[not-so-superheroine]

my Community if Christ/Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Black history article is out. will be posting soon :)

i was so nervous about it, but now that it's out, i think it's fine and that i did well. which is a relief. i was concerned about coming across as inflammatory, but it doesn't read like that, and the article made it past the FP and church historians. they wouldn't leave me out to dry. neither would the Diversity team.

a brother i really respect, who's like 80, really liked it. and he is a history buff. (he's also the one that consistently asks me about Black culture and my experience as an African American in the Church)

the Apostle/GA for my area sent me an email, and he appreciated it, too.

i think i honored the people i featured, and talked about the challenging parts (racism on behalf of the church mainly) with love and grace while also being raw, honest, and true to the experiences of historical Black church members. as well as my own experience, which is also included.

i hope reading it builds faith in God and in Zion, educates, and illuminates. i really focused on building up Zion together, as equals, with every willing hand.
