#man I'd hate being famous y'all are so STRICT 😭#didnt read children of blood and bone (it's on my list for this year) but im just excited to see nigerian/african stiries in the big screen#always. especially when i know the ppl behind it know how to make a good ass movie like gina prince-bythewood directed the old guard???#the ppl saying they should've casted nollywood actors ok i get the vision but who would go see that movie pls 😭 not even nigerians#we have incredibly talented actors in n-wood absolutely but uhhhh they have viola davis let's be serious 😭#our nollywood legacy actresses are busy telling young actresses to stop wearing short skirt or she'll stop them from auditioning 😭#we have plenty of room for improvement pls and until then i will cheer for our stories being told in the best way possible no matter what <#ngozi ezeonu being the daid nollywood legacy actress internalised misogyny and patriarchy have found a forever home in nigeria it seems
