I've been watching the Lv99 Villainess anime, and I really have a soft spot for Eleanora.

Yeah, she's dumb and obsessed with a boy, but the latter is downplayed and the former just makes her kind. She's Spoiled Sweet leaning very much towards the sweet.

She's self-centred but not particularly selfish. She's more than happy to spend time with Yumiella not just for her own benefit, but because she genuinely enjoys her company, and for the most part is the only character in the series who simply does not want to obtain any sort of particular gain from Yumiella herself.

Eleanora is also perceptive enough to pick up on the vibes between Patrick and Yumiella but, crucially, doesn't suddenly make getting them together her crusade where she tries to force it. She drops hints from time to time, and dolls Yumiella up for special occasions with the intention of catching Patrick's eye, but then doesn't force anything after that. At the dance, she gets the two of them together then simply bows out to let them have their own time instead of shoving them together.

She hasn't really interacted with children yet (though I can't particularly imagine her being mean to kids), but she's good with Ryuu from the first moment, and never once shows any prejudice towards Yumiella's black hair or pseudo-metropolitan family.

The writers have taken the 'annoying best friend of the overpowered protagonist' character that exists in so many isekais and dialed down every one of the obnoxious traits just enough that they become endearing instead.

Eleanora Hillrose is a good kid and a good friend, and she does really well as a supporting cast member in the series.

i love that lamatyi still grieves for him. i love when characters in a video game are like player, you and I know them as this now, but i (plural) also knew them as someone else and that’s who I lost. the way every single person has a unique perception of you and a unique relationship with you and so everyone remembers you and keeps your memory alive a little bit different…so every time someone close to you dies, in a way, a version of you dies with them. the you that only they knew! and the him that only she knew, as his one and only little sister. same for gulool ja, knowing far too soon that the father he had hoped for had died long before his hopes had. & what if these perceptions and expectations of you felt more like crushing pressure and weight rather than closeness (because of your inability to understand closeness as anything but vulnerability) and you could never let go of that thought until you loathed them too…like if the memory that creates you via others’ perception of you is something that kills you, that you hate and need to exist at the same time. because you thought everyone made up their idea of you before you even knew yourself.

i’m in a way disappointed that his lol world domination aspirations were not complex political thoughts at all but the thrashings of a confused fool with problems disorders who could only think of himself, but at the same time I really like how they did that aspect of him. most interesting family in the game to me thus far

Yes, Just Riri view, everything just 2d Pixel like literally for them you know game, Riri can't take seriously of them, so, they don't care, kinda.

Its funny, my player coding as LV99 and HP99 so make sure they can't die and stay determination stats just breaking deltarune, fuck it that its I want trauma people my turn.
