The “Toyota Fronx” Exists, And May Arrive In 2024!
The Toyota-badged Fronx will likely get cosmetic and badging differences inside and out as seen on other shared models between Toyota and Maruti
Tumblr media
●It will be the fifth shared model between Toyota and Maruti.
●Toyota could benefit from having its own Fronx as its new sub-4m ‘SUV’ offering.
●Will likely share its engine options with the Maruti Fronx, including the CNG powertrain.
●It’s also expected to have the Fronx’ features including the 9-inch touchscreen and auto AC.
●Launch expected in 2024, with prices likely to start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
By now, you must have noticed the few models being introduced are cross-badged products as part of the Maruti Suzuki-Toyota alliance. Some popular names include the Maruti Grand Vitara-Toyota Hyryder SUVs and the more recent duo of the Toyota Innova Hycross-based Maruti Invicto premium MPV. It has now come to the fore that Toyota will launch its own version of the Maruti Fronx, sometime in 2024.
Why Does Toyota Need A Fronx?
Tumblr media
One of the main reasons for Toyota to offer a rebadged Fronx that it lacks a sub-4m SUV in its Indian portfolio. In contrast, its alliance partner – Maruti Suzuki – has two models in this category, making its SUV range more accessible with a potential starting price well under the Rs 10 lakh mark.
A Familiar Treatment
Tumblr media
The Toyota-badged Fronx will likely get a few cosmetic and badge differences inside and out over Maruti’s crossover SUV as seen on some shared products between the two carmakers like the Baleno-Glanza and the Innova Hycross-Invicto duo. The most prominent visual changes are expected to be the grille, headlights, and interior colour scheme.
Powertrain Details Of The Maruti Fronx
Specification
Tumblr media
The Maruti Fronx’ 1-litre turbo-petrol engine comes with mild-hybrid technology. We expect Toyota’s version of the Fronx to come with the same set of powertrains, while the CNG variants might be launched later.

Revving into 2024: Unveiling the Hottest New Cars – From Next Gen Swift to High-Tech BMWs and Citroen’s Unique C3X Sedan
Welcome to our 2024 new car special and while we’ll talk of upcoming SUVs and electric vehicles in future , this one’s all about new and updated hatchbacks, sedans and MPVs due for launch over the coming year.
let us know in the comments which is the car you’re most excited about and while you’re at it, do ensure you’re subscribed to AutoCraft India and have hit the bell icon to be notified every time we have.
Next Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift:
Let’s start with hatchbacks. There’s only one all new hatchback set for launch next year and it’s a big one. It’s the next gen Maruti Suzuki Swift. Shown in near production ready form at the Japan Mobility Show last month, the new Swift is not a big departure to the current car in its basic look.
However, the new car has a longer nose with a clamshell bonnet, a pair of freshly designed LED headlamps with L -shaped LED DRLs as well as a new grille finished in gloss black. There’s a character line that runs the length of the car and a detail of note at the sides is that the rear door handle has been moved to the conventional position at the door from the C pillar as on the current car.
Styling at the back is unmistakably Swift with new C -shaped LED elements on the tail lamps enhancing the look. Inside the Swift looks familiar with the dash design very similar to that of the Frans.
It also shares several bits with other Maruti’s like the freestanding infotainment system, the climate control switches and flat bottom steering wheel. Seat comfort as well as space remain quite similar to the current version as well.
The new Swift will debut in India with the new 1 .2 -litre 3 -cylinder engine in place of the current K -12 1 .2 -litre 4 -cylinder unit. Codename Z12, the new naturally aspirated engine will make about the same 90hp as the K -12 unit but torque is said to be improved which should help performance in turn.
Enhanced efficiency and reduced emissions are also promised. The engine will likely be offered with manual and AMD gearboxes. The model will be built on Suzuki’s heart tech platform as before but expect some enhancements to the build as was the case with the latest Gen Baleno.
The new Swift has already been spotted testing in India and is expected to go on sale in early 2024. Pricing will be in the range of 6 .5 to 9 .5 lakh rupees extra room.
Tata Altroz Update:
The Tata Altroz is due for an update and the car maker hinted at what’s to come with the Altroz racer displayed at AutoExpo 2023.
The updated Altroz will see a feature upgrade with the move to Tata’s new 10 .25 inch touchscreen and digital dials and a sunroof ventilated front seats and a wireless phone charger are also expected.
The safety suite will also be enhanced with six airbags. Engine options will include the current 1 .2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1 .5 litre diesel while the 1 .2 litre turbo petrol is likely to see power up by 10 hp to 120 hp.
There will also be the move to a 6 speed manual gearbox in place of the current 5 speed unit. Over to the new sedans headed our way.
8th Gen BMW 5 Series (Long Wheelbase):
The 8th gen BMW 5 series is out and the big news is that it’s coming to India in long wheelbase form that’ll help level the playing field with the Mercedes E -Class that’s sold in India in extended form.
In look the latest 5 is subtle as new BMWs go. The grille is the focal point up front and comes flanked by swept back headlamps. Surfacing is tight all around though the rear end doesn’t link to its predecessors.
Revving into 2024: Unveiling the Hottest New Cars – From Next Gen Swift to High-Tech BMWs and Citroen’s Unique C3X Sedan
Inside there’s the very best of new HBMWs. 12 .3 inch digital dials and a 14 .9 inch touchscreen lend the new 5 the requisite modernity and there’s 7 series like crystal look detailing for a rich look.
There’s a comprehensive ambient lighting suite as well. Space at the back will see a big jump up thanks to the move to a long wheelbase format. 2 .0L petrol and diesel engines with mild hybrid tech will be the mainstay of the range and 3 .0L petrol and diesels could be offered as well.
The 5 series’ electric sibling the i5 is also India bound and will be covered in more detail in our upcoming new EVs for 2024.
Citroen is readying its first sedan for India and in true French fashion it’ll be a unique take on the sedan.
Citroen C3X
Think of the model as a sedan with the ground clearance of an SUV. To be called the C3X, this high riding and rugged sedan will stand out amongst mid -sized sedan rivals like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
Powering Citroen C3X will be a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 110 PS of max power and 190 Nm of peak torque. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available. In comparison, most of the leading midsize sedans have larger capacity and more powerful turbo petrol engines. Strong hybrid option is also available with Honda City. Citroen could use the C3X name for its upcoming sedan, based on similar-styled C4X sold in Europe. Or, as revealed in trademark filings, C3 Fastlounge name can also be used.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx, MG Comet, Lamborghini Urus S And Other Cars Will Be Launched in April 2023
Tumblr media
A number of new cars, from SUVs to electric vehicles, are expected to go on sale in April. Maruti Suzuki's Fronx, a new SUV that replaces the Grand Vitara, and MG Motor's Comet EV, the company's second electric vehicle in India after the ZS EV, are two of the models with the most eagerly awaited debuts. Moreover, Mercedes-Benz India has stated that the AMG GT 63 S E Performance would be available within the next month. A couple of other versions are additionally expected to enter the Indian sector soon. Here is a quick rundown of the upcoming vehicles that will be available in April.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx:
Maruti Suzuki debuted the Fronx SUV earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2023. The car resembles the Baleno hatchback and also has some features with the Grand Vitara's front end. The Fronx is anticipated to compete with vehicles like the Tata Punch and Nissan Magnite despite being smaller than the Brezza sub-compact SUV. The Fronx is now accepting reservations, and it has apparently already taken over 13,000 of them. There are five different versions of the Fronx: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha.
A 1.0-liter K-series Turbo Boosterjet engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology will power the Maruti Fronx. The engine will be mated to either a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters or a five-speed manual transmission. Moreover, the Fronx will have a 1.2L Advanced K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine option. This engine will include Idle Start Stop technology and be paired with either an AGS gearbox or a 5-speed manual transmission.
Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance:
The AMG GT 63 S E Performance, a vehicle with remarkable speed and performance, will be unveiled by Mercedes the following month. This fast car, which was influenced by Formula One, has an electric motor and a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine. It is currently the most potent AMG vehicle that is being produced. The outstanding peak torque of 1,400 Nm and maximum power output of 843 hp are both produced by the V8 engine. It just needs 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. According to the manufacturer, the supercar can go up to 12 kilometres on electricity alone.
MG Comet:
The unveiling of MG Motor's new, reasonably priced electric vehicle was originally scheduled to take place at the Auto Show, but it was postponed to the second quarter. The popular Chinese electric vehicle, the MG Air or Wuling Air EV, is the inspiration for the future EV, known as the Comet EV, which is anticipated to be unveiled next month. After the ZS EV, the Comet EV will be the second electric vehicle of MG Motors in India. It will also be the smallest electric vehicle on Indian roads.
Regarding the MG Comet EV's battery pack and electric motor, no information is currently available. The battery pack is expected to have a capacity of little more than 20 kWh, and the stated range on a single charge will be between 250 and 300 kilometers. A power output of about 40 horsepower is anticipated.
Lamborghini Urus S:
The Urus model now offered in India will be replaced by the Urus S super SUV, Lamborghini's entry-level SUV. This new SUV is already on the market in various countries. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission with an eight-speed torque converter that sends power to all four wheels for the best performance on a variety of surfaces.
With an additional 16 horsepower, Lamborghini's upcoming Urus S super SUV is a more potent version of the Urus. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine can produce a maximum torque of 850 Nm and 666 horsepower. The Urus S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h.

Thar RWD Worth The Money ?
Mahindra Thar is one of the most iconic SUVs of all time, this is because of its presence of more than two decades. The Thar has never lost out its charm from off-road enthusiasts. Mahindra introduced its first-gen thar in 2010 and from then to now it has been the favrourite SUV of every off-road enthusiasts. In 2020 Mahindra has introduced the second-gen Thar which not only pulls the heart of 4x4 lovers but also those who use enthuse a daily commuting SUV.
But does the Newly launched Thar RWD really value for money ? Here are five reasons that support your decision to buy a Thar RWD, and three reasons why you shouldn’t.
Five reasons why you should buy the Thar RWD
New powertrain
Both the Thar 4WD and 2WD offers 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine, which generates 150 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. But what makes the deal a little sweeter is the brand-new 1.5-liter diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Being a 1.5-litre engine, it is also more fuel-efficient than the 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine offered with the Thar 4WD. This engine has 116 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
Off-road capability
At first glance, it could appear that the Thar RWD is less capable than its 4WD when it comes to off-roading. But the new Mahindra Thar has an electric brake locking differential (available with the diesel engine), which is quite useful in off-road circumstances. In addition, both versions of the Thar come with standard features such a washable floor with drain plugs, front and rear welded tow hooks, and tow hitch protection.
Spacious and accessible interior
Since the Thar RWD lacks a low-range transfer case, a little storage area has become available underneath the gear lever case. a location where you can store your phone, keys, or stray change. This is a little adjustment, but it has quite a practical aspect to it.
Exterior appeal
The Thar RWD is only offered with a hard top, unlike the Thar 4WD. Blazing Bronze and Everest White are two other colour choices that are added along with it. Increasing the number of aesthetic alternatives while reducing confusion around body style possibilities (open-top or hard-top).
And of course the affordable price tag
Last but not least, it is more inexpensive than the base Thar 4WD thanks to its price tag of Rs 9.99 lakh. It should be noted, however, this price is only available to the first 1000 buyers and is simply an introduction. Therefore, prices for the Thar RWD will increase whenever Mahindra reaches the maximum. Therefore, feel free to purchase the Thar at this time. Avoid stopping yourself.
Three reasons to skip Thar RWD
Maruti Suzuki unveiled Jimny
Yes, the long-awaited five-door Jimny has finally been launched for the Indian market. It will come standard with Suzuki's AllGrip all-wheel-drive technology. It may appear to be a little SUV when compared to the Thar. But make no mistake, this compact SUV is more than capable of handling any terrain.
Limitations of Thar
The disadvantages of the Thar's standard four-wheel drive will also apply to the RWD version. Due to the 2-door design of the SUV, access to the second row is both constrained and hindered. The answer to this issue is presented next, though.
Mahindra to launch 5-door Thar soon
By 2024, Mahindra plans to introduce the five-door Thar. Not only will the SUV grow longer with the addition of more doors, but the interior will also become roomier. As a result, it will be more useful and adaptable than the existing Thar crop.

Why Buy A New Car When You Can Get These Top Best Cars Under 8 Lakhs
Car buying can be a stressful process. With so many cars out there, it's hard to know which one is the right fit for you. You want to make sure that the car will last, and that the price is low enough that you can afford it. But how do you find the best budget cars in India under 8 lakhs? This post has all of your answers!
Tata Vista
The Tata Vista is a subcompact car that has been produced by the Indian manufacturer Tata Motors since 2008. It is based on the earlier Indica V2 platform, and shares many features with its hatchback sibling, the Tata Indigo eCS. The Vista was initially launched with a 1.4-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel engine, both of which were mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 4-speed automatic transmission was later introduced for the petrol engine.
The Vista has been generally well-received in India, with critics praising its spacious interior and fuel economy. However, it has been criticised for its lacklustre performance and build quality. In 2009, the Vista was facelifted and received a new grille, headlamps and tail lamps. The petrol engine was also upgraded to a 1.6-litre unit, while the diesel engine remained unchanged. The facelifted version of the Vista was subsequently rebranded as the "Tata Manza" in 2010.
The Tata Vista is a good option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a spacious and practical car. It offers decent fuel economy and a comfortable ride, but its performance and build quality leave something to be desired.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

Purpose of Buying a Car
There are many reasons why people may choose to buy a car. Some people may need a car for work or business purposes, while others may simply want the convenience and independence that owning a car can provide. Whatever the reason, there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing which car to buy.
First and foremost, it is important to consider what purpose the car will serve. If the car will be used for work or business, then it is important to choose a model that is reliable and has low running costs. If the car is primarily for personal use, then style and comfort may be more important considerations. It is also worth considering how often the car will be used and whether it will be used for long journeys or short trips.
Once the purpose of the purchase has been considered, it is then important to look at budget. How much money can realistically be spent on a new car? It is also worth considering whether any trade-in value can be gained from an old car, which could help reduce the overall cost of the new vehicle.
Once the budget has been decided upon, it is time to start looking at different models within that price range. It is important to read reviews of any potential purchase, as well as test driving the car if possible, in order to get a feel for how it handles and what features it offers.
Conclusion
There are a number of great cars available on the market for under 8 lakhs. Whether you're looking for a sedan, SUV, or hatchback, there's sure to be a car that meets your needs. All-New Maruti Suzuki Brezza VS Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
All-New Maruti Suzuki Brezza VS Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
   All-New Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki recently launched the All-New Brezza in India at a starting price of Rs.7.99 lakh. Here is a quick comparison between new vs old based on the exterior design, interior features, engine options and pricing.
The 2022 All-New Maruti Suzuki Brezza has finally debuted in the Indian market. The price of the sub-compact SUV starts from Rs. 7.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 13.96 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end automatic variant. Now that we have seen the vehicle in flesh, it is evident that the New Brezza features a host of changes to the exterior, interior and powertrain over the previous model. So what we have got for you here today is the list of updates given to the new SUV over the outgoing model to help understand better what is what.
All-New Maruti Suzuki Brezza VS Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Exterior Design
Tumblr media
The updated Brezza features major changes in the design department. The sub-4-meter SUV retains its overall boxy SUVish styling but gets redesigned bumpers, front grille, headlights, and fenders. Maruti has done away with the chrome grille seen on the outgoing model and replaced it with a new sleek gloss black grille with arrow elements on top. The new grille flows cleanly into the headlamp unit which now is LED. The lower half of the bumper features a larger air duct and a silver cladding below it. The fog lamps have been upgraded to an LED unit as compared to the regular halogen unit seen on the outgoing model. The alloy wheels also get a new bold geometric finish with more significant wheel arches, and the body cladding is now more prominent in comparison to the Vitara Brezza. Another noticeable difference between the two models is the addition of a camera to the ORVM for a 360-degree view.
Towards the rear, it provides a sleeker tail section along with new LED tail lamps and a newly designed rear bumper. The shark fin antenna is another significant style addition to bring the SUV in line with its competition. To let more light into the cabin, Maruti has increased the size of the C-Pillar quarter glass compared to the old model. Another change here is the deletion of the Vitara badge and the introduction of the Smart Hybrid tag to give a cleaner look.
All New Maruti Suzuki Brezza VS Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Interior Layout and Features
Tumblr media
On the inside, the New Brezza sports a completely different cabin to the outgoing model with a multi-layered dash and more prominent feature additions. Compared to the all-black dashboard of the outgoing model, the new car features a two tone front console finished in black and brown adding a sense of premiumness to the cabin. The fixed 7-inch touchscreen unit has now been replaced with a free-standing 9-inch unit borrowed from the Baleno Facelift with the air vents placed right below it. Maruti has also done away with the round steering wheel and replaced it with a flat-bottom unit that gets tilt and telescopic adjustments. Another welcome addition to the new models cabin is a coloured MID in place of the mono-tone unit seen on older models.
The New Brezza has taken giant strides in terms of features on offer. It now gets a head-up display, wireless charging, electric sunroof, rear AC vents, a 360-degree parking camera and more. In addition to these, it caters to leatherette upholstery as compared to the basic black fabric on the outgoing model. The safety kit on the new avatar also sees significant upgrade with  6 airbags in place of 2 while ESP, Hill Hold Assist are offered as standard fitment with all powertrain options.
All New Maruti Suzuki Brezza VS Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Engine Options
The departed Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza came powered by a K15B 1.5 litre petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter gearbox. However, the new Brezza gets an updated version of the same engine in form of a 1.5-litre K15C engine which also propels other cars in Maruti’s stable like the New Ertiga and the XL6 Facelift. The new model also gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifter helping the car cruise freely on the highway. The new petrol motor churns out 102bhp and 138 Nm of torque while delivering an impressive mileage of up to 20.15 kmpl by making use of the 12V mild hybrid system offered as standard fitment across all the variants. Earlier, the mild-hybrid system was limited to only the automatic trims. The new SUV is currently available only in a petrol model, while the CNG-powered Brezza is expected to arrive by the end of 2022.
All New Maruti Suzuki Brezza VS Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: Pricing in IndiaVariants (Manual)All New BrezzaOld Vitara BrezzaDifference
LXiRs. 7.99 lakhRs.7.84 lakhRs.15,000
VXiRs. 9.46 lakhRs.8.92 lakhRs.54,000
ZXiRs. 10.86 lakhRs.9.67 lakhRs.1,19,000
ZXi Dual ToneRs. 11.02 lakh-
ZXi+Rs.12.30 lakhRs.9.98 lakhRs.2,32,000
ZXi+ Dual ToneRs.12.46 lakhRs.10.14 lakhRs.2,32,000
Variants (Automatic)All New BrezzaOld Vitara BrezzaDifference
VXiRs.10.96 lakhRs.10.12 lakhRs.84,000
ZXiRs.12.36 lakhRs.10.87 lakhRs. 1,49,000
ZXi Dual ToneRs.12.52 lakh-
ZXi+Rs.13.80 lakhRs.11.33 lakhRs. 2,47,000
ZXi+ Dual ToneRs.13.96 lakhRs.11.49 lakhRs. 2,47,000
(All prices mentioned here are (ex-showroom)
Pricing of the all-new model has definitely gone up, but by how much? It depends on variant to variant, as we see in the tables above, the starting price of the New Brezza which is for the base LXi trim has just increased by Rs 15,000 which seems quite competitive. As we move up the variant line-up the difference is quite significant as the prices for the VXi trim has increased by Rs 54,000. The ZXi+ and ZXi+ dual tone manual variants of the updated SUV are priced at Rs.12.30 lakh and Rs.12.46 lakh respectively. This indicates a major difference of Rs. 2.32 lakh over the outgoing model. The case is similar with the automatic trims, as the difference in VXi (AT) of old and New Brezza is of Rs 84,000 and as we go towards the ZXi+ Dual Tone, we can observe a price hike of Rs. 2.47 lakh.
One can see that Maruti Suzuki has managed to keep the pricing of the lower variants quite competitive in an attempt to salvage an attractive starting price. That said, prices of its top trims have been hiked quite steeply; however this can be justified with the amount of equipment the SUV has to offer. The strategy of the company is quite clear, as the lower variants are the real volume pullers and will attract attention from the masses with a good amount of features on offer. While the top variants are designed to satisfy the urban tech savvy customers who are looking for creature comforts and a luxury experience which was lacking in the outgoing model, while giving the maximum profits to the automaker.
