Macaw Parrots For Sale Online - megabirdstores.com
Buy Macaw Parrots For Sale Online. Macaws are a force to be reckoned with. Everything about them is big, from their voices to their attitudes. Even the mini macaws are big — on the inside! Colorful and often raucous, they call attention to themselves even when quiet. Although, to the uninitiated, macaws seem formidable and may bluster and carry on, those who share their lives with these magnificent friends know that they contain surprisingly loving hearts and sensitive natures.

Return of Jafar - Rewrite: Bonus
(Part 1) - (AO3)
The sun beat down on Agrabah from on high. The locals knew the crowds shifted around this time. The wives and strolling elite were happily ducking the midday heat in their homes and merchants were all too eager to remain under their tarps and awnings, napping through a lull in their sales. Really, the only hustle and bustle to be found was the porters, jogging all over with goods of every shape, size and weight.
Well, there was one unusual sight of activity in the marketplace today. An older man, dressed solely in red and black pacing about between a pottery stall and spice stand. Any merchant with experience knew he looked like trouble but as long as he stayed away from their business, they kept their hands off their daggers.
Jafar huffed. Such a precarious situation. One wrong move and… well, nothing much would happen to him but the sting of failure was enough to make the genie act with care. He cleared his throat quietly and knelt down beside the stall.
The stand’s cloth covering had been tucked up under some of the merchandise. Laying under the dark shade of the tables was Jafar’s master, Nomad, sprawled out on the dirt with her green scarf scrunched up into a makeshift pillow. Lazy vagrant. But she wasn’t half as lazy as--
“Iago.” Jafar whispered.
The pudgy macaw had helped himself to a corner of the makeshift pillow, even managing a small bit of scarf to keep him from having to lay directly on the ground. Judging from the spread-out wings and slumped head, the bird was sleeping just as hard as the woman.
“Iago!” Jafar dared to whisper louder.
The parrot’s talons twitched a bit and his head moved slightly. “I know it’s the family business, Pa, but I don’t wanna be a sailor.”
“Iago…” Jafar growled under his breath. With exceptional caution, Jafar leaned over the woman and just managed to poke Iago in the foot.
The parrot gave a snort and shifted a bit before his eyes cracked open ever so slightly. He just barely lifted up his head to look at Jafar.
“The lamp.” Jafar was more mouthing his words than speaking them. He eagerly pointed at the smooth black lamp hanging from the woman’s side bag on her hip. “Get the lamp.”
Iago blinked slowly, mouth hung open. His eyelids soon closed and he fell back into the scarf. “Mama, your genie’s bugging.”
Jafar froze, torn between wanting to impulsively lash out at the stupid bird and holding back to maintain whatever passed for favor with the woman.
The woman stretched out, not unlike a dog, and slumped back down. “Before mid-day, he’s your genie.” She mumbled back.
Jafar gave an indignant scoff.
“I’ve dealt with him for thirty years.” Iago whined, pulling part of the scarf over his eyes. “It’s your turn.”
Nomad made a long irritated groan before slowly sitting up.
“Oh, I do apologize, Master.” Jafar spat. “Is my complete and utter inability to have any level of independence from you a bother?”
The woman scooted slightly downward from where she lay and pushed Jafar out from under the table with her foot.
“How dare you!” Jafar growled. The woman gave a long, breathy yawn before dropping back down on her scarf and curling up again. “This--!” Jafar covered his mouth as a yawn rolled out of him.
He was tired. Thinking on it, he could hardly remember the last time he properly slept. He remembered his lavish pillow-ridden bed in the palace but that was more him remembering something he had done a thousand times.
Ever since his imprisonment, he’d had trouble sleeping. He wasn’t even sure if he had been sleeping. It felt more like he constantly rolled between bouts of stress and fury until sheer exhaustion made him pass out in the lamp.
Now…
A quick wave and a large wide red pillow poofed into existence. A simple point and a black round pillow appeared under the table. A thought made Jafar teleport to the bedding, sans his headpiece. He couldn’t help but spread out. He had to. Space was almost as much a luxury for him now as daylight and he had to take advantage.
Another yawn and he laid down. Hmm, something not quite right. Ah, a little too hot. He opened one eye and magically stretched out the spice stall awning to cover his whole body in shade.
Perfect temperature, perfect amount of darkness, perfect amount of distance, quiet conversing for ambiance. Jafar absent-mindedly hugged the pillow his head was on and let himself relax.
The world wouldn’t end if it took a couple extra hours to kill Aladdin.
------------
Author's Note: I just wanted to get this scene out of my head so I could hopefully focus on my next chapter which is looking to be the longest yet. This scene is nothing of consequence, story-wise, and thus would probably never be put in a real chapter but it was fun to write and that's the whole point of writing this story: having fun making stuff again.

Tropical Birds Burst to Life in the Intricate Paper Cutouts of ‘The Parrot Project’
by Kate Mothes - Colossal, December 18, 2024
Tumblr media
The Paper Ark, a collaboration between Nayan Shrimali and Venus Bird (previously), celebrates the diverse beauty of our planet’s wildlife. In The Parrot Project, a new series of intricate paper-cut pieces, the striking creatures take center stage in vivid color.
“This series focuses on the vibrant beauty of parrots and their contribution to the ecosystem,” say the Ahmedabad, India-based artists, who created 40 different species during the course of one year. Each piece is meticulously hand-cut and painted, realistically depicting the feathered beings.
Tumblr media
The Paper Ark’s collection captures the vibrancy of myriad tropical avian varieties, from the bright blue, yellow, and red of the macaw to the dramatic flash of color in the red-tailed black cockatoo.
“We want our audience to not just appreciate the beauty of this wonderful species but also understand its importance in nature,” the pair says. Ten percent of proceeds from sales of this series will be donated to a parrot conservation organization.

Raising Macaws with Love and Care One of the hallmarks of Hand Raised Birds Aviaries is our commitment to providing a nurturing environment for our birds. Unlike many commercial breeders, we focus on hand-raising macaws to ensure they are well-socialized and acclimated to human interaction. When macaws are hand-raised, they tend to be more affectionate and friendly, making the transition to a new home easier for both the bird and the owner. We believe that fostering a personal connection with these birds from a young age is crucial, as it transforms them from wild animals into loving companions.
Factors to Consider When Purchasing a Macaw Purchasing a macaw is a significant commitment that requires careful consideration. These birds have a long lifespan, often living for over 50 years, which means future owners should be prepared for a long-term relationship. Here are some essential factors to keep in mind when looking for macaws for sale:
Space Requirements: Macaws are large birds, and they need ample space to live and thrive. A spacious cage, along with safe areas for supervised play, will contribute to their well-being. Ensure your home can accommodate the needs of a macaw before bringing one home.
Diet and Nutrition: Proper nutrition is vital to a macaw's health. A balanced diet consisting of high-quality pellets, fresh fruits, and vegetables is essential. Researching their dietary needs beforehand will ensure your new pet remains healthy.
Social Interaction: Macaws are social birds that require daily interaction. They thrive on companionship, so be prepared to spend time with your macaw daily. If you have a busy lifestyle or limited time, it may be worth considering a more independent species or multiple birds for company.
Veterinary Care: Just like any pet, macaws need regular check-ups and vaccinations. Ensure you have access to an avian veterinarian experienced with larger bird species to provide proper health care.
Behavioral Needs: Understanding the behavioral characteristics of macaws is essential for any potential owner. Introduction to Parrot Farms

bird breeders in US
When it comes to finding the perfect feathered companion, choosing a reputable bird breeder is crucial to ensure the health, temperament, and overall well-being of the bird. Whether you're looking for a playful parrot, a colorful canary, or a quiet budgie, responsible breeders in the U.S. focus on breeding birds that are healthy, socialized, and well-cared for. In this article, we will explore what to look for in a responsible bird breeder and highlight some of the top Bird breeders in U.S. who specialize in a variety of bird species.
What Makes a Responsible Bird Breeder?
A responsible bird breeder ensures that their birds are raised in an environment that promotes their health, well-being, and proper socialization. When looking for a bird breeder, it’s important to consider the following factors:
Health and Welfare: A reputable breeder will prioritize the health of their birds. They should conduct regular health checks, provide appropriate diets, and maintain a clean, safe living environment for their birds. A responsible breeder will also provide potential buyers with a health guarantee.
Socialization: Birds, especially parrots, require early socialization to develop friendly, confident, and well-adjusted personalities. A good breeder will expose the birds to various people, sounds, and environments, so they grow up comfortable and tame.
Transparency and Communication: A responsible breeder will be transparent about the breeding practices, the bird’s lineage, and any health issues that may arise. They will be willing to answer questions, offer advice, and provide ongoing support to buyers after the sale.
Ethical Breeding Practices: Look for breeders who follow ethical breeding practices, ensuring that they do not over-breed or engage in harmful practices. They should have a genuine passion for the birds they breed and a focus on improving the species.
Bird Legality and Registration: Some bird species are regulated or require permits to breed, sell, or own. A good breeder will follow all local and federal regulations related to bird breeding and sales. They should also provide the necessary documentation regarding the bird’s origin and lineage.
Breeder Reputation: Look for breeders with a good reputation in the bird community. Reading reviews, speaking with previous customers, or consulting bird clubs can provide valuable insight into a breeder’s practices.
