is it too niche if i say i can't stop thinking about how hope is a pretty major character in lightning returns and yet he doesn't have his own official lr theme? and how i'm 100% interpreting that as a nod to how his grasp on himself/reality was so muddled up as a result of the torture bhunivelze put him through that trying to define his lr character with a theme would've been fruitless bc of the blank slate he had been turned into?

#and even if you consider the ark or meeting you as his theme they're so different from his prev more acoustic-sounding ones #that it might as well be symbolic of how disconnected he is from his own past at that point #lr hope is on my brain 24/7 in case you couldn't tell #vanille also doesn't really have her own lr theme #but her old theme was still incorporated into the game and i'd say that's bc she was still dealing with the guilt of her past actions #whereas neither of hope's themes were included in lr #i go a little coocoo thinking about that #final fantasy xiii #hope estheim
