When you want to write Maps as Robin in your future fic but you constantly have to remember yourself she's around Damian's age and in a future au would be an adult around the time Tim and Cass take over...
God I hate timelines, can I just trap her in forever 15 like dc is doing with Tim ?

Yours is also amazing! I'm a huge sucker for universes where Tim and Damian are aware of each other through League of Assassins connections. I'm also having this mental image of little bitty Timmy and the Wanderer, who's put gloves on before talking to this tiny kiddo, and she tells him that his parents aren't going to be around anymore. "Oh," he says. Blinks at her, big blue-gray eyes, and tilts his little head. "What happens to me now?"
Oh, he's good at this. "You're coming with me," the Wanderer says, holding out a gloved hand. "I'll take very good care of you, my dear. Would you like a snack for the flight?"
In this cellar spider type world, I'm picturing Tim being a shadow operative of sorts. Bruce knows this person exists; he's well aware of the many corrupt businessmen who've turned up dead after a landslide of occurrences that brought their lives tumbling down. Most of the coroners' reports ruled the deaths as suicides. Bruce isn't sure he believes that. Whoever triggered these events is good, covers their tracks well, but these landslides are starting to shape up to be a modus operandi and Bruce is a detective, after all. It's not enough to form a criminal profile - not yet, anyway - but it's enough to raise his suspicions.
If this is also a world where Jack and Janet died much earlier on, then Tim is not in any way positioned over Drake Industries. He's a minor, after all, and so there are people in place to run the company while he ages into adulthood under a legal guardian's care. But at the point where I'm envisioning this version of events picking up, Tim is at least 16, possibly 17 going on 18, and he's being groomed to enter the high society world of Gotham City and beyond. He's sort of a debutant in that way. He's not old enough or powerful enough under his own name to make any alliances or influence anything. He's just being introduced to high society at this point. Bruce meets Tim outside Gotham City, maybe at a LuthorCorp event in Metropolis, and Tim seems congenial and reserved, if disinterested in the event generally. Almost shy, when Bruce thinks about it - hanging around toward the back of the room, nervous if approached by several people at once, prone to stuttering and tripping over his words if his brain moves faster than his mouth can keep up with. Nice kid, though.
Tim is cooking up some plans for Gotham and Metropolis. He can't do that if he gets himself taken out by the League of Assassins. Ra's al Ghul is a perpetual thorn in Batman's side. The LoA has far outlived its usefulness to humanity. It would be nice to kill a few birds with one stone.
"Red Hood!Tim" this and "Red Hood!Tim" that–
WHAT ABOUT COUNCIL OF SPIDERS!TIM, HUH !?!? YOU EVER THINK ABOUT THAT ?!?!?!? I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM I CAN'T SLEEP !!!
I might not have a solid origin story, but bat-eating and bird-eating spiders are real, he'd totally eat that concept, there's not enough good evil tims after LoA!Tim and JJ!Tim on here, and he would absolutely devour a spider-themed villain moment >:((
#also please message me if you wanna chatter about this further!!!#i love love love talking to people#tim drake#council of spiders#red robin
