4, 6, and 11 for the ask game please :)
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
hmm.. it would be a tie between faces and horse legs/hooves. It's a hit or miss whenever i draw either so i either have a fun time drawing them or im dragging myself through quicksand.
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
one inspiration for sure is Matt McCormick's art when i'm drawing horses or cowboys with ink or graphite. The scratchy marks that captures the wild west's energy so explosively, I really do see myself trying to create that sort of feeling in my sketches too.
i feel like the way i fill up empty space (be it scribbles or handmade "stickers") in my sketchbook is also pretty influenced by artists i follow on instagram, like sometimes i look at how my spread was composed and im like, this looks sorta like a [insert fav artist]'s sketchbook page but in my style and then im like, huh, cool! I think this one helped me majorly understand good composition because that is something that highly weighs in on whether a spread looks good or not.
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
ok ok ok so like sometimes if i feel like i wanna draw but at the same time i dont, i put on art videos mainly draw-with-me vlogs or sketchbook tours and after a video or two and im in the groove i switch to music. sometimes its my silly mood playlist on spotify sometimes im itching for a specific artist/band, sometimes im on yt listening to a random playlist but lately, it's been house music mixes on yt. House music and drawing, SUCH a vibe!! i highly recommend. Maybe it's my latest interest in rallying and rally cars which goes pretty hand in hand with house music (rally house) has got me listening to house music more but man am I jamming out while drawing some fishies.

Hi. Not VMIN or Namjin related, but I would love to hear your opinion about some critics (maybe haters is a better word lol) saying how Butter's success is inorganic. They were saying how it's just army mass streaming and mass buying etc, that the BB charts are irrelevant bec of it. It's a controversial topic and apparently it was common in the music industry to have payolas too? Lol. I never knew there's politics into it. Does streaming practically mean "cheating" ? Your thoughts?
You've come to the right place because I have a lot of opinions on the topic and I'm more than willing to share my thoughts because truly, just like everybody else, I'm sick and tired of yet another whiny white man of the week coming at us with baseless accusations of ARMY "cheating" and inorganically pushing Butter because that doesn't fit with what has been the status quo so far.
The issue, though really it only is an issue because it’s BTS and ARMY, is, like you said, ARMY buying Butter via the US store offered to us by BH/Columbia. This is funded either via funding accounts that gather donations and distribute them to those (usually fellow ARMYs) willing/wanting to buy the song, or people who just, well, want to buy the song because they like it, which includes non-ARMYs, aka locals/the general public. None of that is against the rules, which I think whiny white man of the week also acknowledged, but here we are anyway.
This complaint isn’t new either, we’ve already gone over it last year with Dynamite, so it’s another cyclical piece of discourse we’re having to deal with. Here is something that Bryan Rolli, a journalist writing (among other places) for Forbes and the man behind a lot of really good articles about BTS (among them also one in defense of them about this very topic), twted recently:
Tumblr media
And he is right, it’s unrealistic to think that even a fandom as large as ours in the US would be able to find funds they are able to spend across five weeks and ongoing in order to just make the #1 happen based on sales. There is no way, unless we have some truly generous rich people amongst us who would be wiling to spend thousands of dollars. Which we don't, as far as I’m aware. Which leaves us with one conclusion: while yes, ARMY are able to buy a good quantity of copies of Butter, it’s ridiculous to think that a song that is such a hit hasn't found its way into the heart of locals as well and that there aren’t people out in the US who just like the song and have bought it. Not because ARMY asked them to, but because they genuinely wanted to.
Besides, regardless how many copies ARMY would buy, sales aren’t the only deciding factor that goes into which song gets onto the charts, and which one will be #1.
In order to chart on Billboard Hot 100 you basically need points gathered across three major categories: Sales (physical as well as digital), Streams (this includes music streaming services as well as video streams on YT) and Airplay. There are more finer details that go into all three of these, but just knowing those basics is enough for this post.
Staying with sales, there are many ways in which you can game the system, most of them ways BH has never touched while US artists did. Have any of these critics ever proclaimed how that was breaking and manipulating the charts? Of course not. At the height of the bundles era a label could decide to bundle something as cheap as a lollipop with a song/album and the sale of that lollipop would count as song/album sale, even if you didn’t actually pay for the album/song. That used to be an awfully popular method of gaming the system, just like selling a single song on a CD for a dollar (which isn’t against the rules) knowing that physical sales weigh heavier than digital ones. Again, that’s something BH/BTS never did.
So, even if we’d have sales covered, we still need streams and airplay to get that number one. Do you know what one of the major factors was for why ON “only” made it onto #4 and never onto #1? It wasn’t the song being bad and ARMY not buying, but because it barely got any spins on US radios. And by barely I mean (if I remember right) less than ten.
More below the cut:
Years ago when BTS were not anywhere as famous in the BTS as they are now, ARMY would call radio stations across the US, send flowers and cupcakes, just to get them to play BTS. In most cases, radios laughed at them and refused to do it. Thanks to one radio DJ we even know that there used to be a group chat of radio DJs who spent their time ridiculing BTS and ARMY and discussing how regardless of what we’d do, they wouldn’t play them anyway because *inset dumb, likely ra/cist, reasons here*.
Thankfully with Dynamite and Butter being English singles, the tides have turned a little more in our favor. According to this website the wonderful BTSChartData has created, Butter has had a reach/audience of 12M when it comes to radio (I’m unsure if this is overall or just this week) with nearly 3.5k spins. This helps tremendously when it comes to BBH100 points, but it’s important to remember that really, we don’t have any real influence on radio playlisting. Labels do through something commonly known as payola. And many, and by that I mean many, do that for their artists. Notice how some songs are being played nearly every hour? And yet other things which are massive hits get barely any plays at all? As far as we know BH/Colombia has never done any of this for BTS. If they had, those spin numbers would look very differently.
At this point we could get into a whole argument how messed up it is that it took an English song for radios to play BTS while they basically refused to do so with their Korean ones, and how with radio charts labels have the ability to pay their chosen songs to be high on them, but that’s a can of worms that would take too much time and we’re all aware that it’s a thing that happens.
The last category is streaming and here it gets messy, or messier, depending on how you look at it. ARMY might be the only fandom with this degree of knowledge about streaming and how to make our streams count, how to set up playlists properly etc, and yes, we do use our knowledge to our advantage, so to speak. And yet the system still finds a way to penalize us for it by basically filtering out massive amounts of streams for apparently no reason whatsoever. While other songs and their first day streams saw a filter rate of perhaps ten, maybe twenty, percent, do you know what it looked like for Butter?
Tumblr media
That’s quite the difference, right? And it remained at such drastic numbers for quite a while, too. Despite ARMY knowing how not to behave like bots, even though critics and antis love to present us as such. Does Spotify explain those filter rates, or even how those are decided and calculated? No. So basically ARMY is up against an invisible power that has all the tools while we have to hope we won’t get stepped on and crushed like ants.
Speaking of Spotify, a big part of how streaming numbers happen and how songs find their way in front of new audiences are playlists, specifically the ones curated by unknown Spotify staff members like Today’s Top Hits (28.8M followers) or Top 50 - Global (16M followers). Since those playlists are created by Spotify using whatever secret criteria, we have no influence onto them (other than some that depend, to a degree, on streaming numbers). Labels do through, again, payola. Labels can buy their artists top spots on the biggest playlists and thus their songs get massive streaming numbers, not because fans genuinely listen to them, but because random people listening to those playlists might have it playing in the background without them even really knowing it or being aware who the artist is or what the song is called. You know those ads you get when you’re listening to the free version of Spotify, specifically those advertising some new album or song? Even just those thirty seconds of ad time count as a stream.
While it’s true that ARMY hold streaming parties, it is also a fact that ARMY, unlike many other fandoms, really spend a lot of time genuinely listening to BTS’ music in general. And while some idiots on twt think streaming means sitting motionlessly while staring at a screen as the song is playing over and over again, most ARMY just have the music playing while they do something else, like household chores or reading or doing work. Is it cheating to enjoy your favorite artists music? To play it on Spotify or any other streaming platform? Is it cheating to watch an MV simply because you enjoy it? No, of course not.
Therefore, to answer your question, no, streaming isn’t cheating. And neither are listening/streaming parties since, chances are, even without them those participating in them would be listening to BTS anyway. Thanks to those parties they get to do it with a sense of community, talk to each other, discuss whichever song is currently playing, and have fun. Nothing inorganic about that.
Pulling up another Brian, in this case Brian Cantor who is an entertainment journalist, here’s something he said that I think is very true:
Tumblr media
And that’s the thing, when BH set up streaming parties for a week after the release of Butter, that was seen negatively, as well as ARMY doing their own, and yet when another artist’s label did it for them, it was seen as fun way to engage with fans and to make listening to the new album a collective experience, or something like that. As long as it is Bangtan, only the negatives will count. But they (critics) forget something, as in, setting up listening parties and online stores for songs is one thing, but getting people to actually tune in and spend their coin on music are a completely different one.
Tumblr media
And this is the thing that whiny white man of the week, chose whichever one you want, don’t understand--the fact that ARMY are a big and very active fandom. That we are organized and that, in order for BTS to chart and be known, BH/Columbia doesn’t need to use any of the cheats that US labels use, like payola. They don’t have to rely on the whims of the general public, on radio DJs, or put out tens of thousands of dollars to get proper playlisting and interest in a song. BTS releases new music and ARMY is there, we tune in, we spend our hard earned money on their music, not because some smart PR tactic tricked us into it, not because playlisting, payola, and mediaplay tricked us into it, but because we genuinely enjoy their music, because we have this one of a kind connection with Bangtan, one that US labels, and whiny white man of the week, don’t understand. And don’t really care to understand either.
Because those aren’t the norm in the US. Because in the past hit songs were decided through large sums of money and deals happening behind closed doors. Yet now ARMY and BTS are here. We see the broken pieces of the system, we shine light upon them, reveal the negatives and all the ways in which the system doesn’t work and/or isn’t fair, we’re vocal about it on social media, and whiny white man of the week, as well as label executives, don’t like it. So we are made out to be the bad guys. For genuinely enjoying our favorite artists and their music. For being willing to listen to them and to spend money on them. What scandalous behavior.
We don’t do what we do because we want to game the system, but because we want things to be more fair, for BTS to get the respect they deserve, to be listened to and given the time of day. They are called the biggest band in the world right now, so why is it so hard to believe that their song is rightfully #1? That they are simply popular, not just with ARMY but also with locals (Dynamite is the background music in the new trailer for the Clifford the Big Red Dog movie, has been used at high school graduations, and many other things showing just how big of a hit it still is almost a year later, that isn’t us, that’s locals loving the song just as much as we do), and that ARMY aren’t just silly little girls (not that there is anything wrong with being a little girl that enjoys music, of course) that scream any time someone as much as mentions BTS. We are a large and extremely diverse fandom in terms of age, gender, race, and education/profession. We see the injustice and we aren’t afraid to point it out and stand up against it.
What we are doing isn’t manipulation, isn’t inorganic or fake, and it certainly isn’t making BBH100 irrelevant or broken. If anything it shows that it already was that way before we arrived.

ONEUS Hwanwoong x Ballroom Dancing
been a while since i made these headcanons, but after listening to Monsta X’s “Gasoline”, i can’t help but get inspired and write this shit down yo. if you haven’t listened to it, please actually give the fatal love album a listen hahaha it’s gud gud.
anyway, i was debating on where to put hwanwoong in terms of style, very tempted to say he’s a 10-dancer (bc main dancer and all, he can probably do everything lol) but ultimately went with this bc i thought it was a better fit for him.
(also this got so long, i got too carried away)
PAIRING: Hwanwoong x reader. GENRE: headcanons. WARNINGS: n/a. WORD COUNT: 1,085.
Master List
---
Hwanwoong, like dancer!Kino can do virtually every dance, but ultimately, he is a Latin dancer, and just dabbles in other styles. He studied in a performing arts school and was top student of his year, every year--he’s just that good.
From when he was young he always wanted to be a dancer, and his parents supported him, enrolling him in all kinds of classes, and he took to all of them like a duck to water, but he found he enjoyed Latin so much that he decided to use his extra time on it.
Balanced school life with competitions extremely well that some people actually wondered if he even slept or took breaks because he’s always seen up and about. He was never absent for class or missed training, and he was nice, too? Damn.
He met you in college, when you were partnered up for a biology class. You had to meet for a presentation and were sorting out your schedules when you realized you had virtually the same timetables (morning conditioning until 7AM - classes until 5PM - training until 9PM on the weekdays; training 10AM to 3PM on weekends; and the rest of the time for studying). Thus began your bond over finding out the other was a ballroom dancer.
Since then, whenever one of you had a showcase for your dance studios, you’d ask the other to be the partner. At first it was just those casual, small shows, but then Hwanwoong started seriously considering joining the senior division ballroom competitions. (He’d taken a break for college and to train more before seniors.)
He was super shy talking to you about it, but when he finally asked you if you could be his permanent professional partner, you said yes right away. You know his schedule and regimen is tough as hell, but you had your eye on competitions too, and who better to perform with than Hwanwoong?
Your personal relationship progressed naturally from there. Because of all the time you spent training at his studio (you switched because Hwanwoong’s studio was closer to campus and your dorm; it was a no-brainer), you got to see all sides of him. He gets the serious things out of the way first, such as learning choreo and polishing, before goofing off and doing a freestyle or covering the latest K-Pop dance trend just for fun.
Has a hand in creating competition and showcase choreography, but it’s not often that happens since his coach/choreographer is really good. Nevertheless, he likes experimenting with different tempos or ballroom/non-ballroom fusion dances.
Absolutely detests conditioning. He argues that he already dances different styles so much that strength/core/flexibility conditioning doesn’t really matter anymore. Hwanwoong will also absolutely complain if you make him lift dumbbells, claiming you and the coach are torturing him (he’ll still finish the reps and sets tho).
Has a Twitter and IG that he posts to maybe once a week, and a YouTube channel, but that one is basically empty. He doesn’t really have the energy to edit videos and put them up on YT, so the only things public that are there are dance playlists, and his own competition performances on the Watch Later list.
Mirror selfies. Mirror selfies as far as the eye can see. He posts quite a lot on his SNS and it’s usually a selfie (alone or with your or with his friend group) with a caption that range from jokes, insightful inquiries for his followers, and even a full paragraph that one time.
Has a TikTok that he uses specifically for doing those K-Pop trends, and has a big following over there that don’t even know he’s a ballroom dancer.
He leaves any video uploading to you on your SNS accounts, but most of them are you guys playing with IG filters or short NG clips. (There was one time you were supposed to to an underarm turn, but forgot to tuck in your free arm and accidentally hit him right in the midsection. The loud song on the speakers was eclipsed by Hwanwoong’s “oof” for a second.)
Hwanwoong loves being able to play with choreography, so naturally he loves the faster dances. As such, his favorite dance when he wants to let loose is the jive. It gives his legs a good workout, and he can be as goofy and loud as he wants. The kicks and flicks are his kind of step; he isn’t even sure why, but he gets a high when he watches himself do a good, high kick in the mirror.
Another favorite is the samba. It’s a silver-level dance that takes a toll on his “old man knees”, as he calls them, but because of the constant controlled bouncing motion, it helps get his cardio exercise for the day. He likes to say it’s a club dance, since it can be on the slower side or whiplash fast. Loves making choreography to samba rhythms in particular.
Heard Monsta X’s “Gasoline” Once™ and called you in the middle of the night to ask if you want to dance to it. He called you on Thursday night and by Saturday morning he already has around 2/3 of the song choreographed.
It’s mostly basic samba steps and variations, mixed with one or two highlights, but Hwanwoong also wanted to try out a dance hall fusion, and thought it’d be the perfect experiment.
You have a habit of filming dances once the choreo is memorized and polished, so you set up the tripod and filmed it static. Your coach was super impressed and said you should perform it for a competition showcase sometime.
There is also a mutual agreement to post it on Hwanwoong’s YT channel, and within a day there were already clips of it circulating on Twitter, your fans and some Monbebe commenting that it was such a hot routine and tagging the boy group. Neither of you honestly expected the great response it got and decided to try making routines for other popular songs with the right beat.
The reaction to your “Gasoline” routine led people to look for your competition and showcase videos and suddenly people were commenting on Hwanwoong’s brilliant facial expressions. He puts emotion into every half-step and every flourish of his arm that people commented on how they just couldn’t stop looking at him.
Cue this being used by you and his other close friends to lovingly tease him with.

Maybe you should not mention 6iix9iine because that man is fighting with ariana/beiber about a #1 on the billboard 100 charts. Louis has never even been closed to a 1. Like louis last couple of songs were not even on the chart. 6iix9iine is disgusting and I wish he didn't have a career but even during corona and not doing any promo on tv, radio etc he still has done 10000000 times better than Louis in the us. Without the 1d fanbase.
I mean that was my point?? That 6iix9iine guy has no personality, talent or love from the GP n his industry reputation is basically ruined after spending jail time for pedophilia yet his team had enough trust in him to invest in his comeback single, get the song on big playlists and use huge no of bots to increase his YT video views and comments (look it up on twt). He does not have any "" pull"" so his team created it. If pieces of shit like HIM can get the GP interested then this just proves that an artist's popularity has less to do with his talent and more to do with how much he is sold n showed down ppls throats.
Louis' team never bothered increasing his exposure or investing in his promo n as a result he is where he is. It has nothing to do with his personality, pull, resources or whatever bullshit argument ppl might pull out. If hos team wanted to promote him, they would.

Things I’ve done for the past three weeks to keep my sanity:
Started using my coloring book until my wrist screams ‘stop it’
Had a solo fashion show and wore some ridiculous outfits on grocery runs
Created a throwback playlist on YT to entertain myself during cleaning sessions and use as background music when I work
Made a ton of shitty gifs
Finally finished reading The Mother-in-Law (I’d give it 4/5) and on the hunt for another whodunit
Watched a lot of romcoms (the Hallmark movies are still so white huh)
Reading fanfics (For some reason Dair and Bonnie-centric fics tend to be my go-tos. Maybe cause they were treated so horribly in canon.)
Started a few shows: Man Like Mobeen (love it!), The Rookie (it’s fine so far), Pushpavalli (main character is something else and I can’t stop watching), Hunters (I liked it but wanted more ass-kicking. I will def watch a s2 if there is one), Burden of Truth (It’s so slooow. It’s lacking something, but I’ll finish it for Kristin), Tiger King (omg it’s insane!)
Killed time with my feel good entertainment: Psych, Monk, Burn Notice, Death in Paradise, Murder She Wrote, Living Single, The Office

2014-15
No.Mercy Playlist (Their pre-debut survival show)
Trespass - Debut track of of album of the same name! Very hip hop influenced. I also recommend watching the Beagle ver. for a more funnier less serious side of them

Tumblr media
Rush - A more bright MV compared to Trespass. Here you’ll start to recognize the Monsta X sound ^^
Tumblr media
Hero - The Mv where they decided to put a  boy who is afraid of heights on a roof but you would’ve never guessed ! Do you like abs? Their some of that in there. Do you like member focused shots / self-cams? Its in their too! Do you like a pretty catchy song with good choreography? Its here too ^^. This is the track that attracted many people to Monsta X during their first year!
Tumblr media
Amen - 10/10 I recommend you watch this 7 times, so you can see each member individually ^^  A very cute boyfriend style member focused MV . This will probably help you when choosing a bias !
Tumblr media
Perfect Girl - A sweet self cam MV where the boys sing to you it can be cringey but its cute y’all
Tumblr media
Gone Bad - Another self cam MV where the boys are just being goofy/ being themselves
Tumblr media
This concludes Monsta X Official MVs of 2015!
While there were solo tracks, mixtapes, OSTs as well as their No.Mercy tracks I just want to show you their officials songs ^^  Do you like them so far ? If not its okay! Maybe their releases of 2016 will be better for you?
                                                   MEMBERS
But enough of music for now! Lets get you to meet the members :3
This will be a quick over view of the members! There are many guides on this site I will try to link a few at the bottom.
Shownu | Position : Leader, Vocalist,Visual as well as the Father
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Bear
Shownu is a very reserved person and at times can be awkward which is his charm. He has visibly come out of his shell over time and is interacting more and speaking. Many doubted his ability to be a leader because he is a quiet person but he does take charge and takes care of his members!
When Shownu appears of variety shows the host seem to have lots of fun messing with him because of his reserved stiff nature. He will be very polite and straightforward with responses. This type of behavior is why many call him a robot. He has appeared on Weekly Idol, Lipstick Prince, Hit The Stage, Law of the Jungle, as well as Running Man!
Shownu is a very good dancer, he was a back up dancer to Lee Hyori, during his apperance on Hit The Stage he placed 3rd during the finale. He does enjoy dancing more than working out.
He has also released a solo track in 2012, Now I Know apart of the Protect the Boss OST.
Wonho | Position : Vocalist, Visual and Heartbreaker
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Rabbit
Wonho is more than likely the most recognizable member of catching the attention of many people with his looks. Wonho exudes lots of charm and sexiness on stage, often showing his abs or doing one of those side smirk things. He is the second oldest member of Monsta X and was going to be the leader until the position was given to Shownu.
Without a doubt I can say he is the member who mentions the fans, monbebe , the most. He will honestly find some kind of way to bring the fans up and say some kind words to them which is really cute. He is constantly trying to improve himself to not let the fans down. He does get very emotional if he feels like he has failed monbebe, like during music shows. He does like to be reassured he is doing well and is making the fans happy.
He loves Ramyun probably as much as he loves monbebe honestly.
Wonho really found it important to debut not just to become an idol but to help out his mother financially. Before their debut, his mother was bankrupt and he blames himself because of all the money she spent on him( I am assuming during his Ulzzang days). Though things did turn around because he was able to help her open up a cafe,MOMOCAFE. Wonho often visits and writes the menu himself or draws pictures on the sign but also many other idols stop by and leave signed albums there too.
He composed a song for the fans titled How about u? (its not officially released yet but its on YT)
Minhyuk | Position: Vocalist ,Visual and Vitamin/Sunshine/Moodmaker
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Puppy
Minhyuk is Monsta X’s mood maker, the sunshine, the vitaMIN. In all sincerity this group would probably look to serious if he wasn’t there.  He does enjoy his ability to make the other members as well as the fans happy. Though he does want people to take note that he can’t be this happy and excited all the time that he is like everyone else and can get down or be in a neutral state as well.
He is extra, like extra loud, extra hyper just extra. His reactions to things says it all from screaming over food to drop kicking Kihyun on the beach during their reality show, Right Now!
Minhyuk is seems to be the most open member, sometimes getting him scolded by the others. He has mentioned his interest in wanting the group to be apart of a nude photoshoot, like Shinhwa. Also during Monsta X-Ray, he revealed his interest in wanting kids, soon after finding out that they would be going to a day care center.
His vocals are deeply underappreciated, he deserves more lines.
Kihyun | Position: Main Vocalist ,Visual, Mother & Shortest
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Hamster
Kihyun the main vocalist of Monsta X, The Mom, The Short housekeeper. Okay So if you have never heard Kihyun sing before I recommend you do it will show why he was made main vocalist, he has such an emotional voice its really nice. 10/10 recommend his Hyeya cover its so good.
Kihyun is someone who likes to get things done and he does have a temper but its never like explosive or aggressive. He just complains and nags alot. But even when he is annoyed by the other members he will still take care of them by cooking for them and cleaning the dorm.
Whenever he does or says anything remotely cute he will cringe like that is cute imo. He will legit cringe at himself for being cute. Don’t tell him he’s cute he has a slight eg
Hyungwon | Vocalist, Visual and Sleeping Beauty
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Turtle
Hyungwon is also known as Memewon because of well, everything he does. He is the tallest member of Monsta X and is also a model (technically they all are but he was a model prior to joining ). Hyungwon is described by his members as having a tsundere personality, cold on the outside warm on the inside. He also has a pretty 4D personality with his behavior bouncing everywhere from being a charismatic model to a frog to a praying mantis. Trust me what I just said makes sense.
He is the member in the group who does get the least amount of lines  which does upset lots of fans but when you do hear him it feels like a gift has been given to you. If you would like to hear him check out Interstellar which is a song from their predebut show No.Mercy ft members Jooheon and I.M.
Hyungwon is very good dancer , he believes he is a much better dancer than vocalist. He has released a video of him dancing to choreography that he created with members Wonho and Shownu onto twitter before.
He sleeps alot. Like alot. He has stated that he slept 29 hours straight before. He is also the member who has the most difficulty waking up.
He is the member who speaks Mandarin the best.
Jooheon | Rapper, Visual, Vocalist and the Baby
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Bee
When describing Jooheon  there are a few things that come to mind. Intense rapper, extreme aegyo, deep dimples and scared easily.
Jooheon is Monsta X’s lead rapper who has made several appearances on his own on program such as Weekly Idol and Hip Hop Nation as a producer. He is recognized as having one of the cringiest styles of aegyo , which he has retired for now sadly.
His talents as a rapper and lyricist are well recognized by many artist. He on and off stage persona may be a surprise to many at first because of of how different they are, with him performing as a tough and fierce rapper on stage and off stage a soft child who’s eyes disappear when he smiles.
Noticed by many fans Jooheon enjoys being praised for his work and will take criticism to mind all the time, thus when he receives very negative words it does affect him greatly.
He has released 2 mixtapes as of now first being Jung Ji and the second Out Of Control (Not Completely Out Yet).
He is currently learning English
I.M/Changkyun | Maknae, Rapper, Visual,Vocalist and 12D
Tumblr media
Official Animal Onsie/Counterpart : Wolf / Brown Dog
Stage name I.M but many fans call him by his birth name Changkyun. I.M has a very odd personality, which is why he decided to call himself 12D. He first seems to be a very shy person never standing to far from his hyungs. But once he is let free his more interesting side shows , he will do weird dances, make weird noises or some interesting jokes. I.M like many maknaes tease his older hyungs, be it biting Shownu( on several occasions) or teasing Kihyun because of his height.
During their survival show, No.Mercy , I.M entered late , during episode 8, which caused many of the contestants to be a bit hostile towards him, even current members stating how they did not like him for joining with an unfair advantage. Though they did warm up to him eventually when realizing he had the same dream of debuting as they did.
I.M is rap style is more calm and smooth which counterbalances Jooheon’s rapping style because of his deep voice which honestly sounds like some type of ASMR. You will also notice he looks to his left a lot as well as touches his face when raps.
He has released two mixtapes Who Am I and Madeleine
He is also fluent in English because of his time living abroad as a child, though he does admit he is forgetting because he does not speak English often.
