I am having extremely specific and niche ideas I must share. Specifically headcanons for Danny Phantom characters playing World of Warcraft
I feel like Sam would have been the first of them to get into WoW. Something other to play than Doomed, with a heavier focus on questing. She'd play on a PVP server and would be something of a legend on her realm.
She'd pretty much do everything, from hardcore raiding, to achievement hunting, to a little roleplaying on the side with friends.
She'd have two characters she swaps between, a troll warlock and an undead rogue, and would have the most min-maxed gear she can possibly get at all times. A "for the Horde!" girlie all the way. The warlock has tailoring/enchanting for professions, and the rogue mining/jewelcrafting, and she's got every recipe she can get her hands on for both.
I could see Sam trying to get Tucker and Danny into WoW, only to be wildly disappointed with their character decisions as both of them cozy up Alliance-side on a roleplaying realm.
-
Tucker takes one glance at worgen and goes "I'm gonna be a fucking werewolf" and it's all over from there. His main would be a guardian/feral druid (tank and melee dps) with the corniest RP name you've ever seen, and he loves them dearly. He's always looking for new transmog to dress up with, and he takes his mining/engineering professions a little too seriously. He mostly plays with Danny, but probably has a horde alt Sam forced him to make so they could actually play together before cross-faction became a thing (I am being intentionally Vague about what expansions they'd be playing in).
Tucker's horde alt would be a tauren druid that ALSO runs engineering. Pretty much the same character, especially considering he spends 90% of his time in animal forms.
-
Danny would start off playing a night elf monk and would get more into the RP of it than he ever wants to openly admit. He loves all of the flips and shit the monks do, and he's all in on the night elf aesthetic. He swaps between mistweaver and windwalker (healer and DPS), depending on what him and Tucker need to get shit done. He doesn't really focus a lot on the professions, instead going for dual gathering with mining and herbalism so he just has a lot of rocks and plants to throw at Tucker or onto the auction house.
After the accident though, Danny takes a long, staring look at death knights and decides he needs to play one-- for the memes. He's dogshit at it after playing monk for so long, but you can pry his frost (dps) death knight from his cold, half-dead hands.
The DK is just another night elf and when he's RPing, Danny likes to say it's the same character as the monk.
(Also I specifically think that Danny would play a nelf instead of a draenei because, as a trans Danny truther, I feel like the too-buff male draeneis would be a little Much for him, and the femme ones would be too dysphoric.)
-
Val would very begrudgingly start playing WoW with them once she joins Team Phantom. She'd go Horde-side with Sam, with a tauren warrior decked head to toe in red. She quickly gets sucked into the game, and gets a little intense with farming for all of the things she wants-- mounts, cool transmog, some battle pets. She likes to do a lot of content alone, finding it fun to just go off questing, but she'll let herself be dragged into dungeons ever now and then. She just doesn't have the time or energy for raiding consistently.
Val winds up making a bunch of different alts eventually to keep collecting shit, and she gets scary good at gold farming so she can pay for her subscription with in-game currency. She's got a bunch of different professions she runs on her various alts, but the warrior's got mining/blacksmithing since the idea of making her own armor won her out.
-
Dani plays on a laptop bought with Vlad's money, on a subscription also bought with Vlad's money. She takes one look at Val and Sam playing Horde-side and decides there is no other side to play.
She mains a vulpera hunter and is a troll through and through. She lives up to the hunter stereotype of accidentally pulling everything, but makes up for it by being scary good at DPS and PVP. Her and Val do a lot of mog and mount farming together, and some of her favorite things to collect are the battle pets and toys. She's got Meerah's Jukebox (a toy that plays a song about alpacas before exploding) hotkeyed to drop at a moment's notice.
She winds up getting a little too invested in alchemy, insisting she needs to be good at making goop.
-
Wes would not play WoW, and would instead play FFXIV and would never shut up about how much better it is than WoW.
Bonus:
Lancer plays a lot of WoW during the summer when school is out. He's got a human mage who looks a bit like a buff version of him that he's been playing since the game released, and he's got all sorts of achievements and collectibles held onto from that era. He runs herbalism/inscription as a profession, and has every recipe for it under the sun. He still insists on riding his first horse mount that he ever got, and it has a Shakespearean name.
#danny phantom#world of warcraft#these characters canonically play an MMO so I think it is only logical that they would try other MMOs#dog barks

this is my earthen monk, erchith! first one is right when she spawned after being created and the second one is in orgrimmar after finishing the initial earthen quests. i loooooooove the earthen armor transmogs they give you. also i COULD have just given her two fist weapons but i kind of liked the idea of her having a big hammer in one hand and brass knuckles in the other
my rough backstory for her is that in a past incarnation she was a miner (with a male body so she's kind of trans) who...i haven't decided how she learned monk shit yet. either 1) she met a pandaren from the wandering isle once and they taught her how to be a monk and kick ass with martial arts or 2) she developed a unique earthen style on her own by just punching the shit out of rocks

More TBHK x WoW facts
Kou is playing as human retri paladin. Sucks at dps, but always keeps his friends properly buffed. Has maxed cooking. Brings feasts. Killed himself with Seal of Blood more than once.
Nene is playing as resto druid. She has a script that automatically shifts her into Aquatic form whenever under water. Her profession is herbalism.
Hanako used to play a lot as Amane, who was a warrior. Now he almost exclusively plays Hanankokun, a PvP rogue. He is the guild leader of <Seven Mysteries>.
Tsukasa has made enough donations on this private server to gain admin priviledges. He plays unholy death knight. Wears a transmog set matching Hanakokun’s.
After being banned by Tsukasa, Mitsuba created a new account and rerolled death knight. Tsukasa gifted him a legendary two-hander.
Natsuhiko plays male blood elf. Class is not relevant, because he does not use his class abilities. Loves to RP on a normal server.
Sakura obsessively tracks mmo-champion, and always knows the upcoming stuff before other players. Playtests things on PTR server. Analyzes logs. Guild leader of <Nemesis>.
Teru is hardcore raiding five days a week. His guild is server first on everything. He also plays arena.
Aoi is playing a holy priest. Everyone wants to group with her because she’s a girl. Her profession is herbalism.
Akane plays frost mage. He also follows Aoi around when she gathers herbs.
Satou is playing arcane mage. He conjures more mana biscuits than necessary.
Yokoo plays a windwalker monk.
Lemon likes to do selfies everywhere.

Just a random list of stuff I wish would happen in WoW, souly put together to avoid studying for tomorrow’s American History final.
- The next expansion is Lich King 2 and Taelia has a lead role in it.
- The next expansion is centered around dragonkin and allows players to play dragonkin. How? All characters have dragonkin class option, allowing horns and ability to turn into dragon.
- When Blizzard decide to give Anduin a kid, plzzzz be a baby girl. OR Anduin has more then one child. Just, mix it up a bit, instead of a continuous line of one son having an only son having an only son etc etc. Also dont kill off his partner, plz let SOMEONE HAVE A FAMILY FOR ONCE.
- more male slutmog
- More hairstyles and customization and I mean COME ON
- Also can we please be able to transmog whatever we want come on i pay 15 a month like
- A small mini faction arises from a group of Horde and Alliance whom are sick of war, they combine their flags to create a subgroup with a similar name, maybe the Union? Their flag is the horde thing with the lion face in the middle, and they just want soem god damn peace thank you.
- Plz bring back Varian I miss him, every time i run the lich king raid and I hear him and see him and just....just aaaaaaa.
- He could be a ghost who just commentates on everything and follows his son around idc
- Continue writing Anduin as sassy becuase I know hes gotta be more serious but his sassy lines are canon his sassyness is canon do not forget
- Give the Horde a break give them a good leader not a hitler plz and thank you.
- SNAKE ALLIED RACE. COME ON I HAVE THE NAME DANGERNOODLE WAITING. I WANT TO MAIN A MONK SNAKE FOR THE ALLIANCE PLEASE PLEASSSEEEEE.
- LET ME MAKE MORE THEN 50 CHARACTERS IVE HIT THE LIMIT LIKE TOO MANY TIMES, PLEASE I LOVE HAVING ALTS.

Update: level 77!
A new experience reduction appeared on the PTR for patch 8.1! Huzzah!
Following the last one a couple of months ago, I feel like leveling is going to be fine once this patch rolls out. Honestly, 60-77 wasn’t even that bad this time: with liberal use of dungeons I was able to get those seventeen levels in Dragonblight alone.
If you didn’t take my advice before, take heed now: level to 61 and fly straight to Dragonblight. The quest density and traveling is much better than Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. Just start at the little night elf camp, loop around to Wintergarde and Grizzly Hills as the game leads you, then return to the night elves once you finish the few quests at Amberpine Lodge (if I’m remembering the right name there).
8.1 is gonna be super fab. I’m going to spend this month getting Sidus capped. I’m not sure about how much I’ll invest in end game stuff. Mythic dungeons aren’t any fun right now. PUG raiding also isn’t any fun. But I’ve never managed to get into a decent guild or anything. Maybe I’ll go straight to leveling the other classes I want to play once 8.1 is out. I almost have Eastern Kingdoms loremaster so I’m going to need to figure out what I’m going to do Kalimdor with.
Sucks how there isn’t anything worth doing at 120 if you’re not in a guild. Sure you can PUG dungeons and raids but like I said it’s not any fun. Why do guys put yourselves through that? I like dungeons but, especially then expansion with the horribly punishing dungeon design, not the goddamn people. It’s only tolerable pre-cap because the dungeons are so damn easy. I can’t imagine trying to do challenging content with a bunch of brainless randos that are determined not to cooperate.
Also I’m a shadow priest so it’s not like I’ll get any invites anyway. And I’m not joining a guild just to be your goddamn dispel bot.
Could heal but Discipline is the meta spec and I refuse to play it. Sure, people say “Holy is still good” but I know that’s not the case. Meta is meta.
What do I play WoW for again?
I don’t know.
Leveling alts, I guess.
———
Did I tell you guys about the lady I leveled with last week?
Well, naturally, you temper your expectations in situations like these but I saw no reason not to give them the benefit of the doubt.
This person was playing a void elf warlock, female natch, and we hooked up for about five hours maybe. I believe I went from the mid-60s to right at 70 in that time before I had to go to bed for work the next day. In that time I learned their name and that they were a year younger then me. Still, tempering expectations here, but I had a lot of fun that night. Best highlight was being annoying as hell jaw-jacking with each other in a dungeon. Serious, flirty, picking on one another.
They added me as a BattleTag friend early on but I haven’t heard from them since. I dropped a message a couple days ago but didn’t hear back. Sad, but, this is one experience that was far better than any I’ve ever had on Dalaran. I’d say that bodes well for myself and Moon Guard. If this is the sort of social atmosphere I can expect then I’m in the right place. Even if I never speak to this person again it was worth it for that one evening I got to spend not by myself for once.
I guess I ought to get my roleplaying stuff ready for cap. I’m awfully shy, though, and don’t really want to walk in to anything and involve myself in situations where I cannot say whether or not I’m actually welcome. However, I can see a lot of potential even just hanging out in Stormwind’s Mage Quarter. You know, if socializing is the ultimate goal. Maybe I’ll figure out something in the long run, who knows. Either way Sidus’s character is pretty much set in stone in my head.
———
After Sidus I have a pandaren shaman and human mage waiting in the reserve.
I’d really like to play a kul tiran and dark iron dwarf but do you know what I do not want to do? Any more goddamn rep grinding for a while. And although I am not super far away from them on my old main on Dalaran server, I’m not planning on going back to that character. Sidus is my new main and that’s that. I might make a new monk, probably not until they fix windwalker, but that panda in particular and that server in particular I’m done with. I’m a Moon Guard player now.
I’d also like to level a new paladin probably. The changes to their spell effects on the PTR right now are really nice. Especially for Holy. Moreover I’d like to have at least one tanking spec available amongst my characters. Paladin and Warrior are the ones I have enjoyed most that I tried. I don’t have much interest in playing a druid of any kind (too mainstream) although it’s presently my choice for a future kul tiran should I ever unlock them.
If I ever unlock dark iron dwarves, I’ll be going for a warlock. They look best as warlocks and shamans to me. And I already started a panda shaman, so that just leaves warlock.
I can’t say what races I’d like to play warrior and paladin as. I guess lightforged draenei as the paladin. Problem is I don’t know if I’ll commit because I tried to level a draenei priest before and couldn’t commit to it. There was just something wrong with the model. See, this is why I like having Alliance blood elves: I get to be a lean male. I don’t have to be built like a goddamn refridgerator. And I don’t want to play as a female. Not on Moon Guard, I want my characters the same gender as me. On Dalaran I didn’t care but here it’s different.
Maybe it’ll be fine. I think it was the transmog: priest cloth robes just don’t look right but maybe I’ll be more keen on a draenei in plate armor. Furthermore the way their visuals line up ought to make for a really pleasing character model. Granted it’s a little meta (lightforged draenei are paladins about as often as night elves are druids) but in this case I can let it slide in this case since I don’t dislike draenei as much as I dislike night elves. Night elves are so trendy they might as well have a reality show on fuckin’ MTV.
So pandaren shaman, lightforged paladin, dark iron warlock, human mage. What am I going to level as a warrior? I’d also like to see if I can find a tolerable class for a gnome. Gnomes are actually kind of cool but they suffer greatly from every class just seeming bad on them. They really need that supposed “Tinkerer” class just for them and goblins. I will not be making a gnome warrior. New worgen models are coming soon but not too soon. Worgen are fine and all but I’m not sure about them as protection warriors. My last warrior was a pandaren and that worked really well but I already went shaman with the new one.
Ha, maybe I’ll contradict myself immediately and choose night elf. The night elf male model is pretty decent. The class/race combination doesn’t really blow my skirt up but it’s a possibility.

Hey! I think I met your mage and her leveling partner in the cape of stranglethorn earlier (or, yesterday now). I recognized your transmog from the screenshots you've posted in the wow tag, but you seemed like you were getting things done at the time so I didn't wanna bother you. If you saw a blue male draenei around the explorer's league digsite, that was me! I love your art :)
Wow that’s cool! Indeed, I was in the Cape of Stranglethorn yesterday! I remember seeing a draenei monk at least. You can come to say hi if you see me in game. It doesn’t bother me at all even though I might be a little shy. :)
