Nesse mesmo dia, há 3 anos atrás eu acordava às 05:00 da manhã pra poder ver o enhypen debutar, e hoje, eu acordo nesse mesmo horário pra poder comemorar essa data que é mais especial pra mim do que meu próprio aniversário.

Todo dia 30/11 eu fico melancólica, pois é como ver eles pela primeira vez de novo. Deve ser por que eu ainda me lembro de cada coisa que eu fiz e da sensação que senti, uma sensação que nunca posso esquecer (uma sensação de orgulho). E essa mesma sensação eu carrego até agora, pois mesmo depois de anos eles ainda me enchem de felicidade e prazer.

Desde que eu conheci eles minha vida nunca foi a mesma, e eu sou muito grata por eles me proporcionarem isso. Já que o enhypen me ajudou em muita coisa, e até mesmos quando eu pensava em acabar com tudo os únicos que me faziam ficar foram esses meninos que mais parecem anjos.

Dos meus 13 anos até os 16, eu não só aprendi sobre eles e sim com eles também, e claro que se eu pudesse eu agradeceria por tudo que eles fizeram por mim mesmo sem saber.

Amar o enha foi achar uma luz no fim do túnel, ter melhores amigos de verdade, ter um família, achar um porto seguro, conseguir me acalmar nos momentos mais ruins apenas com uma voz, chorar só por ver eles felizes, ser ciumenta, brigar na internet, entre outras coisas que fiz sendo engene. Mas simplificando, ter eles desde a época do i-land até os dias atuais foi incrível, e eu posso dizer com toda a certeza que o enhypen foi a melhor parte da minha adolescência, uma parte que quero levar até a minha velhice.

No fundo do meu coração eu desejo ter eles juntinhos por muito muito tempo, e que a cada ano eu possa vir e lembrar dessa data, a data de quando tudo começou e ficar mais grata ainda por ter ficado curiosa e ter ido atrás desse grupo.

E eu espero que mesmo de longe eles saibam que são os amores da vida e que eu sempre vou amar cada um com toda a minha alma, pois a alma nunca morre.

Hey, it’s Another Shane O Mac Story Hour!

The Tale of the Drunken Bowling

(Please forgive me for this one, the details in my mind aren’t nearly as clear as the underwear story, so there’s some stuff that will be fudged or possibly incorrect) So, today’s story takes us back once more to an episode of Byte This on WWF-dot-com. As a quick refresher, this was an early internet podcast type show where people called in to talk to their favorite superstars in a non-kayfabe setting. The show was run out of the New Media department which Shane McMahon was the president of.

Today's episode didn’t specifically feature Shane McMahon in person. Actually, it didn’t feature *any* superstar in person, the superstar that was featured in the episode (who I forget) wasn’t in the studio. They phoned their stuff in. In the studio proper, moderating the episode, was Kevin Kelly and a second person who I CANNOT for the life of me remember. I *think* it was either Bruce Pritchard or Michael Cole, but I can’t be sure. If I had to wager a guess between the two, based on the nature of the story, I’d say Michael Cole. This is a young man’s story.

(Oh, and if anyone out there has a better recollection of this story than I do, please feel free to help fill in the gaps. My memory for Shane anecdotes is good but not perfect.)

Anyway, the show went on as normal, no hiccups or oddities. When the superstar of the show logged off, however, there were about ten minutes left of showtime that the two hosts needed to fill with something. So, they decided to tell a funny story that had happened recently involving their boss Shane O Mac.

See, Shane, as stated in the previous story, was an odd duck at that age, and had no problem cutting loose. So, one weekend, he took the New Media department out for some bowling. But not just any bowling...

DRUNKEN BOWLING.

As in, the entire lot of them got shitfaced. I don’t know how many of them were there, but they were loud, and they were drunk and as the night was ending and it was time to go home, one of them, I don’t have any idea who, proposed a wager to Shane (who was quite drunk himself). This person challenged Shane, as drunk as he was, to beat them on the final frame. (I think. Again, the details on this one are somewhat sketchy, but I know it was the final frame.) They told Shane that they could bowl a better score on the final frame than he could. Shane, always far too up for a challenge, asked what was in it for him. The guy replied that, well, if Shane could out bowl him in the final frame, they’d all come in an hour early on Monday. BUT, if he could out bowl Shane, then Shane had to let them all come in an hour late.

Now, the impression I got was that whoever this was was a damn good bowler, and the rest of the guys thought this was a SPLENDID idea, there was no way in hell Shane, pissdrunk, was going to out bowl him. But again, Shane has that damn McMahon pride and like some Mean Street Marty McFly is physically incapable of backing down when challenged, so he says, Ok, fine. Let’s do this.

Well, the other guy goes first, and even drunk, he’s a fantastic bowler. He scores two strikes in a row and, on the last frame, only misses 2. The guys are STOKED, there’s no way Shane can beat that!

Then, it’s Shane’s turn.

Like the badass he is, he picks up his ball, and bowls the first shot – STRIKE.

Everyone is like, “Ok, whatever, he got lucky”

Second ball goes – STRIKE.

Now people are getting nervous, what the fuck?

And then, the final ball. Everyone is waiting and, of course because it’s Shane, he rolls – STRIKE.

A perfect final frame.

Everyone there is heartbroken. They’re all sitting there calculating if they rush home just how long do they have to sleep off their hangovers before having to be to work early the next morning.

Shane, meanwhile, is just BEAMING. Another challenge conquered. He cheerfully tells everyone that “Well, I guess you’re all coming in at 7:00 tomorrow!”

Everyone groans. Damn Shane.

But then, suddenly, Shane starts cackling.

“NAH! I'm just kidding. I’ll see you all at 9:00.”

He gave them the extra hour anyway.

Now, the theory that the pair telling the story had was that Shane was just as drunk as they all were, he very likely didn’t want to come in at 7:00 himself either. But, as someone who spent most of her youth with medication induced ADHD can tell you, hyperactive people have a habit of NOT SLEEPING AT ALL so my money is on Shane just being that damn chill. Again, I could be wrong on several details here, this episode aired 20 years ago and I haven’t seen it since, but this is what I remember and I’m giving it back to all of you here.
