Book Store Crush

Created for @the-slumberparty’s December Daze challenge

Imagine crushing on Layla, the owner of the local bookstore in your hometown. Every time you entered the bookstore, you always found her reading a new release while munching on marshmallows. She eventually noticed how often you visited the bookstore, so she’d start giving you discounts on books you’d buy. Then, she’d eventually start lending her some of her personal copies to you, trusting you’d return them once you finished them.

One day, after finishing one of her books, you ran to the bookstore, excited to share your thoughts with Layla. Only to find that there was a line out the door due to the release of a newly hyped Christmas novel. Once you finally wedged your way inside, Layla looked swamped trying to control the crowd. You jumped in to help Layla, in which she asked you out to show her gratitude, while also interested in hearing your thoughts on the book you finished.

The date took place in the bookstore after hours. Layla made hot cocoa for the two of you and shared an entire bag of marshmallows. You and Layla spent the whole night going through every chapter of the book, sharing your separate notes on the characters, plot points, dialogue, and subtle symbols in the story. By the end of the night, you and Layla were already planning your next book date.

Ngl, upon writing this, I realized how cute of a story this would be and it sparked more ideas that I’d like to expand on. If this gets yall interested, I’ll definitely write more on it :)

bought a 2nd ikea alien, called it Ace (pictured here with my 1st alien Mick. don't worry, Mick will get a skull print t-shirt to wear eventually)

made a name necklace and knit a cute silvery grey sweater

What an opportunity to update my old ranking, something I didn't have motivation to do until recently.

It is precisely a song ranking: neither MV nor plot relevance were taken into account, only what I personally like to listen to. Template

I spent a lot of time on #8-18, but deciding who's favourite was so easy. After all days ended up being my #1. I think it's the only song I never skip; it's enjoyable from the first second to the last, and there's nothing that needs to be added. days has everything I could ever ask from ED anisong. A lightning in a bottle that will probably never be replicated since some of its creators are no longer alive.
