Absolutely can!

I have a headcanon that Edge actually kinda sucked at cooking at first. Not like, super bad, but just not very good. This was mostly from lack of experience, as I hc their underground to have often had trouble with food supply, fresh food especially, so there was probably a lot of stuff he wasn’t even familiar with after surfacing! (Or meeting the others, if we’re talking about a multiverse situation where he might’ve met the Tales/Swaps prior to surfacing)

Caretaker that he is, it’s important to him to be able to provide for his loved ones, so he worked very hard to learn and improve quickly, on top of it just being a great hobby for him in general! Luckily, he didn’t have to really unlearn anything since Undyne never gave him cooking lessons, but it was still a learning curve all the same, especially trying to educate himself on the best diets for humans, too, to help Toriel better take care of Frisk <3

All the same, there were definitely times Red was about the only one in the house who would even touch the…less successful recipe ventures.
