what is yakuza even about
#/pos#quick doodle of the captain#pirate yakuza in hawaii#it's pirates of the caribbean because the trailer looks like pirates of the caribbean#i went through the five stages of grief with the announcement of this game#i wasn't expecting anything (didn't really want Kiwami 3 nor Dead Souls Kiwami just went in with an open mind)#but my first reaction WAS to be disappointed that rgg studios are still exploiting their old characters#instead of giving more depths to their new ones.#Y7 was masterful in its introduction of new characters but IW kinda ruined the momentum by integrating Kiryu into the main story#and pirate yakuza will defnitely make it very hard for ichiban and the others to stand as their own new heroes of the series#and that makes me sad :(#HOWEVER#i thought a lot about the game and i think it has the potential to be INCREDIBLE#i think the concept is ALMOST PERFECT if they exploit it in the way i think (if they don't they can still surprise me positively!)#amnesic majima is the best thing ever. maybe ill talk about it in more details another day.#majima who doesn't remember his name... the man who forgot his name... do you see the vision...#so all of this considered#i guess im 70% hyped and 30% disappointed? if that even makes sense? i'm mostly just worried about Ichiban#how he will be perceived by fans after Gaiden IW and Pirate in Hawai that were just glorifying a past that Y7 invited to leave behind us#codexdraws
