I am once again pining for a moment *just a moment* where they show the infected are just that... infected people. Not zombies. Not undead monsters. Infected people being mind controlled by a fungus that keeps them hostage in their own bodies not letting them die even when it does the most horrific things to them like push out their eyes and split their skull open.

Just a small glimpse into the true agony and sadness of these people who had been infected by this fungus.

#I remember a part in the game where i was watching the runners cradling their heads and crying to themselves #and just how they whimper and pant as they're being vontrolled by this fungus #and all the times you come across infected eating people and you can hear them gagging on the human flesh and mourning what they're doing #it's so horrifically tragic to know that this person is going through so much pain and fear and is powerless to stop it #it's hard to forget when they're running at you trying to rip you to pieces but that is still a person in there #and they're suffering #man i gotta shut up before i make myself cry over this fictional disaster upon humanity #the last of us #tlou #tlou hbo #the last of us hbo
