Tumblr media Tumblr media
Evelyn Trevelyan, Leah Rutherford's sister, lives in Henford-on-Bagley with her family - Thom Blackwall and twins Lydia and Samuel. Evelyn is pregnant again with their third child. They run a small farm and Thom also makes some money selling crafts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They adore each other and rarely even interact with other people beyond Evelyn's sisters Leah and Anne. Thom had a slight case of panic when they first found out Evelyn was pregnant, since he had never considered himself father material, but he quickly gathered his resolve into proposing instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The twins have been a handful to raise, even for two parents working from home. Lydia is sunny and inquisitive whereas Samuel is a more aggressive and clingy kind of toddler, but they both have each other's backs.

Hey Lydia-Isaac! I've been replaying Inquisition and taking out a party of Sera-Blackwall-Dorian, and it really bothers me how classist Dorian keeps being to Blackwall? Not that Blackwall doesn't also attack him, but it does come across very differently to me. I couldn't find anything you've written on the topic, so I wanted to ask what you though about that. Hope you're having a great day :D
Dorian is definitely classist, yeah. It comes out as hostile mostly with Blackwall for some reason, but there's other dialogue has with Sera for example that also show this. Example:
Dorian: I have only one question, Sera: did you cut your own hair?
Sera: Yeah. Why wouldn't I?
Dorian: You could try using something other than a rusty butter knife.
Sera: Oh, excuse me while I dig up my diamond-studded hair-cutter whatevers.
As someone who grew up impoverished and will always be low income because of life circumstances, it does irk me. But I see it as an intentional character flaw that's supposed to irk you, not just Dorian being a mouthpiece for some greater narrative push at least.

The Muses: Eloise Trevelyan
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though initially quite devastated when her proud family all but disowned her after she displayed a 'disgusting and shameful' penchant for magical skill at a usually late age, Eloise was not terribly broken up about relinquishing her role as the next Lady of house Trevelyan. She flourished, doing well for herself in the Circle, until tensions from the Rebellion came to a head when one of her fellows murdered First Enchanter Lydia, sparking the Templars to call for the right of Annulment. 1-7 of Fanfic Writers ask, please and thank you 😁
Thank you!
1. What’s your favorite character(s) to write for?
So many! Cullen and Lydia of course, but moving on from DA I love writing Arthur Morgan and Charlotte Balfour from Rdr2, and I loved writing Connor and his girl Sophie in my time writing for DBH. I’m enjoying writing my new Warden OC at the moment, because he’s such a gallant, mercurial, and all around jovial guy with a soft spot.
2. What character(s) do you find the most difficult to write for? Why?
Hmmm, probably Solas. there’s a reason he isn’t in In Waking Dreams that much, even though I do head cannon he and Lydia have a good relationship, that of a mentor/mentee. I was told I write Morrigan well, but sometimes she can be a challenge in finding the right balance between snarky and cynical and warm.
3. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve written from [Fanfic Name] story/chapter?
In Waking Dreams my favorite scene is when Cullen and Lydia have their final night together before she leaves to fight Corypheus. The romance in that scene I think is pretty off the charts, and it always makes me flutter.
4. Did you have any ideas that didn’t make the final cut of [Fanfic Name]?
In In Waking Dreams Blackwall was going to crush on Lydia. I cut this because she already has romantic drama from her ex templar boyfriend.
5. Do you listen to music when writing?
Sometimes a song will guide me through a scene, to the point where I will put it on repeat when I write. Sometimes though silence is really helpful.
6. If you listen to music when writing, what were you listening to when writing [Fanfic Name]?
Well, Cullen and Lydia’s song is “Try” by Pink! For In Waking Dreams. In my modern AU it’s “Time of the My Life” from Dirty Dancing I wish I could change the title SO BAD
7. What story/headcanons do you feel the proudest of?
I’m proud of all my finished fanfics. IWD because it was the first, Our Immortal Longings because it was a passion project, and The sweetest sorrow and love Song on Sapphire Isle (jaime and Brienne fic) because I hopped back into them after losing an initial passion. Soon that will be Anyway You Want it as well :D
thanks for the ask! Writer asks

Imma Talk about my Garbage Kids
I’m just gonna start chatting bout my Dragon age ocs first… then might move to different fandoms/groups depending on my mood… this is probably all gonna be text so feel free to just move past it without a second thought these are just my garbage children, and yes I realize most of them are women, I don’t have a problem playing as male characters I’m just gay and I tend to fall for the girls I build and get distracted.
Dragon Age Origins
Roslynn Cousland- Shes this strong smart steadfast woman, a warrior, she romanced and married Alistair, and they rule fereldan together, she leads the warden team situation
Elizabeth Amell- Shes motherly and persistent, once she sets her mind to something it must be completed, she's a mage, became a warden to get out of the tower and see the world and to help, she fell for Leliana, and she fell hard.
Rayne Amell- shes a lot like purple Hawke in terms of her personality, she is an apostate, and joined up with the Troops at ostigar as a warrior and offered herself to the wardens to help the war effort she joined up with Roslynn and the others at lothering after escaping the battle and managed miraculously to capture Morrigians heart.
Alim Surana- outgoing and charming he’s Maria’s elder brother, he joins the wardens with Elizabeth, sires Kieran for the ritual and spends however long he has left traveling the land killing dark pawn, bitter about what happened to his sister.
Shaewyn Ashanyla- stubborn, Melancholic, persuasive. She is formerly of the clan Ghilain and joined the wardens after contracting the blight through accidentally swallowing Darkspawn blood, she was a big help to the team and after the blight ended she was around Perelman helping people recover for about 3 years before she was sent on the road where she met her apostate wife.
Nyani Mahariel- Stubborn, free-willed and adventurous she was a great warrior for her clan till of course she contracted the blight and became a warden, she loved Tamlen more than she loved anything and never really got over him (and for Au purposes they became wardens together but in terms of canon game…)
Tatiana Tabris- Shes a stubborn strong-willed thief from denerim, she fell for Zevran and never ended up becoming a blight carrying warden but she was a great help to the team
Maria Surana- a shy, nervous, anxiety-ridden friend to Amell and Jowen. Though she was supposed to face her harrowing it didn't come before the whole thing that happened at the tower and in her fear of becoming tranquil she escaped in all the fuss and turned to blood magic on the road defending herself from wolves, she was eventually hunted down and made tranquil. Elizabeth took her in as an assistant when she found out about what happened
Kya Aeducan- a stubborn, but Charming dwarven princess who would stop at nothing to avenge her elder brother and claim what was rightfully hers, she's a warrior, and she ended up kindling feelings for Natia Brosca while she traveled with the Wardens.
Natia Brosca- slippery sweet-talking duster, she was conscripted into the wardens but never officially joined… slippery and all that, she stuck around at Kya’s promise to get her back to Orzimmar, back to her family, eventually she caught feels for the future Queen of Orzimmar (personal au and all that)
Dragon Age 2
Marian Hawke- purple verging red for personality, she was the warrior champion and is the oldest of the four of the siblings she supports her teammates and cares for all of them… maybe not Sebastian… he just rubs her the wrong way… she and Anders got together and she would do anything for him
Garrett Hawke- purple-blue Marians younger brother, friendly with everyone including Sebastian, he's a mage and he managed to capture Fenris’ heart
Lana Pentaghast- shes devout and kind, she related to Cassandra obviously and she got with Sebastian, she was in Kirkwall for reasons I haven't decided yet and joined the champions merry gang of misfits because well over anything else they *were* helping people even if the methods were unorthodox
Dragon Age Inquisition
Lydia Trevelyan- Sweet, clever, stubborn, Lady mage inquisitor and herald to Andraste, she brought the world to its knees with charm and wit and built an army to kill a god, and she romanced Cullen.
Jacob Trevelyan- he's charming and funny and genuinely based off Alistair for personality, he's formerly a templar, and is a warrior, Lydia’s older brother he helped in her endeavor to heal the world and found love in Cassandra
Leros Lavellan- witty, persuasive, charming, he's the oldest of his right knit siblings and the first to his clan he found himself charmed by Dorian and at Lydia’s side as a close friend.
Elissa Lavellan- strongwilled and caring with a bit of a temper she's a middle child with a sword and shield and is close with both of her siblings, she found affection in Solas and would listen as he spun tales of the old days to her and she was absolutely heartbroken when he left.
Lyna Lavellan- outgoing adventurous bad for her brothers health she is the youngest of the three lavellan kids and is quite skilled with a bow, she tends to be the glue that holds her siblings together because though Elissa is the second she has the protective nature of a first child which she shares with Leros and their stubborn natures tend to but heads, she fell into Seras arms romantically at the end of it all.
Persephone Adaar- oldest of the Adaar siblings and a mage she takes care of her siblings more as a mother than a sister seeing as they were raised with mercenaries. She fell for Iron bull in the end and travels with the chargers.
Freyja Adaar- she and her twin Tyr have considered 2nd cause none of them are really sure who was first. But Freyja’s fast hands and quick tongue land her in more than enough trouble with Perse and pretty much everyone else she ans Josie are happy together.
Tyr Adaar- hes tired and protective of his siblings, he would’ve made a fine agent of the qun had his parents not defected.
Eir Adaar- youngest of the bunch and the only one that is only half qunari her father having been an elf, she tends to be shorter than the rest of her siblings and has a… particular outlook on life not shared by many.
Opal Cadash- shes a sweet-talking fast-fingered surface dwarf with strong Carta presence shes the oldest child, she fell for Blackwall
Amber Cadash- Opals younger take no shit warrior sister.

OC Introduction - Cassia Cadash
Tumblr media
Had to make one for Cassia too! My fave little pebble. Template by @slothssassin
Fandom: Dragon Age Inquisition
Role: Inquisitor
Class: Warrior / Weapon and Shield
Specialisation: Champion
Basics
Full Name: Cassia Yrsa Cadash
Nickname(s): C, Pebble, Cass, Cassie, ‘Dash
Pronouns: She/Her
Sexuality: Bisexual
Occupation and Titles: Inquisitor
Birthday: 1 Justinian, 9:16 Dragon(25 at the Conclave)
Physical Description: Cassia stands at a petite 4′11″ tall, with dark brown skin(warm undertones) and shoulder length curly hair. She has warm golden-brown eyes and a tattoo covering much of her face. She has a scar that runs vertically down her lip, and another on her right eyebrow. Despite her height she’s incredibly muscular, with well-defined biceps and abs and curves to boot.
Clothing Style: She wears mostly practical clothing accentuated with a little hint of gold(whether it be a necklace, bracelet, or breastplate). She favors red and orange tones, as well as off-white and cream colors, with the occasional poofy pink dress.
Background
Cassia had a very happy, healthy childhood. She was born into House Cadash, and roamed throughout the Free Marches with her family during much of her childhood. From her early life, she had a passion for fighting. After she witnessed a Grand Tourney, however, her interest only grew. She began training and soon became a better fighter than all her brothers. Her family is quite large, uncommonly so for dwarves. She has three brothers, Ivar, Sigi, and Halvard. She also has a younger sister, Carra.
Throughout much of Cassia’s youth, she and her siblings were groomed and taught the ways of the Carta. Their parents adjusted some of their education to fit these needs, and thus Cassia became just as well-suited to dining with an Orlesian noble as the more violent crime the Carta is known for. She and her sister became expert smugglers and diplomats, while her brothers maintained the more gritty aspects of their family’s dealings. This worked very well for a while, until Cassia was sent(as the Cadash family’s finest negotiator) to spy on the Conclave.
After the Conclave, everything changes for Cassia. She loses contact with her family for a time and becomes Andraste’s Herald. She embraces her role eventually, and learns to accept her new place in the world as she is named Inquisitor. As an exceptional warrior and kind, pious woman, she leads the Inquisition with a strength of will and faith rivaling that of the greatest heroes of Thedas. She sought to represent something greater than herself  - that anything is possible, if you fight for it. And she did.
During the Inquisition’s fight to defeat Corypheus, she meets Blackwall, a Grey Warden. Initially, she values his honesty and determination. Soon, she values his company, sharing quiet words with him outside of Haven and in Skyhold’s courtyard. She grows to love him, quicker than she probably should. Later they confess their feelings for each other and begin a relationship. After Revelations, Cassia is shattered. Heartbroken, lost, and lonely, she desperately searches for answers. She feels guilty for still loving him. Guilty that she let him stay. But she did - she chose to give him a second chance, and for that he is forever in her debt.
After the Exalted Council, Cassia and Thom marry and buy a plot of land outside of Markham to settle down on. Soon after, their daughter Lydia follows. Then, a few years later, their son Matthias. And finally, their youngest daughter, Elisa.
Read more about the Rainiers here.
With her family to protect, Cassia fights even fiercer. Maker help anyone who gets between a mama bear and her cubs- she will strike down even a god.
Combat & Skills
Preferred Fighting Style: She fights mostly defensively, preferring to preserve her strength for that last push. She darts in between foes, striking from the side or back while an ally attacks them from the front.
Favorite Weapon: Her sword. Also, maces, axes and pikes. Anything heavy and made of steel.
Magical Abilities: None, except for the Anchor.
Special Skills: Other than being very convincing, none.
Relationships
Family: Her parents, Ingrid and Arvid. Her brothers Ivar, Sigi and Halvard, and sister Carra. Also her children, Lydia, Matthias, and Elisa.
Love Interest: Blackwall/Thom Rainier
Best Friends: Blackwall, Cassandra, Varric, Sera, Cole, Iron Bull, Josephine
Personality
Positive Traits: Determined, Forgiving, Intelligent
Negative Traits: Stubborn, Skeptical, Too Honest
Likes: Frilly Orlesian Dresses, Jousting, Receiving Letters
Dislikes: Dull Blades, Bad Ale, and Stupid Men.
Fears: Being Lost, The Unknown, and The Fade.
Guilty Pleasure: Wearing dresses. She doesn’t often get to dress up, so she takes every opportunity she can get, especially at the Winter Palace. The wow factor is off the charts.
Hobbies: Playing the Game, managing her family’s finances, sparring with Bull

Snowdrops - Chapter 15 [link]
Chapters: 15/? Fandom: Dragon Age (Video Games) Relationships: Teagan Guerrin/Female Warden, Alistair/Warden (Dragon Age), Alistair/Anora Mac Tir/Warden, Connor Guerrin/Dorian Pavus Characters: Female Warden (Dragon Age), Female Cousland, Female Inquisitor (Dragon Age), Teagan Guerrin, Alistair (Dragon Age), Connor Guerrin, Cassandra Pentaghast, Varric Tethras, Solas (Dragon Age), Blackwall (Dragon Age), Sera (Dragon Age), Dorian Pavus, Iron Bull, Josephine Montilyet, Leliana (Dragon Age), Cullen Rutherford, Morrigan (Dragon Age), Original Characters, Cole (Dragon Age) Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Canon-Typical Violence, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD, Autistic Character, Asexual Character
After the Blight, Elissa Cousland thought she was done with war. She passed the titles of Warden-Commander and arl to her second in command, and married the love of her life, Teagan Guerrin. A decade of relative peace passes, until the Circles dissolve, and Redcliffe becomes a refuge for escaped mages. Elissa goes to the Conclave to speak on their behalf, and deal with reports of Darkspawn in the area surrounding Haven.
And so, the Hero of Ferelden becomes the Herald of Andraste by accident.
IMPORTANT: I will be slowing down to one chapter per week. I have not been able to work on writing new content for this in a few weeks, but I don’t want to keep people waiting if I hit the end of what I have.
A chapter from Alet Surana’s point of view! Alet is non-binary and uses they/them/their pronouns, and suffers from chronic pain in their legs. And, since I can’t remember if I mentioned it before or not, Maeve is Alistair and Anora’s daughter, she’s the same age as Lydia. (Less important, I HC that Carver was stationed at Vigil’s Keep)
Next chapter will be up on 4/21! Elissa goes to find Cullen, the Wardens in Skyhold all meet up, and two people admit they like each other :’)

55 or 93 for Blackwall/Evelyn? :)
55. “I’m not going anywhere.”The first time he says it she’s half-delirious from potions and pain, eyelids heavy as she blinks, twice, trying to focus her eyes on something inside the tent. A fire, she thinks. A fire in the near distance and a crowd of people, their smells and sounds falling into the slow beat of her body where she lies. People who had been running with her, escaping; she can see it if she closes her eyes again, all the shattered movements of them, their erratic little flight. Haven. As the memory returns, Evelyn flinches and tries to sit up.
“My lady.” A hand on her arm. “You shouldn’t. Strict orders from the healers.”“You-” she turns her head, meets his gaze. It’s troubled but calm, like him. A quiet spot in a storm. “Thank you.”He frowns, leaning forward slightly. She imagines sometimes that she would like to run a finger across the worry-wrinkles in his face, smooth them out with her calloused skin. Melt into him, mend him or herself - or possibly wreck them both. “Whatever for?” he asks, his voice low and hoarse, like he’s holding his breath. Evelyn thinks about the nightmare she fought through, thinks about his eyes then and the depths in them, the hollow burning pain consuming them all. “You’re here,” she replies, not certain how to phrase everything she could say, how to even think it. “I’m not going anywhere, my lady.” “Good.” She lets her head sink back into the pillow, allows the immense exhaustion to take over her body again. Before she closes her eyes she imagines she can see a brief little smile on his lips. –The first time she says it he wishes she hadn’t. “I’m not going anywhere.” She stands with her legs apart, arms folded across her chest and the imagine of her is a damn blow but he has sworn it, a hundred bloody times over, sworn not to be the man he is. Skyhold is hers now and he’s been pushing himself away ever since they arrived. At times he wonders if the confusion is what makes her so angry and insistent; at times he wonders if some witch back in Haven has turned her head because there is no reason the Lady Inquisitor would look at him twice. No, he corrects himself. Not you, but Blackwall.  Even so it astonishes him. “My lady, don’t.” “Blackwall-”He leaves the room before she has a chance to finish her sentence, runs like the coward he is. –There’s a soft rustle of worry sweeping through her mind when he breaches the distance between them, a note of doubt rising from her self-preservation. She tells him he’s a good man even though she can’t possibly know. The Wardens recruit at the gallows and it echoes through her but Blackwall smells of rain and metal and his breath on her skin makes her boneless with the kind of want she has never known existed. She tells him he’s a good man, that he deserves her; he kisses her until her blood burns and her fingers dig into his shoulders, her voice rough as it slips out of her in gasps against the hollow of his throat. “Don’t leave.”“Not going anywhere now. My lady.”The worry can’t be quelled but Evelyn pulls him down over her body, presses herself into his embrace until their shared motions drown out everything else. –He’s back in Skyhold, back in a life he stole and wrung inside out, tore to pieces and bled dry along with everyone in it. “Spare your melodramatics,” Evelyn tells him, hard and sharp and hurt. He can spot the wound every time he looks at her, flinches at how raw it still is, how deep it goes. “I’m not going anywhere. You’re not, either.”“You could have just let me hang.” Her eyes then, when she locks her gaze with his and Thom has to look away; the horror in them, the way she breaks at his suggestion. “No,” she says. “I couldn’t.”–And that morning in her bed. Sunlight in patterns that stretch across his chest, making the hair there seem golden or silvery; sunlight on his face that gradually comes to life as she presses her lips to his cheek. I love you, she thinks and it means more when she doesn’t say it out loud, the weight of thoughts are higher, less flighty. Around them Thedas shudders and shatters but they have survived everything thus far and Evelyn looks at the place where her hand used to be, where the bleeding Fade used to be, and wonders how many more times she will survive everything. “Good morning,” she mumbles, feeling invincible. Thom stirs, blinks. And smiles. “My lady.”“Still?” “Huh?” He’s too slow for banter, still halfway asleep. She kisses the corners of his mouth, brushes her healthy hand up along his side, leaving goosebumps behind. “You still call me my lady.”He kisses her back, soft and eager. “You’re still here. So, yes.”“Not going anywhere,” she says, her voice muffled as she shifts position beside him and he pulls her tighter against him. –So many times over the years that follow, each day a new opportunity for the promise that has become part of their routine. They are never married in the eyes of the Chantry. They are nothing but married in the eyes of everyone else. There’s a black-haired baby girl a few years after the Inquisition disbands. Lydia. Terrible timing being born into a war but she has strong lungs and an even stronger heart and she lives as stubbornly as her parents. Looks just like her mother and Thom is breathless with worry, with fear, with love every time the girl places a sticky fist in his palm or - later on - asks for forgiveness for one of her multitude of pranks and mischief. He always looks the other way; Lydia is his in a way that nothing else on this earth has ever been and it nearly kills him to think about it like that.   They buy a home, a dog. They make do with what they have and they have so much. A few years after Solas forces the ground beneath their feet to burn once more, Lydia has a little sister and Evelyn nearly dies but doesn’t, in the end. Anne is larger, quieter, more robust and less prone to adventure and Thom sees himself in the girl’s eyes, sees himself and is forced to kiss away bruises and blisters, soothe as her clumsy little child-heart is upset and Evelyn watches them sometimes, a strange expression on her face. Friends come and go in their house, they travel as often as they can, they work hard and keep their spirits up even in times of bad news as the years pass by around them. They make do with what they have and they have so much. –The last time and he’s wrapped around her in the large bed, they’re both grey but his arms are still thick and strong around her vanishing body. He kisses the bridge of her nose, her forehead, mutters things about the qunari or the elves, old war stories they’ve both outlived though they never imagined they would. There are injuries that have mended into scars and then further into nothing; children that are grown women, wives, mothers; nations rising and falling into shadows. They’ve outlived so many things and for so long that she cannot fault their world for ending now. Once, a couple of months ago when she understood where it was going, this disease that has been growing in her, she had looked at Thom and he had nodded. That is all they have ever said about it; there are no words for certain things in life. Even now, with the draught in their mouths and bodies, there are no words. Evelyn closes her eyes, opens them again. Thom still looks at her and there’s a warmth there at the bottom of his gaze that floods her still. “I’m not going anywhere,” he whispers, one last time.

What's the most interesting place Seb and Judy/Lydia and Isabela/Rota and Blackwall have banged (¬‿¬) (asking for all 3 couples)
Oh gosh.
Judy’s got pretty simple needs, but one day Sebastian discovered that she has a fondness for clothed sex, so that can lead to some adventure. That combined with her contempt for nobles and how draining their parties can be…eventually lead to him bending her over the banister at Comte So-and-So’s soiree with no one the wiser.
Lydia likes the finer things, likes being comfortable, but when you’re on a ship fleeing your old life with your pirate gf…finer comforts are hard to come by. Isabela tried to meet her halfway by whisking her up to a lighthouse. It worked, but they might have sent a ship or two off course.
Rota and Thom is difficult to say because they will do the do almost anywhere. It might be most “interesting” when they sleep together in Rota’s actual room. That, or the time they ran off in the Hinterlands to have some private time at a spring, only to have a bear take their clothes, and they has to walk back to camp naked.

Tumblr media
@numbaoneflaya sent this tho my ask was temporarily turned off due to mobile bein shitty and me not realizing it was off lol
love note: who likes who? crushes? relationships? are they mutual or unrequited?
It’s a bit of a mess considering all the aus i’ve got around, but mostly with canon you’ve got:
Bryn & Erik: married in skyrim, dating in SR
Atla & Tulius: Affair in both skyrim & SR
Esmeree & Vex: vex stole esmeree’s heart and also her coin purse. esmeree is her affectionate fling.
Esmeree used to have a thing with brynden, but it was only ever casual.
Mitchell & Farkas & Lydia: will most likely end up in a polyamorous thing tbh
Visneya & Nazir & Muiri: polyamorous relationship.
Visenya used to be married to a high-elf man, but her husband was murdered prior to her fleeing the summerset isles. they had a son, though she has no idea where he is or if he’s alive.
Etienne & Dorian: in a committed relationship but probably not gonna get married
Garth & Anders: happily married
Jon & Zevran: committed relationship, not formally married but do consider themselves to be married
Kat & Cassandra: soft butch gfs, long-distance life partners
Brylee & Alysanne: were girlfriends once, broke it off because they wanted different things
Brylee & Vivienne: unmarried but happily together, consider themselves to be lifepartners. murder mom and elegant mom.
Zeus & Aurora & Bull: married, deeply in love, sweet rowdy nerds.
Ser Richard & Blackwall: unmarried brokeback bfs but with less tragedy and more bears
compass: who's the moral compass? in general: what are your OCs' morality like? do they have high morals, or not? are their morals self imposed, or do they base their morals on religion/family/influence of others?
Jon, Mitchell, & Zeus tend to be the morally upstanding ones tbh. The others have morals too, just they tend to be more willing to throw them aside in the moment of need or their morals tend to be more fast and loose.
on one end of the scale Bryn & Jon’s morals are largely based on family influence. on the other end, etienne & brylee & visenya’s morals are the more self imposed ones.
track & field: which (if any) of your OCs are athletic? what sports to they play? which of your OCs would go HARD in P.E.?
all of them are athletic to an extent, though some more than others. garth would prolly go the hardest in PE lol. as for sports:
Bryn played soccer from elementary - high school. he called it football obvs cause he’s irish (but im callin it soccer. fuck football)
Mitchell & his brother Gabriel both played hockey.
Jon & Garth would’ve both played hockey too given the chance. Jon would’ve figure skated, Garth would’ve done waterskiing, and both would’ve killed it at basketball & volleyball.
Etienne faulkes is a parkour man through and through.
Kat isn’t a huge athlete, but would’ve played hockey too.

Dragon Age Questions
01) favorite game of the series? This is actually a tough question! Both in terms of game play and story, DA2 is the most fun for me to play, and probably the one I have played the most. However, DAO and DAI have my favorite OCs, and are the ones I spend the most time on when I play.
02) how did you discover Dragon Age? I played Mass Effect on a whim after seeing it on tumblr once, which led me to all the other Bioware games!
03) how many times you’ve played the games? DA:O – 6 times, every Origin except for city elf. DA2: – Approximately 10 times DA:I – 5 times, with 1 or 2 aborted play throughs
04) favorite race to play as? Oh man, I don’t even have a favorite. As long as I have a story that resonates with me, I truly enjoy playing. The only race I haven’t played is a dwarf in DAI.
05) favorite class? Sword and shield warrior in DAO and DAI, and a rogue in DA2.
06) do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time. It really depends. The only choices I change are role playing decisions in DAO, based on the story that my OC has going on. For example, conversation decisions about the Chantry, racial issues, or attitude. Actual story decisions rarely change in that game. In DA2, I almost always support the mages, but the degree to which I do so changes based on the character. Only once did my character change at the end and support the templars due to the death of her mother at the hand of the blood mage. DAI is where I change the most based on my character’s goals, which is likely because you can do so without being an evil bastard.
07) go-to adventuring group? DAO: Morrigan, Leliana, and Oghren/Zevran. The sass group!
DA2: This usually depends on my character, but usually Merrill, Fenris, and Varric.
DA:I: This is probably the game where I change the most based on who is best for the quest. Usually my romance, Cassandra/Blackwall, and Sera.
08) which of your characters did you put the most thought into? Definitely Lydia Cousland. Her story just came to me so quickly, and I just couldn’t stop writing. Whenever I want to pick up the game, I can jump into her story and just feel right at home.
09) favorite romance? I really have one per game, I couldn’t choose between them. Leliana is such a beautiful romance with fantastic pay off and just relevant enough to the story to keep you thinking about it the whole game long. Fenris from DA2 narrowly beats out Isabela, but I love them both for the same reason. The way that they change over the course of the game, and how devoted they get to you by the end is truly romantic. In DAI, I suppose it would have to be Solas. Sera’s was a BLAST, but Solas beats her out because I love heartbreak.
10) have you read any of the comics/books? I’ve read some of them, and I’m actually getting into them more now. They are rather simple, but I love the way they open up new stories and avenues for your characters behind the scenes.
11) if you read them, which was your favorite book? The Masked Empire. I love Celene and Briala so damn much.
12) favorite DLCs? Oh man, that’s tough. Probably Jaws of Hakkon and Trespasser.
13) things that annoy you? I don’t believe these games are perfect in any way, but the things I often see people complaining  about are things that I acknowledge but they don’t actively bother me. The most frustrating things for me are the ‘‘subverting’‘ of stereotypes by making butch-coded characters straight, the dearth of gay male options, the lack of dwarven lore related to the end-games, some of the racial coding, and probably the way people treat DA2.
14) Orlais or Ferelden? Depends! I love how different they attempted to make the human civilizations, and I hope you can eventually make characters who are from different countries as well as different races.
15) Templars or Mages? I can truly appreciate the way the games went back and tried to make us understand the hardships of the templars, so much so that I actually made a templar character. However, no matter how much they try to make the situations equal, they just aren’t. Mages.
16) if you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one? Separate! Definitely. I cannot possibly play in a world knowing one of my own is out there somewhere but I can’t see them.
17) what did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc) So many names... Ragnor and Crixus are my favorites though!
18) have you installed any mods? Only recently have I started using mods, and as much as they have helped me make my vision for my characters truly come to life, I could get rid of them in a second. They are helpful, but they aren’t necessary to my enjoyment.
19) did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden? Clarissa Surana did, as well as Nadia Brosca.
Lydia Cousland only did it originally for revenge on Arl Howe, M Aeducan did it to get back to his homeland one day, and Marika Mahariel wanted to survive.
20) Hawke’s personality? I generally play as a purple Hawke, because it is such a unique experience to DA2. I can play a Blue or Red character in the other games no problem, so why would I miss out on a chance to be so much fun! A couple of my boys are Red, but my rogue ladies are all Purple.
21) did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition? NOT
22) if your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change? Lydia Cousland is confident she did everything she could in her life, but if there was any way AT ALL she could have saved her family, she would have done it.
Adrian Hawke would have never gone into the Deep Roads.
Lanaya Lavellan is feeling very guilty that she hasn’t stood up for her people, instead playing at war with the nations of Thedas, but that’s all going to change.
23) do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon? All the time!
Lydia Cousland is a widow. Clarissa Surana is originally a Dalish elf whose mother ran away from the clan with a human man who had been turned into a werewolf.
Arden got her tattoo after she was caught stealing in Lothering as a teenager. Her and Isabela stay together after the events of the game, and it is Arden who leaves Isabela in the dead of night on her ship to go to Skyhold. Isabela is PISSED.
Nala Adaar was raised in a remote human town and educated there. Even Trevelyan was a templar at the Conclave. Mira Trevelya was an active member of the Mage rebellion, and went to the Conclave as a spy for the mages.
24) are any of your character(s) based on someone? I start all my characters based on characters that already exist, before I flesh them out. I am not quite that creative to come up with characters from scratch. Lydia is based on the character from Shadowhunters, Adrian Hawke is based on Agron from Spartacus, Lanaya Lavellan is based on Lanaya from the Dalish camp in DAO, and so on.
25) who did you leave in the Fade? This changes all the time. I tend to leave Hawke in the fade if I feel like he or she has a strong tie to the guilt they feel about Corypheus being alive, or let Stroud die if my Inquisitor needs the Wardens to be redeemed in their eyes, as I don’t really like to banish them.
26) favorite mount? I rarely use horses, but I’m using one of the big creatures with antlers right now, and it’s pretty fucking cool. Just wish it was faster!

Character break-down: Vivienne!
How I feel about this character:
Elegant, fierce, regal, graceful, poised, powerful, great posture, and wonderful friend and mentor. Respect with Vivienne is earned, but when it is it’s for life. Also I adore her cheekbones.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
I don’t really? I would like to see/know more about her relationship with Bastien, but I don’t actively ship her with people. I saw once a few people ship her with Blackwall, and while I’m not opposed to it I’m not an active shipper.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
I should have explored this more in my fic, but I love the relationship between my Inquisitor Lydia and Vivienne. She’s her mentor and friend and
My unpopular opinion about this character
I have two. One: I don’t think she’s a bad choice for divine. I personally prefer Leliana but I don’t like Cassandra as divine at all, (mostly because I don’t think Cass wants it at all, and she deserves to do something she wants to do.) and Vivienne more so actively knows how to lead AND play the necessary game of chess. My second unpopular opinion is I understand why people may dislike Viv as a character, especially if one is pro-mage and do In hushed whispers, as lots of people do. without getting her approval high you don’t really see her hidden depths and how loyal she is.
But again, with Vivienne, respect is earned.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
Come on devs. She needed more content at the Winter Palace. ITS HER FREAKING ELEMENT OKAY AND YOU ROBBED US OF SEEING HER IN A BEAUTIFUL GOWN WTF
Give me a character!

who is your most trusting OC? Who is the least trusting?
AAARRGHHHHH YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THIS! YOU ARE SO GOOD AT PROMPTS! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!
Trust is honestly so fascinating. I wanted to order my three fave babes, sexy Hawke, Tobias Lavellan, and Kya Trevelyan from most to least trusting, because I think they represent a broad spectrum on the whole trust thing.
Most trusting - sexy Hawke
sexy Hawke is a compulsive liar; she loves bluffing and bullshitting and she won’t tell anyone her real name. Despite this, she is the most trusting person in Thedas.
She falls hard and fast in love with people, whether they’re friends or her lover, Isabela. She trusts people with her life and would never imagine they would betray her. This makes her a staunchly loyal and affectionate friend, but it also makes her really gullible. It’s very easy to pull a prank on sexy Hawke, but she loves it and she gives as good as she gets (and when she and Sera meet in Inquisition, well. Skyhold has never seen a more fierce prank war before or since).
More trusting than you’d think - Kya Trevelyan
Kya’s motto is “trust no-one” - it’s Rule no.1 for politics and Kya sticks to it. For the most part.
Kya is desperate for the approval and faith of others. She grew up with no-one she could rely on because her family distanced themselves from her when she was sent to the Ostwick Circle, and when she tried to get close to her mentor, Senior Enchanter Lydia, she was betrayed.
So while she thinks she is very discerning, she actually caves pretty easily to the slightest show of loyalty or support. For this reason she fully trusts Solas, and she also greatly admires Blackwall. Needless to say she is Very Upset and Angry the moment their secrets are revealed.
Least trusting - Tobias Lavellan
Ok, so you remember that thing from the first (and best) Pirates of the Caribbean movie - ‘you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest’? That’s exactly how Tobias Lavellan sees the world; the only thing she is willing to trust is that everybody is lying to her.
Being a Dalish elf, Toby has seen some of the worst humanity has to offer, and on top of that, her and her mother Delva are clan outcasts. So Toby feels like she can’t trust or rely on anyone apart from her mother.
This also means that she’s kind of just, resigned to it. It puts her mind at ease. She trusts that everyone is hiding something from her and just hopes that they won’t lie about the important stuff, like whether or not they like her (Toby always doubts whether people genuinely like her).
She immediately twigs that there’s something off with Solas. She flirts with him just for sport and he hits back with something unexpectedly smooth, betraying a side of himself that he keeps well hidden. Then he meets her in the fade, without telling her he was planning to do so. That’s a step too far. Toby keeps her distance from then on.
The same goes for Blackwall. Toby doesn’t trust anyone who talks too much about heroics; it usually means they possess very little. She isn’t the least bit surprised when his dark backstory comes to light. She gives him to the Wardens so he can finally make good on his lofty promises of being a hero.
ARGH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ASK AGAIN. YOU ARE GREAT. Trust is something I think about a lot.
