'll you were a bunch of wussies!"
Rapid 99:
"ghahah! Next thing you know, you will be all crying like a baby."
"If you can win a flag battle against us, I'll tell you where Poison Jam' s hideout is."
"Suit yourself."
Garam:
"I won't hold back."
"Hey. Keep it real."
"There's this lightning-quick girl over at Kiboganoka Hill. Dunno if she's still there. But man, I gotta say, I'm really trippin' out over Yoyo missin' and all."
"When it comes down to it, the Immortals are just dried up mummies, man. I bet they all nasty under those bandages."
Boogie:
"The Noise Tanks might look strong, but they're like cheap action figures! Just run into them and they fall apart! Oh yeah, that girl from the stadium... I heard she's been lookin' for us. You seen her yet?"
"Aww man..."
"The fortified residential zone... it's directly attached to the underground sewers. Man. I don't like that place at all."
"Is that dude in black even human? My heart's pounding... I don't know why."
"You're never as good as you can be! Don't slack off!"
"Y'all are crazy!"
Jazz:
"This doesn't look good."
"Alright. Stay cool."
"Yeah.... we were a little too laid back this time, I think."
"The fortified residential zone... hey, why don't we pick numbers to decide who goes?"
"It's about time the Rhinos brought things up a notch. We better be ready to get real serious too."
"What the hell IS that big thing, anyway? But, you better watch out for that fool in black..."
"If you get a "Jet" in the Trials, you can even use people who aren't here to take out into the streets."
"You're one of the GG's, right? Then tell this fool that they got the wrong girl! They think I'm one of you guys! So, they dragged me out here and looked what's happened to me!!"
"Hurry up! Tell him that I'm not a GG!!"
Noise Tanks:
"Hey, you're that GG that helped me out! Thanks for that man. Say... there's something that I've been wondering since then. You wanna find out who's the fastest? I KNOW I can beat you. Let's give it a shot!"
"Alright. Fine. See ya."
"I'll get 'em good no matter what!"
"The more worked up we get about this, the harder it'll be to find what we're lookin' for."
"There's somethin' not right about the way the Golden Rhino's are actin'."
"Why are those Golden Rhinos going after the Radio station? Well, make sure to be on the lookout for Captain Psychopath."
"We gotta save DJ-K! I can't stand listening to this music anymore!"
"If this town could talk, what poetry it would speak..."
"Ready?"
"Practice all you want, it will not make a difference."
"It is not over yet. Prepare yourselves."
"Heh... Go on. Fight!"
"Are you ready?"
Special interactions:
"Sometimes it just doesn't matter how much you practice."
Slate:
"Dude. I'm bored. Entertain me."
"Hmph. What a bore."
"My sources tell me that the Noise Tanks and the Rokkaku Group are in this together. Be careful."
"So is that Clutch guy in with Rokkaku too? Or is he just a little punk?"
"I'm about ready."
"The Golden Rhinos are really startin' to get on my nerves..."
"I got better things to do than play house with Gouji Rokkaku, but man, that big ugly thing has GOT to go."
"Graffiti Souls' sole purpose is to be sought out."
Clutch:
"You're looking for that kid, Yoyo, right? Tell ya what, if you go out and get some Graffiti Soul points... Hey! Wait a sec, you've already got quite a few. Lemme see those... Sucka! Thanks for the Graffiti Souls! See ya around!"
"Hah, hah! I look forward to it!"
"I dunno, but I just don't get what's going on here. Heh..."
"This Gouji Rokkaku dude is pretty funny!"
"Haaaahaha! Tokyo ain't half bad!"
Cube:
"If you can beat me at my own game, I'll leave you alone."
"Suit yourself."
"The fortified residential zone... Unless you're absolutely sure of your skills, you should stay away from that place."
"I've dealt with the Golden Rhinos once before. If you don't take them seriously, you're as good as dead."
"I can't stand even looking at that thing. Its just so... so... damn ugly!"
"Yeah. You just have to try everything with an open mind."
Beat to Corn:
"So you're the leader of the GG's? Heh... How's this sound? If I beat you in a race around Doganzaka Hill, you and your buddies have to answer to me from now on. If you beat me... well, we'll just see when it happens."
"Huuuh? You're so boooring..."
Talking to Beat in the garage before fighting the police:
"Anyway, I'm ready to rock. But what's up with that pooch, eh? Where did ya pick him up? You sure that's not the leader in disguise? Heh heh. Its only a matter of time before I become the leader of the GG's anyway."
Combo to Gum:
"What's this?! Who's been sprayin' these ugly tags on my turf?! Hmph. Was it you, princess? You've been a bad, bad girl. You've better hit me with everything you've got, 'cause I ain't gonna hold back just because you're a girl!!"
"The cue tone get you all jumpy?"
"You liked that, eh? I'll do it again for you."
Yoyo to Rynth:
"You're... like... you know... yo."
"Where'd you come from?"
Gum to Rynth:
Rynth to Beat:
"Cool. Welcome aboard."
"You kinda... smell weird."
Garam to Boogie:
"Hey. I'm next in command around here, little lady. The name's Garam,"
Combo to Boogie:
"This group is growing bigger every day. Fool just dig me, I guess."
Gum to Boogie:
"So you're the one from Kiboganoka Hill, huh? Well, this is the GG's. What you see is what you get. Just be yourself, you'll be cool."
Garam to Jazz:
"Well, um... I... uh... be cool."
"That freak who's been making all those weird tags... you think he's connected with the Golden Rhinos somehow?"
Boogie to Garam:
"Alright. Stay cool."
Jazz to Garam:
"I feel ya, but I think you should try to chill a bit. Keep it together."
Corn to Clutch:
"What a fool. But the fortified residential zone... that's deep in the ghetto. And it could be the fake one again..."
Jazz to Clutch:
"Don't push your luck."
Beat to Clutch:
"You just wanted some attention from us, right? Aww..."
Combo to Clutch:
"Man, you're such a jerk I almost like you."
Garam to Clutch:
"One of these days, I'll get you one-on-one! Just you and me, fool!"
Boogie to Clutch:
"Fine. I'll let you off just this once."
Slate to Clutch:
"Heh... Stay outta trouble."
Corn to Yoyo:
"Long time no see, bro."
Clutch to Yoyo:
"So you're that Yoyo guy, huh? Heh..."
Jazz to Yoyo:
"So, you're the real deal, huh? 'Sup. I'm Jazz."
Combo to Yoyo:
"You gonna go and try to get back into shape, huh?'
Garam to Yoyo:
"Heh... I caused enough havoc for the both of us while you were gone, bro."
Rynth to Yoyo:
"The most unbelievable stuff was happening while you were gone! Hehehe..."
Yoyo to Slate:
"Hey, sorry about all that, yo. My bad. But thanks to those fools, I'm all out of shape now. Maybe I'll go out and cause a little havoc to warm up, yo."
Yoyo to Jazz:
"Man, things have sure gotten busier sice I was last here?"
Gum to Beat:
"That fool dressed in black who's been hanging around Chuo Street... now that I think about it, you guys kinda look alike."
Clutch to Beat:
"In times like this, you won't fall as long as you look where you're going. Heh heh."
Garam to Beat:
"Hey, you know that guy everyone's been saying looks like you? Well, is it you?"
There is some cutscene dialogue missing from these lines. If I can find all the cutscenes, then I'll be sure to add them.
