1. What vibe do you want an OC to have when you first introduce them? Are there any very specific introduction scenes you have in mind for a particular OC?

So I think it definitely depends on the specific oc themselves tbh! I do have some specific character intros in mind though!

so when Cassidy is first introduced it's in a chapter from Armitage's (who's very much the everyman audience stand-in, the only individual human with significance in a story about the fae) point of view; all he knows is Cassidy is his new fae partner's informant and he's so by-the-book that he expects someone very professional - not at all the vampire pickpocketing ppl while panhandling and playing the fiddle for spare change

and in tps, there are characters who get multiple introductions based on whose point of view the chapter is from (it alternates between Dean and Derek mostly, with a few others probably tossed in occasionally) so Dean's family tends to get introduced once by him then again to Derek and the differences are to show how they seem from a family member's pov and a stranger's

most noticeably I have a scene planned where Derek meets Rhiannon for the first time and he describes her as almost ghostlike, standing in the stairwell of this grand old Victorian house in her long white dress with her platinum blonde hair and unusually light brown eyes, how there's something almost ominous about her but not threatening and I think it really sums up the exact vibes I designed her to have

so now that I've mentioned Rhiannon I'm thinking about her bc I think she's a very character, very much a Luna Lovegood inspired head in the clouds person who seems naive and out there but is actually very observant and clever and tends to know more than anyone else and says really cryptic shit so she's very fun to write dialogue for

there have been tons of times at work I've randomly thought of some stupid little line and immediately thought "oh Rhiannon absolutely says this" which is very fun
