"The Gladers: Group A’s Fight for Survival in the Maze"

"The Gladers" is the name given to a group of young people, designated as Group A, who were part of an experiment known as the Trials. Another group, called Group B, participated in a similar but separate trial.

The Gladers lived in a place called the Glade, a large, enclosed area surrounded by a maze, which was part of a controlled environment set up by a mysterious organization. This group was all male for nearly the entire two years they spent in the Glade, until the arrival of Teresa Agnes, the first and only female, who was also the last person to be sent into the Maze. At the time of Thomas's arrival, the group had around 50 to 60 members.

Nick, the first person ever to arrive in the Maze, initially led the group. After Nick’s death, Alby, his second-in-command, became the leader.

In the film adaptation of the story, the Glade included 40 unnamed characters along with 49 others whose names appear on the wall in the Glade. In the book, however, there are 29 Gladers who are named or mentioned.

Overall, the Gladers had to work together to survive in the dangerous and puzzling environment of the Maze while searching for a way to escape.
