(Based directly on the frankly outstanding fanfic Breaking The Cycle, which a close, old friend of mine wrote based on our shared headcanons years ago. This is also the fic that the entire askblog I'm making for the Sand Fam is based on, backstory-wise, and remains my favourite fanfic of all time. I would highly recommend even if, like me, you don't care for the Boruto series canon but want a more family-oriented fic. I still recommend it to people who haven't watched Naruto, and they've ended up loving it! <3)
