its been bugging me for a while and i do think its weird that you can only buy anime on bluray. i see the "if you dont want physical media to disappear then buy physical media!" posts and yeah i sure would like to. even with the insane shipping cost i would. and i do have an older type laptop that still has a dvd player. cant play bluray tho. i checked and bluray players are expensive + my rental doesnt have a tv. so what now? i just spend a huge amount of money to have physical media that i can never watch? when did bluray even become the norm? i want to support and own the art i love and my options are exploitative rancid streaming service (which may also remove it anytime) or costly unplayable disks. they quite literally leave no choice for me but to pirate it even when i'd be willing to pay and i think thats wild

3am ice cream dates ⟡ aventurine
synopsis maybe waking up aventurine in the middle of the night for some ice cream isn't such a bad idea after all
warnings fluff, gn!reader, modern!au, whipped aventurine like he is in love with you, groggy aventurine (you can't change my mind about groggy aventurine btw)
NOTES HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE BOY MWAH U DESERVE EVERYTHING <33
Tumblr media
waking up in the middle of the night wasn't something you were very fond of, especially since you aren't able to fall back asleep immediately. to make things worse, you were on your period meaning that you are now craving for something, specifically ice cream.
unfortunately, there was no ice cream left in the fridge since you finished them all last week and you haven't been able to buy some more since you were too busy to go buy some groceries.
you bit your lip in annoyance, moving to get out of bed. aventurine stirs awake from your movements, squinting his eyes as he adjusts to the darkness of the room. "why're you up? he asks in a groggy voice.
"aven! sorry, i didn't mean to wake you up," you apologized in a hushed tone. "i just... i'm craving for something." you gave him a sheepish smile.
"you seem like you want ice cream." aventurine states, rubbing his eyes as he sits up.
you gasped. "how'd you know?! are you a psychic?"
"you always crave for ice cream when you wake up at midnight on your period, you know that right?" aventurine answers. "of course i'll know what you're craving for."
"aw, you remember these tiny details? you're so sweet," you teasingly poke his cheek to which he just smacks your hand away. "we don't have any ice cream left in the fridge though."
aventurine sighs, climbing out of bed. "then we'll just have to go buy some."
your eyes lit up. "really?! you don't mind?"
through darkness, you were able to make out aventurine nodding. you quickly stand up, kissing aventurine's cheek, and then rushed out of the bedroom door.
(aventurine was so glad that you didn't try to wait for him because you would definitely tease him for his red cheeks).
"aven, hurry! the ice cream shop will close if we don't hurry!" you called out to him. he shakes his head, a small smile displayed on his lips. he quickly grabs his hoodie (and a spare one because he knows you didn't bring one) and his wallet and heads down the stairs.
you were bouncing on your heels, catching the hoodie aventurine throws at you. "ah, thank you!"
aventurine grabs your hand and holds it, opening the door for you. walking to the nearby supermarket, you and aventurine greet the staff member (who looked really tired) and went straight for the ice cream section. you browsed through the different brands and flavors.
aventurine suddenly grabs the ice cream on the top shelf, handing it to you. "this one, right?"
"ah-! you found it!" you exclaimed happily. "thought it was out of stock, phew." you both walked to the cashier, aventurine payed for it, and then walked to a nearby park to sit down.
you hummed happily, opening the ice cream pack and took a huge spoonful out of it, "it's so delicious! want some?" you guided a spoon to aventurine's mouth, and he politely declines.
aventurine pulls you closer to him, cuddling you. "happy now?"
"mhm! thanks, aven." you said, mouth full of ice cream. "sorry you had to wake up this early. i didn't even mean to wake you up."
"it's okay," aventurine replies. "i'd rather spend time with you like this. it's relaxing."
"aw, you're such a sweetheart." you teased, and aventurine frowns.
"okay, never mind, let's go home."
"hey, wait! i was just kidding!" you exclaimed, preventing aventurine from standing up. you took another spoonful of ice cream, the remaining bits of ice cream on the spoon you smeared across aventurine's cheek, making him gasp in shock and because of the coldness of the ice cream.
"hey, what was that for?" aventurine asks. you stood up, slowly backing away from aventurine and the bench.
"nothing- HEY STOP CHASING ME! I'M HOLDING MY ICE CREAM- AAAAAH!" you yelled, as aventurine started chasing after you.
it was no use trying to run away from him though, because for some odd reason, he's a fast runner.

The Thief (One-Shot)
(Complete)
Tumblr media
Summary: You’ve always been quite the troublemaker. And pickpocketing was your favourite pastime. However you hadn’t noticed the bearded man watching you, until it was too late. Whatever will he do with you?

Paring: Walter Marshall x Fem. Reader
Warnings: MDNI, 18+, reader is a thief, being caught, cursing, degrading words, abuse of authority, but reader is enthusiastic about it, enthusiastic consent given, rough sex, p in v
Word count: 2.9K

A/N: That scenario has been stuck in my head for some time, so I thought I’d put it into writing. As always any mistakes are my own. Reblogs and comments are much appreciated! Thank you and enjoy!❤️✨

!Neither Walter Marshall nor Nomis are my creation!
🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻 🐻🐻🐻

Your fingers felt like they would fall off any second now. It was freezing and still, you had purposefully neglected to wear gloves. Why?
Simple, you were lighter fingered when your hands weren’t encased in any sort of fabric. Though right now you wondered if it had been a mistake, since the feeling in your hands had been gone for about an hour.

You had underestimated the cold front the weather guy had talked about, especially because it was only October.

Standing to side of the crowd, you watched possible targets go about their day, buying things on the farmers market. Completely unaware of your eagle eyes, keeping track of, where they put their wallets.

You knew, it was a bit risky pickpocketing right here, because the police had doubled their efforts, since an awful lot of civilians had reported their stolen money or missing wallets in the past few month. So to placid them, they had promised to update the security in the area.

Though you hadn’t seen said ‘updated security’, you were aware of the possibility of undercover cops. But that did next to nothing to dissuade you from your weekly shopping spree. Normally you didn’t keep watch that long, but you had hoped maybe the cop would show themselves. Hence the delay.

Though they didn’t reveal themselves.

And you didn’t want to wait much longer to relive someone, of the awful burden of carrying so much money around, because your fingers would truly fall off soon. That’s why your eyes were set on your final target.

A middle aged woman, whose attire looked so expensive and out of place, you were convinced she had some money to spare.

Before reconsidering and risk being exposed to the cold any longer, you made your move. Diving into the crowd, carefully trailing the woman with the red handbag, in which you knew her matching red wallet was uncaringly stuffed into, after her last purchase.

It was nearly too easy, as she stopped again, leaning forward to inspect the goods more closely, making her bag move backwards and an even simpler target for you. She didn’t even notice, how close you’d gotten, let alone when your hand had slipped into her bag, swiftly removing her wallet. As quickly as you could you opened it and removed the money, stuffing it into your coat’s pocket, before putting her wallet back into the handbag.

To prevent making anyone suspicious, you too leaned over the goods for a few seconds, as if you were inspecting them as well. Next you politely smiled at the vendor and then moved away, slithering through the mass of people. Escaping. Or so you thought.

You hadn’t even reached the spot from where you had kept watch, when someone rather rudely crashed into you from behind, grabbing your arm. Exasperated at their behaviour you tried to twist around, though it was in vain, with the iron clad grip they had on you, so you just struggled, cursing under your breath, “What the fuck…let me go! This instant!”

Whoever was behind you, only tightened their grip further, chuckling lowly, “Oh I don’t think so, hon.”

Still struggling in the hold, you slightly panicked because the man really didn’t let go at all, hissing you threatened him, “Let go you arsehole, or I’ll scream! Then you have to explain yourself to the fucking police!!”

He didn’t have any difficulty keeping his hold on you, despite you trying to wrestle yourself free. Suddenly he was even closer, sturdy body pressed against yours, as his warm breath tickled your ear, “Aww is that an invitation? Because as a matter of fact, I am the police.”

You ceased your fighting instantly. Shit. Now you really panicked. What would he do? He most certainly had caught you redhandedly. Your body couldn’t decide if it was overheating or ice cold, switching between the two sensations as if your panicked state wasn’t enough to deal with already.

“Mmmh, not so feisty anymore, are we now, you little thief?”

Crap his deep voice and mocking manner, made heated waves roll through your body, apparently it had settled on confused arousal, you cursed quietly.

“What was that? Cursing at a police officer is just as a serious offense as stealing, you know.”

You didn’t know what to do, you just went slack in his hold, submitting to the muscled man behind you.

“That’s what I thought,” he taunted you further.

At last he set into motion, taking you with him, gliding through the crowd and further to a police car parked in an alley. Only once he’d pushed you into the backseat, slamming the door shut, reality hit you again.

You had been caught. Now sitting in a police car, probably soon on the way to the nearest precinct. You didn’t even know what would happen next. Could they throw you in prison for this? Would there be a hearing? Damn it, you never had to think about the consequences before…

The front door opened and he entered, distracting you for a second, as your eyes roved over his form. Great, not only did he have an alluring voice, he also had to be extremely attractive. His clear blue eyes met yours, grinning in triumph, “You have any idea, how much trouble you’ve caused us?”

You didn’t know what made you so bold, as you cheekily replied, “I’m terribly sorry officer, but I just can’t help myself. Always been a trouble maker.”

He buckled his seat belt, turning to the front again, shaking his head, mumbling, “Bet you are.”

🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻

As you finally arrived at the precinct, it was dark outside. Apparently he hadn’t driven to the nearest one. He opened the back door of the car once more. Immediately steel grip on you, pinning your arms uncomfortably behind your back, as he manoeuvred you to the door leading into the police station.

It was eerily quiet inside. You didn’t see anyone, as you turned your head left and right.

Then another officer came into view.

“Ah hey there, Marshall! Finally, was just about to leave.”

“Bennet, you know you can’t leave, if no one’s here, right?”, Marshall answered, clearly annoyed by that Bennet guy.

“Yeah, yeah I know. Sooo, whose that?”, Bennet nodded to you.

“None of your business. Just go home.”

Bennet quickly shuffled out of the way, as Marshall and you passed him. You two went around a corner, away from the desks through a never ending corridor. Glaringly white light beaming down on you, making your eyes burn after the prolonged darkness in the car.

The station was bigger than you thought it’d be, as you turned another corner. Though here he finally stopped, in front of a small cell. You heard the jiggling of the keys, then he unlocked the door, letting go of you and pushing you inside as he entered as well.

You turned around, suppressing a shiver when he crossed his arms, towering over you.

“Come here.”

You ignored his command, shaking your head.

He sighed, approaching you,” Hon, this is standard procedure. I’ve got to pet you down, make sure you’ve got nothing dangerous on you.”

You froze, when your back hit the wall. You weren’t afraid. Actually quite the opposite, you were exited at the prospect of this gorgeous man petting you down. Letting his big hands glide up and down your body.
But you were determined to not let, him, know that. And you were convinced if he came any closer he’d know.

But you were trapped. He came to a stop in front of you. Concerned he’d furrowed his dark brows, “May I?”

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

You’d let him do anything, if he looked at you like that. Not trusting your voice you nodded.

He squatted down, warm hands settling on your calves, slowly moving up. Your eyes widened when you saw the burning desire you felt, mirrored in his ocean ones.

Not able to conceal your excitement, you automatically widened you stance, as his hands moved beyond your knees. Thumbs stroking over your inner thighs teasingly, making you pant loudly.

His amusement was crystal clear with the way he smirked up at you, “Already getting exited, you little thief?”

You whimpered pathetically as his right hand was now dangerously close to your pulsing centre. Closing your eyes in anticipation, your breath hitched in surprise, when he’d suddenly stood up. Bearded face in front of yours, making your eyes fly open again.

He cupped your chin, tilting your head back a little, whispering, “Are you sure, you want this?”

“Yes,” you breathed back.

“I need you to be absolutely sure you want this just as much as I want this.” Blue eyes serious and flitting between yours.

You were touched by his gentleness, and quite relieved he made sure, you were on board with this. To wipe any doubts from his mind, you pressed your lips against his. Starting to kiss him fiercely.

He was a bit taken aback by your initiative, but only for a second, before he moved against your soft lips. His pink tongue begging for entrance, which you immediately granted. Deepening the kiss. When you pulled away, both of you panted, taking in the much needed oxygen.

He’d leaned his forehand against yours, growling softly when your swift fingers started to unbuckle his belt. Not able to hold back, you let them slide into his boxers, gasping when you felt how big he was. You couldn’t even close your hand around his shaft, though you began pumping him anyway, making his hips buck forward.

“Fu-uck, you’re really good with your hands aren’t you, hon?”

“What can I say, if I see something I like, I need to have it, Mr. Marshall.”

All the while your hand had moved back and forth on his hard rod, freeing him, as you’d pushed his pants and boxers down to his meaty thighs. It made him grunt loudly. His hands curling around your hips, then advancing toward the fly of your jeans, pulling your sipper down.

“Let’s see how wet you are for me, honey.”

And sure enough two long fingers dipped into your panties, feeling around your dripping walls, until he found your wet centre and plunged into your pussy.

Moaning wantonly you nearly let go of his cock, when his perfect fingers curled and pressed into your sweet spot.

“Argh, yeah right there.”

“Thought so, you’re clenching around me like crazy. Can’t wait to feel your tight, little snatch around my cock.”

You tried to reciprocate, moving your hand up and down, but it was impossible with the way his fingers sped up, carefully scissoring you open.

But he didn’t seem to care, enjoying how loud he could make you moan for him. As he pulled his fingers out, you mewled, unhappy at the sudden emptiness.

He cooed,” Aww darling don’t worry you’ll feel full again in a second.”

With that he pulled down your jeans and panties, only than noticing that he couldn’t remove them completely, because of your boots. Huffing annoyed, he didn’t even wait to pull off the boots. Instead he hauled you onto the small bed in the corner, lifting your legs and pushing your ankles down beside your head.

The new position had exposed you so entirely that you whimpered in embarrassment. He didn’t care though, burning gaze fixed on our soaking wet pussy, unconsciously liking over his lips, at the mouth-watering sight of you spread out, below him.

He quickly reached for his painfully throbbing cock, wanting nothing more than to bury it in your tight cavern. He rubbed the head between your sopping folds, collecting your juices to make the entrance smoother.

“You ready?”

Your nod was all he needed, as he began pushing against your hole. Slowly spreading you around his fat cockhead, before pushing further and further inside. Your breathing was shallow, as the monstrosity entered you.

“So biiig…”

He had the audacity to laugh, “Well hon, you said you needed to have the things you liked. And I’m simply giving them to you, aren’t I?”

Just then he finally bottomed out, making you whimper and him moan lowly.
His large firm hands rested on your calves, making sure they and you would stay in the position he’d put you in. Panting he smiled down at you, “So pretty for me. Have to start moving, your cunt is to fucking tight.”

Blazing blue eyes focused on your slit engulfing his cock, as he agonizingly slow moved back. He grunted when he pushed his hips forward, forcing his entire length back inside. Stretching your cunt, filling your body thoroughly once more.

“Quicker. Please M-Mr. Marshall, need more…”

He groaned, “Such a needy thing. But I expected nothing less off a little thief.”

You wanted to curse at him, but all that left you was another mewl, as he continued his slow, slow pace.

“Maybe if you beg again, honey. But this time, address me as Walter. After all I’m not your boss.”

Fully sheathed inside you, it was extremely hard to string together any sentence, but you tired your best, as you needed him to pick up his pace.

“Pl-please Walter… quicker, harder. Fuck me as hard as you can…please.”

“What a dangerous thing to say, honey. But your wish is my command,” he winked at you.

Walter finally pulled back, delivering a hard and heavy thrust, making you cry out, at the shocking wave of pleasure wracking your body.

Your fingers dug into the mattress, holding on for dear life, as he began hammering away. Rutting into you so violently, he smacked against your clit with ever thrust. Pulling a blinding, toe-curling orgasm from you.

He’d stopped moving for a bit, grinding his hips into yours, prolonging your orgasm. Walter made a low guttural sound, before picking up his pace once more.

Yelping as he ploughed away at your weeping pussy, he kept your legs pressed against your chest.

“Not nearly done with you yet, honey,” he panted.

One moan after the other was pulled from your lungs as your poor cunt didn’t have any time to recover and was just thrown into immediate pleasure again, as his massive cock made its way in and out of your body.

“Hnnm…pl-please. Wa-alter,” you squeaked.

Walter growled and picked up the pace even more. He pulled out completely, before driving home with every single thrust.

“Cl-close. I’m so close, honey.”

He kept slamming into your body, as you egged him on, “Yeah… please fill me up, Walter!!”

That’s what tipped him over the edge, taking you with him as your second orgasm was pulled from your exhausted body, feeling his seed entering you. Cock pulsing inside you, as a last deep moan left his lips.

Then he stilled, locking eyes with you, “Fuck… that was amazing, hon.”

Blinking up at him, you smiled, sighing when he slipped out, warm dripples of his and your residue running down. Walter let go of your legs. Wanting to protest as he pulled your panties and jeans back up, even though you were still dripping his cum.

He hushed you, “Ah, ah, ah. A little punishment is due don’t you think? Keeping my seed inside till you’re home is the least you could do, when I let you off with a warning, isn’t it, you little thief?”

You nodded, smirking at his decision, while he buckled his belt.
Then he added,” Though you obviously have to give me the money.”

Damn it, you had hoped he’d forgotten about that. But his outstretched hand said otherwise, so you pulled the money from your coat pocked and handed it over disgruntledly.

“That’s a good girl. Thank you,” he teased as he put it into his back pocket.

He turned around, opening the cell and letting you out, leading you back through the corridor you had come from with his hand touching your lower back.

When you arrived at the front room of the precinct it was completely deserted. He surprised you with the searing kiss he bestowed upon your lips.
When Walter pulled back, his blue eyes seemed to sparkle, “I really enjoyed that. All of it. Maybe next time, you’ll be here, it’s not because you committed a crime, yeah?”

“Can’t make any promises, but I’m sure our paths will cross again.”

Then you slipped out the door, vanishing into the night, but not without releasing a gleeful laugh as your fist closed around the money in victory.

Unbeknownst to Walter, you had stolen it right back during the kiss.

The minute you were gone he had noticed the missing money, roaring, “Fuck! You little minx! Get back here!!” Running out the door himself.

Walter could have sworn he heard you giggle in the distance, as he set out to chase after you.

Warning: Mild panic attack

Soap found the first listening device not even five minutes after stepping inside the apartment, hidden inside the living room lamp. All three of them concluded, silently, just exchanging meaningful looks, that if that one had been so easy to find, it meant there were others better hidden.
Gabi, blissfully unaware, was joyfully planning their next steps during the afternoon and evening, but the three SAS operators were crowded around one of the kitchen’s counters, with Ghost writing on a notebook.
We’ll go turn the car in and rent another, then we’ll be back to get you and go to the new apartment. Try to find if there’s more listening bugs or cameras before you get frisky with your girlfriend, MacTavish
Soap nodded, completely serious, and grabbed the pen to scribble his own message.
How come ye write a whole fucking paragraph and then ye jus’ speak with grunts and growls?
Ghost rolled his eyes, huffing at Soap’s shit-eating grin, but it was Riot’s giggling that prevented him from answering harshly or whacking his friend over the head. Carefully, with elegant and exaggerated calligraphy, he wrote.
Fuck you
Soap gasped loudly, placing his hand over his heart as if he had been struck by lightning.
‘‘How dare ye hurt me feelings?’’ He pretended to wipe a tear off, trying hard not to allow his lips to curl upwards when Ghost just stared at him, fuming. ‘‘Thought ye liked me!’’
‘‘I said I liked you alive, but I’m about to change my opinion’’ Ghost grunted, shoving Soap’s shoulder without any force, thankful because the balaclava was hiding his wide grin. Stupid motherfucker. The only good fucking thing Shepherd had ever done was putting Soap in his life.
‘‘I’ll text you before we head back’’ Riot laughed quietly, grabbing her jacket, wallet and phone. Gabi decided in that moment to pay attention, seeing that Ghost was collecting his things too, after going into the bathroom to change his balaclava for a face mask.
‘‘Wait, where are you going?’’
‘‘To buy things for breakfast tomorrow and scout a bit for a good place for dinner’’ Riot explained calmly, writing something on Ghost’s notebook before tearing off the page and giving it to her.
We’re going to rent another car and turn this one in. The bags with the trackers will stay at this apartment, and we’ll come get you two in a couple of hours to go to another one. Have fun!
Gabi stared up at Christine’s radiant, uneven smile, speechless, before grabbing the pen and writing hurriedly.
But Johnny found a listening device here!
‘‘Have fun’’ Riot chuckled, and kissed lightly Gabi’s forehead before heading towards the door, where Ghost was already waiting for her. The redhead just blinked, watching them leave, and melted right into Soap’s arms when he hugged her from behind, resting his chin on the top of her head.
Maybe a bit of time alone wasn’t such a bad idea after all.
*
It took just under half an hour to turn in the car at the same rental chain they had used at the airport, and then rent another SUV from another company just in case. And once that was done, both Ghost and Riot turned their attention to more important matters.
Knives.
‘‘Have you found anything?’’ Simon grunted a curse under his breath at some idiot trying to overtake their SUV, forcing him to step on the brakes harder than he would have wanted.
‘‘Mhmm… yes, one shop, not far. Turn right’’ Christine nodded, checking her mobile phone. ‘‘Best thing to know where to buy these things is checking online forums of military nutters. And there are a lot of expats singing praises of this shop so we can try… oh, park there!’’
Simon nodded and started the maneouvre, while she waited just until he turned the engine off to get out of the SUV, looking around with the phone in her hand until she got her bearings. Simon locked the car and waited, until she looked up at him, covering the lower half of her face with her own mask, and then showed him the screen.
‘‘That way’’
The street wasn’t really close to the city center, but it was packed. Crowds of people moving up and down the street, stopping to check the shop windows, stopping in the middle of the pavement to chat with other people. No one really bumped into the towering masked Lieutenant, preferring to move out of his way, but, in turn, crossed her path and forced her to move, or worse, straightly pushed into her.
‘‘¡Gilipollas! (twat)’’ Christine spat furiously at the latest idiot that chose to bump into her to avoid Simon. ‘‘¡Mira por donde vas, imbécil! (Watch where you’re walking, dickhead)’’
Simon bit back a laugh at her affronted face, and moved slightly so he’d be walking in front of her. He wasn’t having a good time either. The crowd was too loud and too rowdy, and he was getting fed up of being surrounded of so many people.
‘‘It’s busier than I expected’’
‘‘In this city it’s normal, it’s always full of tourists, but I swear to God, if one more stupid wanker…’’ Her words were muffled by the noise in the street, and her blood ran cold when suddenly, there was a loud bang coming from a building nearby, in the process of being renovated.
Without thinking, her hands shot forward and grabbed his arm, her fingers digging into the hard muscle beneath hard enough to make Simon stop and look down at her, concerned.
‘‘Lovie’’
Rubble, rubble everywhere, falling on me, falling on my team, impending impact, impending impact…
A warm, big palm cupped her jaw over her mask and tilted her face upwards, until her eyes met Simon’s dark brown ones, looking down at her.
‘‘You’re safe. You’re safe, lovie’’ His voice, the same scorching, low rumble that always grounded her, that helped in Belarus, that helped her in the solitude of her room or her shower when she needed something to calm her down. ‘‘You’re with me’’
Swallowing through the knot in her throat, she nodded, feeling the sting of the dust in her eyes. Or maybe it wasn’t dust at all.
‘‘I’m sorry, it’s… it’s pathetic, I’m…’’
‘‘I still have them, sometimes’’ He commented, completely calm. Both of them were still, in the middle of the pavement, ignoring the huffs and puffs of the people forced to go around them. Her hands were still gripping his arm, and he was still cupping her face, to prevent her from looking away.
‘‘You? But you’re always so…’’ She bit her lips underneath the mask, not knowing how to continue. He always looked so calm. So collected. Stern, reliable, disciplined, methodical. It was difficult to imagine the imponent Ghost as a crumbling mess like she felt.
‘‘Took a long time to get there’’ Simon shrugged lightly, and suddenly, somehow, he seemed closer, his massive body bending down to get closer to her, or maybe she was just standing on her tip toes again, or maybe it was both.
Their foreheads touched, and Christine couldn’t help but close her eyes and sigh, relaxing into the feeling of his warm skin and the soothing sound of his breathing.
‘‘You’ll get there too’’ He added, very low, feeling tempted, oh so temped, but with the firm self-discipline with which he managed his life, he restrained himself. It wouldn't be appropriate. Not there, in the middle of a busy street, when she was in the middle of a panic attack ‘‘You’re not pathetic. You’re human. I’d be worried otherwise’’
Christine just nodded, the pale, cold skin of her forehead dragging against his, feeling the hardened skin of a couple of his scars. God, if only…
‘‘I don’t know what I would do without you’’ She froze right after the words left her lips, with her eyes still closed, but she felt how his breathing hitched for a second. And then, the low rumble of his laugh and a calloused thumb brushing over her cheekbone.
‘‘I’m not going anywhere, lovie’’ Bloody fucking hell, how could he. How could he, after this. ‘‘Because I don’t fucking know what I would do without you either’’
Christine chuckled softly, opening her eyes again as Simon straightened up and let his hand fall from her face.
‘‘Knives?’’ She whispered, without releasing his arm. He didn’t seem to care, and both started to walk towards the shop.
‘‘Knives’’

The Shop — Sunwoo, smut
warnings: sex toys, kinda public sex, unprotected sex, masturbation, oral (my old work being modified and re-posted)
You were walking towards the shop you’ve seen so many times as you drove by almost every day. You decided to wear a hoodie despite the warm weather just to pull on the soft material over your head, wearing some dark shades and hugging your bag closer to your chest. Anyone that could see you right now would think you were buying something else. You parked just in front of the shop, yet the walk through the short distance felt way too long for your liking.
Walking through the big front doors, the sensor bell goes off making you pursue your lips. Why did it have to indicate someone coming in?! You took a deep breath, hoping no one would come to greet you or even offer their help, a blush already creeping up your cheeks just by thinking about it.
You looked around the shop, plenty of toys decorating the walls and the shelves, some that you have never seen or even imagined existed. Different sizes, uses, what even are those?! Your eyes widening upon seeing a weird long shaped object by one of the shelves.
“Okay maybe I should leave, I shouldn’t have listened to my friends.” you whispered to yourself, turning around and ready to sprint towards your car.
But before you could even take a step, a male voice spoke behind you. “Hello, welcome to Cupid’s Box. Looking for anything in particular?”
You closed your eyes, suddenly feeling too shy to even move. You turned around slowly, coming face to face with a tall and handsome guy, flashing you a bright and friendly smile. You scanned his face, eyes moving down his tall body. Luckily you were still wearing those shades or he would’ve noticed you were checking him out.
“I was uhm, I was just looking around.” you said, your voice coming out hesitant.
He raised an eyebrow at you, eyeing you quickly and biting back a smile. It’s not the first time he has encountered customers like you, coming in in disguise to shop, some even leaving without stepping inside. You were nervous and embarrassed, he clearly could see that.
Bringing a hand up to your face he took the glasses and removed them from your face, revealing your pretty eyes that were already wide in surprise and frantically looking at everything and everyone but him.
“If you’re going to just look around, you should remove these at least so you could see better.” He said while chuckling, “I’m Sunwoo by the way, I’d gladly assist you today.”
“Thank you, Sunwoo. But I was just passing by, not really shopping.” you said one more time, rather than trying to convince him it sounded more like you were trying to convince yourself of it.
“Are you sure? I mean, based on your outfit, the dark shades and the way you’re holding your bag, I can tell that you entered the shop with plans of buying something but you got too embarrassed and if it wasn’t for me talking to you, you would’ve ran out. Am I right?” He tilted his head to the side slightly and raised an eyebrow at you.
You pulled your hood away from your head, fixing your hair with a huff, “Fine, yes. I wanted to get a.... toy.” you said, still avoiding his eyes.
“Do you have anything in mind? A dildo, vibrator, perhaps both in one?” he asked and for the first time you locked eyes with him, he was very handsome and that smile, ugh that smile was enough to get your knees buckling.
“I don’t know, I came here without a clue of what exactly I'm looking for.” you laughed nervously but he smiled at you yet again
“Don’t worry, that’s why I'm here. First of all I need to know something, do you prefer clit or g-spot stimulation?”
“Well I have never had a g-spot orgasm,” you chuckle awkwardly, remembering how your ex never really focused on your pleasure and rather on his own, as well as other casual one night stands you’ve had here and there, which is why you’re currently standing on a sex shop. Hoping to get something to pleasure you the way no guy has ever done, and when you look up at him again he is just looking at you expectantly, “so I think a clit one will work better.”
“A vibrator it is then!” he said excitedly, clapping his hands together, “please follow me.”
You followed him through the shop towards the other side, glancing around and seeing the amount of toys there were besides the typical ones you knew. There were nipple clamps, butt plugs, whips, cock rings, lubes. Eyes wide and a deep pink blush over your cheeks as you eyed them, quickly turning around and gluing your eyes on the back of the tall and handsome worker.
“Here it is, our most famous vibrator.” he said, suddenly stopping and making you crash on his back, letting out a small sorry you took a few steps back and observed the pink colored device on his hand.
“This guy here is made from body safe silicone, it has 10 ultra powerful vibration intensities and 6 vibration patterns. It’s usb rechargeable and shower friendly too. Pretty good for someone who is just starting to get into toys.” he explained, extending the toy out for you to take it and see it yourself, but instead of focusing on the pink toy, your eyes were glued to his long pretty fingers. Unsure if it was because of the shop’s atmosphere or because you were that needy, your mind started to wonder how those fingers would feel if he- wait, no. You blinked rapidly, quickly glancing up at him and nodded, “I’ll buy that one.”
He raised his eyebrows at you, “Are you sure? You don’t want to see other options? There are some other ones with more functions.” he suggested but you quickly shook your head.
“Alright then.” he grinned and started to walk towards the cash register.
“Would you like to buy anything else?” he asked as he started to scan the code, looking up at you a few seconds later only to see you looking at some cuffs that were on the counter next to you.
“Perhaps those?” he suggested.
You looked at him, shaking your head and looking down as you took out your wallet, “I don’t have anyone to use those with so I’ll pass. How much do I owe you?”
He raised an eyebrow at you, biting his lip to prevent a smirk from forming on his lips as he just learned that you were single, but you caught it and yet again, just by it you were somehow getting aroused. Damn it, you really need to get out of there soon and get home right now.
“That would be $95.” he said and you immediately handed him the money.
He started to work packing your order, and you noticed he was hesitant about something. Eyeing him curiously until he finally decided to speak up.
“You don’t remember me?” he questioned.
You frowned, “Remember you?”
“Yeah from school, I’m Kim Sunwoo. We were classmates pretty much from kids until highschool.” he chuckled.
Your eyes widened in shock and horror, your life almost flashing right in front of you. As if this wasn’t already embarrassing enough, the guy working there and helping you get a sex toy, was an old friend.
“I thought you would recognize me. I guess I changed?” he chuckled, trying to hide the small disappointment from you not recognizing him.
You took the bag and tried to hide it in your purse but it was too big so frustrated you simply rolled the plastic bag with the box trying to cover the name of the shop on it and held it closer to you.
“Thank you for purchasing here at Cupid’s Box. I hope to see you around here again.” He said smiling at you but you quickly nodded and muttered a quick thank you before turning around and quickly walked towards your car, totally missing the way he made emphasis on the last sentence.
You arrived back home, already feeling a little bored as it was still a little too early. Your mind going back to Sunwoo, there was something about him that caught your eye. Just thinking about him already made you feel that tingling sensation down there, biting your lip you took the toy from the bag and went into your room.
Laying in bed after removing your clothes, hands exploring your own body, sliding your hand down your body, thinking all the time about Sunwoo, wishing it was his hand the one touching you right now. A soft moan leaving your lips the moment your fingers came in contact with your already sensitive clit, squirming a little as you started to rub it slowly.
You extended your arm to the side where you left the vibrator, taking it and turning it on in the lowest mode, you opened your legs a little more, fingers spreading your own folds as you lowered the toy against your clit. Moaning loudly as it sent waves of pleasure, throwing your head back, thinking about how that pretty face would look between your legs with those pretty plump lips eating you out. You clicked on another button, putting the vibrator on a higher mode, the sudden shock making you close your legs with the toy still between them as you became a whiny mess.
You were getting closer to your orgasm, but before you could even reach it, the vibrator stopped working. Snapping your eyes open, you clicked continuously on the buttons trying to get it on again.
“This can’t be happening.” you groaned in frustration, taking the toy from between your legs and continued pushing every button. You stood up from bed and grabbed the charger, maybe it ran out of battery. But plugging in you realized the battery light didn’t turn on, which meant the vibrator completely died out of nowhere after purchasing it just an hour ago.
“Best one my ass.” you muttered angrily, quickly putting on some clothes again after cleaning up and throwing the toy into your purse, storming out of your apartment and driving all the way to the shop again.
It was almost closing time, Sunwoo was preparing everything to close when he saw a car carelessly pull up in front of the shop, sighing and thinking that maybe it was another weird customer doing some last minute shopping before their night wild adventures. But to his surprise he saw you walking into the store, hair a little messy as well as the clothes, it was like you just threw on whatever and didn’t even look in the mirror.
Raising his eyebrows as he watched you walk towards him, hand going inside your bag and pulling the vibrator you got earlier that day, slamming it down on the counter right in front of him and looking down at it with a questioning look before looking back at you, this time noticing your flushed cheeks.
“I want a refund.” you said glaring at him.
“I’m sorry but our policy says we can’t refund money for us-”
“This thing died on me right before I was about to orgasm. It didn’t even last 20 minutes and it simply stopped working. It seems I just can’t get pleasure, not even with a damn toy. My ex, who was a total asshole by the way, never cared about satisfying me too, no guy has ever for that matter. I came here hoping to get something better that could do the work they don’t but I just got scammed because this thing didn’t do anything.” you rambled and Sunwoo only stared at you. You were very frustrated, sexually frustrated to be exact, so you didn’t care at this point about rambling to a hot old classmate at a sex shop.
“I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, some toys come with malfunctions from the factory. Since the toy has been used I can’t give you a refund, but I can offer you some amazing deals for another toy.” he suggested, quickly glancing at the clock to his side.
“No, I don’t want another toy! Or maybe I do, I don’t know. I just want to be fucked either by a dick or a toy, I don’t care anymore.” you groaned, throwing your hands in the air.
Sunwoo glanced at the clock again, 9:00 PM finally, closing time. Smirking, he turned around to look at you again. “Here at Cupid’s Box, our customer’s satisfaction is our priority. So let me make it up to you and not exactly with a toy.”
It took you a moment to fully process what he just said, opening your mouth to talk only to close it again. You were taken aback, but you weren’t even sure if he really insinuated that or you just misinterpreted his words.
“How?” you asked, decided to play along and maybe get to somewhere with it.
“Let me be the one to pleasure you,” He smirked, walking behind the counter until he was out of there and in front of you. Placing his hands against the counter, making sure you cage you in his arms, he leaned closer to you, lips ghosting over yours as he kept talking, “let me be the one to make up for the toy and all those assholes you’ve slept with that doesn’t know how to treat you right and give you what you need.”
“Do it already then.” you said and he crashed his lips against yours, hands messily touching each other. You weren’t the only one who wanted this, the moment he stepped in Sunwoo laid his eyes on you, so timid and innocent yet you wanted to buy a sex toy. But then when he took off your glasses he recognized you, the person who he always had a crush on, old feelings surfacing again and seeing you buying toys really turned him on. Leaving him the entire day alone with his imagination thinking about you using the vibrator and maybe, just maybe, thinking of him as you did.
He lowered his hands, unbuttoning your pants and dragging them down. He grabbed you by the waist and lifted you up, placing you on the counter without breaking the kiss. He settled between your legs, moving his hands up to lift your shirt and remove your bra. Licking his lips when he saw your exposed body, his cold fingers ghosting over your nipples, watching them get hard before leaning down to wrap his pretty lips around one.
He explored your upper body with his lips and tongue, attacking your neck and chest, leaving marks as he lowered a hand until it was on your clothed core, making you gasp and buck your hips against his hand. He smirked against your skin, liking the way you were reacting to his touch and he didn't even start yet. He pressed his fingers against it, feeling your wetness through the material.
“You’re already this wet for me?” He murmured, trailing kisses all the way up to your neck.
He pushed your panties to the side, fingers tracing up and down your slit before pushing two inside you. The coldness of his fingers just made it feel even better before they warmed up, he moved his head and captured your lips once again as he kept pumping his fingers in and out of you. He pulled his fingers out of you and pulled down your panties, spreading your legs again and kneeling down until his face was in front of you.
He decided to tease you painfully slowly, looking up at you with a smirk on his face before sticking his tongue out and giving you a quick lick, lips leaving kisses all over your thighs before moving back and started giving you short kitten licks. The movements of his tongue were slow but precise, starting from your slit all the way up towards your clit. Flicking the sensitive bud with the tip of his tongue, earning a moan from you. Smirking proudly against your folds, he decided to speed up his work.
Thrusting two fingers inside you again, his lips wrapped around your clit and started to lick and suck on it, feeling you clench around his fingers making him groan against you. The sounds coming out from his throat sent vibrations against you, lowering a hand you ran your fingers through his curly hair, pulling on it as you started to grind against his mouth. He curled his fingers inside you, pressing on your sweet spot as his tongue quickly laped over your clit.
“that’s it, cum on my mouth.” he murmured, tongue going back to doing its job, pushing you over the edge seconds later and orgasming. You let go of his hair, slamming your hand on the counter for support as you leaned back, shaking and moaning in pleasure as he kept licking clean your folds.
You opened your eyes, looking down at him as he placed one last kiss on your inner thigh and stood up, licking his lips.
“You taste so sweet.” he said, hands sneaking around your waist pulling you towards him, lips meeting yours again into a slower but still heated kiss. He lifted you up from the counter, helping you to get off.
Hands quickly moving to unbutton his pants and pulling them down along with his underwear, his erection touching your thighs making you pull away. You looked down, licking your lips at the sight, quickly getting on your knees you wrapped a hand around it and took him into your mouth, humming in satisfaction as you did. You bobbed your head, taking him fully before pulling away, using your hand to jerk him off. Your tongue giving him a long lick from the base to the tip, lips wrapping around it again.
“Oh fuck, fuck Y/N.” he said under his breath. Looking down, eyes fixed on how pretty you are looking with his dick in your mouth. You started to speed up your movements, making him shut his eyes and groan. But before he could even get closer to his own climax, he pulled you away and helped you up. A hand wrapped around your neck and the other one cupping your boob, thumb playing with your nipple.
“I want to fuck you, I want to cum with my dick buried inside of you.” he said, lips hovering yours as he spoke before pressing them and kissing you, biting your lip as he pulled away.
“Wait, what if someone walks in?” you said, remembering you were still in the shop.
“Are you worrying about that now? Someone could have already walked in and see your pretty pussy being eaten by me or you sucking my cock.” he chuckled, “this is a sex shop, weird and kinky people walk in every day. I don’t think they would have a problem seeing me fuck you right here, doesn’t being caught excites you? Hm?” he said, murmuring against your skin as he trailed kisses down your neck.
Those words alone were making you wet again already, throbbing and clenching around nothing as he whispered next to your ear and neck, his hot breath fanning over your skin and sending shivers down your spine. He turned you around, bending you over the counter and spreading your legs with his knee. He removed his shirt and threw it somewhere on the floor along with the other clothes, pumping himself a few times as he took a good look at you all bent over, throbbing and waiting for him.
He teased your entrance with the tip, pushing in slowly and taking it out again, making you whine. “Sunwoo, please. Just put it in already, please. Fill me up, I need to feel you inside me, I need you...” you begged, eyes shut and fingers gripping the edge of the counter.
“You really want it? Do you really want me to fuck you Y/N?” he asked, slapping his cock against your clit, what a tease.
“Just do it already Sunwoo or I swear t-”
He thrusted deep in you, making you gasp. It felt better than what you imagined, he filled you up just right, thrusting at a fast pace just like you needed, making sure you felt every inch as he was balls deep inside you. Your nipples rub against the cold surface of the counter as your tits bounced with every snap of his hips, adding more pleasure to the whole thing.
You were soaked, aching for him ever since you saw him earlier. It has been quite a long time since anyone has been inside of you, let alone fucking you this good. It was a pleasure that you never felt with anyone else, and definitely not even with the short period of time that vibrator worked. You hissed as he pulled out of you and slammed back in, hands sliding down from your hips to squeeze your ass before slapping it, his hand leaving a red mark.
His hand slid down your ass and towards your thigh, lifting your leg up until your knee was resting against the edge of the counter, the new angle giving him not only a better view but better access for him to sneak his hand between your legs and start rubbing your clit in circles. The new position making his cock hit your g-spot with every single thrust, “oh fuck.” you wailed, starting to clench around him.
Leaning down to kiss your shoulder as he kept thrusting and stimulating your clit, “come on baby, cum for me.” he murmured, your whimpers filling his ears making him groan by your hot sounds.
You felt it bubbling up in your stomach, slowly washing all over you until you were screaming out his name, still clenching around him as you rode out of your orgasm. You managed to lean back a little, just enough to turn your head to the side just enough, he cupped the side of your neck and leaned in to kiss you. He thrusted hard a few more times before he came, grunting and moaning your name against your lips. Feeling him twitch inside of you and filling you up with his cum.
He moved slowly inside you, making both of you whimper at the overstimulation. Letting go of your face he leaned back, pulling out of you and resting his forehead against your shoulder, you could feel his warm cum leaking out of you. He took a few seconds to steady his breathing before taking a step back just to see how his cum was dripping down your core, smirking proudly.
He extended a hand behind the counter and took out some wipes and paper towel, helping you clean up before handing you your clothes. You leaned back against the counter for support, your legs still shaking from the action. He finished putting on his clothes and turned around to look at you, a warm smile and fond look over his features now.
“You do that with every customer?” you questioned, unsure of what to say, trying to lift the mood even more in a playful way.
“Not really, you’re the first one.” he chuckled, making you raise an eyebrow at him. “And the last one because once my boss finds out what I did here, he will fire me. Not that I mind, I was planning to quit anyway.”
There was silence between you two, glancing at him to see him fixing his hair, probably not knowing what to say either.
“Thank you, Sunwoo. That was amazing.” you whispered, and you really meant it.
He turned around to look at you, his eyes getting lost in yours and a smile making its way on his lips. Shaking his head slightly, as if telling you that you don’t even have to thank him.
He took a step closer to you, “I, uh…” he was getting lost in his own words, not knowing how to properly phrase them. “I don’t want this to be just a one time thing and I don’t mean it just for the sex. Even though it was indeed amazing, I also want to be able to take you out and let me treat you right, like you deserve.”
You bit your lip, a blush creeping up on your cheeks and a smile already forming on your lips, “I would love that.”
His smile grew bigger, his eyes turning into cute crescents and you felt your heart swoon. “I have to close up, how about we get some dinner?”
“Sounds just perfect.” you said, leaning in and pecking his cheek, “i’ll wait.”
But before he could turn around to lock the front door, he extended an arm, taking something from the counter beside you. Wriggling in the air the handcuffs you were eyeing earlier that day, “better get these for the next time.” he said, shoving them into his pocket and winked at you, finally turning around to lock the place.

not much of a birthday
Tumblr media
Headcanons and a smut drabble for Aizawa’s birthday! I struggled to think of as many headcanons as I did for the other characters. Hopefully the smut makes up for it!
Warnings: it’s nowhere near as rough as the last one, but the smut does include a Daddy kink
Aizawa’s birthday is difficult. It’s not that he hates it. He’s just kinda… whatever about it. It makes planning a birthday party, or any celebration really, and buying presents a challenge.
Large gatherings aren’t his favorite. If you truly want to throw a birthday party, don’t make it a surprise party and only invite his closest friends (seven people max). Too many people mean he’s going to sulk in his room the entire time, not wanting to deal with the large, noisy crowd. He wants his birthday to be quiet and relaxing.
Buying presents is so damn difficult. He doesn’t really have hobbies or interests outside of being a teacher and a Hero. Well, he likes cats but you can’t buy a cat every single year. The best option is clothing. Everyone could always use new pairs of socks and underwear.
A leather wallet, beard softener, a simple, handsome sweater, and maybe a new type of coffee are also some options. He’s a laidback guy with laidback interests. Keep the presents to things he needs and will definitely use. If they’re too elaborate or eccentric, he’ll never get around to using it.
Tumblr media
“I hope you like them,” you said with the best smile you could muster as you sat the presents on the coffee table. The wrapping was beautiful but the content wasn’t particularly intriguing.
Shouta unwrapped the first one: a package of socks. The next was a package of boxer briefs. Then two nice, simple T-shirts. Then a gift bag with a new brush, hair ties, reparative shampoo, and protein conditioner to prevent hair breakage from all the shit he puts it through.
He thanked you for each one.
“You’re welcome. But there’s one more.” You nodded to the last, most specialized one. It took a few weeks to finally think of and find something that wasn’t as plain as underwear.
He grabbed the flat present off the table and unwrapped it. The tape ripped easily, letting him see the dark brown leather padfolio. It fit his laptop, notebook, and had plenty of smaller pockets. It’d hopefully help him be just a little more organized in his commutes.
After looking through all of it, he gave a rare smile and kissed you, mumbling as he pulled away, “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Happy birthday, Sho.” He narrowed his eyes when you stroked his cheek. “What?”
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“What is it?”
You sighed at his too-intense gaze, knowing he wasn’t going to let it go. “I’m glad you like the presents. I really am. I just… I guess I wish I could buy you something exciting and unique. I want to make you feel special.” You rubbed the back of his neck, massaging the strained muscles.
“You don’t need to buy me expensive things to make me feel special.”
“I know. I know that. But… I want to spoil you for at least one day and you make doing that incredibly difficult. I feel like you deserve something more for all that you do. I just want to spoil you,” you lightly laughed and kissed his temple. “For once.”
“You don’t need to-”
“I want to,” you whispered against his skin.
Shouta grabbed your hand and met your eyes. “These past few days have been more than I needed.” He kissed your nose then your mouth. “After weeks of screaming teenagers, a weekend with you is all I want,” he confided.
“Are you sure?”
“I’m positive.” He drew you close and swung your leg over his lap. He lifted your shirt off, connecting a deep kiss after. His tongue wandered over yours. You sighed, casually grinding, pressing your breasts against him.
His hands drifted to your front and unbuttoned your pants. Without breaking the kiss, you stood. Rough hands slipped in the sides and yanked them and your underwear down. Fingers frisked you, not afraid of being brusque as they circled your clit, making you widen your stance, giving him more room to fondle.
Two fingers slipped in. They crudely waved as his palm grazed your clit. Your legs tensed and your spine curved towards him, wanting to be closer. But his clothes were still on. Leaving his lips for only one second, you removed his shirt. Pulling his sweatpants down was next and was awkward with his hand unabashedly prodding you.
A flick jolted your clit, stopping your actions. You gasped around his tongue, trying to moan his name. Another thwack jostled you. Shouta’s bitter rasp provoked you awfully, “You know what to call me.”
“Daddy,” you softly cried.
“Good girl,” he praised and tugged you into his lap. You couldn’t ask what he wanted you to do because his fingers reentered, just as crude, just as grazing. When you reached for him, he warned, “Don’t touch me.”
You didn’t object. Your head dropped to his shoulder through his fondling. The two fingers inside folded, growing rougher by the second. His other hand played with your thigh and ass, scratching and kneaded and nailing your skin raw.
Your hips jerked on their own. You tightened for the spank and reprimand, but it never came. Which was weird. You gently whispered, “Daddy?”
“Hmm?”
You didn’t know how to ask why he didn’t scold you like he normally does. Thankfully, you didn’t need to figure it out. Lips lined over your neck and shoulders. Hands rubbed along your sides and back, keeping you warmly close. He spoke hushedly, “I don’t want to punish you today. Just listen to me, okay?”
You sat up to see his smile and nodded. His thumb pulled your bottom lip down. “You’re a good girl. You can ride me now,” he granted with a deep kiss.
Lining him up, you lowered, sighing happily into his mouth. His heat and heft fit comfortably, perfectly inside. You wasted no time and hugged his shoulders as you began grinding. Arms embraced you. Lips and tongue skimmed your skin. Muscled thighs tensed and swayed with your hips.
He sped up. It excited you to do the same, craving to hear him groan. You wanted to give him the pleasure he always gave you. It was his birthday after all.
Raising on your knees, you bounced, stirring a hint of sound from him. It also motivated his hips to hump up. They met yours in the middle, nudging him nicely and loudly against your front wall. Your breasts bobbed with the faster motion. Heat encircled one. His first groan rippled over your nipple, sucking, damn near gnawing on it.
Black hair tangled around your fingers. You clung tight, keeping his mouth suckling. Your thighs hastened, hips hustled on, working up a thin sweat, tightening your body, almost there.
But he pulled away, halting your hips. You whimpered shamelessly, “Daddy, don’t.”
“Are you going to make me cum as well or should I do that myself?”
“No, it’s your birthday,” you panted, gripping his arm, jerking in his hands.
“I don’t think you can.”
You tucked into his neck. Hands grasped and arms lifted you up as he moved, laying you down on the couch, making sure your head rested on the pillows. He gutturally purred into your ear, “My birthday present is you. Let Daddy do it.”
Without waiting, he quickly snapped his hips. You scratched his back and moaned. His shoulder blades wavered with his humping. His thighs spread you bare. His back bowed beautifully.
The thrusts stopped. Your whine came out louder than expected. His heat deserted you when he sat up and pulled out, leering between your legs. Thumbs felt up and down your outer lips, petting with pressure. They bore heavily over your clit before caressing again, stretching you open, smoothing you closed, toying with all the delicate nerves. A particularly brutal sweep on your clit induced a high-pitched gasp. You clutched his forearm but his fingers continued. Your hips and thighs fidgeted, struggling to get away under his weight. His smirk did not go unnoticed.
You pawed his chest, fussing, “Please.”
Spit dripped from his mouth, slowly dribbling onto you. Thumbs persisted their patterns, now wetter, harsher.
“Please…”
“Please what?”
“Please, Daddy, please, fuck me, please. I want you.”
“There you go.” He lifted your thigh to rest on his chest, lowered to kiss you, and resumed his thrusting. Your leg bobbed with his sinks. “Is this want you wanted?”
You nodded with a smile, scratching his sides. He paused mid-thrust and chided in a cautionary tone, “I may not punish you but you still need to be grateful.”
“Thank you, Daddy. Thank you.”
“That’s a good girl.”
“Really?”
“I promise.” Hot air puffed as his lips returned, so wet and so warm, heating more with his sweeping tongue. Hips slowly swayed. His scarred abs and hair-dusted chest fluttered under your fingers. Small flattery and honeyed words voiced into your mouth.
“I love you,” you breathed.
“I love you too.”
The softness faded. Thrusts steadily built up. Teeth pinched and pulled your bottom lip, taxing the sensitive skin. They moved to your neck next. Pinches turned to full-mouthed bites, running all over as he clamped hard, trying to mark you as much as possible.
“Daddy,” you choked out through the heightening breaths, seeking his permission.
His husky utter heated your skin, “You can cum. You don’t need to wait for me.”
“Thank you, Daddy. Thank you, thank you, thank-”
“Shhh,” he hushed into your neck.
Your nails rooted in his sides, signaling your looming release. Lips covered yours and swallowed your peaking moans. Wetly and weakly, you mumbled into his mouth, around his tongue, “More.”
He lifted until his tip remained inside then buried in with a heavy, strong thrust. His pace maintained heavy and strong too. His groans matched the intensity. Your hips and thigh hurt so wonderfully under his mass. Moans trapped in your throat, leaving you huffing, hot, and hanging.
Dry, jugular groans tipped you over, “Cum for me. I know you want to. Cum for Daddy.”
Your body went rigid with clamped muscles. Shallow breaths ceased. Heat flooded but no moans sounded. The internal pleasure kept you gasping for air through your release- gasping for his finish- gasping for your Daddy, who kissed and caressed your trembling frame.
When you slouched, he stood and kneeled over your shoulders, holding himself for you. He entered the second your lips opened, salty and throbbing. Using the armrest to support himself, his thrusts started anew. You gagged as he hit the back of your throat. But his hips didn’t slow.
Looking up, you could tell he was close. He glared at you. A blush painted his cheeks and chest. You snagged his ass, holding him in your mouth.
“Fuck.” He bucked further. Though it caused another gag, you still grappled at him, letting him fuck your throat. His grunts grated too low to understand, but you didn’t need to. Hair pressed to your nose as he drove fully inside. Joints locked. Fingers fastened in your hair. Liquid salt spurt, trickling, choking.
You sucked him as long and deep as you could until breath became your priority. You eventually tapped his thigh, needing air. Your mouth was emptied. Saliva and cum connected you to his depleted erection. The string split, driveling, messing your chin and breasts.
Before you could so much as move, Shouta nabbed his shirt and cleaned you, careful of your swollen lips and bruises. His scowl at his concentration was cute, slightly puffing his bottom lip out. He noticed and raised an eyebrow.
You waved it off, “Nothing. Happy birthday, Daddy.”
“Thank you. And thank you for the presents.” He finished his wiping and tenderly kissed you, lovingly brushing his tongue along your lips. “Tomorrow you can take me to a movie.”
You exhaled a dry laugh, “That’s not exactly exciting or unique but it’s a start, I guess. But right now, can you get me some ibuprofen? My neck’s sore.”
“And a heating pad?”
“Please and thank you.”
Shouta kissed you once more and went to get the items. You patiently waited, wanting to cuddle him for the rest of the night.

‘Mark me in your heart’
Tumblr media
This was supposed to be my birthday special for Mark but a lot of things happened so this came out late. 😅 This is in connection to my Sakura series and requested by @cosmiclatte28
characters : babysitter! Mark Lee, Yuta, Yuta’s wife, Cherry, Jae, the girl Mark likes
word count : 2k words
genre: fluff
summary : Cherry and Jae tried to help Mark with the girl he liked.
warnings : Mark being bullied by two kids and their dad
a/n: I didn’t use Y/N here to avoid confusion and sorry for the endless conversations.
Mark tapped his foot along the concrete of the front of the Nakamoto household’s door. Maybe it will be Yuta who would open the door for him since he was the one who asked him to come. Maybe Jae since he liked visitors so much or even Cherry, when the other three are focused on what they usually do. So it was a surprise when his hyung’s wife opened the door for him, “Hi Mark,” she greeted, opening the door wide for him. “Thank you for agreeing to babysit.”
He shook his head. He had nothing to do anyway. And it’s fun spending time with the two kids. They both stopped in the living room of the house seeing the youngest in the household jumping on the couch, next to his dad. The older girl visibly sighed as Cherry can be seen on another chair, reading a book. “Mom is already angry.” She warned but Yuta kept jumping on the squeaking couch making Jae giggle.
The guest shook his head at the visible annoyance of the woman beside him. “I swear I’m taking care of three kids.” She whispered before calling Yuta’s name and giving him a glare.
“We really should have bought the trampoline,” he said, jumping on the couch then landing on the floor. “Hi, Mark. Thanks for agreeing to this.”
“No problem, hyung.” he whispered while bumping their fist together. Jae did the same, bumping fists with Mark, before returning to jumping on the couch that made Cherry roll her eyes. “I hope the check-up goes well.”
Cherry put down her book on the table. “Can’t I really not come, eomma?” She asked, pouting at her mom. “I want to see the baby.” She whispered before touching the older’s stomach bump.
The older woman shook her head, smiling at her. “We talked about this, right? We can come and see the baby later.” Cherry nodded that made her giggle then kissed the top of her head. “Don’t give Mark samchon a hard time.” Cherry nodded before kissing her on the cheek. “Jae.” The youngest boy went down the couch and kissed his mom’s cheek. “Behave yourself.”
“Can you buy me ice cream when you get back?” Jae asked that made his mom shake her head. He turned to Yuta who only nodded, making his wife hiss at him. “Also buy donuts for noona, she likes chocolates.” Yuta chuckled, nodding at him. “Mark samchon likes watermelons and buy apples for the baby, appa.”
“I swear you’re more pregnant than your mom.” Yuta joked before giving him a kiss on the top of his head. “Jae, no playing with anything flammable. And Cherry…”
“Yes dad, I know where the fire extinguisher is.”
Mark laughed. They’re a weird family. The couple bid farewell, again thanking Mark for looking after the two kids. He even heard Yuta apologizing although he doesn’t know why. Jae kept on jumping on the couch, Cherry lying on the small chair and still reading her book.
“Appa said you shouldn’t read against the light, noona.” Jae warned in between huffing breaths.
“And eomma will scold you if you keep jumping on the couch.” she claimed before flipping the page of her book, “Are you a monkey?”
Jae huffed and sat on the couch with a pout. “I swear you two are just like your parents.” The two kids made a disgusted expression, Jae explaining that they’re always hugging each other while Cherry claimed that Jae doesn’t shower so she doesn’t want to hug her brother. Mark only laugh at that.
“Samchon, don’t you have anything else to do today? It’s Saturday.” the younger boy asked and Mark shook his head, asking Jae what he wants to do while sitting next to him. “I’m a little tired. Can we just sit down?” Totally weird.
Cherry closed her book with a loud thud that made the two look at her. “Samchon, don’t you have a girlfriend?” Jae started bouncing on the couch, asking him repeatedly if he is seeing someone. Really, what’s wrong with these two? Mark shook his head. “Do you want me to introduce you to someone? My art teacher...”
“My Math teacher is pretty.” Jae stopped Cherry on her words then smiled as if proud of what he did. Mark just chuckled when the older glare at her brother. “She’s also hot.”
“Hot? Do you know what that means?”
“Pretty? Appa calls eomma that.” Mark shrugged. “Do you like someone, samchon?” A smile crept up Mark’s lips then masked it with a cough. “You do? Noona is good with love stuff. Appa comes to her for help.”
Cherry looked sideways with a smile on her lips that looks very much like her dad’s. They’re becoming too alike. "So who is this girl, samchon?" the girl asked, book forgotten on the table.
Mark sighed before leaning on the couch, the two kids on both his sides listening attentively. "She works in the coffee shop opposite the office building."
"Have you talked to her?" Jae asked.
"Did you ask for her name?" Cherry chimed in.
"I ordered coffee from her. And her name is written on the name tag." Cherry whispered that he's no fun and Jae just scoffed at him. "I just find her pretty. Like a crush."
Again, Jae laughed. "All girls are pretty. That was what appa says." Wow, Mark thought, he didn't know Yuta is that romantic. "You should talk to her. Cherry noona can help you."
He does want to strike up a conversation with her and not the usual 'I'll get a watermelon shake' or 'My name is Mark'. He wanted to know her name and what she likes for coffee. "You can help me?"
The younger girl smirked then lightly coughed. "The first step is to get her flowers." But he doesn't know what flowers she liked. And isn't it awkward? They haven't talked before and giving her flowers will be too much. "Pink roses are good, they mean admiration."
"How do you know these about the flowers?" Mark lightly glanced at Jae who just shrugged, whispering that it's a girl thing. "Pink roses. Got it."
"Then ask her out for a date." Jae claimed.
"That quickly?"
"It can be a dinner or movie," Cherry noted. "But samchon, don't ask her for coffee. She works in a café, she's probably sick of coffee." Mark nodded, that's right. Why didn't he realize that before?
So flowers then dinner or movies. "Then walk her home." Jae continued. Walk her home, got it.
"Don't kiss her yet." Wait, what? "Ask her if she wants to go for another date."
"What if she doesn't want to?"
"Then it's game over, samchon." Jae teased, tapping his shoulder.
Cherry smiled. "You'll do great, samchon. My technique is tried and tested by eomma and appa." Mark chuckled. "How are you going to introduce yourself to her?"
"I'm Mark…" he said hesitatingly, "You can mark me in your heart."
Jae giggled while Cherry just stared at him in surprise. "You do need a lot of help, samchon." The youngest exclaimed.
--------
The house is quiet, too quiet, that Yuta and his wife had to look at each other before entering the house. Did something happen? Yuta shouted for the kids and it was Jae who answered that they're upstairs. The pregnant woman sat on the couch and noticed the book Cherry was reading earlier as her husband put the snacks and fruits in the kitchen.
Footsteps can be heard followed by Jae jumping next to his mom and hugging her, whispering that he missed her. Yuta's laugh echoed through the whole room when Mark came down the stairs, his white hoodie filled with different colored stains that looks like make-up. His lips are red, eyes highlighted with thick eyeliner that he looks like a panda. There's a red circle on his cheeks and a colorful hat that is probably Jae's with a colorful scarf wrapped on his neck that is owned by Cherry.
"What did the two of you do to Mark?" the older girl asked, standing up to get some towels for the younger guy. He thanked her then wiped the color on his face, surprised that they put too much makeup on him.
Both Chery and Jae looked so guilty seated on the couch. "He's going on a date but samchon is really clueless." Cherry answered and Yuta bit his lip to prevent from laughing. Mark was surprised, he suddenly felt called out.
"He even said that she can mark him in her heart because his name is Mark." Jae chimed in.
Their mom sighed. "I know you two care about Mark samchon but isn't it better for him to be himself when he wants to date a girl?" Both Cherry and Jae nodded, apologizing for what they had done.
"And we can mark him in our hearts." Yuta teased that earned a glare from both his wife and Mark. He's really childish sometimes.
"What happened to the check-up?" Mark asked, sitting beside Jae on the couch and still wiping his face. The cap and scarf have already been removed. "Is it a boy or a girl?"
"A boy!" Jae exclaimed.
"A girl," Cherry claimed calmly. "And appa you said you're going to give us money if we guessed right."
The older girl glared at Yuta who took out his wallet and gave each kid a bill. Mark's eyes widened in surprise, "You have twins?" The pregnant girl nodded. "Congratulations noona!"
"I hope you won't get tired of babysitting." She whispered and Mark swore he saw his life flashed in his very eyes. Another boy and girl after Jae and Cherry? This will be chaotic as hell.
Jae handed him the two bills Yuta gave that startled the adults. "Samchon, you need this money to date." Cherry claimed that made the younger boy nodded.
"Thank you for saving me money to give Mark." Yuta exclaimed that made the two kids revolt.
"You pay samchon for playing with us?"
"I won't be a soccer player when I grow up, I'll be like Mark samchon instead."
Mark laughed. They're a handful but being with them is fun. Maybe he can still take care of them in the long run.
-----
Mark blew large breaths to regulate his breathing while staring at his reflection from the doors of the café. “Introduce yourself, ask her name, ask her for dinner.” he repeated to himself before blowing another heavy breath. “You can do this Mark. Cherry’s plan is foul proof.” With another heavy breath, he opened the door that created a small bell sound.
She was already smiling, welcoming her. “I’ll get an iced latte.” he started, twirling his fingers.
“Not the usual watermelon shake, Mark?” the girl asked that startled him. She knows his name? Knows what his order is? Of course, Mark. You always drink watermelon shake. He shook his head, not knowing what to say. She already knows his name, he doesn’t have to introduce himself. What now? “And thank you for the pink roses, Mark.”
Wait, what? “Pink roses?”
She gestured to the vase behind with three pink roses. “Your nephew and niece are really cute.” She smiled while writing his name on the cup. That took Mark’s attention. Nephew and niece? He looked at her in confusion and she pointed at three customers by the window of the coffee shop. Of course, it’s the three of them.
“I’m sorry. It might have confused you.” He said rubbing the back of his neck. “But I think you’re really pretty.” The girl lightly giggled. “Do you want to have dinner with me after your shift?” He lightly glanced at her nametag and mentioned her name.
“I’m here until six pm.”
“I’ll wait,” Mark claimed then handed her the payment for the coffee and his loyalty card.
“Samchon, buy me a carrot cake,” Jae shouted and Yuta hushed him up, pulling the cap down his face in an attempt to hide from Mark. He even heard Cherry whisper that the plan will get ruined because of him. Really, those three.
“They’re really cute.” The girl whispered, smiling at them.
Mark smiled. “You’re cuter.”
He rolled his eyes when Yuta faked vomit and Jae laughed. “At least it’s better than ‘mark me in your heart’,” Cherry claimed that made the two boys laugh.
The girl laughed at his defeated look. “No worries Mark, I already marked you.” She claimed before handing him the coffee and the card with the sticker.
Mark smiled. This might be the start of something new.

Welcome to New York
@spookypotato and I (thank you again <3) wrote a fic for the server event that is going on at the moment and I wanted to share it here too, enjoy!

CW mentions of food and beverages
It knocked on Leo’s door at 2pm sharp, which didn’t surprise him at all; Kasey was always so dead on time, it scared him sometimes. The two had planned this day for over two weeks now and since Finn and Logan had their date today, Leo used the free flat to invite the other goalie over. He closed the fridge before he made his way into the hallway to open the door.
“Hello Knutty, long time no see,” laughed Kasey as he pulled the blonde in for a short hug.
“Come in, come in. I got everything prepared in the kitchen.”
“I hope you can still live here after today.”
“Honestly Blizz? No one is as bad as Finn and Logan at cooking, believe me. What they are able to do to food shouldn’t be possible.”
“I don’t even want to know.”
To prevent that from happening, Leo chose a simple meal to start with. When Kasey asked him to teach him how to cook he was a bit surprised at first, but he actually enjoyed the idea of teaching someone.
“Let’s start with chopping the vegetables, that should be easy, non?”, Leo suggested. It was better to know now, if this would be like the times he tried to teach Logan and Finn.
Surprisingly, the following minutes weren’t a complete disaster like he had expected, Kasey was actually quite decent at cooking and followed Leo’s instructions without trouble. It was fun to spend time together and their cheeks were still a bit red from all the laughter when they went over to the kitchen table.
Just as Leo was about to sit down his phone rang, “I’ll be back in a minute.”
It was a text from Finn.
Alex will be home over the weekend too, just wanted to let you know.
He was halfway through typing out an answer when he got an idea.
Don’t tell him Lo and I will be there
What? Why?
Let's bring Nat and Kase as a surprise. It won't be as obvious if he thinks we all can't come
I love you
Knew you'd like it, lyt
***
They had lost Kasey and Natalie in the airport, when Finn decided to buy Leo and Logan each an 'I heart NY-boys' shirt. A quick call told them that the couple was already outside.
It was colder in New York, the sky was grey but Finn felt warm when he stepped out of the airport. New York was home to him, it would always somehow be, and bringing Leo and Logan with him, especially Leo, since he hadn't been able to bring him as often yet, felt amazing. A warm body snuggled under his arm and he smiled.
“It’s cold,” Logan pouted and hid his face in Finn’s chest.
“I thought you were used to it. I'm pretty sure you even quoted Elsa on that once, baby."
When Logan just continued to pout, he gently leaned down to kiss his messy airplane curls, "If you let me go you can have my jacket.”
Logan was quiet for a minute, “No, you’re warmer.”
Leo chuckled and grabbed their suitcases, “Kase and Nat are over there. I think they spotted the taxi, let’s go.”
Logan peeled himself off of Finn, still pouting a bit but the thought of a warm car seemed to do the deal. Finn and Leo followed quickly, helping Kasey to put all their bags into the back of the car before getting in themselves. Finn leaned forward to tell the driver their destination.
It was quiet for a while after that, everybody was quite exhausted from the flight, Logan was already dosing off on Leo’s shoulder; he carefully moved his fingers through the brown curls, a loving look in his eyes.
“Thank you,” said Nat suddenly, looking at Leo.
“What did I do?”
“For coming up with the idea,” Kasey added, “We haven’t seen Alex for three months now, so, thank you for thinking of us.”
Leo smiled at them, “It’s unfair that you can't see him regularly and I thought it might be a nice surprise for him.”
“I hope he will like it,” Nat said sleepily, resting her head on Kasey’s shoulder.
“I’m glad my brother found you two, I really am. I mean, the distance sucks but he’s so happy with you. He deserves that more than anything,” said Finn and bumped his shoulder lightly with Kasey’s, careful not to wake Nat.
“I’m sorry.” Kasey said and Finn wasn't sure if it was to himself or someone else.
“What?”
“Well, I knew I loved your brother since Tampa and I didn’t have the guts to do something about it. It probably would have saved us some time.”
“Nah, who knows if everything would have worked out like it did now. Sure, maybe you could have saved some time and pain but I’m just glad you found your way now.”
“Thank-” Kasey started but got interrupted by the driver, “We are here, sir.”
Finn reached for his wallet but Kasey was faster, “Take it as some kind of thank you.”
Finn smiled at him. “Will we do it as planned?”
"Yep, we will wait around the corner, you go in."
Natalie and Kasey walked as quietly as possible but the loud noise of the three other suitcases was enough to drown out the rest anyway. The moment Finn knocked on the door, it flew open, as if the older O'Hara had been behind it for some time.
"Bubbles!"
"Alex!", Finn screamed with equal enthusiasm, laughing at the silly nickname. He threw his arms around his older brother and just held him tight. Finn missed him too, it's not easy if you grow up in a close relationship with your brother and suddenly you are miles and miles away.
Finn didn't want to let him go just yet and decided to continue their hug. It had been too long, really.
Alex just laughed and squeezed him tightly. "Come in, Mum and Dad already made tea and coffee and they bought your favourite- Leo? Logan? What are you doing here?"
At that Finn stepped back, looking at his brother sheepishly, but determined.
Alex's confused face made Logan chuckle, "Hello to you too, Red. How are you doing? I'm good, thank you. I missed you too." Alex rolled his eyes but gave them both a welcoming smile. "Finn can't go a day without us, so he asked us to come with us."
"I did not say that!"
"Mhh, whatever makes you sleep at night, sweetheart," Leo leaned down to kiss their pouting lover. Finn rolled his eyes at him.
Alex still seemed to be trying to piece everything together, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"Guess I just forgot," Finn shrugged and moved past his brother to greet his parents, pulling Leo with him. The taller boy had of course met the O'Hara's but he was still nervous. They had barely made it into the room before both got tackled by hugs.
"It's great to see you Haley," Leo said when he let go and received a loving pat on the cheek as a thank you. They switched places and her arms were replaced by a firm grip around Leo's shoulders.
"Where is my other boy?" Finn's mother asked, going up to her toes and looking around the room.
"Here," Logan said, who came into the living room right that instant, Alex close behind him. "There you are! Oh, come here I haven't seen you in ages!"
"Why do you get so excited to see Logan? You weren't that excited with me. Betrayed by my own mother, I can't believe it!" Alex complained, holding his hand over his heart.
His mother snorted at Alex's dramatic reaction. "Stop whining and make yourself useful, get some tea for Leo. You still prefer tea, right?"
"Yeah I do, thank you," Leo said with a smile and then blew Alex a kiss, who just subtly flipped him off in return.
The six settled down shortly after and Leo sent out a quick text to Kasey; not a minute later the doorbell rang again.
"Alex, would you be so kind?"
Alex gave his mother a quick nod, before making his way over to the door. He was expecting the mailman but the people in front of him were most definitely not a package. Alex just froze in place and he was pretty sure his mouth fell open too.
"Hi, baby," said Kasey with a soft exhale, his smile as bright as ever.
"Wha- I- What?" Alex still hadn't moved.
"Surprise!" said Natalie who threw herself at Alex, jumping up to wrap her legs around the boy's hips. He caught her easily and after another minute of shock, tears formed in his eyes and he pulled the blonde impossibly closer to his body. Alex put a hand on her cheek, kissing her softly. He blinked rapidly and looked up when they parted and Natalie jumped down to the ground again.
"That bad to see us, eh?", said Kasey softly, who still stood in the doorway and watched the whole interaction with a warm, fuzzy feeling around his heart.
"God, just- come here."
Alex didn't care about anything at all when he finally locked his lips with Kasey. His hands immediately went into the soft long hair of his boyfriend, craving as much closeness as possible. After another moment, Alex pressed their foreheads together, catching his breath.
The rustling behind them, broke through their shared breaths, "We'll give you a moment to catch up," Haley told them, a knowing smile on her lips as she ushered the other men into another room.
Somehow his mother always knew what was going on. He turned back to his partners, still unable to grasp that they were actually here, in New York City, with him.
"Missed us?" Nat asked as she stepped up close to Alex again, slotting herself underneath the already held out arm of her oldest boyfriend.
Resting his head on hers, he gestured for Kasey to join their group hug. "More than I could ever put into words."
"Love you, Alex." Kasey breathed out as he felt his boyfriend's arm wrap around his waist, snuggling his face into Alex's neck and placing a few soft kisses there.
Another arm was placed around Kasey's waist as Natalie gathered her boyfriends closer to her, breathing in the familiar smell of Mango Shampoo and of the sanitizer Kasey always uses after flights. It mixed with Alex's aftershave, that she still couldn't assign anything else than home, love and safety. It was Alex.
"Love you." she murmured, not willing to move her head further away that was necessary to get the words out.
Alex smiled at them. Oh, how he had missed this. How he had missed them.
"Love you both."

Tumblr media
——
It was safe to say you were not a fan of Fred Weasley.
Never have been, and most likely never will be. He was always loud, boisterous, arrogant, annoying, and most of all, found pleasure in disrupting the educational system any chance he could get. I mean, who does that, right?
Whether it be causing distractions with his equally-arrogant twin during class, or setting fireworks and other shenanigans loose in the hallways, you wanted to try and avoid both of them as much as possible.
But, it was Fred that you disliked more. He was the louder one, the one who knew exactly how to get under your skin and piss you off in all the wrong ways. The one that despite how much your friends thought him hilarious and charming, you’d never be able to get on the same page with. What was charming about someone who chose to disrespect all rules and live a carefree lifestyle?
That was not for you.
You were glad, on this day, that you could escape the confining castle walls and the hustle and bustle of the school on the weekend and make off to Hogsmeade with your pals, the cool autumn air a refreshing awakening as soon as you stepped outside. The leaves were changing colours and collecting in piles on the ground, the skies were gloomy and cloudy, and somehow, the smell of cinnamon was always in the air in the small Wizarding village.
“Can we head into Honeydukes’s afterwards?” your fellow Gryffindor, Megan, turned to ask as you guys entered the Three Broomsticks, the tip of her nose looking pink and her cheeks pale. It was rather cold for November.
“Sure thing,” you nodded, smiling in comfort at the familiar cozy atmosphere of the dingy pub. Students all around were crowded around in bundles, drinking hot butterbeer. You couldn’t wait to have one yourself.
Megan led you to the table where Ginny was sitting, a large cup of hot cocoa in her hands as she waved you guys over.
“Been waiting forever,” she grinned, “You guys go order, I’ll save your seats.”
You turned around and headed back towards the bar with Megan, the two of you catching the bartender’s attention and ordering yourselves each a nice hot butterbeer. You hadn’t felt so cold outside, but now that you were in the warmth, you could feel your fingers begin to burn as they thawed.
After a few moments wait, you grabbed the butterbeer mug between your already warm fingers and began to walk back to the table. You had to scooch around other tables and chairs, but eventually, you spotted Ginny’s red hair once more in the same table by the window.
Unfortunately, though, you spotted two other heads of red hair as well. Fred and George were crouched over their younger sister, a large Zonko’s bag on the table as they showed off their latest purchases.
“Bloody fantastic,” you groaned, causing Megan to chuckle as the two of you arrived at the table.
“Well, afternoon, ladies,” Fred grinned, taking his eyes off of his products to look at the two of you, “Fancy seeing you here.”
“Is it, though?” you rolled your eyes, sitting down and placing your mug on the table, “This is a school outing. There are students everywhere.”
Fred let out a laugh, “Well, not everyone decides to participate in such festivities.”
You let out a loud sigh and frowned, looking down to your drink to distract yourself from rebutting his comment. George had run off to go see Lee and another group of Gryffindors, so at least that was one down. If only Fred could leave as well.
After a few moments of uncomfortable silence, you felt Megan kick your leg under the table and so you shot her a look, asking her what was up.
“Well, guess I’ve best be off,” Fred said before she could reply to your glare, “Have a lovely afternoon.” As he passed by you, he placed his hand atop your head, “Especially you.”
“Don’t touch me,” you pulled your head out from under his hand, furrowing your eyebrows and mustering up your best scowl.
“Ah, intimidating,” Fred smirked, “I’m shaking in my bloody shoes.” Ginny and Megan stifled their laughter but you could hear them anyways. They were hardly being subtle.
“Get out of here, Weasley,” you turned way from him and faced your butterbeer once again, trying not to let him get to you. You had to fight a blush at Ginny and Megan’s laughter as Fred walked away, his chuckle fading into the loudness of the pub.
“Anyways,” Ginny grinned, pulling her hand away from her mouth, “Let’s change the subject before Y/N explodes.”
You snapped your head up to face her, your cheeks becoming rather warm, “I’m not going to explode, thank you very much. I just can’t stand your prat brothers.”
Ginny tossed her hair behind her shoulder and leaned forwards on the table, resting against her elbows, “You do a terrific job of hiding it.”
“Sorry, Gin,” you gave her a sheepish grin, “Tell them to stop being assholes. But I can try and be civil.”
Ginny wiggled her eyebrows and her and Megan exchanged a look. You ignored it, knowing they were probably thinking of something that you didn’t even want to know about, and took a long sip of butterbeer, letting the soothing, warm liquid calm you.
After sharing a nice long chat, Ginny having downed two whole hot cocoas, the three of you walked over to Honeyduke’s. The sun was gone and a thick layer of clouds covered the sky.
You really hoped it wouldn’t rain. You were chilly enough as it is. The last thing you wanted was to also be soaking wet.
Ginny held the door open as you and Megan climbed in afterwards, the warmth from the store immediately making a difference.
Megan took off to check out the latest line of sweets, her head disappearing within the busy store. Students were everywhere — eating, chatting, filling up bags of candies for long classes.
You noticed you had also lost Ginny. Where she had gone off to, you had no idea. But you took advantage of the fact that she was gone and made your way to the nearest shelf. It was incredibly tall and stacked with loads of different types of —
“Chocolate, a good choice,” a smooth voice said from behind you, causing you to jump and spin around, ready to knock over whoever had stepped close enough to speak in your ear.
You frowned as you faced Fred’s grinning figure.
“Oh, it’s you,” you rolled your eyes and turned back around, “I’d like to shop in peace. Bye bye.”
To your dismay, Fred pretended not to hear you and came to stand by your side, “As a resident expert on anything sweet — like myself — I recommend these guys.”
Fred reached up and grabbed a chocolate frog, placing it in your hand. You stared down at it, eyebrow cocked. You heard these were quite nice, honestly, but that didn’t mean you wanted to accept one from Fred.
“Why should I trust your opinion?” you glanced back up at him, a blank look on your face.
“Because,” he replied, grabbing another one for himself, “I know my stuff.”
You glared at him before walking away, the chocolate frog still in your hand. You couldn’t reach up to put it back and there was no way in hell you’d ask Fred for help. So, to keep your pride, you’d just buy it.
“I’m just taking this,” you finally arrived at the cash, placing the single chocolate frog down in front of the young cashier.
“And this one,” Fred was somehow still behind you, placing his own chocolate frog down next to yours, “On me.”
“Oh, charming,” you sassed, turning to face him with your arms crossed, “I can afford it myself, you know. I don’t need your help.”
Fred grinned at you as he removed his wallet from his back pocket, paying for the two chocolate frogs, “I know you don’t. I’m just being sweet.”
You ignored the wink he gave you, grabbing your chocolate frog off of the counter and placing it in your coat pocket. The cold outdoor air would prevent it from melting, so you figured it was safe there.
“Well, stop being sweet,” you smiled sarcastically, re-adjusting your scarf and beginning to walk away from him. You heard him call your name, but luckily for you, Ginny and Megan found you before he could. They both had a bag each — how they had managed to each buy their own stash of candies in the short amount of time you had found one chocolate frog, you’ll never know.
“Ready to go, ladies?” Megan asked, grabbing a lolly out of her bag and unwrapping it, sticking it into her mouth as she led the three of you back into the fresh November air.
You sighed as you stepped outside, shoving your hand into your pocket, feeling the chocolate frog box sitting there. You absentmindedly fiddled with it, not even noticing you were doing so.
This would make a lovely midnight snack.
——
You know that saying; when you have a romantic dream about someone, you can’t see them the same way anymore?
Well, you usually didn’t believe that. You thought people just got too attached to their subconscious and wanted to feel things that weren’t there.
You especially didn’t want to believe it when you woke up that morning, last night’s dream crystal clear in your head. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it were with anyone else — the idea of cuddling and kissing any other person on the planet would have been fine.
But no, no. Your dream decided to pair you up with the one person you didn’t want.
Fred goddamn Weasley.
It was probably only because you ate the chocolate frog he bought you. So, due to that, he was in your mind. That’s the only reasonable explanation. There was no other reason for such a dream to occur.
You hopped of bed, shaking your head every few minutes to rid yourself of the disgusting images from your head, and rushed down to the Great Hall for an early breakfast, Ginny and Megan still sound asleep in their four poster beds. They’d never find out you just dreamt of yourself in a relationship with Ginny’s older brother. They’d never let you live it down.
The Great Hall was silent as you walked in, the candles lit and the tables rather empty. You spotted a few familiar faces at the Gryffindor table, but chose you’d prefer to sit alone and stew in solemn silence.
Why had your mind decided to pair you up with Fred? Why?
As if the Devil himself was playing a game, Fred, George and Lee made their appearance in the Hall doorway with loud laughter. You groaned, letting your hair fall into your face as you poured yourself a cup of tea, wishing more than anything that they wouldn’t spot you.
“Mornin’, Y/N!” Lee sat across from you, a big smile on his face. You couldn’t muster the same expression, your lips curved downwards into a scowl. Of course they’d come sit with you. Everyone else at the Gryffindor table was either a first or second year. Clearly, the universe was testing you.
“Hi, Lee,” you gave a forced smile, taking a sip of your tea and keeping your eyes away from the twins that sat on either side of him.
Although you were fine with George sitting across from you, you couldn’t bring yourself to face Fred. Whether it was due to your dislike of him or the fact that you just had a dream where you had been in love with him, you couldn’t tell. But your heartbeat was starting to quicken — and you were not liking it.
“Awfully silent this morning,” Fred smirked, resting his elbows on the table.
You stood up abruptly, gulping down the last bit of tea in your mug, “Maybe I just don’t want to talk to you.”
“Oh — you wound me,” he placed a hand over his heart, “Are you bothered by me?”
“Well, if you saw yourself how I saw you, could you blame me?” you scoffed, placing your hands on your hips, “My morning was going fine until I saw you. Time for me to leave.”
George and Lee snickered as Fred’s smile faltered, his eyes glued to you as you scurried quickly out of the Great Hall, wishing more than anything that Fred didn’t get you as huffed and flustered as he did.
Damn him.
You couldn’t stand him. Him and his bright hair. Him and his freckled cheeks. Him and his warm eyes.
Yep, the dream didn’t change anything.
——
You were rather glad the sunshine continued to peak throughout the day — especially as you walked down to the Quidditch pitch. Playing in rain and snow was fun, sure, but there was nothing like playing on a clear, fresh day.
“Glad the weather is nice,” Ginny said from next to you as if she were reading your mind, “Should make finding the Snitch easier.”
You grinned, “Always glad when the sun’s out.”
She chuckled and opened the tent flap, letting you head in before her. The rest of the team hadn’t arrived yet which you were thankful for. It would give you time to get changed and mentally prepare before the rowdiness began. You loved most of the team to bits, but they could be quite loud. Especially the one person on the team that you didn’t like.
You seized your Quidditch robes and promptly changed into them, stepping out of the private room and immediately slouching your shoulders.
Your peace and quiet hadn’t lasted long. Fred, George, Angelina, Alicia, Harry and Ginny were huddled together, laughing loudly as they each began to prepare for the game.
“Oh, Y/N, we’re going over today’s plan!” Angelina waved you over, motioning for you to join. You did as the captain said, standing close to Ginny and as far from the grinning twins as you could.
“Now, this one here,” Angelina pointed to a badly drawn diagram on a crumpled piece of parchment, “Is called Bollocks, and it’s when—,”
“Sorry,” George snickered, lifting his hand to cut her off, “You named a play Bollocks?”
“Problem?” Angelina placed her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow, challenging him, “It was one of Wood’s old plays and might I add, it always worked brilliantly.”
You rolled your eyes at the immature reaction from the twins, wishing they’d pipe down so you could actually focus.
Fred was next to speak, “Course it was Ollie. Lad always had such wonderful names for everything.”
“Excuse me,” you found yourself speaking up, not even sure where your voice came from, “Can you stop being immature for three seconds so we can listen to Angie and maybe win this game?”
Narrowing his eyes at you, Fred scoffed, “And what exactly is it that’s set you off today? Always something, isn’t there?”
You blinked rapidly, “What?”
“You’ve always got something to say,” he continued, “Bit annoying, really.”
The tent was silent, the team stepping back slightly as if trying to avoid being caught in the crossfire. You felt your blood being to boil. Fred had never actually snapped back at you before — and for some reason, you genuinely disliked it.
“I—” your voice trailed off as you realized you didn’t even know what to say. You almost felt bad. Which was rare. You never really felt bad for telling Fred off. He usually always deserved it. Why did you feel that way this time?
“Anyways,” Angelina took her place once more, trying to cut a knife through the palpable awkwardness that was now floating around the tent.
You were still looking at Fred, who was now facing away, his jaw clenched and his cheeks flushed. Never had you seen him this put off.
Angelina continued to explain the game plan, but you were too consumed with unwanted guilt to pay attention to every word. Why had this argument left you with such a bitter feeling? You weren’t normally left feeling sour after any sort of encounter with Fred. Was it because he actually looked upset? Was it because you felt bad? Did it have anything to do with your stupid dream?
No, no. Can’t be the dream. It was just a dream.
She finished up her speech and you took your place behind Alicia, grabbing your broom and ready to make an entrance onto the pitch. But, after your standoff with Fred, all excitement that you previously had was gone. If anything, you would much rather run back to the castle and hide away in your dorm room right about now.
“You alright?” Ginny leaned over, “He’s not actually mad, y’know? Just loses his temper sometimes.”
“I feel bad,” you whispered back, your grip on the broom tightening, “I’ll apologize later.”
Ginny smiled at you, not able to say much more as the lot of you walked out onto the field and came face to face with your opponent. The loud cheers from the crowd helped lift your spirits slightly, but you couldn’t help sneaking another peak at Fred. He was laughing at something Angelina had said, all traces of his previous anger gone.
Maybe Ginny was right, perhaps he wasn’t angry. You felt you needed to apologize anyways, but hopefully it would be forgotten and things could just go back to normal. Whatever normal was.
The whistle blew to signal the beginning of the match, causing you to kick off the ground and take off, ready to bring to life your game plan with your fellow Chasers. You pushed past your bad feelings and focused solely on the match ahead, causing Gryffindor to take an early lead.
Ten minutes in and you were up thirty to zero, two of those goals scored by yours truly. You celebrated both with the rest of the team team, noticing, however, how Fred didn’t come to join both times. He seemed rather thrilled when Alicia scored, though.
Why was this bothering you?
You shook your head and continued the game. Another ten minutes in and Angelina put another one in, leaving you guys up forty to nothing.
You were ready to execute another play — Bollocks, specifically — when you heard your name being shouted.
“Look out!” Ginny’s eyes were wide as she called out to you.
You gave her a puzzled look, ready to turn around and see what she was pointing at, but you didn’t have the chance to do so.
The Bludger knocked into your arm, causing you to completely lose balance and topple off of your broom. Unbearable pain spread throughout your body, the point of contact on your arm throbbing violently as the world around you spun out of focus. The entire audience gasped as you began to plummet towards the ground.
Sixty feet? Seventy, maybe?
You could hear people shouting your name but you couldn’t open your eyes, bracing yourself for impact. Your head felt heavy, your heart skipping beats.
You tried to squint your eyes open, but all you could see was the blue of the sky and something orange and red flash by.
That was the last thing you saw before your vision went dark.
——
The Hospital Wing at night was usually deserted. The moonlight would shine through the windows onto the empty beds and Madam Pomfrey would retire to her room early. But not tonight.
Tonight, they were all gathered around you.
“Are you sure you feel okay?” Megan asked, seated by your side and holding your hand tightly in hers, “It was really scary to see you fall.”
“I’m fine, Meg,” you replied with a low chuckle, your voice coarse from having been asleep — or passed out — for a few hours, “I don’t even remember hitting the ground.”
“That’s because you didn’t hit the ground,” Ginny sat down on the other side of the bed, arms crossed and a light smirk on her lips, “You got saved before you made impact.” She looked tired, but you were incredibly glad she was here.
“She’s right,” Megan piped up, now wearing the same smirk, “Madam Pomfrey say you passed out due to the Bludger impact and the speed in which you feel. Hitting the ground had nothing to do with it because you didn’t hit the ground.”
You looked between the two, your eyebrows furrowed and your mind not fully wrapping around their words. You had to have hit the ground, right?
“How did I not hit the ground?” you coughed slightly as you spoke, reaching over to the small table next to you and grabbing your glass of water, taking a small sip to hopefully soothe your throat.
“Fred caught you,” Ginny replied tentatively.
You spat the water back out, spraying the bedspread and probably Megan and Ginny’s faces as well, “I’m sorry — what?”
Megan answered, wiping at her eye, “Yep. He caught you right as you passed out.”
You stated at them, your eyes feeling as if they were as wide as saucers. There was no way Fred saved you, was there? Was he the flash of red and orange you had seen?
“Why’d he do that?” you asked with interest, placing your glass of water back down to avoid spraying anyone else with your shocked spitting.
Ginny was about to speak, but the doors to the Hospital Wing opened and she muttered a sly, “Ask him yourself.”
You looked over, and sure enough, Fred was walking in. Accompanied by the rest of the team, yes, but your eyes went to him and only him. Clearly, he could sense your stare, as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck once arriving at the foot of your bed.
“You caught me?” you asked, ignoring whatever it was that Angelina had just asked you.
Fred’s cheeks turned a light shade of pink and he shrugged, “Yeah. But it’s not a big deal.”
Angelina pursed her lips from next to you, rolling back and forth on the balls of her feet. The group all shared a look and decided to leave the two of you be, slowly slipping out of the Hospital Wing.
You noticed, yes, but were too busy saying, “Thank you.”
Fred cupped his ear and leaned forwards, a hint of a smirk on his lips as all traces of awkwardness seemed to dissipate, “Sorry, did you just thank me? Blimey, must be the end of times.”
You shot him a look, rolling your eyes and dropping your head back down onto the pillow, “Just accept my thanking and be on your way.”
“I actually brought you something,” he lifted his finger, reaching into the tiny pocket on his chest, pulling out a boxed chocolate frog, “Here. For you.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, crossing your arms, “I don’t trust it. It’s coming from you.”
“I promise, I didn’t do anything to it. And the other one I gave you was fine, wasn’t it?” he smiled, walking over to the side of the bed to sit on the chair, still holding out the small box. His smile was genuine — but he still had a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Fine,” you snatched it from him, “I’ll trust you just this once. Because I’m hungry..”
“I got it from Honeydukes yesterday,” he said, leaning back in the chair and lifting his legs, resting his feet atop your bed. You glared at them as you popped the chocolate into your mouth, letting the sweetness soothe you.
“See?” he smirked, raising an eyebrow, “You can trust me.”
You looked over at him, taking in his relaxed, causal state and the bright look in his eyes. You had always seen him looking as if he were hiding a dragon in his trousers — you couldn’t remember a time you’d seen him so casual.
His red striped shirt brought out the warm colours on his face. He looked effortlessly charming. It was annoying, really.
“I guess I can,” you smiled back, no hint of hostility in your voice, “Thank you.”
He took his feet off of your bed and pretended to bow, “You are infinitely welcome.” You chuckled, shaking your head and turning away from him, continuing to suck on the candy. It was changing flavours the longer it was in your mouth; it was beginning to taste like lemon.
“I can bring you some more tomorrow,” he grinned, standing up and shoving his hands into his pockets, “I need to meet up with George. Do you have a candy preference?”
You blinked up at him, “You’re coming back tomorrow?”
He shrugged before nodding, “Might as well. Gotta come see my favorite grouch.”
“Oh, shove off,” you scoffed, dropping your head. For some reason, him saying he was coming to see you tomorrow sent your heart into a jolt. You tried your best to brush it off, but as you glanced back up at him, the same thing happened. You suddenly felt awfully giddy.
“What kind of candy do you like?” he asked again, giving you a more serious look, “It’s the least I could do for not knocking the Bludger fast enough.”
You placed a finger to your chin and tapped, pondering over his question, “I like chocolate. But you already know that.”
He nodded curtly, taking a dramatic bow, “Chocolate it is.” You couldn’t hold back a laugh, covering your mouth and tossing your head back. Fred chuckled too, beginning to make his way towards the door.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, then,” he gave you a little wave, “Goodnight.”
“Goodnight, you git,” you replied with a grin, laughing slightly as you watched his lips curve upwards before he stepped outside of the Hospital Wing, closing the door quietly behind him.
Your smile fell as he left, bringing up the blanket to wrap around you, suddenly very aware of how alone you were in the room. Apart from Madam Pomfrey — who was reading a rather large book on the other side of the room. The silence was unnerving and you decided to just sleep it off.
You shut your eyes and let yourself fall into a deep, deep sleep.
——
“You’re joking!” you said through a mouthful of chocolate, your eyes wide.
“Nope,” Fred grinned, “Not joking.”
“How could you do that? You traumatized poor Ron for life,” you said, finally swallowing the chocolate in your mouth so you could breathe through your laughter.
Fred shrugged, “He deserved it.”
You shot him a look, “He was six. I hardly believe he deserved it.” Popping another bit of chocolate frog into your mouth, you raised your eyebrows as if challenging him.
He let out a low chuckle before taking a bite of his own chocolate frog. True to his word, Fred had shown up that evening with a bag of Honeyduke’s sweets, splitting them into piles between the two of you. Madam Pomfrey was not exactly overjoyed by his appearance — considering his appearance came with noise and food — but she told him he was allowed in for two hours.
You were being discharged tomorrow, anyways. There was no use moping and sulking about with only one day left here. Classes would resume and things would go back to normal.
“You have chocolate on your nose,” he pointed to his own nose as he spoke. You flushed, quickly raising your hand to try and wipe it off.
“You missed,” he smirked, sitting up and leaning forwards, reaching his hand out to touch your nose. As he made contact, you cheeks became incredibly warm. You tried your best to brush it off, but as you looked up into his warm eyes, you couldn’t help it. He was gazing down at you, fingers trailing from your nose down to your jaw before he retracted his hand.
You let out a small cough, purposefully ruining the moment, “What are you looking at?”
“Sorry,” he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck, “It’s just — do you have to be so painfully beautiful?”
Although you were neither eating, nor drinking, you felt yourself choking on air. You averted your eyes away from him, looking at the ground for a good moment as your head wrapped around what he just said.
“Right,” you scoffed, cheeks burning, “I think you’re the one who hit your head.”
He let out an awkward chuckle as he leaned back in his chair, “Deny the compliment all you want. Doesn’t make it any less true, y’know.”
Why was Fred making you feel like this? Obnoxious, loud, arrogant, cocky Fred Weasley. Cute, charming, funny — no.
You couldn’t think of him that way. You had practically sworn to yourself that you’d never end up liking him. You couldn’t just change your morals now. Who does that?
“Thanks,” you muttered, fidgeting with your fingers under the blanket. You didn’t know what to say, you could barely muster the word ‘thanks’ in the first place.
It was odd. Just yesterday, you had snapped at him for being childish. For making a joke. But now, only a day later, you were here. Fighting back a grin and a blush at his compliment as he smirked over, clearly pleased by your reaction as he bit into another sweet.
Considering Fred hadn’t seemed to be your biggest fan either, you wondered why he suddenly felt open enough, confident enough, to compliment you so casually. What had changed? Why were the two of you so relaxed around each other?
Too swarmed with your own confusing thoughts, you hadn’t even noticed the two hours fly by. Fred left not long after, a smile on his face as he left his pile of candies behind for you.
Candies. That’s what was to blame. The sugar. That’s why your heart was violently beating against your ribcage, why your mind was fuzzy, why you had the urge to ask Fred to stay.
The candies were to blame. That’s the only reasonable explanation.
It had to be the candies.
——
The next few days went by in a blur. You were feeling back to normal, which you were awfully thankful for. Madam Pomfrey had fixed you up in a jiffy and sent you on you way after two days in the Wing being monitored closely under her watchful eye. She wasn’t impressed with how many chocolate frogs you had managed to eat, but she was glad you were healed and ready to take on the world again.
Ginny and Megan were glad to have you back — girls night just wasn’t the same without you, they said. And you were glad to see them again too. Although it was only two nights away, you had missed their company.
However, as glad as you were to no longer be confined to your tiny single bed, you felt as if you were missing something. You knew deep down you were missing Fred’s presence —even though you tried to deny it to yourself. He had been nice company while you were being healed and you kind of wished you could get some more alone time with him.
You had seen him around, sure. He was always there during meals and you’d come across him in the common room. Each time he’d send a smile your way and if you were lucky, he’d strike up a quick conversation after asking how you were feeling.
As much as you hated to admit it, you found yourself looking for him when he wasn’t around. You found yourself looking over anytime someone entered the room, hoping it would be him. You’d scan the hallways looking for his bright red hair —
“Looking for me?” a voice snapped you out of your thoughts.
Rather ironic, you thought as you looked up into Fred’s eyes, his head peeking over yours as you sat down for dinner.
“You wish,” you scoffed, fighting a blush that would give away the fact that yes, indeed, you were thinking of him. He didn’t need to know that, though. Would only boost his huge ego and no one wanted that.
“I always wish that,” he smirked as he sat down to your right. Oh, how you wished Fred was a lot less charming than he was. Damn him.
You reached across and grabbed some food, piling it onto your plate without another word. You could feel Fred’s eyes staring at you, your whole body felt like it was burning under his eyes.
“Stop staring,” you turned to face him with your eyebrow raised.
“Sorry,” he raised his hands, “Hard not to.”
You wanted to retaliate, but your voice was lost under Lee and Ginny giggling across from you. When had they even come in? Were they here the whole time? And why wasn’t George with Fred?
“Young love,” Lee clasped his hands and sighed, looking over to Ginny, “When will these two realize their feelings, Ginerva?”
Ginny batted her eyelashes in an equally dramatic manner, “Oh, I don’t know, Lee. Maybe they just need a push.”
Both you and Fred were glaring daggers at them. You hoped the stare you were giving Ginny would cause her to drop the subject, but clearly, it only egged her on. She sent you a wink, laughing as un-subtly as possible.
“Oi, no one asked for the two of you to pipe in,” Fred shot a look at Lee, also hoping to silencing his friend, his cheeks tinted with pink.
You looked away from Ginny, picking at your plate, embarrassed by the obvious attempt to get you and Fred to talk. Would you two even be compatible?
Would the two of you be a good couple?
“I think we would,” Fred grinned, nudging you in the side.
You turned to face him, eyebrows furrowed, “We would what?”
“You asked if we would be a good couple,” his grin was taunting, his eyes brighter than you’d ever seen them.
“Did I — Melin, did I ask that aloud?” you asked, horrified and humiliated. There was no fighting the blush on your cheeks now. Oh, how you wished you could climb into a hole and completely disappear.
“You did,” Fred scooted closer to you, “And might I add, it was rather cute. We would make an excellent couple, Y/N. You already love telling me off.”
You didn’t know how to reply to that, completely and utterly shocked that your mouth had the audacity to voice your thoughts without your permission. Why? Why did this have to happen to you?
Fred, noticing that you weren’t going to speak, decided to take initiative, “Well, since that’s all in the open, would you like to accompany me to Hogsmeade next weekend? As a date.”
You looked up to him, the blush now gone as your face lost colour, completely caught off guard. Fred was blunt, yes, but you didn’t think he’d actually ask you out. You figured this weird thing going on between you two was just due both of you feeling guilty? Was this even real?
Did you ever think you’d want to go on a date with Fred Weasley? Bloody hell, no. But now, did you want to go on a date with him? Of course you did.
“I’d love to,” you replied quietly, not even sure you had said the words.
Fred’s beaming smile alerted you that he had heard you. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder and brought you close to him, but you were too starstruck by the idea of going on a date with him to retaliate.
He was warm, comforting, and you really did enjoy it.
“Go team,” Ginny grinned, fist-bumping an equally pleased looking Lee.
Fred leaned over with a wide smile and whispered in your ear, “Remember when you hated me?”
You scoffed, pulling away as a smile played at your lips, “Shove off, you git.”

I love how you wrote the s/o who struggles to stand up for herself 🥺 it was really good! I thought of something to build off of that if that’s alright with you. What if someone tried striking the pillar men’s very sweet and unconfrontational s/o? Maybe s/o did something as minor as accidentally bumping into someone. When they sheepishly try to apologize that person gets angry and tries to punch/slap s/o. Oh how I love protective pillar men 🥰
Thank you so much, Anon! 🥰😍❤ You're too sweet! It always makes my day to hear when someone likes my work! 😇😇😇
Oh boy, big protective Pillarmen? The absolute best kind of Pillarmen??? You got it, honey! 😘
Pillarmen (separate) protecting their non-confrontational s/o from being struck...
(Under the cut for length!)
Tumblr media
Kars:
• Admittedly, Kars wasn't very "confrontational" himself.
• In his own way, of course.
• He thought fighting with someone for no good reason (or any reason at all really) was as meaningless as it was laughable.
• If someone ever approached him and tried to initiate a violent confrontation by hurling insults at him or even going so far as to hit him; he would simply roll his eyes and walk away.
• He had much better things to do than stoop to some foolish Mortals level.
• You both were best described as "two sides of the same spectrum" seeing as how you had the tendency to go out of your way to avoid conflict with anyone.
"Oh! I-I'm so sorry!" You cried, stepping away from the large and scowling man who now bared an expression that was something borderline feral. His glare sent a knife straight through your heart, puncturing your lungs and leaving you gasping for air as anxiety washed over you.
You had been walking down the street, your shift had ended and you were heading to meet up with Kars at your usual meeting spot just around the corner. You had talked about going to go get something to eat or at least being Home to have tonight and you were focused on just getting there. The sooner you reached your Husband, the sooner you could go Home and put your feet up after a long work day.
Those plans suddenly got thrown out the window when a man rounded the corner the same time you had.
When you collided with him, it caused him to drop the iced-coffee he had been clutching in his hand; the majority of it even spilled on you, staining your workshirt and pants, and yet you were the only one apologizing here.
"You stupid BITCH!" The stranger snapped, advancing on you as he jabbed his finger angrily at the now empty plastic cup lying in the sad brown puddle pooling on the sidewalk. "I just got that! It cost me 5-fucking-dollars!"
You really were sorry! You really didn't mean to make him drop his coffee! Panic flooded your body and burned in you like a fire, the flames of it only fueled more by his loud voice, making your hands quiver as you instinctively reached for your wallet.
"Here! I'll pay for it!" You said quickly, trying to something, anything to placate the angry man before things got even more intense. "I'll-- I'll even pay for a new one!"
He, however, was all but pacified.
Your offer was cut short by the surly stranger full on grabbing you by the collar of your coffee stained shirt; you let out a strangled yelp as he hauled you far too close for comfort. You could feel his hot breath hitting your face and your stomach dropped, sinking like a stone going down to the depths of the Ocean upon seeing the unquenchable inferno shimmering in his narrowed eyes.
"Oh, you're gonna pay for that and a lot more, bitch." He snarled, drawing his hand way back.
Your eyes instinctively snapped shut as his free hand swung towards you, hard and fast your, your hands flying up on pure impulse alone in an attempt to shield you from the blow that was to come...
But it never came.
After too long of a moment, much longer than the hit should've taken, your eyes opened to find the mans large hand still poised in the air.
It was now gripped by a much larger one.
Kars' brow was knit together, his gaze sharp enough to draw blood as he scowled down at the offending man who still had a hand on you; his Wife. He had been waiting for you just around the corner. He had heard everything that had happened and had definitely seen more than enough.
His grip was so tight on the mans arm you could see circulation being cut off. Any tighter (that being; using his only half of his maximum strength) and he would without a doubt shatter the bone of the mans arm completely.
He was only holding back on doing so for your sake.
You were frightened enough as it was and Kars wanted to spare you any further horror by holding back on destroying this disgusting excuse of a lifeform... just for today.
"Let. Her. Go." His voice was low and fridged, the words slithering through the teeth that were clenched like a vice in his mouth.
There wasn't even a trace of anger to be found in the mans face anymore; like a slate wiped clean. His face had gone stark white and his eyes bulged in their sockets as he stared at the God before him; not unlike a deer staring into the headlights of a car coming 80km/hr toward it.
The car that would kill it in one singular, instantaneous hit.
The hand released from your collar, leaving behind a stretched imprint of his clenched fingers on the fabric. The very second you were released, the Pillarman hauled the stranger roughly into the air by his arm, his feet dangling over a foot above the pavement.
Kars' lips peeled back into a snarl, fangs glimmering like knives of ivory in the light. If looks could kill the man (who was now whimpering not unlike a kicked puppy) would be getting slaughtered.
"If you know what's good for you, Human. You will get out of my sight." Came the command, this time the man could now feel the hot breath of the seething Pillarman on his own face. "Now."
A shaky nod was the best the man could manage.
Without another word, Kars dropped him and the stranger practically hit the ground running. Taking off down the street as fast as his shaking legs could take him, stumbling as he nearly fell several times; the only thing preventing him from doing so was pure adrenaline.
You barely had a chance to blink, let alone process all that just happened, when Kars was on you.
The Pillarman pulled you into his embrace, uncaring that you were practically drenched in coffee and still quivering like a beached jellyfish. His eyes roamed your body, checking for any injuries he somehow missed; he let out a breath you hadn't realized he had been holding before his lips found the crown of your head, his arms tightening around you.
"Beloved, my beloved... he is gone now. Shh. Shh." He murmured into your hair. It was only then, when he swiped his calloused thumbs over your cheeks, you realized you were crying.
"Let's go home, dear one." He said after a long moment of simply holding you in his arms and shushing you, allowing you time to get your nerves somewhat under control. "I'll make dinner tonight and we'll see if we can do anything about that stain..."
Esidisi:
• Esidisi laughed in the face of conflict of all kinds.
• Really, fighting with someone with reason or not was just something funny to him because he knew his moves (by tongue and by combat) could not be matched.
• If someone tried to initiate a fight with him, he'd just chuckle and cock an eyebrow.
• If he was bored (which was most likely), he'd have the greatest time simply toying with them; laughing and grinning as they attempted to hurt him.
• Sometimes he'd even enjoy giving them a good scare by doing something with his powers.
• If not however, he'd simply scoff and walk right past them.
• Other than that, he actually tried to stay out of any sort of conflict when you were around; he didn't want you to be involved or hurt, of course.
It wasn't often you went out to a club but every so often you and Esidisi would take the time out of your busy life to get dressed up and go out for a few drinks and a dance together as a treat.
You left the ladies room with a smile, lipstick reapplied and your appearance straightened up a little. You looked around as you made your way through the scene, searching the crowded floor for your Husband to catch another dance or two with him before retiring Home for the night.
You stepped back in surprise when a man cut you off halfway across the room, a drink in hand and a tipsy smile pulling across his face.
"Hey there," he drawled, trying to be casual. "You're cute. You wanna dance?"
You smiled sadly; you had to admit, the gesture was kind of funny and sweet. Had you need single you probably would've agreed.
"Thank you, but I'll pass." Really, you had no interest in dancing with a stranger in a place like this when all of your dances were already happily taken by your one and only.
You were about to offer to buy him another drink or even just settle with just chatting with him for a while (a friend was always nice to find in these places) but the man didn't exactly appreciate your answer, despite the fact it had been polite and straightforward.
"Uh, excuse me?" He all but spat, his face souring into a frown. "Why not?"
You couldn't help but blink in surprise, taken aback at his sudden turn of character.
"Oh-- Uh... well, I'm here with--"
"Oh, that's bullshit!" He cried, cutting you off. "You just don't wanna dance with me!"
You grimaced, holding your hands up in a placating gesture as you backed away from him, trying to keep some distance between you two as he tried to close it by advancing.
The man continued to rant and rave, growling about how there was absolutely no reason for you to refuse him a dance and that he was a perfectly nice guy and a good dancer, not pacified in the slightest.
You were becoming aware of just how very drunk this man was and he was only getting increasingly angry with you by the second. Each time you sheepishly tried to explain yourself you were cut off and it only seemed to get him more and more riled up.
You REALLY didn't want to deal with this on a fun night out. Hell, you didn't like confrontations like this in general.
"Listen, I've gotta go--" You were cut off again, gasping as the drunk stranger grabbed you by the arm just as you started to shuffle away to try and merge in the crowd again to disappear from his sight and pretend this interaction never happened; his grip was rough and unrelenting.
The room was starting to spin; the lights, the music, the chatter was suddenly far too much, drowning you in a static of fear and confusion. The man was snarling something out at you but you couldn't hear it over all the kerfuffle.
Your vision hyperfocused on the bottle the man had in hand; lifting high over his head, swinging down in slow motion.
The bottle never hit its mark as it was suddenly plucked from the strangers grasp.
In a fraction of a second, the man was now grabbed by his free hand and spun around. You opened your eyes to find him in the grip of Esidisi, your one and only dance partner and Husband.
"Looking for a dance partner, are we?" He questioned the now gawking drunk.
Esidisi had been waiting for you where you had left him at the bar. Being as tall as he was he saw you leaving the restroom and decided to meet you halfway across the dance floor; however, he stopped short as he saw your little confrontation happening. After giving you a good once over to ensure you weren't hurt, thankfully you were just a little shaken, he inclined his head over to the bar for you to sit and calm down while he handled this situation.
The massive man full on grinned down at the drunk man in his grip, giving him a good spin around before pulling him in close. Just as he pressed him straight against his muscular body in an iron grip; the song shifted, hot and base blasted music blaring through the speakers of the club.
"In that case, you're in luck!" He chirped, chuckling at the strangers owlish expression. "I was just looking for a good dance partner myself and I happened to overhear you talking with my Wife."
The drunk man gulped, through his potent mixture of intoxication and fear he didn't miss the fact that Esidisi's grip tightened just the slightest bit more as he took care to emphasize on the word "Wife". The stranger let out a strangled yelp that went unheard by the rest of the dancing crowd as Esidisi strutted to the music, dragging him along. Any protests on your attackers part went ignored by Esidisi and fully unheard by anyone else over the intense beats ringing through the club.
Your Husband winked at you over his shoulder, bringing you some small sense of relief as you felt your fear start to slowly drop down from it's sky-high level and you made yourself comfortable on a stool to watch him and the drunk stranger.
If the man had wanted to dance so bad, bad enough to threaten you and try to inflict harm, Esidisi fully intended on giving him the dance he craved.
He was gonna dance with him until he dropped...
Wamuu:
• As any Warrior should be, Wamuu was indeed confrontational.
• However, his confrontation was only to an extent, per say.
• Like his Masters, he generally did his best to try and avoid conflict with a Mortal.
• If someone simply walked up to him and struck him he would simply stare down at them with a raised eyebrow, honestly amused.
• The hit would probably tickle the living giant rather than inflict pain on him.
• On the other hand, if that Mortal happened to cross a line verbally by deeply insulting him or plucking a nerve somehow, he was fully willing to duel them to the death.
• He was always willing to fight for you; regardless of the situation.
• He was basically your knight in shining armor for that reason.
Working a 12 hour shift was always exhausting to you. Sometimes you couldn't tell what was worse; having a busy day full of orders or having a slow day where you saw almost nobody at all and were bored out of your own mind.
Today had been pretty steady, having boughts of people between lonely hours and thankfully, you were just 10 minutes until closing now. Your eyes glanced up to the clock on the wall, silently pleading for it to go just a little faster so you could close up fully for the night. Wamuu would be here soon to walk Home with you, he usually stopped at the Gym to get a work out in and kill some time before coming bye. Your walks Home with your loving Husband were the best part of your day, sharing stories and talking as you strolled arm in arm down the street.
You hadn't seen another customer in the past 2 hours so any cleaning or chores that needed to be done before the night was over was already done. You briefly considered starting to count up the till now so you could just leave as soon as you closed but that plan was quickly shunt aside when the door to the shop flung open, the bell overhead jangling loudly, and in stepped a customer. You resisted the urge to sigh, there was almost always someone who came in at the last minute and wanted a sandwich.
However, you put on your best smile as the man who came in approached the counter.
The mans face was already in a knot, he had huffy air of "I'm in a H U R R Y" about him and that alone was enough to make sweat prickle on the back of your neck. These kinds of customers could be the absolute worst, even more so at closing, and you prayed he would order something easy so you could close up tonight without tears in your eyes from being yelled at again by someone.
"Good evening," you chimed, smoothing out your apron as you set your hands on the counter. "What can I get you?"
"One meatball sub, white cheese, on Italian." He told you rather shortly, drumming his fingers on his arm.
A lump swole in your throat as you turned your gaze to the very empty meatball tray sitting across the counter.
Oh boy, here we go...
You sucked in a deep breath, your smile unfaltering. "Oh, um--... I'm sorry but we're all out of meatball. Can I get--"
"Then make more." He said curtly, his finger drumming only increasing as he full on glared at you. He also made sure to visibly roll his eyes as if you had said something completely and utterly stupid.
"I'm sorry, that's not possible." You told him, trying not to let your voice go down to the squeak it wanted to. "We're closing in 5 minutes and cooking more up--"
"Ugh, I don't care!" He growled. "I don't have all night, just make it!"
You were starting to shiver as he got louder and louder, "Sir, we close at 7. I can't, it's against policy, I can only make more tomorrow morni--"
You jumped as the man suddenly lunged and a yelp managed to escape your lips when his hand gripped around the strap of your apron, pulling you roughly over the counter.
"Listen to me, you dumb CUNT," He snarled, his grip tightening hard enough you could hear threads snapping in your apron. "Make the damn sandwich so I can fucking go Home! I don't fucking care about your policy! I want my meatball sub!"
You were breathing hard, your throat squeezing shut as he growled lowly into your face. Never once had a customer gotten this violent with you, not even on a shift where you were with someone else. Everything was becoming consumed in static, your heartbeat in your ears as you floundered to find something, ANYTHING, to say to get him to let go.
"I-- I--..." it was the only thing that could come out of your mouth.
Unfortunately, it wasn't what this man wanted to hear and it only infuriated him further.
He was screaming at you now, screaming so loud you couldn't understand him, only making you start to cry as you stood helplessly in his unrelenting grasp.
Like lightning, the mans fist curled and swung your way.
He would've made a clear slug across your jaw if a much bigger fist hadn't clenched around it, stopping it mid-air.
You gasped as you were suddenly released, stumbling and catching yourself on the counter before you could fall to the tiled floor. You looked up in shock to find none other than Wamuu gripping your attacker with one huge fist by the front of his shirt, making the man dangle in the air.
"You seem to misunderstand what my beloved here was trying to explain to you." The Warrior growled, the veins in his neck pulsing as he glowered down at the man who's expression had now turned to one of terror. "Normally, I would overlook ill-mannered Humans such as yourself but you have made a very grave mistake tonight by, not only disrespecting, but touching my dear Bride."
The man opened his mouth to say something, probably to apologize or to tell the massive man he would leave and never come back but the words didn't so much as reach his tongue.
Wamuu flung him across the room, as effortlessly as one would swat away a buzzing fly, and the man crash landed into the tables in the corner; knocking them over like a bowling ball would pins.
"You have 3 seconds to get out before I throw you farther!" Wamuu snapped, taking one step towards the man laying in the entanglement of fallen chairs and tables.
The man clamored to his feet before Wamuu could come another step closer, somehow limping and running towards the door and out of the building.
As instantaneous as that fight, Wamuu was over the counter and kneeling by you, cupping your face in his hands. You were still crying, curled in on yourself where the man had grabbed you and shaking like a leaf in a bitter Fall wind.
"My dear sweet little one, shhh... shh.. it is alright." Your Husband crooned, pulling you into an embrace so gentle it seemed almost impossible coming from him after such a display.
You only cried harder, burying your face in his neck as all your nerves finally let loose. Wamuu held you in his arms for a good long while, he made sure to turn the closed sign however before anymore unwanted customers could come in for tonight.
He fully planned on speaking to your manager about this and your safety here from now on...
Santana:
• Santana wasn't confrontational unless given no other option.
• Chances were, if someone tried to pick a fight with him (whether by verbal abuse or physical violence) he would simply walk away, not interested in the slightest.
• It was almost as if they were invisible to him.
• If they tried to strike, he could just make their body phase right through his like nothing or his body would just go to rubber right around their limb.
• He was never really in the mood to fight with a primitive unless they TRULY annoyed him.
• More often when that happened they would be come dinner.
• But if someone tried to start a confrontation with you; he'd be the one to end it.
"Oh yes!" You breathed a sigh of relief when you grabbed a hold of the roast sitting all by itself on the refrigerated shelf, a small triumphant smile curling at the corners of your mouth.
You honestly feared they'd be fresh out, you were having some Family over this Holiday weekend and needed this for the dinner you planned on preparing for when they came. This time of year it was hard to get a hold of good stuff at the supermarket as shoppers tended to all share similar traditions and that meant they also shared similar meal ideals.
You couldn't be more lucky you got your hands on the last one, lest you'd have to drive to the other supermarket across town to continue your search and most likely be disappointed there too.
You had sent Santana off with the list and cart to grab the other stuff you needed while you headed for this important item first. Now all you had to do was track down your Husband and drop this into your little cart so you could be one step closer to going Home to prep.
With the roast in arm, you started off.
"Hey!"
Someone shouted from down the isle but you barely even paid attention to it, chances were someone was arguing with a worker or another customer (as things like that also had the tendency to happen this time of year); another reason you wanted nothing more than to get your groceries and get out of the store.
Watching two customers duke it out over food and menial things was probably as uncomfortable as being part of the fight... at least in your eyes anyways.
"Hey stop!"
Once again the sound of the shouting fell on deaf ears as you kept walking, about to round a corner into another isle on your sojourn for your mate. Santana was most likely somewhere around the frozen foods section, he had asked if he could pick out some icecream for the weekend earlier in the car.
You stopped short when somebody grabbed you harshly by your arm, yanking you hard enough to spin you around. You actually let out a yelp in surprise, your eyes snapping down to the well manicured nails that were digging into the flesh of your arm. Your gaze instinctively followed the hand all the way up the arm connected to it, until you found yourself meeting the intense glare of the woman grabbing you.
"I told you to stop!" She snarled, your owlish expression not hindering any of her obvious anger from spewing out. "You took the last roast!"
She pointed accusingly at the hunk of wrapped meat cradled in your other arm with a long manicured nail.
You blinked, a brief sweat was starting to form underneath your clothing as your skin burned hot, crawling under the woman's hand; you wanted her off of you but she wouldn't let go.
"I-- Well, yes there was only one left--" you began, trying your best to explain yourself (let alone get a grip on your spiking nerves) only to be cut off.
"Well, I need it!" The woman tried to reach for it but you pulled away, only to be pulled back by her; nails pinching your skin like needles. "Give it to me right now! I need it more than you do!"
You tried to yank your arm from her grasp but she gripped you tight enough to make you cry out. There were so many things you wanted to say but couldn't as they just got jumbled in your squeezing throat; you had saw it first, you needed it too for a special dinner, there were plenty of other places she could go to find one.
You really didn't want to quarrel with this crazy stranger over something as stupid as a piece of raw food, in a supermarket of all places.
"Let go!" You plead, not even caring about the roast or your weekend dinner plans anymore. You just wanted her to leave you alone!
One of her hands raised, fingers curling as she swung it down with the intention of clawing you right across your face... but her nails didn't find skin this time.
The woman gasped as her own arm was grabbed, the shock of it made her release you from her grip, and in one good tug she was pulled straight away from you.
Her gaze followed the huge, ivory skinned hand that dwarfed her arm, following it until her eyes met two sapphires burning holes into her from underneath thick crimson eyebrows.
Santana huffed through his nose, "Do not touch my mate, primitive." He commanded quietly, an order not to be ignored, however the surly woman wasn't done yet.
As quickly as it was lost, the scowl returned to her face and it was now directed onto Santana the youngest of the Pillarmen; not only was he your Husband, he was the wrong person to pick a fight with.
"Just what do you think you're doing?!" She fumed, getting right in his face rather than making the more wise decision and backing down. "Let go of me!"
Santana stared at her, not fazed in the slightest as she began to full on rant on about how it was wrong for him to grab her and that she would report him for assault (as if she hadn't just been violently assaulting someone herself) and she of course went the extra mile to add that her Husband was someone very important and he would be arrested.
It only made her angry all the more as the Pillarman just stood there, quiet, the very definition of disinterest etched into the features of his face. He honestly didn't care about her ramblings as there was no petty threat she could possibly make that would scare him away.
Her free hand lifted again and it swung with the intention of slapping him right across his face.
As soon as skin was supposed to meet skin, skin passed right through skin.
Now, the woman's angry demeanor crumbled for good, staring in horror as her hand simply went right through his face. Her hand was implanted right in his cheek, literally melded inside of his head, only the tips of her long nails were visible from the back of Santana's neck. She was stuck there, trying to pull herself out of him, the terror gripping her heart was the only thing keeping her from screaming to high heaven.
Santana never once said or did anything as she did, watching as he pulled and pulled to no avail.
Her whimpers slowly built up to full on cries of fear, Santana fully intended on making her feel the same thing you had just gone through with her. It was only until she was begging for him to release her hand from his body did he finally relent.
The minute her hand was freed from his face she stumbled back, almost falling and clutching her wrist as she fled from the isle and the supermarket itself; no longer caring about the product she tried to rip from you.
Santana merely exhaled, watching her go with a notable twinkle in one of his eyes before turning his attention to you. You were still pretty shaken up, thankfully you hadn't dropped the roast but you were nursing the arm where she had grabbed you and the imprints of her nails in your skin she had left behind. Wordlessly, he walked up and pressed a soft kiss to the cheek that woman had almost scratched as he took the roast from you, putting it in the cart right next to the tub of ice cream.
"They have been dealt with," he said, his deep voice sending vibrations through your whole body as he pressed you close to him, wrapping his arms around you in a hug. "I will never allow anyone to harm you, my heart."

A Seed That Blossoms
Tumblr media
fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen/Gojou
pairing: Gojou x Reader
word count: 2049 words
a/n: this is based on the blackout scene from In The Heights that’s been going around on tiktok! it’s a bit of a drabble w/ some fluff - please enjoy mwah!
»» — —  —   —  ♡— — — — ««  ♡  »»— — — —  —  — ♡ — — —  — ««
You and Gojo have had this unspoken tension between you for a while now. Despite your adamant denial time and time again to Nobara and Yuuji, there’s a small part of you that wonders what would happen if you indulge him just a little bit. This small seed grew into a larger impulse you couldn’t deny any longer and decided to give him a chance. Just one night, with no strings attached.
You peer over at the sun as the pink sunset dances across your empty classroom at Tokyo Jujutsu High. The day was ending and you were lucky to be just about finished with your duties when you felt a pair of familiar eyes drill themselves into the back of your head. Without even turning around you said, “Are you gonna say hi or you just gonna stand there and block my doorway?”
He walks over with a smirk plastered across his face before leaning against one of the desks. “Well, hello to you too, sunshine.”
You roll your eyes at the usual stupid lines he would throw your way. On a normal day, you would let these slide because you weren’t all that interested. But that seed blossomed, took root, and is still demanding to be nourished. You took a pause and looked up at him from your desk. He was readily waiting for your snippy quip to his advances toward you.
You knew him for a player, the type of guy who thinks more with the thing between his legs. But you ignored the warning signs flashing in your mind when you flash him a small smile and ask him out.
“What are you doing for the rest of the night, Satoru?”
His eyes seemed to flash a bit of confusion at the strange turn of dynamic. You were rarely interested at anything he had to say, let alone ever entertaining his stupid pick-up lines. He bit the bait anyways. “Hoping it would be you, but I’d like to hear what you have in mind.”
You chuckled softly and replied, “Maybe if you’re lucky. Let’s see if you’re as invincible as you claim to be. Meet me at my place tonight at 8:30 and we’ll go dancing at the spring festival. Don’t make me regret giving you a chance.”
You walk away leaving the most powerful sorcerer feeling a bit confused but excited for the new possible endeavor.
Staring at yourself in the mirror, you fix your hair and check that you have everything you need for the night. Cellphone, check. Wallet, check. Keys, Check. Glancing at your phone, you notice a text from Gojo indicating that he was outside. He’s leaning against the hood of his car, wearing a white button up with a few buttons open, tucked into dress pants that fit him all in the right places, and his signature rectangular resting low on his nose bridge.
You think to yourself, well, crap, he does clean up nice. Guess the people he hooks up with aren’t as blind as I thought they were.
He immediately scans your figure and smiles, “Wow, well, aren’t you a sight to see. Hope the night works in my favor and I’ll be touching you too.”
You felt your blood rush to your cheeks as you smooth out your outfit to regain your senses. You walked toward the passenger side door and slid into the leather seat. The entire car smelled of his cologne. The engine revs and you both ride off to the party. The city lights a kaleidoscope across the dashboard and onto his side profile. You keep adjusting in your seat to distract yourself from the knot building in your abdomen. You knock it up to general nerves from a new environment and try to release the excess energy by fidgeting every so often. You feel a large, calloused hand on your knee and freeze.
Gojo glances over with slight concern, “You good? You’ve never been on a date with someone as hot as me?” His usual banter calms you down and reminds you that it’s just Satoru, you’ve known him for a while and this shouldn’t change much. It’s just a night of dancing. You feel the car slow down and pull into the lot. Gojo opens the passenger door and leads you by the arm into the plaza. You’re greeted by the glow of lanterns strung through the outdoor plaza, the smell of various cocktails and food wafting through the air, the pounding of the bass echoes in your ears and can be felt in your feet, sending rivers of your nerves into excitement.
He pulls you to the bar and buys you both drinks to start the night out. He turns toward you with his sky blue eyes, drink in one hand and leaning his cheek on the other. “So, what was the turning point? What made you give somebody SO detestable a chance darling?”
The pet name sends a rush of blood through you and you ask for another drink to counteract the feeling. You turn and meet his eyes once more, “You know, I’m just gonna outright say it.  Although you can be detestable, you always flirt with me and I wanted to see if you got more than just a pretty face.” You throw a few more shots back and feel the former butterflies slip away, just enough to gather the courage to enjoy the party.
While he watches you transform into someone far more outgoing from the liquid courage slipping past your lips, his eyes stare longer at them. Even if he hasn’t outright admitted it, you were the constant in his life that gave him a sense of normalcy. No matter how many people he wakes up next to in the morning, he always wondered what it would be like to wake up next to you or learn about you beyond the boundaries of banter and curses. As arrogant as he can be, the one thing he doesn’t want to sacrifice is the dynamic you have going on with him. He wouldn’t let his feelings ruin that if you didn’t want it to. This is a chance that can bring your relationship with him to a new level - one step forward or ten steps back.
Before he could get a word in, another person offered to dance with you. You glance over at Gojo knowingly ready to reject them if he just said the word. But he didn’t. He nods, gesturing for you to continue, and you try to hide the slight disappointment behind your eyes. You wonder if it was worth inviting him out at all without even knowing if he wanted to go on a date with you. He could’ve just been flirting with you for shits and giggles.
Gojo watches with a clenched jaw as you bounce from one person’s arms to the next. Time passes and you glance every so often to see what he was doing, wondering why he hasn’t pulled you and asked you to dance yet. Your hope for him to make a move dwindles and you feel it wither as each second passes. You feel your eyes drill into him as another person approaches him and grazes their hand across his, leaning into his ear to whisper something. He laughs. The loud music, the breaths of the stranger on your neck mixed with the smell of alcohol fills your nose but nothing defeats the angry drumming of your heartbeat in your ears.
You should’ve known he wasn’t here for you. You walk over with the firm resolve to nip this feeling before it grows even deeper roots and hurts you more. “I was just another score huh? You abandoned me. Gojo, you barely even danced with me.”
His face distorts into irritation as he feels the pent up frustration bubble over, “Don’t make me laugh, I’ve been trying all night. You been shaking your ass for like half of the town.”
It’s as if the whole room deadened to a halt as he spits out the words, placing the blame on you. Every one of your senses grow overwhelmed and all you can taste on your tongue is absolute bitterness. He never saw the way you longingly looked at him, all it took was a word and he never spoke up. That was his decision and it isn’t your fault. You retort, “Trying? You didn’t even approach me on the dance floor. I felt everyone’s hands on my waist except the one pair I was hoping would. Instead you were busy swapping spit with what seems like anyone that was willing to.”
Shame continues to flood Gojo and pushes him into an inexplicable frustration, the flood gates opened at this point and wouldn’t stop. “That’s all you expect from me and never see me as anything other than a wandering, empty shell of a man into different people’s beds right? So why should I try to prove myself as anything other than that? I can have a normal conversation with somebody but to you it looks like I’m working for my next bed frame.”
Offense bubbles in your chest as you feel your voice begin to shake, “Why would I expect anything different when that’s all you’ve ever shown me tonight. I gave you a chance and you did what you usually do. With somebody else, again. And don’t ever shame me for dancing with other people, you don’t own me Goj-”
Before you can finish, you feel his hand squish your cheeks, preventing you from speaking. “You know that’s not my name sweetheart. I don’t want to hear you call me by anything other than my first name. You’ll never be distant enough from me that I’ll allow you to call me that.” Your eyes meet his and pull his hand away from your face as he seems to tower over you this time.
You stare at each other for what seemed like forever as a mix of shock and sentiment swirl in your mind, “Forget it Satoru. Good thing we established that we wouldn’t ever work. I’m just gonna find my own way home, you don’t have to worry about me. Have fun.”
He grabs your wrist, “Give me a chance again. Please.” You try to rip your hand out of his grip but it was impossible. Tears sting and threaten to spill from your eyes as you look back and expect a smug look of victory. Instead you were met with a gaze that spelled absolute defeat. Your expression softened slightly and sighed, giving him a nod. He pulls you away from the crowd back through the exit only lit by the obnoxiously red neon sign above the two of you.
His thumb gently swipes across your cheek urging you to look up at him. His voice softly responds, “You were doing your own thing and I wanted to try and distract myself from what I was feeling.” His hand moves from your face and he runs it through his hair trying to find the words. You reach for his hand and cradle it in your own, “What feeling Satoru?”
He slips his hand away and decides it’s time to come clean, “I was afraid that if I made a move you didn’t like, it would push you away. I don’t really care for a lot of people, but I do for you and I didn’t want to deal with losing a best friend. I’ve dealt with that shit before and I don’t want to make the same mistakes again.”
Your heartbeat finally stills and you feel the stupid seed blossom again, leaving you in a feeling of vulnerability. “Are you trying to pull the sap card to get into my pants or are you being real right now?” He smiles exasperatedly and replies, “I’m being really genuine right now. If I JUST wanted to get into your pants, I would’ve done it FOREVER ago.”
You gesture him to come closer to your face, he obliges and leans into you about a breath away from your nose. You fill the space between you both and press a gentle kiss to his lips with a small smile. “Hm, guess that makes two of us.”

Sunny’s masterlist
“J-Hope helps Sunny with her new studio”
a/n: Feel free to share your thoughts with me. Requests are open! 💜
Tumblr media
Namjoon entered his studio and sighed at the image of Sunny still working on his computer. Setting his phone and wallet on the couch, he stood behind her and lifted one side of her headphones to indicate his presence.
“You know, we upgraded you to a big studio to prevent this from happening” The leader spoke watching her speed-save everything she was doing in her computer before unplugging it from his set up. “Does the room have something wrong with it that makes it hard to work there?”
“No, but remember that you all judged me for not decorating the place?” Sunny asked gatting up from his chair and he nodded sitting down “Well, I ordered a bunch of stuff for it and it arrived sooner than I thought it was going to”
“Oh, that’s fine. Just figure everything out and then go back to whatever you’re working on”
“Yeah, that’s the thing. I saw all those boxes on the floor and just kind of freaked out, grabbed my stuff and came here where everything is neatly organized” The girl smiled hugging the laptop closer to her chest. “I talked with Yoongi for him to put together a couple of cabinets later, so after that, I’ll decide on what to do next”
“Talk with Hoseok, he’s not doing anything right now so he’ll help with organizing the rest. That way you don’t have to be jumping from place to place trying to find somewhere calm” Agreeing with him, Sunny walked away from his studio and made her way to Hobi’s.
She enjoyed organizing and, on some occasions, it was kind of fun putting things back in their place and seeing the final product. But that morning, when she opened the room to find it filled with boxes, the girl instantly backtracked and went off to find someplace else to do her work on.
Turning around the corner, Sunny bumped into J-hope who was, coincidently, going to the place she had just left.
“Hey, I was looking for you,” He said wrapping an arm over her shoulder “Just passed by your studio and saw you weren’t there. By the way, what are those boxes for?”
“Yeah about that…” Sunny laughed embarrassed “I might need you to help me decorate the place”
“Oh sure, sounds fun,” He said excitedly. Though thirty minutes later, after they had unboxed everything and set it on the floor he did not think it was fun “Sunny-ah” The boy lifted up a vintage phone confused “I’m not going to lie. I don’t see the bigger picture with all this stuff”
“Because there isn’t one” She itched one of her eyebrows and twisted her neck “I might have bought the first items I saw without picturing them together”
“Then you should probably return a lot of it” Hobi laughed getting up and looking at the space from the door. Other than the decorations on the floor, she had a basic studio station set up on the adjacent wall and a small couch on the other one, giving anyone who came inside a big blank wall “Maybe getting some shelves over there would make this easier”
“I bought some furniture stuff, it’s getting built later” She huffed getting up as well “There’s nothing for us to do, then?”
“I mean, there is. That frame would look good over there” He said pointing at a picture and then at the wall behind the couch “You know, does any of this inspire you? Because if none of it does then there’s no point keeping it around”
Sighing, Sunny looked around the floor and at the walls “I’m not sure”
“Then return it all and let’s go online look for something that does” Hoseok cheered clapping “Our job here is only starting, it’s going to be so much fun”
Later that day when Yoongi dropped by to put together the cabinet and coffee table she had gotten, she would have asked for somebody else to do it but he insisted he could, J-hope was laying on the couch and Sunny sat on the ground next to his head while scrolling down on her computer.
“Are you two having fun?” The older snorted opening a packet of screws and dropping them on the ground. Sunny hummed and closed her eyes, resting her head on a cushion “We just bought a set of minimalist paintings to go on that wall”
“It should look nice. Why are you two so defeated?”
“Because it took us the whole afternoon to buy them” Hobi groaned turning on his back and stretching “You know, for someone who’s doesn’t like cluttered spaces, Sunny is a lot of work”
“I’m sorry but I would get severely distracted if there’s a lot of stuff around me, and it would be insanely hard making sure they’re all in place” The girl went into a slightly higher pitch as she defended herself making Yoongi laugh and Hoseok scoff. The latter taking the computer from her and setting it on his lap as he browsed the stores they had opened.
After a moment of searching he stopped to ask her for opinions “If I get you a set of matching decoration pieces for you to put on that fancy bookshelf are you going to be satisfied enough or will we need to get something else for the couch wall”
“Do they match the frames of the drawings and the frames of the bookshelf?” Sunny asked back after a moment of thought and he confirmed “Then that should be fine. Though maybe we should take a look at cushions for the couch and a rug for the floor”
“Okay but which color since everything else is gold?”
“Maybe something pastel or beige” The girl mumbled making him laugh.
“I know I haven’t decorated many spaces before but this is the most boring one I’ve ever done”
“Hey, you said it should inspire me” Sunny turned to him with a raised eyebrow and Hobi pinched her cheek still mocking her.
“Yeah, but what inspires you definitely doesn’t motivate me”

fading under dying light

After a rough shift TK comes home to an empty condo and decides to go for a run to clear his head, to avoid being alone with his thoughts. But when he runs into trouble on his run it’s Carlos who comes home to find him, to save him. He just hopes he was fast enough, that he wasn’t too late to save the person that matters most. ------ Day 7 of Angst Week: Free Choice + “grabbed by the hair” for @badthingshappenbingo
--------
He hadn’t been able to save them.
Two brothers, 16 and 19, trapped in a car that had gone off an embankment and he hadn’t been able to save them. It didn’t matter that he had been able to go down to the vehicle without a problem, it didn’t matter that he and the fire crew had done everything they could. In the end, they were still gone. Two young lives ended far before their time; two fearful gazes that had held his own until the very end. He had seen the moment it had ended, he had been there still fighting against fate when their time ran out. He had been there for the moment that would shape a family’s new reality and he couldn’t get it out of his head.
So, when he had arrived home to an empty condo and Carlos still had another 2 hours left in his shift, he had decided to go for a run. It was better than sitting alone with his thoughts — anything was better than that.
So he found himself in the nearby park; the sound of his feet pounding against the pavement echoing through the cool night air was almost enough to drown out his thoughts. It was late and the park was nearly empty, which suited TK just fine. Being around people right now seemed unbearable. His crew - both fire and medical - had extended invitations, had offered to stay with him; to prevent him from being alone.  But being alone is what he needed right now. He needed this time to process, to sort through the thoughts swirling through his head.
He had done everything he possibly could have to save those boys, he knew that. He knew that he wasn’t at fault, that he was in no way to blame for what had happened. No one was. It had been an accident; a tragic, awful accident. But maybe that was the problem. Maybe it wasn’t so much that he hadn’t been able to save them as it was the grief and guilt in the older brother’s eyes as he told TK in a low voice that it was all his fault. That he had taken his eyes off the road for one second, and that single second had made all the difference. Maybe it was that though TK had tried to reassure him that mistakes happened and that it didn’t make him a bad person he was almost certain that the older boy — Danny — hadn’t believed him. That he had died thinking that it was his fault, that he had killed his brother.
Maybe it was the fact that TK had made so many mistakes of his own — mistakes far, far worse than looking away from the road — but he was still here and Danny and Ryan weren’t anymore. He had been given so many chances and they hadn’t even gotten one, and he couldn’t reconcile that idea in his mind.
He had been trying since it happened. He had even said as much to Paul and Marjan when they had checked in on him, when they had caught him in a vulnerable moment. But no amount of logic or reassurance could make this better, nothing could make it make sense. That wouldn’t stop him from trying, though.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he did not see the skateboard in his way until it was too late. His foot caught the edge of it and sent him crashing to the ground where he lay as pain blossomed from throughout his body. He groaned and was about to push himself up to assess the damage when he heard footsteps. He froze for a moment, trying to get a sense of how many there were when a fresh pain ripped through him as a hand reached into his hair and hauled him up. He hissed in pain as the hand tightened in his hair, pulling him up to his knees so he could see the figures surrounding him.
There were three of them and, as best TK could tell through his watering eyes, they looked young. No older than Danny.
“Hand over your wallet and no one needs to get hurt,” the one in front of him instructed and TK shook his head.
“I don’t have it on me,” he explained, “I don’t carry it when I run.”
“Why don’t I believe you?” the figure asked and TK shrugged the best he could.
“I don’t know, but it’s the truth.”
“Maybe we should just check to see,” the figure said to the companion standing beside him he nodded and lunged forward and TK felt a blinding flash of white-hot pain.
“I don’t have anything,” he gasped again, “all I have is my phone and airpods. You can take them, but that’s all I have.”
There were hands on him then and though TK tried to follow the movements it was hard when his head was a cloud of pain. It seemed like an eternity before a new voice spoke.
“It looks like he’s telling the truth, all I’ve got is his phone and airpods, like he said.”
The first figure shrugged and looked down at TK, “Then I guess that’s what we take. Let him go and let’s get out of here.”
The hand gripping his hair disappeared and TK sagged forward without it to hold him upright. He crumpled to the ground, instinctively curling in on himself to protect his wound and prevent any further pain. But the sound of retreating footsteps told him that there was no need, the danger was gone and he was on his own. He pulled himself off the ground and looked down, trying to locate the source of the white-hot pain burning through his abdomen.
He located a red spot, steadily consuming the gray of his shirt. He pulled up his shirt, hissing in pain as the material clung to his skin, to get a better look at the wound. It was a puncture wound, likely from some sort of blade, but it didn’t look too deep. He was only a few blocks from the condo, he could make it home and get a better look at it. Besides, they had taken his phone. He had no way to call for help. He was on his own.
He pulled himself off of the ground gingerly, swaying for a moment on his feet before he found his balance. He took a deep breath and headed in the direction of his home, keeping a hand carefully pressed against the wound all the while. It wasn’t a far walk but he was moving more slowly than usual and though he had no way of knowing how long it had been, he was certain it was longer than the usual 8 minutes it took to walk to the park.
He let himself in; thankful they hadn’t thought to take his keys, at least, before heading up the stairs towards the bathroom. He had to pause in the middle, gripping the railing tightly as a wave of dizziness washed over him, nearly toppling him on the stairs. He waited for it to pass before pulling himself up the last few stairs and entering the bathroom. He flipped on the light and was taken aback by the sight of his own reflection in the mirror.
He was far paler than he should be and the bloodstain had grown to show beyond the hand covering the wound. He lifted his hand to see that the blood was now dripping at an alarming rate. Maybe it was deeper than he thought after all.
He stepped closer to the counter, reaching for the medicine cabinet. If he could at least get it bandaged, if he could put some better pressure on it he should be able to buy himself some more time. He just needed enough time to figure out how to call for help without his phone. Or for Carlos to get home. TK had no idea how long had passed since he had set out for his run but he was sure that it had been nearly two hours; Carlos should be home soon. It would be okay. He just needed to handle it until then.
He managed to pry open the medicine cabinet and fumble through it, hand landing on the first aid kit they stored there. He tried to tighten his grip on it, to pull it out, but his body wasn’t responding to him. Hypovolemic shock his mind provided, far too late to do anything about it. He had lost too much blood; his body was starting to shut down to preserve itself. He tried to grab the first aid kit again, but he knew it wouldn’t do any good. There was nothing in there that could help him now.
He got one last look at his reflection in the mirror — skin pale and face shining with sweat despite the fact that he could feel shivers racing through his body — before darkness began to encroach on his vision. He tried to tighten his grip on the wound, to put as much pressure on it as possible but he knew it was a lost cause.
He had one fleeting thought as the darkness took over and he could feel himself sinking to the ground: though he hated the thought of Carlos having to find him like this he hoped desperately that he came home soon.
He hoped that he got here before it was too late.
------------
Carlos sighed wearily as he stepped up to his front door, pulling out his keys as he reached the threshold. It was late and his shift had been long, he was just happy to have gotten out on time. For a while, it seemed like it would never end.
But it had and now he was home and all he wanted to do was convince TK to order some takeout and curl up on the couch with his boyfriend and possibly fall asleep in his arms. He didn’t think that was too much to ask.
He barely looked around as he stepped inside, calling out to TK as he shut the door behind him, “Hey babe! I’m thinking takeout tonight, unless you had other plans.”
There was no response and Carlos frowned as he pulled off his shoes. He glanced at the table beside the door to see that TK’s keys were there.
“TK?” he tried again. “You here?”
He didn’t get a response but a glance up the stairs showed him that the bathroom lights were on. Carlos grinned and headed in that direction only to freeze when his foot made contact with something wet and sticky. He looked down and felt his heart jump into his throat.
It was blood, and there was a trail of it leading all the way up the stairs. Carlos stood and stared for a moment, rooted to the spot by horror before his mind caught up and put all the pieces together: TK was hurt.
Carlos raced up the stairs the moment the shock faded; heart thudding in his chest. He barely took a moment to dwell on the growing horror at the sight of a larger puddle almost at the top. It was too much blood. Whatever had happened it was bad and he needed to find TK now.
He reached the bathroom a moment later and careened through the open doorway only to freeze at the sight that met him: TK, sprawled on the ground in a small pool of blood. He wasn’t moving.
Carlos crashed to his knees beside his still form, reaching out a shaking hand to feel for his pulse. For several moments he felt nothing and Carlos couldn’t breathe, the weight of dread and despair pressing on him from every angle. Then, by some miracle, he felt it. A slight beat under his fingers. It was weak and slow but it was there and in that moment it was the best thing Carlos had ever felt.
He blinked to clear his eyes of the tears that had gathered as he reached into his pocket for his phone, dialing before tossing it next to him on speaker. He leaned forward to examine TK as the call connected and the familiar cadence of dispatch answered: 911, what is your emergency?
Carlos swallowed before speaking: “I just came home to find my boyfriend unconscious and bleeding. I think he’s been stabbed.”
Because know that he was looking he saw it: a wound at the center of all the blood. It was angry and red and nothing he had ever wanted to see on the body of the man he loved but a sight he was all too familiar with nonetheless. He answered the rest of the questions on autopilot, providing his name and address and other relevant details but the majority of his focus was on TK. He had been next to him, touching him and moving him and he hadn’t stirred. Carlos was no medic but even he was well aware that was a bad sign.
He desperately wanted to know what had happened. TK had sent him a text two hours ago to tell him he had made it home. He had been fine, but now he was bleeding in their bathroom wearing his running clothes and Carlos had no idea why. The only thing he knew for sure was that he needed TK to wake up. Nothing else mattered.
Soon there was commotion as a paramedic team showed up as well as some uniformed officers. Carlos told his colleagues what he knew, answered all the questions the best he could but his eyes never left TK. Through all the prodding and commotion he hadn’t stirred once and that more than anything else reignited the cold fear in Carlos’s chest.
The paramedics worked quickly and efficiently and in no time they had him on a gurney, ready to head to the hospital. Carlos stepped away from the officer he had been speaking to without a word, silently following them down the stairs and to the ambulance. He paused at the door, eyes seeking the paramedic Captain who met his eyes and nodded, gesturing for him to climb in.
He did without a second thought and watched with a heavy heart as they continued to work on TK, giving him fluids and starting a transfusion.
“Is he going to be okay?” he asked quietly, desperately. His voice was thick and when the other paramedic — Megan from the 132, Carlos had worked with her on several scenes — looked up at him, her gaze was grim.
“He’s going to give it the best he has,” she said eventually, “and from what I hear he’s pretty stubborn, but I’m sure you know that.”
Carlos nodded. TK was stubborn, more so than anyone else he had ever met. But there had also been so much blood on the stairs and the floor and god knows where else and he knew what that meant. He knew how precarious this situation was, he knew exactly how much danger TK was in.
He closed his eyes as they raced towards the hospital, squeezing TK’s hand that he had been holding since he had entered the ambulance. Megan was right, TK was stubborn, but so was he. And if anyone thought that they were taking TK away from him, they’d have to go through him first.
He wasn’t about to let him go without a fight.
------------
When TK woke up, he wasn’t fully sure he was awake.
Actually, when he wakes up, he’s not too sure of anything.
He opened his eyes to see the dim light of dawn peeking through the window. Soft pinks and oranges paint the room and distantly TK wonders how he forgot to shut the curtains. He always made sure to shut the curtains after Carlos has a late shift. His boyfriend is naturally an early riser but blocking out the morning sun helped to make sure that he got an adequate amount of sleep after a late shift. TK went to roll over to make sure Carlos was still sleeping when he realized that he wasn’t in their bed.
From there the pieces fell into place and the realization dawned on him: he was in the hospital. He frowned to himself trying to remember how and why. He didn’t think he had gotten hurt on shift and he was pretty sure it hadn’t been one of his usual kitchen accidents but he couldn’t figure out what it was, his mind was too hazy.
He looked around the room and smiled fondly as he saw Carlos, asleep in the chair next to his bed, his head rested on folded arms next to his hip. He reached out a gentle hand to brush a curl off of his forehead, nearly jumping himself when his light touch caused Carlos to sit bolt upright, eyes frantically looking around the room. They seemed unfocused when they found TK looking at him, for a moment. Then he blinked and they cleared as relief flooded his expression. “TK,” he breathed, reaching out to place a hand on his cheek.
TK leaned into the warmth of the touch and smiled at him until he saw the tears pooling in the corners of his eyes.
“Carlos?” he asked, voice weaker than he expected, “What’s wrong?”
“What’s wrong?” Carlos repeated incredulously, “what’s wrong? TK, you almost died. I almost lost you.”
“What?” he asked, his heart rate picking up at the distress in Carlos’s voice, “What do you mean? What happened?”
“I was hoping you could tell me,” Carlos said more softly. “I came home and found you passed out and bleeding in the bathroom. You had been stabbed, and it was pretty deep.TK, what happened?”
His voice was desperate and TK frowned as he thought. His mind was still fuzzy, but bits and pieces were starting to come back to fill in the blanks left by Carlos’s words.
“We had a rough call during my shift,” he remembered, feeling the pang of guilt and grief hit him all over again, “and I didn’t want to dwell on it so I went for a run. I was running in the park and I think a group of kids robbed me. They were just kids, Carlos, they couldn’t have been more than 19.”
“But they stabbed you,” Carlos said darkly. “I think that graduates them from ‘just kids’, TK.”
“They asked for my wallet but when I told them I didn’t have it…” he trailed off but judging by Carlos’s grimace he could fill in the blanks. “They’re just kids Carlos,” he told him again, “they have their whole lives ahead of them.”
“But thanks to them, you almost didn’t.” Carlos pointed out, his firm tone shifting as choked out the last words, “you almost died, TK. I almost lost you. That goes well beyond kid stuff.”
TK knew Carlos was right but the thoughts he had been running away from were back. He couldn’t stand to think that these boys, no older than Danny had been, were out of chances. He couldn’t stand the thought of their lives as they knew them ending over a stupid mistake.
Carlos was studying him now. He knew that he was an open book to the other man, he had always been. Carlos reached for his hand and wound their fingers together, “Why don’t you tell me what is really going on,” he asked gently. “It has to do with the rough shift, doesn’t it?”
TK swallowed and looked down. “There were two brothers,” he whispered, just loud enough that Carlos could hear, “16 and 19. The older brother was driving. He kept saying that he had just looked away from the road for a moment, that it was all his fault. He made a mistake Carlos — a simple, stupid mistake — and now he and his little brother are both dead. They didn’t get a second chance.”
There were tears running down his face now, but he didn’t bother wiping them away.
“They didn’t get a second chance,” he repeated, “and I’ve had so many. It just doesn’t seem fair.”
He felt a hand on his face as Carlos wiped away the tears running down his face. “You’ve used those chances Ty,” he reminded him tenderly, “you’ve used them to become a better person, to help people. They brought you here and made you who you are. They weren’t wasted and they weren’t a mistake; I think they were fate.”
“But why me?” he asked, voice thick with tears as he met Carlos’s warm brown eyes, “Why did I deserve it? Why didn’t they?”
“I can’t answer that Ty,” Carlos responded sadly, “no one can. We don’t get a say in who gets a second chance. That goes for you, the brothers, and those kids that did this to you.”
TK knew he was right. He knew that it was out of his hands and that regardless of what he said or did, the boys who had robbed him in the park would either be caught and punished out they wouldn’t. It was out of his hands. Carlos was watching him and TK was sure that he knew what he was thinking.
“If that’s not enough,” Carlos said after a few moments, “think about the fact that they could do this again, and that the next person might not be so lucky. The next time it could be a loved one planning a funeral instead of sitting in the ER, because that’s almost where this ended, TK. You can’t protect them.”
TK wasn’t sure “protect” was the right word. He just didn’t want to see three young lives altered over one mistake. He wanted to see them move past this, to grow from it, but he knew he had no say in the matter. He shifted his focus instead to Carlos who was here and who he could help.
“How are you doing?” he asked him, shaking his head at Carlos’s objection. “Don’t give me that,” he insisted. “You have been waiting and worrying all night. You found me and saved me. While I am beyond grateful, I know if it had been me and it had been you, I would be a mess so don’t lie to me, Carlos.”
He held his boyfriend’s gaze, watching as it wilted and as Carlos took a deep, shaky breath.
“It was the scariest thing I have ever faced,” he admitted. “I was a wreck the whole time you were in surgery. If it hadn’t been for your dad and your team, I don’t know what I would have done. But I knew you would be okay because any other possibility was unacceptable.”
“Is that so?” TK asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Mhm,” Carlos agreed. “Because if anyone tried to take you away from me they’d have to go through me first. I don’t give up easily; I learned from the best, after all.”
TK smiled and pulled at Carlos’s hand. He was still too weak for it to make much of a difference but luckily Carlos understood and moved closer. TK leaned in to give him a kiss: short, but full of love. He liked to think that it was a promise too, but just in case he said the words aloud.
“And I would do the same for you,” he vowed, holding Carlos’s eyes and giving him a smile. “We’re in this for the long haul, you know. Anybody who says otherwise will have to answer to me.”

of slushies and shitty coffees ft. iwaizumi hajime.

🍬 this was for vee but i think she deactivated 🧍‍♂️ its also the first one i wrote back in october so its ... maybe not my best
"you know what i am, don't you?" + being immortal boils down to 70% loneliness, 20% doing whatever the hell you want, and 10% recurring nuisances that bear an odd resemblance to your first love.
Tumblr media
To say you hated working the night shift would be an understatement.
Sure, most days it passed with relative ease and allowed you to study on the clock, your studies rarely interrupted. A group of friends with the munchies here, a fellow student in need of a pick-me-up there, and an elderly woman that came in like clockwork at the 4am mark to buy cat food for the strays living nearby. You were well-acquainted with the few regulars of your shift and fond of the night manager, Saeko. On paper, there would be little to hate.
But the classes you had a mere three hours after your shift ended were nothing short of a living nightmare to push through; at this point, you’re sure that your blood is almost entirely comprised of the slushies and shitty coffee you spend your shift helping yourself to.
In fact, you’re in the middle of making yourself one of these slushies when the door opens behind you. “Welcome,” you throw over your shoulder, catching a glimpse of the customer as you achieve slushie-making self-actualization.
Your mouth goes dry instantly.
You’re sure they don’t just let Greek gods walk into the nearest 7-11, but there’s clearly a first time for everything. He’s handsome, with a jaw sculpted from the highest quality marble money could buy. In an attempt to prevent your jaw from hitting the floor, you take a long sip of the slushie. “Fuck!” you hiss, clutching your head as you wait for the brain freeze to recede.
In the time that it takes you to get back to the register, the attractive stranger is about ready to check out. “Just this for you?” you ask, the only noise being the whir of the air conditioning and the scanner beeping at the energy bars. When you don’t get a response, you glance up at him. He’s looking right at you, but there’s something deeper behind it.
It’s like he knows you, that you’re as familiar to him as the beat of his heart, the air in his lungs. It’s both too heavy and entirely too intimate for an interaction that consists of you ringing up his 2AM transaction of three protein bars. ”That’ll be $4.17.”
He pays in exact change. Not another word is exchanged between you, but the intrigue and infatuation you have for the stranger lingers, even into the classes you have the morning after.
The next time you see him, he’s with someone else. A friend, you assume — the man with the perfect brown hair ribs at him as they walk in. Once he makes eye contact with you, however, he falls silent.
You’re beginning to feel like you’re missing out on something, especially when the stranger’s friend pulls him over, saying something in a hushed whisper. Something begins to prickle at your skin, and it’s not (just) the way the AC vent blasts on you from where you‘re sitting.
Thankfully, Saeko has excellent timing, bringing the mop out and greeting the two with a wide grin. “We doing alright over here, boys?” They nod, Mr. Shampoo Commercial saying something about midnight cravings before they make their way to the slushie machine.
”Listen,” Saeko whispers to you as the mop passes your spot at the register, “if those boys do or even say anything strange, you know what to do.” When you’d first started working the night shift, Saeko had been very clear that your safety was her top priority.
(“You college kids remind me of my baby brother,” she’d told you one night as you dusted the shelves. “I know it’d kill me if any of you got hurt.”)
You ring up two slushies: one cherry and one cola. Mr. Shampoo Commercial’s the one paying, and it’s as you‘re returning his change that he decides to speak. “Don’t you remember us?” His voice is smooth, with a dangerous lilt to it.
”Oikawa,” warns Mr. Protein Bar. “Don’t.”
”Why not, Iwa?” To you, Oikawa asks, “It’s been a while, don’t you think?”
”I’m sorry,” you say, trying to keep your voice even in the face of his questions, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Your foot is poised to knock over a busted shelf behind you; it was Saeko’s alarm system, something she claimed could be heard from anywhere in the store.
A look is exchanged between the two men. You don’t bother trying to read it; it’s the sea and the storm, roiling with a language only the two of them are fluent in. “Sorry,” Iwa says, taking his slushie and shoving the cherry one in Oikawa’s hands. “Have a nice night.”
You don‘t see Iwa for a few weeks. The next time you do, he’s alone. It’s another wordless exchange; this time, he’s buying two cans of shitty coffee. “Is your friend waiting outside?” you ask. He looks surprised to hear your voice, probably expecting you to give him the bare minimum after your last encounter.
”Actually,” he rubs the back of his neck, sliding one of the cans your way, “that one’s for you. Sorry about what happened last time.” He pops open the tab of his coffee. “Oikawa doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut.”
You nod, opening your own can. ”What was that all about?” you ask, taking a stab in the dark. You miss, unfortunately: he almost chokes on his coffee, the lines on his face growing more defined as he wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.
”Don’t worry about it.”
It‘s a shitty answer paired with shitty coffee, but you take it.
And if you notice that he almost glimmers with an unreal sheen under the flickering fluorescent light, you dismiss the thought. Nothing else seems very real at three in the morning anyway.
He becomes another regular, swinging by twice a week. Two cans of coffee, paid for with exact change. You don’t have the heart to tell him that as an employee, you could just take from the pot whenever you wanted before you had to brew a new one for the morning rush. At first, he slides the can to you and wishes you a good night on his way out, but he grows more chatty as the weeks go by.
He asks about your day, asks about class, asks about work. Never does he share anything about the life he leads outside of shitty coffee and the four walls of the humble convenience store.
But it comes, little by little, like mismatched pieces forming the mosaic of Iwaizumi Hajime. You see it in the weight of the world trapped in his gaze, the way he rolls broad shoulders as if expecting the bones to crack. Most of all, you realize as you take a sip from your can one night, it’s the way he seems to know you better than you know yourself.
It started simple enough, a nod and a flash of something on his face when you told him what you were majoring in. A knowing chuckle, more to himself, when you mention how the old woman that bought cat food was one of your favorite customers. It comes, little by little, until one piece remains. The only way to get it is to ask.
He beats you to it. “You know what I am, don’t you?” he asks as you’re lifting tonight’s can of coffee to your lips. You spare him a glance before taking a long sip, delaying a response for as long as possible.
“You definitely look too good to be human.”
The corners of his lips twitch. “It’s good to know you never change.” You set the now empty can on the counter.
“Have we met before?” Iwaizumi, at least, has the decency to look sheepish. “Your friend with the perfect hair asked if I remembered you.” He snorts with the identifier you’ve given Oikawa, but you press on. “I don’t. But I think you remember me.”
You wait with bated breath for the final piece to fall into place, but he regards you with a look you can’t read.
You’re about to chalk it up to another swing and a miss, but he pulls out his wallet, a worn leather thing. From it comes a single picture, the color faded yellow, the image predating even black and white photography.
It’s Iwaizumi, looking just the same as he does now. He’s got his arm around the person next to him, pressing a kiss to their forehead. The other person is grinning from ear to ear, and it doesn’t take long to recognize who it is.
It’s you.

Chrysanthemums: this particular flower has been said to symbolise fidelity, optimism, and joy. Aside from their beauty, this is a flower that is long-lasting, low-maintenance and quite affordable.
Kim Taehyung
With his constant attempts to avoid doing anything physical, Taehyung does occasionally enjoys the outside setting.
However, most of his time would be spent bathing in nature’s warmth rather than interacting with others. Just having these little silent yet peaceful moments really replenishes his mental stability. It is also a time where memories of the past would revisit him.
Spending time just enjoying your presence under the sun’s warm gaze, and talking about your guys’ memories really makes Taehyung cherish it even more.
Also, don’t forget to bring Yeontan with you guys. As the proud parent of Yeontan, Taehyung would feel so much pride whenever you play with the little pup.
It reminds him of the family that he can come to whenever he needs them and that there are still people who cares for him.
“ The landscape here is so pretty! How did you find it?... Yeontan! Run with Y/n!”

Kim Namjoon
Whenever you and Namjoon go outside, you both always end up in random bookstores littered throughout the different districts.
Spending your time talking about the manuscripts and writings that you both had previously read as you browse the stores.
Reaching out to grab what had interested you while tuning in to Namjoon’s conversation with the seller about the newly released medical books, you began to take out your wallet, preparing to pay for your guys’ items.
After deciding on what you wanted, you headed to the front of the store and payed for your items. Swiftly snatching the books that Namjoon had wanted, you turned around and exited the store after greeting the seller.
Hopelessly sighing at your attempts to prevent him room destroying the products, Namjoon greeted and thanked the seller before quickly running after you. On to the next store you both go.
“ You don’t need to do that, Y/n. You know I won’t accidentally rip the pages, it’s not possible... you can keep it until we get back.”

Jung Hoseok
Coming from a noble household, Hoseok was surprisingly quite comfortable with the outside world. Maybe it’s his natural ability to befriend anyone or the friendly vibe that he gives off.
Either way, it definitely attracts quite a bit of people, even with him dressed as a commoner. You also noticed that he seemed more relaxed here than in the palace, almost as if he had spent years living here.
Anyways, always pay attention to where he is since he can easily disappear when he gets interested in something. Having experienced it a few times, Hoseok does have some presciences to stay close to you but when he gets excited, all of those get thrown out of the window with him rushing to whatever like an overexcited child.
“ The lady at that stall was so friendly, she even gave me an extra bun! You can have it... gasp, Look! They’re performing something, let’s go over there and see!”
Tumblr media
Min Yoongi
The amount of times Yoongi have ever step foot outside of the palace’s walls are in the single digits.
As a child, the vicious adults would constantly feed his curiosity by telling him all the myths involved in the streets, and how dirty it is.
As a result, he was quite hesitant in going out to the streets. However, Yoongi will go out as long as he is with you.
If you both are alone, without any guards or servants to accompany you; the trip will be quite interesting. Like a little child, he’s quite hesitant on venturing out so do expect him to be quite attached to you.
However, as he is in the public, he does have to maintain his little persona. To others, he might just look possessive of his companion, but to you, it was more like an act from an overly dramatic kitten. Though, you will have to make sure to keep that thought to yourself. After all, Yoongi has a reputation to uphold.
“ What is that? ... Food? Is it really edible? Is it safe to eat? Do I want to try? ... W-why a-are you buying them?”
Tumblr media
Jeon Jungkook
What originally was him accompanying you changed to you actually accompanying Jungkook. With his mixed bloodline, the streets have always been a pleasure break for him, especially with how hectic and annoying the palace can become.
As a result, Jungkook really enjoyed spending his time out here during his childhood.
However, as he gets older, he found himself getting more involved with the harem, hence not having the time to enjoy these simple things.
As a result, the moment he heard about your little outing, he’ll be sprinting out the door and prepare for the departure.
Dressing in commoner’s clothing reminds him of the peaceful days as a child where he could wander to wherever without getting pestered at.
With the familiar earthy smell of the ground and the loud crowds, Jungkook practically dragged you to every stall positioned on both sides, pushing his way through the crowd while still maintaining that goofy grin.
“ Your maj—, n-no I mean Y/n, do you perhaps enjoy this?... It’s so pretty and delicate!... Let’s go and see why they’re crowding over there!”
Tumblr media
Kim Seokjin
Convincing Seokjin to step out of his luxurious carriage is already difficult, but getting him to put away the roll of red fabric is practically impossible.
However, after pulling him out of the carriage, it was already too late to go back. So as a result, have fun with all of his nagging.
Being the rich merchant he is, Seokjin would pull you around pointing at every product while saying a sarcastic comment about their quality, as well as exaggerate his products to you.
With how loud he is, it is expected that every merchant would overhear your guys’ conversation and get offended by him degrading their product.
As a result of his obnoxious behaviour, the entire crew got chased by countless people, barely being able to get back to the palace in one piece. Looks like you will never do this with Seokjin again.
“ The quality of this candle is the worse I’ve ever seen. Mine is way better! Why are they looking at us like that?”
Tumblr media
Park Jimin
Despite his not so pleasant view on the outside world, it is the only place where Jimin’s secret low esteem gets replenish whenever he shows off his flirtatious side. Having people falling head over heels for his appearance makes him so giddy that he would do anything to make the most of it.
However, that doesn’t mean that he will completely ignore your presence because you’re his main target! Constant little flirts would be sent your way as you both venture in the streets until you both entered the beauty section.
Completely forgetting his previous intentions, Jimin’s eyes sparkled at the countless jewelry and accessories that were displayed. Practically hopping to every store, Jimin excitedly showed you all the items that had caught his eyes.
Paying for whatever he had picked out, you happily watched his interaction with the seller, glad to see the little innocence he had buried deep inside him.
“ Your— Y/n! Look at what I found! Doesn’t this match my eyes? Quick, come! I just saw this really pretty necklace!”

Adrinette April Day 2: Rebellion
@adrinetteapril
Read on AO3  scene adapted from Chapter 9 of The Wall Between Us
Marinette let go of a long sigh as she reclined her back against the cool wood of the bench. She was at the park next to her house. It had been a long, long day at school and she was happy that it was finally behind her. Sketching for a few minutes, sitting under the cool shade of a tree always helped her shed the frustrations of the day; particularly one as taxing as this one. She made herself comfortable on the bench, took a deep breath, and gathered her creativity, focusing it at the tip of her pencil as she prepared to spill it into a design. As she did this, she lifted her sight to find the muse of the day, something that might be worth putting into paper.
Something like... Adrien sneaking out of fencing practice?
The girl observed him from a baffled distance, witnessing the way he sported an uncharacteristic devious smirk on his face as he hurriedly descended down the steps of the school, two at a time. He looked to each side of the street, as if looking for spies, and darted in Marinette’s direction; to the park.
The comical then happened: Stepping into the park, he shed his usual white overshirt and shoved it into his sports bag, produced an unassuming grey hoodie along with an insulting neon green cap, and quickly put them on. Merrily, he walked with a light spring towards the park kiosk to buy himself a soda and then proceeded to find a bench to sit on.
Witnessing Adrien being so evidently pleased at breaking the rules was like watching a cat walk on its hindlegs: bizarre, to say the least.
Marinette giggled at his confidence; at how sure he seemed that no one would be able to tell his identity under this poorly-thought disguise. She gathered the courage to go talk to him, just for a quick hello. Making the most of the fact he had not spotted her yet, she approached from behind him.
“FYI, you stick out like a sore thumb with that cap on,” she said, startling Adrien and prying a tiny gasp from him.
“Marinette!” he cried, tugging at his cap as if doing so might conceal his face better. “What are you doing here?”
“I, um... Designs,” she said lamely, lifting her sketchbook for Adrien to see. “But what are you doing here? Don’t you have fencing today?”
Adrien quirked an eyebrow. “How do you--”
Marinette’s face became red with embarrassment, quickly interrupting him hoping she hadn’t exposed the things she knew about him. “Just a lucky guess, heh, heh.”
“I’m sneaking out,” he said, scanning the surroundings.
“Why are you whispering?”
“Because you never know. Natalie always catches me. Sometimes I feel like she tapped my phone or something.”
Marinette pressed her lips into a sympathetic smile, with her courage quickly returning to her to poke fun at him a little more, “Well, one thing is for sure. You’re making it easy for her with that neon green thing on you.”
“It’s the only cap I could find in the morning! Is it really that bad?”
“Take it off. You call less attention without it,” Marinette said with a giggle. “You wouldn’t be able to hide your identity for the life of you.”
Adrien laughed. “I’ll have you know I have excellent camouflaging skills.”
“Right, right. And I’m Ladybug.”
Adrien grinned at her. His delighted heart missed a beat or two as he relished in the possibility.
“Anyway,” Marinette said, nervousness building up inside of her at the prospect of being alone with Adrien. “I should probably get going, good luck with the sneaking out.”
“Wait!” Adrien said, more disappointed than he wanted to sound. “I, um... Would you like to spend some time with me? We could find something to do. If you’re not busy, that is.”
Marinette ignored the warm blush that crept on her cheeks. “What-- yes. Co fourse! I mean of course! I mean--heh. Yeah, what--what did you have in mind?”
Adrien beamed at her, stood up, and then gave her a little devilish smirk. Marinette couldn’t help but be both a little worried and infinitely curious to know what sorts of trouble Adrien wanted to get into.
They headed back to the kiosk again, this time with the mission of filling Adrien’s backpack with as many snacks as they could fit. To the clerk’s satisfaction, that involved practically emptying the little hut out of the day’s stock.
Loot packed up and horrible neon green caps out of the way, Adrien led Marinette to stage two of his plan. They headed a few blocks away from the park, to a residential area where Adrien started testing for unlocked front doors in the apartment buildings.
“What are you doing?” Marinette asked, a bit bewildered.
“Looking for an open door,” Adrien explained, simultaneously finding what he was searching for. “Ah! Success!” he exclaimed, pushing the door open. “After you prin--After you.”
Marinette gave him a suspicious look but did his bidding, following him inside and then onto the building’s stairs.
“Adrien what are you doing?” Marinette asked again, more evidently worried. “We’re going to get in trouble!”
“No, we’re not,” he assured her as he consistently climbed up the staircase. “Trust me.”
“Why do I get the feeling you’ve done this before,” she said as she reached the very last floor, finding Adrien negotiating with the lock of the only door there.
He pulled what looked like a fancy, metal credit card from his wallet, and used to click the lock open. Marinette snorted at the sight.
“Why use a platinum credit card in the Champs Elysees when you can use it to perform a misdemeanor,” Marinette said.
“My thoughts exactly,” Adrien said with a wink, pushing the door to the roof open and seizing an indistinct brick that lay there to prevent the door from shutting close.
“You are an actual teenage vandal aren’t you,” Marinette said, absolutely bewildered at Adrien’s criminal tendencies. “So is this how you spend your free time? Breaking into people’s roofs?”
Adrien giggled as he found a spot to sit near the edge of the building. “In a way, I guess you could say that.”
Marinette shook her head, still in shock as she joined Adrien.
Worried at her silence, and that she might think less of him for this little escapade, Adrien hurried to look for her validation. “Are you mad? I swear I’ve only done it a couple of times and if it makes you really uncomfortable we can go down. I’m sorry.”
Marinette turned to see Adrien’s worried, expectant face. “What? No, no. I’m not mad! It’s okay. It’s just... I never thought you had it in you to be this...”
“Bad?” he asked, sadness staining his tone.
“Rebellious,” she offered instead. “It’s a bit odd. At school, you’re always so, so... perfect.”
Adrien scrunched up his nose. “I know, I hate it,” he confessed, pulling his legs to his chest responding to a subconscious need to hide.
Trying not to delve too much into the thought, he reached for the bag where the snacks were and emptied their little treasure between them. He gestured for Marinette to have the first pick, which she indulged by grabbing a bag of chips and a bottle of sparkling pink lemonade.
Adrien grabbed a pack of fruit gummies and plain sparkling water as he spoke again. “Most of the stuff I do, I do it for my father.” He sighed and then continued quietly. “But it doesn’t matter how hard I work, it always feels like it’s not good enough for him and I’m tired of pretending to be someone I am not.”
Marinette’s heart wrung at Adrien’s confession. A small part of her did wonder what brought him to trust her like this so out of the blue, but this and any of her other reservations flew out the window at the sight of him being so evidently upset. It pained Marinette to see him like that.
“I’m so sorry, Adrien,” she said softly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“Why? It’s not your fault.”
“I mean, I’m sorry that... that your father makes you feel that way.”
Adrien looked down, hugging his legs a little tighter.
“But you can always be yourself around me,” she offered, with her voice trembling.
Adrien’s saddened pout slowly melted into a warm smile. “I know,” he said. “That’s why I like spending time with you, Marinette. You’re the greatest friend I could possibly have asked for.”
She tried not to pay too much attention to the utter disappointment that washed over her at the idea of Adrien seeing her as just a friend. Instead, she focused on the part that mattered: That he could have someone with whom he didn’t feel the need to pretend or put up an act. As Ladybug, she knew the burden all too well and didn’t wish it on anyone, certainly not on Adrien.
“Yep,” she said. “That’s what friends are for! Heh, heh.”
“And um, you, too.”
“Me, too?”
“I mean, you don’t have to pretend around me...” he said, taken aback by the fact he was inexplicably blushing. “I notice that you always get, er... a little tongue-tied.”
“Oh!” Marinette piped, perking up with the dread that suddenly seized her. “That. Ha, ha. That’s nothing! I just... have... uh... you know me. I don’t-- I, why would you think that?”
“I don’t know,” Adrien said, shrugging. “It’s just, this is the first real conversation you and I have ever had. It’s... nice. I wish we could do it more often.”
Marinette laughed nervously, beyond herself with mortification and wondering whether Adrien actually knew the kind of influence he had on her. Maybe he did and he just enjoyed messing with her.
“I just... get a little nervous, that’s all,” she said sheepishly.
“Why? Is it because I’m famous?” Adrien said, adopting a smug flair. One that helped Marinette overcome her embarrassment faster than she could say ‘Lucky Charm’. She didn’t know exactly why, but Adrien’s smug, rebellious side--the side she had been witness to for the good part of the last few hours, helped her feel more at ease, more willing to use her own sass on him.
She rolled her eyes and playfully jabbed him with her arm. “You’re so full of yourself, aren’t you?  And here I was, thinking you were a perfectly polite, quiet, well-behaved boy. How wrong I was.”
“I’m all of those things!” Adrien protested as he shoved an indiscriminate handful of gummies into his mouth and leaned back. “But, you know,” he added with a small wink. “What other people don’t know, won’t kill them.”
“Show-off,” Marinette teased.
“Only with the right audience,” Adrien said, defending himself.
Adrien was about to remark how Marinette was one to talk. How she convinced him of being the class sweetheart when in reality she was as sassy as they come. Unfortunately, he’d have to save that joke for later, because as they bantered, an Akuma rose in the distance.
Duty called.
