Mindful Living: Health Hacks for a Happy Body
In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to neglect the health of our bodies. We often find ourselves caught up in the chaos, forgetting that true well-being comes from a harmonious balance of mind and body. Adopting a mindful approach to living can be a game-changer, paving the way for a happier, healthier life. In this blog post, we'll explore some simple yet effective health hacks that can transform the way you live and feel. Let's embark on a journey towards mindful living for a happy body!
The Power of Mindful Eating:
Our relationship with food goes beyond mere sustenance; it's a connection to our well-being. Mindful eating involves savoring each bite, paying attention to the flavors and textures. Slow down and listen to your body's hunger and fullness cues. Avoid distractions like screens while eating, allowing yourself to fully engage with your meal. This practice not only fosters a healthier relationship with food but also aids in digestion.
Stay Hydrated, Stay Happy:
Water is the elixir of life. Proper hydration is crucial for maintaining bodily functions, promoting clear skin, and boosting energy levels. Make it a habit to carry a reusable water bottle with you, ensuring you drink enough water throughout the day. Infuse your water with slices of citrus fruits or mint for a refreshing twist. Hydrating mindfully will keep your body functioning at its best.
Prioritize Quality Sleep:
The importance of a good night's sleep cannot be overstated. Quality sleep is vital for physical and mental well-being. Create a relaxing bedtime routine, limit screen time before sleep, and ensure your bedroom is conducive to rest. Investing in a comfortable mattress and pillows can make a significant difference. Adequate sleep rejuvenates the body, enhances cognitive function, and contributes to overall happiness.
Incorporate Regular Exercise:
Exercise is a cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle. Find an activity you enjoy, whether it's walking, dancing, yoga, or weightlifting. Regular exercise not only improves physical fitness but also releases endorphins, the body's natural mood lifters. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. Remember, it's not about perfection but consistency.
Mindful Stress Management:
In our fast-paced lives, stress is inevitable. However, it's essential to manage stress mindfully. Incorporate stress-relieving practices such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or spending time in nature. These activities can help calm the mind, reduce cortisol levels, and improve overall mental well-being. Remember, taking a few moments for yourself can have a profound impact on your stress levels.
Embrace Nature and Sunlight:
Connecting with nature is a powerful way to promote well-being. Spend time outdoors, whether it's a walk in the park, a hike, or simply sitting in your backyard. Sunlight is a natural source of vitamin D, essential for bone health and mood regulation. Just 15-20 minutes of sunlight exposure a few times a week can make a significant difference.
Mindful Breathing Techniques:
Conscious breathing is a fundamental aspect of mindfulness. Take a few minutes each day to practice deep, mindful breathing. Inhale slowly, filling your lungs with air, and exhale completely, releasing tension. This simple practice can be done anywhere, offering immediate relaxation and promoting a sense of calm.
Connect with Others:
Human connections play a vital role in our well-being. Foster meaningful relationships with friends, family, and community. Share your thoughts and feelings, and be open to listening to others. Social support is a powerful buffer against stress and can contribute to a happier, more fulfilling life.
Explore Holistic Wellness Practices:
Consider incorporating holistic wellness practices into your routine. One intriguing approach is the use of [bovine glandulars], which are natural supplements derived from animal glands. These supplements may support various bodily functions, including hormonal balance and immune system health. As with any supplement, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before incorporating them into your routine.
Cultivate a Positive Mindset:
Mindful living involves cultivating a positive mindset. Practice gratitude daily by reflecting on the things you're thankful for. Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with positive affirmations. A positive mindset not only enhances your overall outlook on life but also contributes to better mental and physical health.
Conclusion:
Mindful living is not a one-size-fits-all approach; it's a journey of self-discovery and continuous improvement. By incorporating these health hacks into your daily routine, you'll be taking significant steps towards a happier, healthier life. Remember, the key is consistency and a commitment to nurturing both your mind and body. Embrace the beauty of mindful living, and watch as it transforms your well-being from the inside out.

What is a mattress lifter?
A mattress lifter is a useful device made to make moving and lifting a big, heavy mattress simpler. You can raise and transport the mattress with ease thanks to its handle or grip and hook-like mechanism, which firmly grabs the mattress. When it comes time to rotate, clean, or change your bedding, this tool comes in especially handy. You may find a variety of solutions in the online furniture store of Royaloak if you require a mattress lifter or other bedroom furniture and accessories.

I wasn't sure if I had anything that might fit, but then a quick tour of my WIP folder reminded me of this. Just a little stand alone scene that I don't think I will ever turn into anything bigger.
Scott, very groggy from either injury or medication, in the lounge, surrounded by brothers because he’s been having trouble sleeping when not surrounded by brothers (because the nightmares attack when he’s alone). His eyes are closed, his brothers are being loud – or at least not trying to be quiet (which is different). He’s on the couch, Virgil’s chest and shoulder acting as mattress and pillow, held in place by a comforting, heavy-lifter’s arm, and John’s lap is supporting one leg, while the other dangles off the front of the couch – he was sitting between them, but has slewed sideways. They all think he’s asleep, and maybe he is, when one of the young ‘uns asks “John, were you even listening?”
Without opening his eyes, Scott’s hand darts out and grabs John’s wrist. “John always listens,” he utters with a lazy, slurred quality to his voice.
“Yes, he does,” Virgil replies with a reassuring, but gentle squeeze for his big brother.
“Even when it hurts.”
The additional comment is met by silence and looks of confusion from the younger boys, and a meeting of gazes over the top of Scott’s head that seem to carry their own conversation.
“Virgil knows.” Scott’s final comment is little more than a sleepy whisper.
“Yes, he does,” is John’s solemn reply.
I WANNA DRAW THE BOIS
@ Thundebirds peeps: send me an excerpt of something you're writing, and I'll do you a quick fan art for it. Bonus points if it's got Soft!Bros or hurt/comfort bc you all know that's my jam extra bonus points if I don't have to draw their uniforms but I will if i have to XD

ok hopefully i cover enough but i’m also an idiot so here’s what this british bitch took when moving into a house with students that wasn’t completely obvious (it was shared but i acted like it wasn’t)
Bedroom
bedding (sheets, pillows, mattress protector, mattress topper if you want to be fancy) and at least 2 sets, you can also get double bedding if you have a single bed for a bigger duvet cover but not needed
a blanket or bathmat for a hard floor so my feet weren’t cold in the mornings when the heating wasn’t on bc it was expensive
dressing gown (bath robe) was a lifesaver in the cold, same for slippers
if you can, take stuff to use as storage under the bed, use any and all available space you can
Bathroom
something to keep your toiletries in, so a pot for toothbrush and toothpaste, or a hanger for shower stuff, either for easy of access or to help keep it separate from other people
toilet roll, always forgotten at first but you won’t have any and you don’t want to be stuck without
bring or buy bleach, trust me it will be needed (even if it’s just you)
you can get hooks that have sticky suction cups that are amazing for hanging towels in the bathroom. idk where i got mine from but they are the kind that have to be removed using a credit card (but not like actually sticky) but don't stick them to paint
hand soap
an air freshener
there's stuff called V I Poo (yes im serious) that you spray before you have a shit and it helps stop the smell and it does actually work
Kitchen
don’t go overboard on pots and pans, you do to need a full ikea set of 5 pans, 3 baking trays, and a wok. it is dependant on what you will be eating but as someone who made rice and pasta, along with frying stuff, take a small and medium saucepan, a medium baking tray, and a frying pan. YOU DO NOT NEED A WOK (i got a wok bc it was funny and i haven’t used it at all over 2 years)
take at least 2 of each crockery, so plates, bowls, mugs, glasses. if it breaks you'll need a spare and you then have an extra one if anyone comes over for food
take 4 of each cutlery. you will lose a fork at some point. that fork will be in the nether regions.
do not take wooden spoons, they go mouldy super easily, use a nice plastic one instead. a solid plastic spoon and a fish slice (a lifter idfk i call it a fish slice) and NEVER use a metal spoon on a pan especially if you have non-stick
i’d recommend a plastic bowl for in the sink for doing the washing up. it will allow for any food bits to not get into the drain and you can then tip them into the bin
a scrub daddy, it’s so much better than a sponge
not really something to bring but tin foil for in a baking tray. if you put tin foil on the tray (shiny side down) and then what every you are cooking, the grease ad oil stay off the tray and you don’t need to wash it. massive time and effort saver and you won’t have gross dirty looking trays with baked on burnt stuff
a drying rack for next to the sink is useful but honestly just wash and dry your dishes at the same time, right after you have eaten, and then put them away. keeps the kitchen super tidy and develops that habit
tea towels work to get stuff out the oven, you do not need an over glove
kitchen roll
hand soap for the kitchen sink
Other stuff/advice
don't go overboard on decor, you can always bring more the next time you go home and its much better to have a room that is a little sparse than one that is wall to wall with stuff and you barely have room for everything
the first couple of months are for you to really figure out what you need and what you don’t. it is probably better t be over prepared but it causes space issues, so if you do go with a lot, be prepared to take it away when you don’t need it. and if you are sharing space, everyone will have like 5 pans and 20 forks so if you get along, you can always borrow (always ask first, one of the bitches i lived with used my baking tray and got it dirty
if you are sharing with people, have a conversation at the start about boundaries and other useful stuff. are it from someone that has shared a house/apartment with people before, close the toilet seat lid, have a bin rota, only clean your dishes to stop bad habits forming
anyway, hopefully some of that helps, probably won't bc again, im an idiot and so its probably just stuff i would forget about
i am here for any other questions about any university stuff from anyone <3
my qualifications are 2 years of uni before leaving bc the people and teaching was shit and now im starting 1st year of a different degree again :D
dude i am so late to the party because i still haven't full rapped my head around the fact that i got my first choice in UL, but now i gotta pack my shit to like into accomidation
i just have no idea what the fuck to pack at all, all of the advice is for people living in like student flats but i'm in diggs and have no idea what to bring for the house
#trust me I've been there before#i promise i know what im doing#i can translate the british if needed

Julie falling asleep on reader while watching movie 🥹🥹🥹
awh that would be so sweet!
characters: Julie Ranmore x fem!reader
run down: you are having a movie night with Julie, she is a little clingy and falls asleep on you
warnings: no warnings, fluff
word count: 1,4k+
request status: closed
Your body fell onto the huge bed on the hotel room you just entered and you didn´t really care about anything. Your face was hidden in the soft white pillow and you breathed out heavily, hearing the doors close.
“Hb dd you knob thib room was ebty?” you asked from Julie when you knew that she was inside of the room. Then you rolled over on the covers and looked at the almost manager of the hotel.
“I saw the keys on the reception,” she explained to you and she took off her blazer, throwing it onto the chair which was by the table in the corner of the room.
“And what are we going to do here?” You asked her as you were watching her hands working on the buttons of her skirt. She let it fall onto the ground and stepped out of it, looking at the black fabric laying on the floor.
Julie stayed only in her thighs and in her purple shirt. She placed her knee onto the bed where you were laying and climbed up to you, letting her body fall onto the mattress. You moved a little aside to make her more space until she didn´t get really comfortable and then you moved back to her, leaning your cheek on her shoulder.
“We will watch a romantic film hm?” Julie asked and you lifted your eyebrow, looking at her.
“Are you sure about this?”
“Why wouldn´t I be?” She asked you back and reached her hand out onto the bedside table. You used the opportunity and moved upper on the bed, knowing what Julie needed when you were watching romantic films. You leant your back on the headrest and waited for Julie to get back to you.
As she turned back to you, you realized that she was holding some little snack. It was a little chocolate stick and you smiled at her as you were watching her opening her own sweet. The corners of your mouth lifter as she bit onto the sweet and then you took the TV remote into your hand, trying to find some film. You connected the TV to the internet pretty quickly and then ran through the suggestions.
“Which one?” You asked and Julie nodded her head to the right.
“That one,” she also pointed out her finger and you had to smile. You started the movie and placed the TV remote besides you from the other side, since Julie was laying on your left, not thinking about moving away from you at all.
Both of you were watching the movie and you looked at Julie from time to time. She was still chewing on the sweet and you leant closer to her with your face, looking at her face.
Julie understood what did you want and she frowned a little, but placed the sweet to your lips. You smiled at her even more than you have been smiling at her before and you took a bite.
Sticky caramel covered your teeth and you decided to not take any other bite from Julie. She was sharing the idea because she turned to the screen again and she continued in watching the film.
“Julie?” You whispered without looking at her and when no response came, you softly moved her shoudler. “Julie?”
“Yeah?”
“Did we lock the door and put the label do not disturb on?” You asked her, whispering.
“Yes I think so,” Julie whispered back and then she frowned. “But maybe I should go and check because if Hugh finds out...” she rolled her eyes and you lifted your upper body to allow her to go.
Julie smoothly got out of the bed and you adjusted the covers while she was walking to the doors. You got under them and when you heard the doors open, you were already waiting for Jullie.
You reached your neck out and you could see her in the room. She was really quietly locking the doors and you adjusted the covers for her. When Julie saw it, she smiled at you really sweetly and tried to walk over to you and the bed as quietly as it was possible.
She slid under the covers you held in the air for her and then you coveres her. Julie leant her body on you this time and she rested her head on your breasts, watching the movie.
“Are you tired?” You asked her, looking down at the brown haired woman. She just nodded a little and you raised your hand and brought it to her hair. You took one part of it and started to play with her hair, while Julie was watching the movie.
You were thinking about making her a little braid. You adjusted her hair so it was all free and she wasn´t laying on it. Checking on her face if she was okay with it, you didn´t find any sign of that she wouldn´t be.
Softly doing her hair, you had your eyes on the screen. The movements were mechanical, you didn´t need to look down which part was supposed to be on the left, on the right or in the middle.
“Oh no,” Julie gasped and covered her mouth with her palm. You looked down at her, confused and then you leant closer to her.
“What happened?” You asked her and Julie jawned.
“They are going to break up...” she whispered and couldn´t take her eyes off the screen. You just shook your head, being lucky because Julie didn´t see it.
Once you were done with her hair and you were sure it was all okay, you reached out your hand. Right in front of Julie. At first, she moved a little away from your hand and you didn´t understand why. You leant closer to her to look her into her face and you realized that her eyes were pinned on the film.
“Julie-”
“Shh!” She whispered and you rolled your eyes.
“I need your hair band,” you whispered and watched Julie´s hands moving. She took the hairband off her wrist and she handed it behind herself, to you. You took it from her and staying quiet you put it in her hair, making sure it wouldn´t fall off.
Julie rested her body on yours and you hugged her tightly. Watching the film together, you realized that Julie couldn´t stay still and she kept moving.
“Julie can you stop please?” You whispered to her and Julie turned into a more comfortable position.
“I am sorry.”
“It is okay,” you whispered to her and kissed her into her hair. Julie kept watching the movie and you could feel how she was breathing. Her chest was raising and falling slower and slower every time you looked at her. Once, when she stopped moving at all, you swallowed and then took a deeper breath.
You leant closer to her to be able to look into her face. As you saw her nose, you smiled to yourself and breathed out quietly, because you didn´t want to wake Julie up.
She was laying on you, asleep. You were really carefully breathing and your lips widened into a smile. The only woman you were happy with and the only woman you cared for, fell asleep in your arms, or to be exact, on your chest while watching a movie. You couldn´t stop smiling and you closed your eyes for a second, enjoying the moment.
You really carefully reached your hand out for the TV remote and kept checking if Julie wasn´t waking up. Your eyes were still on the woman and once you were holding the remote in your hand, you got back into the same position, searching for the red button on the remote.
Your thumb found it quickly and you really carefully turned the TV off. Your mind was full of hope that Julie wouldn´t notice the sudden silence and she wouldn´t wake up. You stayed in silence and waited if she would react somehow or not.
When the reaction didn´t come, you smiled for yourself and you realized that your eyes were also pretty heavy. You let them close for few seconds and then you opened them again to take a deeper breath.
“Good night Julie. I love you,” you whispered to her simply and in that second you appeared in front of a huge golden gate, which opened for you and welcomed you in your fantasy world.

Kuka pelkää pimeää? - Kaapo Kakko
A/N: I hope you will enjoy the reading as much as I enjoyed the writing. A big thank you goes to everyone who has supported me. Here on tumblr I’d like to thank @nhlandotherimagines personally. Thank you Jessie.
Kuka pelkää pimeää? - Who is afraid of the dark?
The song mentioned.
Word count: 1764
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having a relationship with a hockey player can get hard at times. It can get even worse if both sides of the relationship are working for a professional hockey team. Boy, can it get even worse if those teams happen to be the division rivals in the NHL.
The whole situation was tense as it was before the corona decided to lock me up with my boyfriend at our shared apartment in New York. Between his crazy schedule and mine, just as chaotic one, it is very difficult to find some peaceful time for one another.
Having just returned from a roadie, which was successful taking 4 out of 6 points, I close the door behind me as quietly as possible. It’s already late and Kaapo leaves for a couple of away games of his own tomorrow morning. Which doesn’t give us much time to spend together, but at least we can sleep in the same bed for once.
I change sleepily and get ready for bed trying to not make too much noise. After dragging myself out of the bathroom I slip under the covers right next to the sleeping body of my boyfriend. He stirs in his sleep, slowly turning around so he is facing me.
“Hei. How was your flight?“ His soft mumbling is barely audible and his hands reach out wrapping around my waist. His fingers slipping under the fabric of my T-shirt.
“It was okay. Guys were pain in the ass as usual.“ I laugh nuzzling my head into his chest rumbling with laughter. “But I am damn tired.“ I add a yawn for demonstration.
A chuckle leaves his pretty lips as his big hands caress my bare back. “Then sleep.” He advises, voice laced with sleep I unintentionally woke him from. I hum in response closing my eyes. I relax into the soft mattress listening to the even breathing of my beloved one.
//
Lying in bed I try to drift off to dream, but fail terribly. Again. Decided I’ve had enough I reach for my phone and turn it back on. Throwing the covers off of me I sit up and rub my face, annoyed at my inability to fall asleep despite being tired. I reach for my wireless headphones and put them on pairing them with my phone. I put on a rather calming playlist and click on the flashlight icon.
Tiptoeingly I leave the room making sure to close the door behind me and head for the living room. I turn on the light hanging above the kitchen island and grab a glass filling it with water to the very brim. I chug down almost half of its content and set the rest on the marble surface.
I walk over to an armchair and push it to the floor to ceiling window. I stop and cringe slightly when it makes a disturbing noise. I throw myself on it with a heavy sigh escaping my lips. Closing my eyes I take a deep breath. I focus on the music reaching my ears. The gentle tones infecting my brain trying to get it to loosen up.
I open my eyes taking a look at the city below. It never sleeps. No matter the crazy hour there’s always someone driving the busy roads. It’s as if the dark sky was outstretching its arms and reaching for people in an attempt to put them to sleep. Humans, ever the persistent creatures, are escaping its hold with cars lighting up the roads and apartments with yellow light seeping through the glass and blinds.
I hate the dark. In fact it terrifies me. I bring my knees under my chin and hug my legs close to my body. The unknown danger hiding in the shadows scares me. I no longer check under my bed for monsters. I don’t need to. They are in the streets, we meet them daily, although we don’t realize. But walking home alone in the dark makes my blood run cold at times. I can’t stand it, no matter how old I am.
Finnish songs from my playlist come up and I smile. They always remind me of Kaapo. An instant mood lifter. One song catches my attention. Kuka pelkää pimeää from Herrat. How fitting, eh? It's about two people being the only ones wide awake at a late night hour. The sleeping city and stars shining above it, but them not being afraid of the dark. I wish. I think bitterly.
I sing along quietly, imagining driving around the city with Kaapo. With no destination in mind, just driving. Probably listening to our favorite songs and messing up the lyrics, especially me making up new Finnish words and him laughing at and with me. He rarely smiles, but when he does it’s so worth it. He saves it for the good moments. With him I would drive even at the darkest of the nights.
A happy sigh escapes my lips as another of the songs I keep deep within my heart comes up. I look around the apartment, the only source of light being the one I left on at the kitchen island.
A figure standing in the living room doorway catches my attention and I shriek. Pulling my headphones down I reach for my phone, panicking. The person steps into the light and I release a breath I forgot I was holding in the rush of it all.
"Jesus fucking Christ. Are you insane?" I almost yell with a trembling voice. I add a couple more swear words, mumbling them under my breath and in a language my boyfriend speaks ever so fluently.
"I-I am sorry. I didn't want to scare you." Kaapo apologizes, the tips of his ears turning red. Coming up to me I stand up and he wraps his arms around my shaking figure. "I am sorry." He whispers in his native language.
"You scared the hell out of me." I whine placing my head on his firm chest. He just holds me closer and rubs my back soothingly. "What were you even doing standing in the shadow like that?"
"You weren't in bed." His voice is laced with concern, his accent heavy.
"Couldn't sleep." I say in Finnish. My knowledge of that language is not great, but I like it and it makes him more comfortable. It makes our talks more private. More intimate. "I am sorry, I woke you. You should sleep. You have a flight in the morning."
"And you just came back. You are tired too. Come back to bed." He tries to reason with me.
"But I can't sleep." Arguing back I shake my head in his chest.
"And if I help you sleep?"
"How?" Lifting my head I look into his blue eyes.
"Trust me?" Brushing a strand of hair behind my ear his fingers brush my cheek gently.
"Kyllä." I breathe and nod.
Taking me by the hand he walks to the island turning the lights off. The moment it goes dark my heart rate picks up. "Kaapo." He squeezes my palm reassuringly.
"I am right here with you." He pulls me to his chest. Taking me by my thighs he lifts me up. My limbs instantly wrap around him and I burry my face in his neck. "It's alright." Turning his head he kisses my hair and starts walking back to our bedroom.
Flicking on the bedside lamp he sets me on the mattress. He then turns around opening the wardrobe and shuffling around for something. I take off the headphones from around my neck and put them on the bedside table. Tilting my head I watch him, but remain quiet, more than interested in what he is up to. Pulling out a small box he sets it on the ground pluging it in.
He looks up at me with a soft smile. I remember the box! I gave it to him on his birthday. He turns the lamp off and then presses a button on the box. The dark room lights up with many little white starts and green and blue clouds moving like Aurora Borealis. My heart bursts with so much love at this moment.
It's a star projector I gifted him because he missed Finland so much and I thought that seeing the stars would remind him of home. It did. He was so happy he couldn’t stop smiling. I was never more proud of myself as back then for picking the right gift. That is actually how I found out about his interest in the stars.
He climbs onto the bed laying down on his back. Reaching for me he pulls me to his side. He takes the duvet pulling it on top of us. I place my head on his shoulder and his warm palms settle on my waist. “Can you point the Polaris?” He whispers into my hair.
“Of course. It’s uh-“ I let my eyes wander across the ceiling. “There. Pohjantähti.“ I point to a star. “On the right from the light.“ I explain excitedly. “It is part of Big dipper which is uh- Otava in Finnish!“ I look up at him to see if I remembered right.
“Very good.“ He smiles squeezing my hip. “And that,“ he points up, “is Iso karhu. The big bear?“ He questions the last part, unsure of the English translation.
“The great bear. Yes.“ I giggle. “But there is one star missing, no?“ If I recall correctly there should be a mistake in the image. I mean, when we turned it on for the first time Kaapo pointed out the absence of one star.
“Yes, Mizar is not there.“ He confirms. “I still can’t understand how they forgot Mizar when Alcor is right there. Mizar even shines brighter than Alcor!“ He shakes his head. I smile at his passion and the unintentional English thrown into the mix.
“Minä rakastan sinua.“ I whisper filling the silence that settled between us.
“I love you too.“ He mumbles the cute way he always does.
We continue lying in our bed talking about stars we miss so much. I feel my eyelids grow heavy and slowly the stars fade from my view. I feel a shift on the bed and decide to protest. “Don’t leave.”
“I am just going to turn it off.“ He whispers and suddenly his warmth is gone. I pout sleepily reaching my arms out grabbing onto the empty air. I hear a click and feel the bed dip. Then his arms wrap around me and a content smile takes over my face. “Hyvää yöta.“

Wynne's Diary - Touch with Asra
@sweetalnazar
We were clearing out the shop today. Boxes filled with piles of aged magical books, masquerade masks and other important miscellaneous items were stuffed into the crates. Our home was full of countless varied and unique things you can ever imagine or guess of that we needed a separate day to sort the stuff out to what we might need in the future and keep it inside the shop, and then to things that we would not need unless for emergency purposes, which would rightfully be organised in the storehouse we had.
Me and my husband were raiding our shop, basically. Because one, it seemed like a detailed mission, and two, we were extremely tired and filthy from the dust the shop had amassed over time. We accidentally even demolished some of the spider's home webs while brushing so we had to carefully pick the spiders out and leave them outside on the lawn.
Poor arachnids.....they were so adorable and cute. I hope they find a better home soon. Though forming a web was never an easy job.
And so wasn't the task of clearing out such a relatively huge shop and stacking all the articles without damaging even a tinge of any material.
"Wynne, can you help me with this one?" My husband called me from inside the repository. His voice echoed through the walls of the room and reached my ears as a dusted my hands onto my apron and entered the dark room lit just by an orb of esoteric blue fire above.
"Is this the last one to be moved?" I placed my hands on my hips. Asra was crouched near the box as he rubbed his cheek to wipe out the dust and faced me, he had sweat on his brows and he looked pretty exhausted because......
We both had been working for hours. We started somewhere around midday and it's nightfall now.
"Yes...After this one, we can finally rest. I feel very thirsty and I could definitely use some of your lemonade" he huffed and ran his hand through his velvety white hair.
"Lemonade huh....sure. Let's get this over with" I took off the rubber band on my hair and retied it on into a small tail so that my hair doesn't impede much. I squatted down, and got hold of the edge of the box and gradually started to lift it with every strength I had.
Asra supported the other side of the box, and we both coordinated our steps to move the load together outside the storage room. I was not a lifter, and neither was Asra. We could have called Muriel over to help, but he was lying sick on the bed with Portia and Julian both aiding the giant man. So we agreed to not bother him and take the matters to our own ourselves.
It was our mart anyway, so we had to.
"Almost there!" Asra notified. I nodded and pulled in the air to exert the energy left in my arms. I walked patiently back, keeping a watch out to not bump with the other items on the floor and trip on my heel. Asra cautiously followed me, he rasped a bit and used his momentum to get a better grip of the end.
He knew that I was not much physically substantial, so he made sure to not let me take the heavier weight, but watching him take all the burden over himself just like how he always was, made me feel immensely culpable.
Asra was always like this. Votive, generous, selfless. These were very good traits in him, no doubt in that. But sometimes, he overdoes it, and that was not at all acceptable by me. He from time to time needs to know that his own self is as significant as everyone else he cared about. He needs to realize that at the end of the world, he would only have himself with him, and he better give a fuck about it sooner than repent it at later moments.
But.....I was not in the right niche to teach him such a lesson.
Because I wouldn't be the educator of this topic, I would be a student since there was hardly any difference in both of our sentiment towards our loved ones.
Votive, generous, selfless......
We both were a bunch of crackheads.
"Oof! Finally, everything is done. The shop barely changed, but at least it holds less weight than previously" Asra slumped onto the couch and caught his breath, his chest rhythmically rising and sinking with the teal pendant on his bosom.
Faust and Ichigo weren't home today. They both had gone to take a stroll around Vesuvia as we toiled. We didn't worry about both of them too much since they were proper grown-ups and can handle themselves faultlessly, unlike us both who can't even watch out for cobwebs and prevent ourselves to mercilessly annihilate them.
I still feel sad about them.......poor babies...
"Ahh...." I heard him groan and hold his shoulder.
"What's the matter?" I asked him.
"My shoulders ache a lot. My arms too. Looks like a overworked myself. They feel quite fatigued" he tried gearing his joints only to wince in discomfort.
"Ugh, don't aggravate it. That would make it worse. Relax your shoulders, and try to slowly roll them to get some movement" I instructed him sternly.
"I can't. They stiffened up. I cannot even properly move them without feeling a lot of stings" he complained to me, still grabbing onto his ailing shoulder.
I watched him cynically and shook my head, sighing and closing my eyes, rubbing my own furrowed brows. He was seriously acting like a whiny child crying over a tiny scratch. But despite my dubiety, I did not blame him. It was true he did a lot of work today. He shifted hefty stuff, helped me tidy up the inside of the storehouse and shelves along with the rest of the two-storeys, and also renovated the mattress, sheets and curtains with new and clean ones. I couldn't have done all of them without Asra, and I did owe him enough to alleviate him from his post-pain.
"Turn your back" I ordered him again.
"O-Oh.... alright" he did as I told him. I cracked my knuckles and trudged towards him and sat near him, facing his back.
"Take your shirt off," I told him next. He obeyed me and dropped the piece of clothing in front of him. I tenderly skimmed his back, caressing his spine and feeling the bumps of his vertebrate. My nails trailed along his tanned back and I felt his shivers reverberating through my finger pads. His skin was soft like the petals of blossoms and tempting to sense as a downy kitten's fur.
And he was even kissable as a child's rosy cheek.
I shifted a little closer to him, grasping his shoulders carefully in my hands and enclosing my fingers around his shoulder blades. I lightly applied pressure on my palms and squeezed his shoulders. Asra lightly grumbled in return, and I continued my work around that area and his neck. I handily massaged his tendons and muscles, untying all the tangles and applying the right amount of force as not to cause too much throb on him.
"Mmmahh.....Wynne....." He sizzled. It didn't sound like a wince of pain but of genuine contentment and pleasure. He finally let himself loose under my hands as he leaned back onto my shoulder, closing his eyes and moaning against my neck. I softly chuckled and laid a peck on his nose as I kept pummelling onto his other aching places.
I moved from his neck to his arms and shoulders, and I sensually kneaded his well-built limbs and fondled with his biceps in-between my fingers. I pressed every spot of his arms and started laying butterfly kisses upon his neck and below his ear. He lightly purred from my touch, succumbing to my soft seduction as I nibbled onto his ear, and my hand slid up from his chest to hold his chin and the other reached down to twiddle with his nipple.
"Ohhh...Wynne....." He bit his lip, his cheeks dusted pink from impulse.
"Yes, darling~?" I whispered into his ear and took the opportunity to bite on his earlobe and pull it faintly with my mouth.
"Aahhh! please.....more......I want more" he pleaded to me. I gazed into his eyes, they were clouded with submission and fervour. He wanted to keep up with this play of pinch and flirt with me, and he wanted himself to be under my mercy and decree till I break him to his brim by making him reach his peak ecstasy and orgasm.
And who would refuse such an offer?
Well, the answer is simple.
I would.
Before he could make any other move, I promptly pulled myself back and stood up on my feet as Asra landed back on the sofa with a thud.
"Pervert" was all I said before I made my way to the kitchen to fetch him the spiced lemonade he was craving ever since he finished his work, and a playful smirk was visible throughout on my lips. It's not that I didn't want to continue exciting him, I stopped because I want this to be on a day where no chore, nonentity, and no interference come in the middle. I wanted the day we make love to be untarnished, ripe and vehement, where no one coaxed to unnerve us.
As far as I can remember, Asra's face was priceless by the heckler finale I gave him. He was completely bamboozled and hoodwinked, and damn I loved it. The taunting was one of my greatest pastimes, and working it out on Asra was even more fun. Why do you ask? Because he always gives the most adorable and unparalleled ripostes than anyone I had ever known, and it was always mirthful at which I can chortle about for hours and never forget it ever in my life.
Maybe one such day will arrive when he would be fortunate enough to receive my full attention.....one day..........
And I'm desperately but patiently waiting for it.

If I was rich I would just let fucked up racist lifters from the internet sleep on mattresses on the floor in my living room for free. Give each a hammer. No intruders or state agencies can get to me

You probably remember the part where Jason decides to build a crib out of wood (I have a video to show you in messages) so he would chop wood while holding Malon in his arm, just to show off in front of me XD. You can add the part where Malon cries in the middle of the night, like all babies do, and I was going to wake up to check on her, even though I'm tired, but Jason will insist on checking on Malon. As for the rest with the baby and daddy bond, I'll let you come up with something sweet ;)
Pairing: Jason Voorheese x MJ, Jason Voorheese x Baby Malon X MJ
Warnings: Fluff, cuteness, baby stuff
this is longer than normal because I’ve got carried away 👉👈
Don’t hesitate to tell me if I made some mistakes!
—
It was early in the morning and MJ was going to go check on Malon, like always, but she didn’t hear anything. Then, her eyes drifted toward the empty space on the bed, putting two and two together. “Jay...?” She said with a frown on her face. She got up and then walked to the kitchen to eat something before looking for them. She knew nothing bad was going to happen to Malon, Jason would do anything to protect her. He would be ready to throw himself before anything that could harm her or their new baby... and she loves him even more for that 💕
Thinking about this as she finishes her food, a soft smile appears on her lips. She throws away her trash and then walk outside where she hears soft noises, only to stop in her track, her smile growing bigger when she sees the scene before her. The big undead man that she calls her lover is holding their small baby girl in one arm, his other holding an axe as he chops some woods carefully...The small bundle of happiness doesn’t even look alarmed as the weapon enter in contact with the log, she only giggles, her eyes sparkling.
MJ sits on the small swing Jason built for when he wasn’t there, leaning against the cushions, her smile still plastered on her face. When Jason finally saw her, he stopped for a second, replacing Malon in the crook of his arm as he flexed a little, seeing his love holding back her giggles. He couldn’t stop himself, he loved hearing her laughing. When he finally finished, fooling around with the baby in his arms, he walked over to where MJ was and lifter her over his shoulder as he heard her squeaking. Her laughs filled his ears as he carried his family in his arms, a goofy grin on his masked face.
—-
Some time later, after eating and doing some other family things, they went to sleep. But their sleep was disturbed when Malon started crying, her sobs echoing through the small house. Rubbing her eyes, MJ was going to check on her like always, until she felt Jason’s hand holding hers, telling her not to move. “But Jay... I need to check on her-“ He shook his head as he pushed her back softly on the mattress. With a smile, MJ nodded and closed her eyes silently as he kissed her forehead, the mattress going back to normal as he get up.
When he arrived in the small room where Malon was in her new crib, all wrapped like a burrito in her pink blanket, he bent down. His gaze drifted toward the floor where her pacifier was as he took it and wiped it on his shirt before giving it back to her gently, smiling as he looks into her big sparkly green eyes. A big smile appears on her face when she sees her daddy’s unmasked face, a giggle escaping her as she grabs at his nose. She was so adorable that Jason didn’t want to go back to bed, but he knew that MJ was going to stress if he didn’t come back, so he kissed her forehead and booped her nose, making her giggle more before he took her into his arms. She snuggled closer in his hold, making his undead heart melt as he hears her making small noises.
Going into the kitchen, he take a package of powdered milk and start making a bottle with the baby on his hip. He then take her pacifier gently as he hear her making cooing noises. He puts the bottle in her mouth a she happily drinks from it, her hands grabbing at it as he tilts it a little.
After making her burp and replacing her diaper, which he immediately knew needed to be changed, he was going to put her back into her cribs... until she grabbed at him again with her cute little tiny hands.
Oh god.
He held her closer, going back to his room as the small girl started to drift to sleep in his arms. When he got into bed, MJ was going to ask him if the baby was okay until she saw him making a shush motion with a finger to his mouth. A big smile broke on her face as she looked at the giant before her with the small burrito in his arms <3

✚ for a HEALTH ✿ for a HAPPINESS ✄ for a PET PEEVE headcanon
✚ for a HEALTH
Qrow didnt see a proper doctor or dentist or optician until he was nearly 20 and Ozpin realized these twins were THAT isolated. Qrow had to go through childhood illness the hard way, without vaccines or support from a doctor, and while they were on the run.
✿ for a HAPPINESS
Simple things make Qrow very happy. Fresh, warm baked bread is an instant mood lifter, as is just sitting and watching small Ruby and Yang play. It doesnt take a lot to put this birb man in a good mood, the challenge is maintaining that mood.
✄ for a PET PEEVE
Dirty feet in bed. You’d think this wouldnt be an issue for someone who spent most of his life outside and travelling, but he is absolutely disgusted if you come to bed and the bottoms of your feet are gross. There’s just something about bed thats supposed to be clean and refreshing, and dirty feet smear down the entirety of the blankets and mattress/sleep roll and thats just gross.
Wash your feet before you get in his bed.
