Exploring my trend I wanted to look into how it is currently being expressed in the real world. Digitally inspired fashion can be seen in many forms and in this post I will also look into and discuss an already established trend with what cyber goth fashion has done to adapt the digital realm into their apparel. I went out and observed the current retail environment and what is on offer. During my tends look book work I have used iridescent fabrics to express the digital influence on real world pieces. Not the most sustainable company to support but Primark did have some very unique iridescent bags in stock (JAN2023) and they reflected so well the trend I have portrayed through my look book. Although iridescent and holographic fashion isn't anything new its now finding its way into much more stylised looks for adults as in the 00's it really prominently appealed to youthful markets.
Digital fashion has also directly spawned trends entirely dedicated to the cyber realm. Cyber goths that sub culture from the Goth trend use lots of bright neon colours blended with the dark yet beautiful black in Goth fashion. They are commonly known to include strappings, buckles and lots of hardware to produce an almost computer cyber appearance in their outfits. I found some interesting examples of this trend in Blue Banana, a UK based company that stocks more niche brands that cater to these sub cultures. I would consider them more sustainable for product life as the items are usually higher quality, made by unique designers which gains them almost a level of collectability to the collections and are priced more fairly so fast fashion with these brands would be costly for the consumer to do. Blue Banana is also consciously aware with their suppliers production methods and does not support any exploitative ways of producing fashion making them a more morally beneficial choice to consumers. The world’s largest exchange, Binance, has launched a new domain for United Kingdom users in compliance with the incoming financial promotions rules of the island nation. This development was announced on October 6 via a blog post as Binance looks to maintain its services under the UK’s new financial marketing regime, which is set to commence on October 8. Binance Shuffles UK Services, Partners With Authorized Promotion Agency In June, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced an overhaul of marketing rules in regard to crypto assets. According to the market regulator, these new rules are designed to ensure that all potential investors understand the risks that come with dealing with digital assets. Under this new financial promotion regime, the FCA will look to stamp out misleading crypto advertisements or incentivizing promotional schemes such as the “refer a friend” bonus. UK update — CZ 🔶 Binance (@cz_binance) October 6, 2023 According to Binance’s recent blog post, its new UK domain, www.binance.com/en-GB, will only provide access to products and services that are in compliance with the incoming marketing regulations. These include fiat and crypto deposits and withdrawals, spot trading, margin trading, Binance pay, and crypto loans, among others. On the same note, certain Binance services will now be inaccessible to UK users. These include the Binance gift cards, academy, research, and feed features, as well as referral bonuses. Furthermore, Binance has also partnered with Rebuildingssociety.com Limited, an FCA-registered promotions firm that will approve all of the exchange’s marketing and promotional material. Back in July, the FCA wrote an open letter to all crypto firms intending to operate under its new advertisement regime outlining the legal routes for communicating financial promotions to UK consumers. Binance seems to have adopted one of these routes, which is promotions approved by an authorized person as recognized by the FCA handbook. Other means of marketing under the UK’s new financial promotion regime include direct promotion by an authorized person or by crypto assets firms registered with the FCA. Binance had initially filed a registration application with the FCA but later withdrew its request for unknown reasons. European Regulator Issues Second Consultation Package Under MiCA In other news on European regulations, preparations for the implementation of the Market in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulations remain underway. The latest development on this front reveals that the European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) has released the second consultation paper for MiCA as it seeks feedback from all members of the crypto industry on five aspects of the MiCA regulations. These aspects include the sustainability criteria for distributed ledgers, trade transparency measures, and technical specifications for white papers, among others. Interested stakeholders are expected to submit their feedback on this consultation by 14 December 2023. Meanwhile, the ESMA will issue a third and final consultation package on the MiCA regulations in Q1 2024 before drafting and submitting its final report based on all feedback received to the European Commission for approval before or on 30 June 2024. Widely referred to as the first-ever comprehensive legislative framework for the crypto industry, the MiCA regulations are expected to be adopted by all member states of the European Union upon launch in 2024. The new Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow simulator is in its new home. The fitting out of the facility and the setting up of the simulator was completed this week in a new building that sits between the main office of the Gestione Sportiva and the Fiorano Track. In the coming weeks, the calibration work will be carried out and then, at some point in September, after the summer break required by the sporting regulations, the real work will begin, supporting the design phase of the 2022 car.
At the same time, the current simulator will still be used for development work on the SF21 and in preparing for the race weekends, as well as supporting the youngsters from the Ferrari Driver Academy.
The new simulator is absolutely at the cutting edge in this field and reproduces in a 360° environment, the lowest latency and the widest bandwidth of anything currently on the market. It is based on a completely new concept the result of a collaboration between Scuderia Ferrari and Dynisma, a UK-based company headed up by former Ferrari engineer Ashley Warne. It has been produced exclusively for the Maranello team.
