also thinking about my annoyance with xXxT3HPenGu1N0ofD00mxXx wannabes in the ''phonk music'' (it really is just fucking drift) community with artist names that r3pl4c3 letters or put different LVTTXRS in the most obscure stupid places to be ''hip and cool''. and also the warping of meaning when something becomes overshared/popular/whatever (apparently thanks to tiktok phonk as a genre was generalised but transformed into what bitches actually call drift. also music genres are on one hand super great to find specific songs but on the other hand so extremely stupidly specifically limiting it drives me nuts. or should i say it DRIFTS me nuts)
